CHAPTER 17: 100
I wanted to write this story detailed and I wanted to go deeper into how Pastry feels. The first couple chapters are written to make events more understandable and less sudden. If you REALLY want you can skip right to Chapter 5 where bigger things happen.~
I will post the chapters gradually, for now I have them as drafts saved in a document. There will be some time skips in this, hopefully they aren't too confusing. As said previously, you hear from a 3rd person view describing Pastry's point of view, what she knows etc. It's a 3rd person view that knows all she knows and not more. When you are Red Velvet you see things from how he sees things, also a 3rd person view.

Update 15: Oct 29th 2022
Release of Chapter 11
I was slightly wrong, the chapter ended up having 1600 words. It still released before Halloween though and that I was aiming for. It took longer to come out than I thought, mostly because it is the longest chapter yet. I'm going to work on Chapter 12 and no I don't have any promises when it comes to the length. If you have suggestions, please leave them in the comments. If the story is lacky of something, let me know. As I said I like details to make it easier to live yourself into the story. Hence it hasn't gotten that far yet.

I deeply apologise for disappearing (I do). I PROMISE YOU THOUGH, THIS PROJECT ISN'T OVER! We reached beyond our goal, over 7k views! I'm very thankful to everyone and it seems a lot of you guys like this. I was wondering if Devsisters would update ToSC themselves.. since they didn't I think I should step in. Another edit: I went a bit overboard. BUT THE CHAPTER IS POSTED. LONGEST CHAPTER WITH OVER 1700 WORDS. On a quick note.. I am not done polishing so if you see an error know I'll fix it eventually.

I've been doing updates every 2 days lately. Are you enjoying? I'm working on the next chapter and I expect to be done soon(ish). I have no goals in mind for now BUT the sneakpeak is out.
Another thing I'd like to announce for you reading, I consider making a spin-off story for Pomegranate. Same time different perspective. It might be short though.. It'll still be about love, but not directed towards our main characters here. I like the idea she has a crush on Dark Enchantress, don't know about you guys. Not sure it will be as successful as this is, too. Let me know your thoughts under this or any chapter I'll see it anyway~ Thanks again for being patient with me! 💝

Hey everyone, I got hired by Devsisters to write "Romance Kingdom"! Okay I'm joking, I didn't. If I did the story would be a lot better. (Also a joke there, unless you disagree) April Fools is coming up so it's not too early for a joke right? Now something I won't joke about is the upcoming chapter. It will be done WITHIN A WEEK. Maybe even more will be done I don't know. I won't promise too much, I assure you though I have ideas for the future... <3

Alright, maybe I wasn't finished with Chapter 13. I'm here though don't worry! Just that I want to polish the chapter as much as possible. I am trying to be make it the best it can be, that's why it's taking so long. It is over 1.1k words, and it will be a lot more. Unless I split it into two, but I prefer to do one pov in one chapter. Another reason why it's taking so long is my need of taking small breaks so I don't get a burnout lol. (Plus I have stuff to take care of in real life) THE PROJECT GOES ON! This time Chapter 13 will be out.

Hold on, the last update was almost a month ago? Time flies by way too fast. I certainly thought I left an update earlier but maybe I didn't. Didn't mean to leave you guys un-updated by any means.. Apologies again! (I really am sorry for this taking so long.) Same old reasons, real life going it's way. You forget how many days go by cause it happens so fast. Feels like a week since the last update for me. In any case.. who is ready to read 2100 words? 😋
(Oh yeah and Chapter 14 is in works now, can't promise the word amount! Going for more than 2.1k is a challenge.)

Update 24: May 30th 2023
Early version of Chapter 14 is out!
We are getting close to 10k views on this story! It's both amazing and kinda crazy. Because of my rather long breaks, I really thought Cookie Run Kingdom would do a continuation before I would get close to finishing. Oh how wrong I was. It is a bit disappointing. I'm saying this since as you may know, the 28th was Red Velvet's birthday/anniversary. He became playable on the 28th and Pastry became playable on the 13th.
I think May is a great month to address my love towards these two characters when the developers can't. To whoever that decides to read these updates, my motivation for this story lies behind this injustice. It pains me to see such great potential getting put to waste when it could be so so much more. I really hope that despite everything, you are enjoying my interpretation and adaptation of these characters.
If you like my work, would you consider to read more stories? As mentioned before, I hate when good characters are ignored and moved to the sideline for some odd reason. I do have some ideas in mind within the Cookie Run Kingdom community, but I'd like to hear from you.

10k views, thank you all! It's finally summer and that gives me more time to focus on story writing. Yes, I know I have been inconsistent. If you wonder how long the story is going to be, there's still a few chapters left. I have lost interest in the game but my interest for these two characters hasn't faded away. I still am a loyal shipper! When I finally finish this project (it could be I finish it this summer or by the end of the year..) I will miss working on it. You have been a great fanbase and truly mean a lot. I may be repeating myself here but I will be forever grateful. I must admit I do feel pressured to make the story appealing enough to please you. Either way, you can expect more Redpastry from me this summer. Love you!❤️

I'm still here ❗️ I have started working on another project meantime I waited for my motivation to return. I truly like writing, but as my passion for the game faded, I have had a hard time getting into the lore again. I still love and am passionate about these characters. However with the game itself I can't say the same. Cookie Run has just gotten boring for me and I wish that wasn't the case. It got more pushy with new characters, becoming more pay to win each day and less f2p friendly. I myself wasn't f2p, I spent a bit because I genuinely liked the game. I payed because I wanted to, not because I had to. Right now it's not like that. Before, the game was fun BECAUSE it was so friendly and cozy and not about using
money for everything. If I wanted a super competitive game I would just play Genshin Impact and spend there.
CRK was my spot to relax, but it soon lost that spark. Yes, it was always a game about fighting, but it was not just fighting. There was building and stories. I miss the old stories, especially Tower of sweet chaos. I miss getting Ancient Cookies and not Super Epics that should be called "Almost Legendaries" because of the greedy gacha system they're locked behind. I miss getting actually good lore and the Devs ignoring that one good piece of lore. Cookies vs cakes was the only good piece of lore they had and they didn't do anything with it. Instead, they decided to go the money hungry route instead making too many characters they can afford to make personalities for. Leaving them baked with no decorations. Just flavourless cookies with no real backstory. They're just cookies, they exist only for money.
Not for emotion, their sole purpose is to make the devs cash.
So while I still love Pastry and Red Velvet, it has become more difficult for me to write this.
I won't lie and say "I don't feel pressured" to write this story, because I certainly do. It all started with my passion for these characters, it was me doing something willingly. Good story doesn't just appear on a page, it comes from within me. I have been writing this mostly for you to feel satisfied, but also for me. Afterall this is how I got this idea in the first place. It's basically something I do in my freetime. It's not a job, I don't get paid for it. I treat it as a hobby rather, if I don't have the energy or time I won't commit to it. That's why there has been gaps in the writing, this is just a side mission in my life.
Thank you again for being patient with me! I don't have plans to abandon this project, if anything I want to get it done. Please remember I'm a human too, I wish I could make paragraphs magically appear but I wish I could.

Surprise! Late happy new year. I have been playing Cookie Run Kingdom a bit, actually! Mostly for the anniversary but also for White Lily since she means the most to me out of the ancients. The reasoning is obviously ToSC, which I noticed, was removed as a gamemode. However I am counting (not really) that the Devs will revamp the mode and add new story. Until then I might aswell do mine~
