"Who were those people on the groupchat?"
"Believe me Pete, you don't want to know."
"Alright then, do you wanna order first?"
The two teens ordered their McDonald's and ate while making conversation.
"There was this one time, where I was the park with my friends and we wanted to go on the swings but there were a bunch of little kids on them so my friend, Izzy, shoved one of them off and sat on the swing, just straight up ignoring the crying child."
"Oh my god-"
"Then I wanted to go on one so I told one of them that I fucked their mum and I was gonna be their stepdad."
"Oh my god-"
"Then Bella wanted to go on so she started barking at one of them until it ran away."
"Did you just call a child 'it'?"
"then their parents came up to us and their like 'where is your mother?' And me and Izzy have this thing we do where if there's ever like a problem or something like that, she starts talking polish and I start speaking Russian."
"What-"
"So I only knew how to swear in Russian back then so I was just repeatedly calling her a cunt while she was just swearing at them in polish."
"And that works?"
"As long as those people can't understand the language you're speaking, yeah, pretty much."
"So it worked that time?"
"No, one of the mums was Russian and understood everything I was saying. We just ran away."
"So it doesn't work?"
"No it does."
"Care to elaborate on that?"
"No."
"Oh, okay."
"No, I'm kidding. So basically me and Izzy stole some cans of monster from the convince store near our school and we were with Bella this time. It was like September at the start of year 9 so I was turning 14 that school year. It was like 4:30 since we had a one hour detention for messing around in sculpture class."
"You guys had sculpture at school? That's awesome dude!"
"I know right! I wish they had it in American school, that and drama were the best lessons! But anyway, back to my story.We stole like four cans of it and when we were looking at what we were actually going to pay for the dude at the till said 'if you're not buying anything then leave' so I was like 'well me and Bella will go wait out side' since Izzy had the money."
"I thought you said you got caught?"
"We did. We were waiting outside for like two minutes before Izzy came out and she's like 'run, bitch! He's checking the cameras!' So we all ran down the street as fast as we could and when we were like half a mile away Izzy told us what happened."
"What happened?"
"Pete-"
"Right, sorry."
"So she said the guy asked her "did you steal anything?" And she said no and he was like "I'm checking the security cameras." So she was like 'okay, have a nice night.' And then she walked out.
And then in like February, since we hadn't gone back there because we were too scared of like getting arrested."
"You got arrested?"
"No! Well, not for that at least."
"What!-"
"I had a detention after school this day and Bella was like 'I'll wait in the library and we can go to Tesco after' because the school was right next to a Tesco as well - and a McDonald's too. So after the detention she was like "how are we going to buy monster if we can't go to the convenience store?"
"I thought you were going to Tesco?"
"Yeah, but they said that we were 'too young' to but monster. So anyway we kinda just stood there until I said "you just speak polish and I'll speak Russian, pretend that we don't speak English so if they ask any questions we can just pretend not to know what they're saying."
"That's actually kind of smart."
"It is! So we went in there I was just swearing at her in like four different languages. I didn't mean to but I kept switching from Russian to Spanish to Romanian to Italian."
"You can speak all those languages?"
"I can swear at people in all those languages but I can't speak them."
"How does that work?"
"It doesn't."
The two teens spent the next hour sitting in McDonald's while Moon told Peter about all the fun she got up to in England. They soon lost track of time and it was 2am before the manager asked them to leave.
"I know we were in McDonald's for like 5 hours.. but I'm starting to get hungry."
Moon chuckled and glanced at Peter.
"Subway is open 24 hours?"

The two got their sandwiches, drinks and a couple cookies each before sitting down across from each other.
This time it was Peters turn to talk and Moon sat staring at him with big blue eyes and a happy smile on her face.
The two stayed at the table until 6am, when the sun started to rise and Moon was getting a little tired.
"If you don't want to go back to the tower, we could go to my aunts apartment in queens?"
"Yeah, sure, pete."
The raven haired girl mumbled quietly, not fully hearing what he was saying.
The two walked out of subway and waved over a taxi, sitting in the car for half an hour before finally arriving.
Moon had fallen asleep on Peters shoulder and was woken up by a hand gently tracing shapes onto her arm.
"Moony, we're here."
"Mhm.."
She snuggled further into him and he chuckled, putting his arm around her waist as she nestled against him and they walked up to the apartment.
It was almost 7 in the morning so it wasn't a surprise to Peter that his aunt was already awake.
"Peter! I've missed you so much!"
She pulled him into a hug as the British girl leaned sleepily on the doorway.
"And is this the soulmate I've been hearing so much about?"
"Yeah.."
Peter mumbled shyly, looking down at his hands when he saw the cheeky smirk on his soulmates face.
"Im Peters aunt, May! It's so great to meet you! You must be Moon!"
"That's me,"
She responded with a smile and was quite surprised when May pulled her into a hug.
"Aunt May, I was wondering if we could sleep in my old room for a couple hours? It's just that Moon doesn't want to go back to the tower just yet and her apartments too far away-"
"Of course you can! Moon, I want you to know that you're always welcome here!"
"Thanks, May.."
She sleepily trailed off and stumbled a bit, Peters arms wrapping around her waist protectively.
The two teens made their way into the room where Moon kicked off her shoes and got into bed, waiting for Peter who was in the bathroom.
She was already wearing some black denim shorts - which had been discarded into the floor with her shoes - and one of Tony's AC/DC T-shirt's.
As soon as her head hit the pillow she was out like a light. Peter smiled softly when he saw that she was asleep but made his way back into the kitchen to talk to May for a while.
"She's very pretty. You're lucky you got a soulmate like her. She seems sweet."
"She is - both of those things. I love her so much already."
"Aww, my baby's in love!"
"I think I am.."
"You gonna tell me about her?"
The two sat on the couch and Peter started rambling about her.
"She really likes frogs and elephants and the colours green and purple. She really wants a pet cat and she loves the rain. She makes jokes all the time and doesn't really take things seriously. She prefers when it's nighttime and she's got an apartment in New York. She lives with her friend Aimee and across the hall from her other friend Eric. She works at this cute caffe called mazies and-"
"Pete, slow down."
"Right, sorry. I just- I really like her. I think she's really cool."
"I know you do. But I can't understand you if you're speaking that quickly."
May chuckled and patted Peter on the shoulder, giving him a smile and a nod, indicating for him to carry on.
"She likes to listen to Lana del Rey but she also likes the neighbourhood and arctic monkeys. She loves 90s and 2000s movies, like '10 thing I hate about you' is her favourite one. She likes to sing and her favourite movie is cruella. She really wants to be a fashion designer but also a singer. She has really good style. Every time I see her I just think 'wow' because she's, like, so cool."
"Sounds like you really like her."
"I do! I mean, she loves kind off mature-ish cartoons like the Simpsons and Rick and Morty. And she loves chicken nuggets and lasagna. She also really likes energy drinks like monster and stuff like that. And donuts- she loves donuts more than anything."
Peter cut himself off with a yawn and then May told him to get some rest while she went to work.
The 19 year old boy lay next to his soulmate and kissed her head, wrapping his arms around her waist and tracing shapes on her bare thighs.
One hand came up to play with her wavy hair and he felt her shift in her sleep, trying to be closer to him.
They lay with her back against his chest and one arm snaked around her waist, the other with his hand resting on the side of her hip.
He eventually drifted off to sleep with his face pushed into the crook of Moons neck.
A/N bit of a weird chapter.
The part about the monster energy convenience store thing is a true story that happened between me and my friend. :))
