The familiar tune rumbled its way through the walls, buzzing in your ears as the echo bounced and ricocheted all the way down here beneath the main stage. The song had grown on you, finding it annoying at first, but now, you'd catch yourself humming it every now and again. You could tell the show was almost over, Freddy and his friends would be down here soon enough to get their routine maintenance. It was required after every show, and as the lead technician, it's your job to make sure it gets done properly. With everything in place, your tools all organized, and the system rebooted, you just needed each one to step into the protective barrier. You weren't sure why this was all necessary at first, but upon learning just how complicated the systems on these animatronics were, you became grateful for the extra protection. The technology put into these machines was mesmerizing, and that's what drew you to the job in the first place. You've always been good with your hands, being able to build and take things apart came naturally to you. It ran in the family actually, both your dad and your brother being mechanics. While they were more interested in cars, robotics had always been your favorite elective in school. Working here at the Pizzaplex is a summer job, providing some income towards your degree in advanced robotics and engineering. It wasn't much, but being able to learn about Fazbear's advanced AI and top of the line machinery up close, was a good trade off.

On cue, the hydraulic system that lowers the main stage triggered, letting you know the animatronics were on the way down. You wiped the grease from your hands onto the front of your Fazbear issued coveralls. They weren't very flattering, a soft grey color with the word 'TECHNICIAN' printed on the back, patches of the company logo and sign on the short sleeves, and your name patch on the front, on your chest next to the zipper. Best thing about them besides keeping your regular clothes clean, was all the pockets. The double doors behind you pushed open, revealing the gang of animatronic rock-stars as they made their way into Parts and Service.

"Hey guys, how was the show?" You asked, looking up at the leader of the group. Freddy smiled down at you, his ears giving a little wiggle.

"Outstanding susperstar! We had a blast!" The bear turned to his friends, his infectious attitude filling them with encouragement.

"I totally nailed that guitar solo!" Chica leaned down to give you a fist-bump, which you happily returned.

"Nice," You turned to Roxanne. "You get the crowd to cheer your name again Roxy?" You knew she was sensitive about her self-image, it always intrigued you, the way each one of them developed their own personality. It was simply immaculate.

"They always cheer for me (Y\N), I'm the best!" She said, putting a hand on her hip.

You smiled, reassuring her with a nod. "What about you Monty?" You asked, turning to the gator. "Did you have fun?"

He shrugged and adjusted the star shaped glasses on his face. "It was fine, just glad Freddy didn't malfunction this time."

"Uhh-" You tried not to show it in your expression, but you could see the slight sadness slip onto Freddy's face as he remembered the incident a few weeks ago. "No worries, that's what I'm here for! Let's get you guys patched up so you can go rest for the night. Who wants to go first?"

"Ohohoh, me first, me first!" Chica raised her hand with an excited squeal as she ran over to the protective barrier and stepped inside, laying down in the chair.

"You know the drill Chica, try not to move." The door closed to the barrier and you walked over to the monitor. Each one of the band members had a certain maintenance protocol, their parts were all unique. You selected 'Glamrock Chica' from the drop-down menu, and started the routine checkup.

"Have you been down here all day (Y\N)?" Freddy asked, now standing next to you at the desk.

"Mostly, I don't see any reason to leave besides to get some lunch." You shrugged.

"There are so many things to do here at the Pizzplex susperstar, you should try and meet new friends." He looked concerned, his head slightly tilted to the side.

"Freddy, did you just scan me?" You placed a hand on your hip and gave the bear an exasperated look.

Freddy raised his hands defensively, "I sense you are in a bit of distress, perhaps it is a bit lonely down here?" He blinked.

"Freddy that's sweet of you, but I'm fine." You crossed your arms over your chest. "No need to worry, now get into the barrier." You pushed him over to the door, your hands only reaching about waist level. His metallic surface was cool to the touch, the metal was glossy and smooth.

Chica had just finished as you pushed him inside.

"(Y\N), I am only try-" His words were cut off by the door closing. Freddy sighed and laid down in the chair.

