"I almost got into trouble last night" you sighed later that day leaning against your cottage outside, sitting on the ground
"How?" Jack asked, sitting beside you
"Coming back late" you answered with a tint of blush
"Oh.."
"Yeah, if it weren't for the festival itself to use as an excuse, I would've been dead"
"At least you managed to stay alive" he joked
"Says the one who is the innocent child" you scoffed elbowing him in the side a little
"Or at least I'm the innocent type to everyone around me" he corrected
"That explains last night then" you joked back making him look over at you
"H-hey! You wanted it!" He exclaimed now extremely flustered
"Didn't mean that you had to" you commented back
"At least you enjoyed it" he scoffed rolling his eyes, looking away
"Who wouldn't? you stole my first kiss, and you're extremely good at it" you teased poking his cheek

"So you hooked up with someone?" You asked now going back to hugging your knees

"I'll just take that as a yes, you do you, no judgment" you said raising your hands a little in defeat

"But didn't you just do so last night?" You questioned aloud making him a little bit more jumpy

"Just to make this fair, I haven't hooked up with anyone either, outsides with you" You then said making him look over at you silently
"I wouldn't really count that as a hook up, we didn't even do anything to make it like that" He said softly before resting his chin on his hand that was placed on his knee
You stayed silent to that in thought before realizing what he meant

You both looked up to see Fae standing next to one of the boys in the Village also around our age, Zaiden, Zay for short
"Hey, man" Zaiden then said extending a hand towards Jack, as he stood up
"Wow, it's been a while" he said back as they, what we would now call it, a "bro hug"
"I know, I keep to myself nowadays" Zaiden then said with a little laugh
"I can tell, haven't seen you out in awhile"
"Heard a lot about you though, over here flirting it up with all these girls, no wonder you're so popular amongst us guys here" Zaiden replied throwing an arm around Jacks shoulder
"I wouldn't say that exactly.." he said nervously causing you and Fae to look over at each other silently before silently laughing as well
"Is that a hickey? Who did you hook up with?" He asked noticing the mark on Jacks shoulder
"Oh uh.."
"How far did it go? Are you still a virgin? Who did the dominating?" Zaiden then asked making Jack go flustered like crazy
"I- It didn't go that far! No one did!" He finally said extremely uncomfortable with the topic
"So you're still a virgin? Man, that sucks" Zaiden commented as he took a step back from him
"For a seventeen year old, about to turn eighteen in like what? A month? And you're still a virgin? That's sad" he continued
"Well that explains a lot about you.." Jack replied rubbing the back of his neck

"Alright boys, we can drop this topic" Fae then said aloud getting both of the boys attention
"Hey (y/n), heard about you" Zaiden said aloud after noticing you

"From this girl" he commented nodding towards Fae
"Kinda make me regret not coming to the Winter Festival, heard your outfit was better than everyone else's combined"
"Oh, yeah.. I guess" you laughed nervously when Jack got beside you
"So, what brings you two around here? Considering that we're literally behind the cottages" you asked changing the subject
"I was originally looking for you until I finally ran into this Dork, then we just started walking. catching up until he spotted this second Dingus" Fae answered before nodding towards Jack
"Rude" Jack commented
"Not lying" Fae scoffed jokingly crossing her arms
"Wanna see about that?" He then said playfully when Fae took a step closer to him
"You wanna bet it?" She asked towards him, leaning in his direction
"Okay you two lovebirds, the quarrel can wait until later" Zaiden said aloud pushing them both back as they just stood there in thought before both turning to face Zaiden
"We are not lovebirds!" They both shouted in unison
"Sure you two aren't" Zaiden said before rolling his eyes making Jack and Fae look at each other silently before both looking away as Fae just crossed her arms silently
"How many subject changes will we need today?" You finally said aloud getting all of their attention
"Too many to count" Fae answered
"You three can have fun with those subject changes, I have to go" Jack then said
"What? Why?" You asked
"Mary wants to go ice skating at the lake today, I promise to take her before I have to do more work again" he answered with a little shrug
"Oh.. Well have fun"
"We will" he said before he leaned towards you, as he whispered
"I love you" And with that, he walked off
