Naruto Uzumaki
"Welcome back! Uzumaki! Uchiha!" Five people waved at us.
They were Aoi, Kanao, Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi. Ever since Sasuke and I arrived in this world, we'd stayed in the Butterfly Mansion. We just took two patient beds for ourselves and slept among other empty beds.
These five, mainly Aoi and the triplets, have been helping us so much in the Butterfly Mansion. Plus, they make good ramen! Although, I still think they can be a little too polite for my liking.
"I already told you guys to just call us by our given names, ya know." I greeted back at them.
"Ah yes, Naruto, Sasuke." Aoi replied while having her head tilted down a bit. She still seemed awkward addressing us by our given names.
"Anyway, we heard that everyone survived in this Final Selection." Naho explained.
"Is that true?"
"Yes, it is." Sasuke answered for us.
The three girls' faces lit up in joy after getting that confirmation. Even though their young, they already know the values of people's lives other than themselves. I guess that's what happens when you were orphaned at a very young age.
"Also!" Kiyo butted in with her wonderfully high-pitched voice.
"We would like to give you a gift for passing Final Selection!"
"Oh?" I sounded.
"Yes! We would like to give you a haori each! We don't have them yet, but we want you to design it on your own!"
As soon as she said that, I already had something in mind. Sasuke, though...
"I'll pass."
"Huuuhh?" All three of them questioned.
"I don't want to burden you guys too much. Besides, I already have this." He said while grabbing his cloak.
"So, you guys just make one for Naruto." He continued while smiling and giving a pat to the heads of the three girls. Their faces suddenly turned red in reaction to Sasuke's action, for some reason. Aoi, Kanao, Sasuke and I just giggled at their reactions.

Meanwhile
Third Person
"Daki and Gyutaro have been killed."
"*gasp* Aww, that's sad."
"Who killed them, Master Muzan? Could it be one of the pillars?"
"There were two people. One was a blond wearing a headband, the other was a person with longer black hair and a cloak that covers his whole body. From what I could see based on Daki and Gyutaro's memories, they aren't pillars. But somehow, their power easily exceeds any pillar I've ever seen."
'Even him.'
"If any of you five see them around, kill them. Don't even think about heavily injuring them but keeping them alive."
"Yes, Master Muzan."

"First things first, I'd like to congratulate both of you for passing the Final Selection." Master Kagaya started. The master had requested Naruto and Sasuke to have a talk with him, so here they were, back at the house where they met him and the nine pillars for the first time.
"Thank you, Master." The two replied at the same time.
"Now, from what my crow told me, every participant survived. Also, it told me that you two killed all the demons that were imprisoned in Mount Fujikasane. Is that true?"
"Well, if we didn't miss any, that is. Hehe." Naruto answered while scratching the back of his head.
"And another thing, is it true that you two were able to defeat Upper Moon Six?" He asked again.
"Ah yes, we did! We came across a demon, two actually, who had the writing 'Upper Moon Six' carved on their eyes."
"Two?" Kagaya said, confused.
"Yes, Master. Somehow this pair was able to get the Upper Moon Six spot together. From what I could tell, they were more like a demon split into two. The reason why I think this way was because to kill them, we had to behead them at the same time." Sasuke responded this time.
"I see. Well, thank you." He said while bowing.
"Wait, what? Why are you thanking us? We just did the test." Naruto was the one confused right now.
"No, you don't understand." The master lifted himself back up.
"Upper Moon Demons are extremely strong demons. They have lived for more than hundreds of years and have survived against our attempts, the demon slayers', at slaughtering them; even pillars have lost against them. The fact that you two were able to come back safe after fighting an Upper Moon is a massive achievement for all of us."
Upon hearing his words, Naruto's facial expression turned into a very bright smile. Sasuke also had a smile on his face, although much smaller. But deep down, he was just as happy because of what the master said.
"Although I must ask," Kagaya suddenly spoke again.
"How did you two come back unscathed, no major bruises or wounds, even though you fought against an Upper Moon?"
Naruto and Sasuke were desperately looking for an answer. They had agreed to keep their true identities a secret, for now anyway. So, they had to think of possibly another made-up answer to one of their master's questions. Thankfully, Naruto came in clutch, and he didn't even need to create a fake story for it.
"Like I said before, we're both avid fighters." He responded with a smile.
Kagaya could only smile back hearing Naruto's answer "I understand."
'It seems I may have to tell the pillars about this.'

Two days later
Naruto Uzumaki
"Naruto!" The sound of three girls went into my ears. I turned around and saw the only people that could have those voices: Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi.
"We finished your haori!" Sumi said while Kiyo was holding up a folded piece of clothing.
"Waah! Thank you very much!" I said with excitement.
I took the clothing from Kiyo's grasp. I unfolded it and held it in front of me. It was exactly how I'd pictured this to look.
"Wow! This is perfect! Thanks you three." I said while giving them a closed-eyes smile. As I opened my eyes, I could see their faces in a very happy mood. They were definitely proud of their work. Even though, I could also tell that they had a relieved feeling inside them. They were probably scared that I wouldn't like it.
To give a picture of the haori, it is a short-sleeved one that has a maroon primary color. At the bottom, there are flame patterns that go all around the bottom edges. The flames are purely colored black, as well. The cloth also goes down until below my knee, so it's quite long.
Still can't get a clear image? Just imagine my old haori from back when I fought Pain years ago. It is an exact copy of that.
"Wait here." I told the three.
I quickly went to the room where Sasuke and I sleep in. I took my demon slayer uniform and changed into that. Although, I did, and Sasuke too, wear the uniform a bit different than others.
We both don't have the shirt tucked into our pants because it just wasn't comfortable. Also, we don't wear the shin protectors because of our different style of footwear. To make it comfortable, we both customized our pants so that they weren't styled like loose hakama pants. Instead, they just look like regular long pants that go down until just above the ankles.
After I changed, I went back to wear those three girls were.
"How do I look?" I asked while lifting my arms up a bit, almost like doing a T-pose.
They didn't say anything, instead they just stared at me with a smile that was getting wider every second. I could also here a little gasp from them right when I came.
'I will deduce that I do look good.' I thought to myself.