You selected 'Glamrock Freddy' from the drop-down menu, and watched as the machine preformed auto routine service. If anything major was to malfunction or break, or if one of their parts needed to be replaced, you'd have to be in the barrier with them. No matter how advanced technology got, it still needed a human's touch. Once Freddy was finished, you did the same for both Roxanne and Monty. With each member completed, they all walked up the ramp to their respective elevators which would take them back to their room in Rock-Star Row. A job well done, you'd just have to clean up and verify inventory, then you could go home for the night. As you began to start on these tasks, the walkie-talkie hooked to your belt sounded with a bell alarm. The bell was a signal that someone upstairs was requesting maintenance.

You grabbed the device from your belt and held down the button, "This is (Y\N), what's the issue?"

"Hey (Y\N), I know you're finishing up for the night, but I have a favor to ask you."

It was your supervisor. He didn't know much about robot repair, but he was the one who handled your schedule and signed your paychecks, so it was best not to piss him off.

"We're having an issue with one of the bots upstairs, he needs to be fixed before tomorrow. If you stay over tonight and fix him, I'll pay you eight hours of overtime."

Your brows raised in surprise. Eight hours? That would be a heavy paycheck. You didn't have anything to get back to at home, and one night at the Pizzaplex wouldn't kill you, the over night guards did it all the time. Maybe you could catch up with Vanessa, or finally venture around the Atrium like Freddy suggested.

"Sure, send him down, I'll take a look at him."

"Thanks (Y\N), you're a life saver. I'm sending him down on the stage, but he's powered down, you'll have to bring him in yourself."

"No worries, I got it covered."

"See you in the morning (Y\N)."

"Goodnight."

You hooked the walkie-talkie back on your belt and walked over to grab the hand-truck that was leaned up against the wall. You could hear the stage being lowered back down, your project for the night was on the way. You wheeled the hand-truck out the doors and down the hall, once the stage had lowered all the way, you pushed up the ramp and onto the main platform. A figure sat hunched over in the middle of the stage. It was covered with a blanket, as to keep it's outer parts protected from being scraped against anything. You shoved the moving device under the robot, and hoisted it back, lifting it as best you could. You tucked it's hanging limbs in so they didn't drag on the floor as you wheeled it back into Parts and Service. Whatever this thing was, it was tall. The top of it came well above the handle of the hand-truck even with it sitting down. Maybe it was a mapbot, or one of the mopbots. Not sure why one of those would need to be fixed in such a hurry though.

You wheeled the bot over to a metal rectangle on the floor, wiggling it off of the moving device. With it laid down now, you pressed down on a pedal on the floor with your foot. This raised the metal from the floor, turning it into a work table. You adjusted the height, walking over and grabbing the blanket that still covered the robot.

"Alright, let's see what we're working with." With a quick yank, you pulled off the blanket, revealing what lay beneath.

A small gasp escaped your lips as you beheld the animatronic before you. A jester themed sun with such bright yellow color, decorated with accents of red and gold. From the sunshine rays on his head, to the pointed toes on his shoes, his design captivated you, he was exquisite. You don't think you've ever seen this animatronic before, wasn't this one of the daycare attendants? You've never been upstairs to see the Superstar Daycare, but you have heard other employees talking about it. Whoever designed this bot, had an interesting take on child care.

"Okay buddy, let's find out what's wrong with you." You approached the side of the table and stood over the bot, grabbing your screwdriver from your belt. With a few twists, you had the maintenance panel open, and going with usual Fazbear set up, you pressed a button located in the animatronic's chest cavity.

A slight 'whirrr' noise came from the bot as he booted back up. The sun rays on his head spun in a circle, as his eyes lit back up, his system running through the start-up sequence. You watched as awareness came back to his features, his eyes scanning the room.

"Oh my stars," He said, raising a hand up to his face. "Where am I?" His voice was cheerful, a bit high pitched, but laced with a playful tone. It was definitely meant for soothing children. He sat up, propping himself up onto his elbows. The bells on his wrists filling the room with the sound of a slight jingle. He noticed his chest cavity was open, and tilted his head to the side.

"You're in Parts and Service," You said, giving him a small smile. "There seems to be slight issue, so I'm here to fix you. My name is (Y\N)."

He turned to you, the innocent look on his face made your smile grow wider.

"(Y\N)," He said, "OH, a new friend! I'm so glad you're here to help me! There's something terribly wrong!"
