(Y/N)'s POV
It was raided by titans like a few hours ago. Everything was broken, trashed and somewhat deserted.
Everyone were trembling in fear when they saw the titans that came inside the wall and some people died, not found, injured and screaming on what just happened moments ago.
I, on the other hand, was just panting from running away while coughing slightly and good thing I managed to escape from the sight of the titans.
I lost my family and I don't know where they are right now but I hope they survived but the bad news is that we lost our very own home so maybe we might as well move to another district or wall if I may add.
I closed my eyes with disbelief and questioned myself, "Why? Why does it have to be this way?".
I opened my eyes slowly and began to remember something what happened a few moments ago during the breach.
-FLASHBACK-
A few hours ago, I was running away from the titans that are already inside the district. I saw everyone running away aswell and people being eaten.
It was a horrible sight but I shrugged the scene and the good news is that the military are here to save us all. When I got tired from running, a titan was coming in my way.
I thought it would be the end but just when it was about to approach me, a man saved me in a blink of an eye. I was surprised at first but when I saw the green cloak that he's wearing, I spotted the Wings of Freedom symbol which made me smile with amazement and relief.
I realized that this soldier is from the Survey Corps that everyone was talking about but when I saw his face, I recognized it who that was.
It was humanity's strongest soldier.
His name is Levi although the Survey Corp either address him as Captain or Corporal.
I was surprised to see him in person but I didn't get a chance to say thank you because he disappeared using some sort of machine that they use to fight titans in mid-air which was actually called the 3D manuever gear or 3DMG in short.
-END OF FLASHBACK-
Anyways, I sighed deeply and thinking how should I thank humanity's strongest for saving me. I've been having these thoughts for a while and suddenly when I looked at my right, I saw some soldiers investigating the area.
Then, along the line of soldiers, I spotted Captain Levi.
My eyes widened and thought, 'It's Captain Levi...!'.
'But, can I stand?', I thought as I looked at my legs thinking if I could at least walk.
I tried to get up but I felt soreness on my legs and suddenly I fell on the floor slightly. I sighed again and just when I was about to make a second attempt, a person came to me and said with a monotone voice, "Oi, you alright?".
I gasped and turned to see Captain Levi right in front of me with his green cloak.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe I found Levi here of all places.
Am I lucky or what?
I mean, he's humanity's strongest after all and it's rare for me to meet him here in a place like this.
Although, meeting him here after such a horrible scenario that happened a moment was actually making my worries go away.
I was silent for a second but I got the guts to speak with confidence, "O-oh...yeah...it's just...I'm tired from all the running".
He looked at me with a hint of concern on his eyes but something tells me it's just my imagination because he looked like the kind of guy who hides his emotions.
"Hmph, glad you made it out alive", he said bluntly as he frowned for a moment and decided to leaned on the wall beside me with a sigh.
There was silence between us which was a bit awkward since we met just now so decided to break the silence by having a conversation in a friendly way if possible, "Um...you must be Captain Levi, right?".
He looked at me again with his stunning bluish gray eyes and answered, "Yes, I am. You've heard of me, miss?".
"Oh yes...from some people I know apparently and my parents", I said and smiled.
He just simply nodded at my answer and looked at the sky with a tired expression.
Uh oh, I hope I didn't bore him or anything.
Maybe I should kick it up a notch.
"Ohh...and thank you for saving me out there! If you wouldn't be there, I would be eaten in just a few minutes", I said and looked at him with a shy look.
He was silent and suddenly he said, "Tch, it was nothing".
Hmm, never thought that Levi can be silent and a man with a few words when it comes to conversations like this.
I turned to the sky and said, "You know...I kinda admire your skills when it comes to slaying titans".
He raised an eyebrow and didn't answer but he just looked at me with his stoic expression and listened to me speak.
"I mean, you were so cool out there! I heard you killed so many titans, and I was amazed!", I said and smiled brightly.
He placed his finger on his chin and for some reason, I can feel chills down my spine as his gaze was pretty much intimidating or rather mesmerizing.
I scratched the back of my neck while laughing awkwardly and said, "Did I got excited?".
He looked away and simply answered, "Hmm, I think you did".
I smiled like dork and for some reason, my legs are starting to feel a bit better so I decided to lift myself up and luckily, I didn't fall on the ground this time.
"You know, Captain...", I said softly while looking up at the gray sky.
"Hmm?", he asked as he looked at me.
"Seeing this scenario, makes me want to join the scouts right after this", I said and sighed.
His eyes had a hint of curiosity and asked, "You want to join the scouts?".
I nodded with determination written on my face and said, "Yeah! When I saw people getting people getting eaten by titans, I always get the feeling that someone should stop them. Besides, I want to show those titans whose boss".
He noticed my confidence on my voice and aura that is practically surrounding me which however, made him amused.
"Hmph, interesting. I never thought you have the guts to join the scouts. What's your name?".
I wasn't expecting that from him since he doesn't talk much but I answered him anyway, "O-Oh, my name is (Y/N)(L/N)!!".
"(Y/N), huh? Well then, it was nice chit-chatting with you but I've got to go. I have more important things to do with Commander Erwin", he said and clicked his tongue as he started looking at dirt from the ground and I didn't expect him to react that way towards dirty surroundings.
"Oh, sorry about that! I was actually planning to thank you that's all but I guess we ended up conversing with each other, h-haha", I said and rubbed my head slightly with embarrassment.
He sighed softly and was about to leave but he stopped then he said without looking at me, "Tch, it's fine although you're a pretty interesting person, miss (L/N). Maybe if your lucky, we might bump into each other...someday".
He looked like he was ready to leave but he looked at me again one more time and said this:
"If you are willing to help humanity by joining the Survey Corps, don't disappoint me. You got that?"
I jumped slightly from his last words and I could feel tingles through my body like I've encountered a hail storm.
Just when I was about to say anything else, Captain Levi used his 3DMG just to disappear quickly.
I smiled and thought, 'Yeah...maybe someday'.