Eight days later
Sasuke Uchiha
*cling* *clang*
'Hm?' I said in my head after I heard the sounds.
I was just practicing my breathing at that moment. Naruto and I were told that proper breathing techniques were the main way for demon slayer swordsmen to increase their physical attributes, whether that'd be speed, endurance, strength, etc.
We were also taught about the different types of breathing techniques. From water breathing to love breathing, they all have different techniques and different fighting styles for each. But, the main root for all these styles go back to one same concept: total concentration breathing. So here we were, trying to 'breathe the right way' without any help or assistance.
Anyway, as soon as we heard the clanging sounds, we went straight to the front gate to see who it was. There, we saw a person wearing a Hyottoko mask carrying a basket. He was also wearing a hat that had these decorations hanging from it which were making the clanging sounds.
"My name is Kanamori. I've forged the swords for Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha." He introduced himself while lifting his left hand up as a sign of greeting.
"Ah, I'm Naruto and he's Sasuke." The person beside me decided to introduce the both of us.
"Please, come in."
"Thank you." He obliged and we sat on the porch of one of the houses in the Demon Slayer HQ. Kanamori then put down his hat on the floor and set his basket down and took out two swords that were still in its scabbard.
"These nichirin swords are made from a special steel, called Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Scarlet Crimson Ore." He started explaining.
"Not only do they absorb the energy from the sun, they also have the ability to change color depending on the sword-bearer."
"Oh? We never knew that." I said to him while Naruto nodded in agreement. We were only told that it absorbed energy from the sun and were able to kill demons that way. But, we were never told about it being able to change color.
"Well then," He said while handing the two swords to each of us.
"Let's see what colors you two will get."
I let Naruto go first. He grabbed one of the swords and tried getting a feeling to it. Once he got it, he took it out of the scabbard. We all looked at the blade enthusiastically, waiting for it to change color.
The color suddenly started appearing from the bottom of the blade. It was orange. Although, only its sharp edges turned orange, the rest of its surface area turned into a darker shade of grey. But, something that makes his sword unique is the shape that appeared along with the color. A spiral shape that looked like the Uzumaki clan symbol appeared just on top of the circular sword hilt above the grey shade of the blade. The symbol had the same orange as the tint that appeared on the sharp edges of the sword.
"Uzumaki crest, huh?" I spoke.
"This looks nice! It's like a personally customized design." He said
While Naruto and I were discussing about his sword, Kanamori was just in front of us being quiet. Although, he wasn't being awkward. He was staring at Naruto's sword, seemingly in awe at it. His facial expression was very visible even with his mask on.
"Kanamori?" I called out.
"U-uh. Right, sorry. This one's yours, Lord Sasuke." He says while handing out mine.
I took it from his hands by the handle. I was about to unsheathe it when I remembered about my... disability.
"help." I whispered to Naruto. He just sighed and pulled the scabbard for me. As soon as the sword was unsheathed, its color immediately appeared, starting from the bottom all the way up to the tip.
The blade turned half-black half-purple. It was purple on the sharp half and black on the blunt half. The two colors were split in some sort of fiery pattern, so it looked like my sword had black flames on one side and purple flames on the other.
"Wow!" Naruto reacted.
"I was expecting a blue lightning sort of pattern but this is honestly way better."
"I might just replace my usual sword with this one when we go back home." I replied. I was also in awe at how nice it looked.
"Ahahaha!"
"... woah." I could just about hear the swordsmith say. I looked at the person and once again, he had a similar expression of amazement like when he saw Naruto's blade changed its color.
"Is everything okay, Kanamori?" I decided to get his attention.
"Ah! N-no, not at all. It's just... this is my first time seeing a blade change to the colors you two got, Lord Sasuke and Lord Naruto." He explained.
"Lord Sasuke's blade is very unique, I've never seen one change to a purple that dark. Nor have I seen a flame pattern to go along with it. As for Lord Naruto's, it's quite a simple change. But, I've never seen a swordsman with that spiral symbol on the sword before."
Both Naruto and I weren't too surprised with his explanation. We looked at each other and I could already tell that we were thinking of the same thing.
'I guess that's what happens when people from a wholly different world visits you.'
"KAW! KAW!" The sounds of a crow, filled our ears. It was flying in circles before it finally descended and landed at the open door.
"NARUTO UZUMAKI! SASUKE UCHIHA! GO TO A VILLAGE IN THE WEST LOCATED IN THE FORESTS! LOTS OF CHILDREN HAVE BEEN SAID TO GO MISSING! GO THERE AND DEFEAT THE DEMON RIGHT AWAY! THIS IS YOUR FIRST MISSION AS DEMON SLAYERS! KAW!"
'Our first mission... as demon slayers.' I talked in my mind.
"Well, I hope you two can finish your mission well." Kanamori told us.
"I do also hope the swords I've made for you two end up being useful."
"I'm sure it will, ya know!" Naruto answered for the two of us.
"Thank you, Kanamori." He thanked while giving him a nod.
We quickly went to our room and got changed into our uniforms. The shirt, the pants that we customized ourselves, and the belt that would hold our sword scabbards behind our backs. Naruto wore his new red haori while I continued wearing my black cloak.
Our journey as demon slayers, has officially started.
