I wasn't sure what I was going to do about this whole situation with Spencer.
I was afraid that I was going to have to confront him the next morning but he left early, and I was relieved...for the most part.
Last night I knew Spencer didn't want to talk about it at all but I was sure that he would have some logical explanation for what that was yesterday, or he would tell me it was all a joke. Either way at least I would have got some type of answer out of him.
Even at school he was ignoring me. His eyes never met mine, even as I raised my hand to answer a question he looked right through me.
I wasnt even able to speak to him after class because as soon as the bell rang he left the room as quickly as possible.
This wasnt the Spencer I knew, and it scared me. He was avoiding me when he was supposed to be teasing me, it didnt make any sense.
The whole day Spencer occupied my thoughts and I couldn't pay attention or focus at all.
After the final bell rang I went to my locker to see Rose waiting for me.
"Hey." I said as I unlocked my locker.
"We're going shopping for dresses, and we have to get the boys matching ties." She said with a bright smile.
"Boys as in plural, whose your date missy?" I asked as I put my books in my bag and locked my locker.
"Rob Santo." She said with a smirk on her face. I knew why she was smiling so brightly, she has had a crush on Rob ever since freshman year and when he asked her to homecoming she was so happy.
"Alright lets go."

As we walked through the many stores searching for the perfect dress I couldn't keep my mind off of Spencer, not that I expected to.
It was just this whole situation confused me and I couldn't forget the way he made me feel as his lips got closer to mine.
"Earth to Lainey!" I heard Rose scream.
"Yeah?" I said being brought back to reality.
"What do you think I should choose?" She asked.
"Uhm..." I said not knowing what she was talking about.
"Whats going on in the pretty little head of yours?" She asked as she looked through the racks of dresses.
"Nothing." I lied.
"Liar I know its something, and I'm pretty sure it has to do with that hottie of a teacher." She said.
"No! " I said quickly filled with suspicion.
"Cut the shit Lainey. Ever since hes been at school you've been acting weird. Listen you don't have to tell me whats going on, but I could tell you've got a thing for him, and I bet he feels the same you just need a push in the right direction." She said as she took a short slutty dress off the rack and held up against me.
"Wait what? Hes a teacher! And hes almost 5 years older than me!" I said in a fake shocked tone. Even though I knew all of those things were true, I never thought about Spencer like that so the whole teacher student thing never occurred to me, but it doesn't matter cause its not like anything was going to happen.
"No. He's your brothers best friend who you knew all your life." She said, and I just let out a sigh of resignation.
"Again you don't have to tell me but we're going to find a dress that says 'look whos all grown up and ready to play' " she said with a smirk.
"Oh god..." I said.
After walking all over the mall and searching every clothing rack Rose finally found me a dress that we both agreed on.
When I got home the house was empty, so I called up Jake and told him to come over so I can show him the dress and give him his tie.
"So model for me babe." Jake said as he laid back on my bed with his hands behind his head.
I stripped my pants and shirt in front of Jake, I was so comfortable with Jake that things like that were no big deal to us.
I slipped on the dress and wiggled until it was secure around me.
The dress was very simple and plain, but my curves didn't make it seem so simple.
It was a black strapless dress that was tight around my chest, stomach, and came out at my hips. It stopped mid thigh. According to Rose it was sexy, daring, and classy.
And from the way Jake stared up and down my body, I'm assuming that he thought it looked nice.
"So you like it?" I said as I did a small twirl.
"Like it? I love it! You look amazing." He said with a smirk.
"Thanks Jake." I said with a smile.
After I took the dress off I threw a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt on and laid in bed with Jake.
I didn't realize how tired I was until I fell asleep on Jakes chest.
I opened my eyes to the sound of a knock on the door. The door was already slightly opened so the knock pushed the door open wider. I saw Spencer in the doorway staring at me and Jake in my bed with fire in his eyes.
"Dinners ready." He said with his teeth clenched and didnt even wait for me to respond before he left .
When I finally got jake up and convinced him to stay for a very awkward dinner we went downstairs and sat down.
"I knew you two were asleep up there." My mother said and then continued to rant about how we both need more sleep and should go to bed earlier.
I glanced over to Spencer who looked more angrier than before. His eyes were focused on the food in his plate, and his jaw was clenched tight.
"So are you two ready for homecoming?" My mom asked completely unaware of the tension in the room.
"Yeah I bought my dress today." I said.
"She looks beautiful in it." Jake said.
"I'm sure she does, I cant wait to see her in it!" My mom said happily.
"Your brother will be home, and we can all take pictures together. We can use it in your future wedding video." My mother said happily as Spencer began to choke on his meatloaf.
"Are you okay Spencer?" My mother asked, and he just gave her a thumbs up as he drank his water.
"Mom I thought we convinced you that we're not getting married." I said.
My mother always hoped that we would fall in love, get married and have children one day.
"Well I know that but you never know what the future holds. Jakes such a nice boy, any girl would be lucky to marry him." My mother said.
I looked over to Jake who was trying to fight back a smile, while Spencer was tuning beat red.
"What time are we picking up A.J from the airport on Thursday?" I asked my mother anxiously.
"Oh I didnt tell you, I have to work late thursday night so you and Spencer are going to have to pick him up." My mother said. Now it was my turn to choke. A whole 45 minute car ride with Spencer wasn't going to be fun at all.
"Thanks for the dinner Mama Price, but I better get going." Jake said.
"Oh alright, do you want to take some home?" She asked.
"No thank you." He said.
"I'll walk you out." I said and got up to walk him to the door.
"Lucy you got a lot of explaining to do." Jake said with a Ricky Ricardo accent.
"But Ricky..." I whined in my horrible Lucy impersonation.
"No seriously you can cut the tension in that room with a knife and I want to know whats that all about, so i'll call you later."
I was not looking forward to that call at all.

Hey guys ! I wanted to update this story cause I feel like it deserved to be after the votes & comments & especially being #188 on teen fiction! I wrote this on my phone so I don't know how long it is. Also I did my best to spellcheck it but I probably missed a lot so I'll fix it tomorrow when I'm on my computer.
