Writer's POV
Abhay was throwing a party to all his closed ones , including the cricketers , so that they can celebrate their victory .
Dev was one of Abhay's friend as their dads were friends.
Shub came to the party and Ananya was clinging into Abhay like a koala bear.
Abhay: Can you just leave me alone for a while? You are really irritating Ananya.
Ananya: No one knows what's going between us yet Abhay, so we have to act.
Abhay: Exactly, I have to inform about our break up very soon, cause I really can't tolerate you anymore.
Abhay glared at her , and went towards shub who was near the drink counter.
Abhay: Hey buddy.
Shub: What's up bro ? Whats going on between you and Ananya?
Abhay sighed and told everything shub.
Shub: I never got good vibes from her, good that you didn't have any feelings towards her.
Abhay: I was not ready for a relationship at all , but I didn't have any option than saying yes to her when she proposed.
Shub: Yeah and you you are still thinking about your college days crush right?
Abhay smiled unknowingly.
Abhay: I don't know buddy, don't know even where she is , maybe she's in a relationship now ...
who knows , it was just a small crush.
Shub: You sure?
Shub asked with a teasing smirk
Abhay: shut up...
oh Dev!!! Come shub I will introduce to someone.
Abhay took shub near dev who just came inside.
Abhay greeted him with a hug.
Abhay: How are you dev ? And meet him, he is shub , my best friend and..
Dev: And Indian cricket team's captain .. who doesn't know him dude.. congratulations guys... you all rocked the match.
Shub: Thank you bro.
Abhay: Dev is my dad's best friend's son, one of my friend too.
Dev: you didn't come to my engagement also , and you call yourself as my friend ?
Abhay: Sorry dude , where's your fiance by the way ? I told you to bring her na .
Dev: She went to bring her purse , oh ... there she is ....
All the three boys looked at the door Abhay was happy while Shub was shocked.
Zoya looked at them and got shocked too as she never expected to see abhay and shub over there.
Shub and Zoya was sharing an eyelock.
Abhay: Oh my god !!! Zoya?
Zoya: Hey Abhay...
Abhay hugged her, even she reciprocated.
Abhay: How are you girl?
Its been so long since I saw you...
where did you disappear suddenly and shub look na ,
Abhay said and turned towards shub who was standing with a blank face. Then only it clicked his mind.
He bit his lower lip as he knew that how awkward is the situation now .
Dev: how do you guys know each other?
He asked while sliding his arm around zoya's waist ...
Shub eyed his arm which was on zoya's waist and looked away .
Zoya was looking down .
Abhay: umm , we studied in the same college and we were friends too as we all had two or three subjects together.
Dev: Woah that's nice ,So even shub knows her then?
Shub didn't say anything, Abhay nudged him.
Shub: Y..eah, I know her, Hi .... Zoya.
Zoya: Hi... shub
She smiled nervously.
Abhay: Ok guys, let's enjoy....
Dev: Yeah..
Abhay took shub away from there.
Abhay: Sorry bro I didn't knew about this.
Shub: That's ok, but there's something which i wanna know from someone else.
Abhay: Shub... she is your ex, she is engaged now , I think you should move on now.
Shub: Do you think its easy?
She is my first love and my last love too Abhay,
I can't let her go easily ....
you just go and enjoy the party.
Don't worry about me .
Abhay kept quiet as he knew there's no use of talking to shub about it now.
Zoya was feeling suffocated,
she never thought she will meet shub again ... and she knew that she was in a mess.....
Zoya: Dev, I need to use the washroom, I will be back.
Dev: Ok baby .
Zoya came out from the washroom and got pinned into the nearby wall suddenly... She recognised the touch instantly.
Zoya: Shubi?
She asked while opening her eyes.
Shub: Huh, you still recognise my touch ?
But got engaged to someone when I'm still waiting for us to be together again .
Tears were rolling down from her eyes uncontrollably.
Zoya: Shubi please, try to understand, it's too late , I'm engaged now ...
Shub: Do you love him?
Zoya: Dev is a nice guy, he ... he loves me a lot ...and we are getting married next year.
Shub: I asked, do you love him?
Zoya kept quiet.
Shub: I got my answer zoya , you don't love him,
for sure your dad must've forced you to get engaged to him.
Zoya: Nothing like that shub, I like dev.
Shub: You like dev, but you love me.
Zoya looked into his eyes .
Shub: You still love me as much as I love you.
He joined their foreheads together. Zoya cried silently,
She took a deep breathe and pushed him away from her.
Zoya: No shub,
please leave me alone ,
I have moved on ,
for God's sake , leave me shub!!!
It's been six years , a lot has changed, yes I don't love dev , but I like him,
I will start loving him with the time .... but we both doesn't have a future together!!! Try to understand,
We broke up six years back shub!!!
Just move on and forget me ....
we can never be together again!!! Please shub ...
She sad while crying .
Shub: six years back if you asked me , I would have told that if you really love someone, you'd let them go ,
but now I look at you and I dream about you, I see that I have been wrong , if you really love someone ,
I think you have to take them back ....
I will take you back Zoya,
be ready to be mine again, love .
He smiled, while pecking her forehead and left from there.
Zoya broke down completely.
Zoya: Why ??? Why shub?
Why are you doing this? You are making it really hard for me ....
I'm not that strong ,
I can't fight against you,
I can't hurt dev, he is really nice,
I can't break his heart , I can't shub,
I'm already engaged, you have to move one .... you have to... please....
She cried for a while and went towards dev after wiping her tears.
Dev: Where were you zoya ? Are you ok?
Zoya: Can you please drop me home dev ?
Dev: What happend?
Zoya: Im having a terrible headache, so please can you drop me home ?
Dev: Yeah , sure let's go.
He dropped her home and went back to the party, even shub left the party after sometime.
Next day , Abhay went to a mall to buy some stuff before he leave for his next match.
He was wearing a black hoodie pairing it with black shades.
He was hiding himself from fans.
He entered into the lift and there were another two people. He felt someone is staring at him ,
but he ignored. He came out from the lift .
Someone: Abhay....Abhay Sharma ?
Abhay sighed as he is caught, he was not ready to be surrounded with fans at that moment .
He turned to see the person's face .
And he was beyond shocked.
He was looking at the person without blinking while that person was smiling happily looking at him .
Someone: Don't tell me you forgot me Abhay !
Abhay: Ridhi...
