Factions were on the rise ever since the fall of their capital city, London.

They rose up in arms, rebelling against their monarchs.

Among all those factions stood greatly, its name spread throughout the isle.

Banners and flags wavered, their numbers were increasing.

They stole armoured vehicles from garages of military camps.

Their power was significantly boasting. But can they be able to harass the Martians and try to force the Royal Navy to join them?

-English Naval Dockyard-

All of the ships docked were all gone.

But, that's because they turned into cubes.

They couldn't risk being caught, showing any sign of ships they have in their dockyard.

Their commander announced this as she was too cautious.

"All personnel is to hide your ships just in case of another encounter of them!"

"I've heard one of my marines have noticed those aliens have known of our ships."

"We can't let them know this is a dockyard."

"We also are sending an expedition made of marines to a crash landing of their vessel."

"May God save the King!" shouted the speakers.

Everyone in the dockyard heard this, radio and speaker.

A girl was walking in the hallways, it was a bit empty.

Benches, pots of plants, windows, and ceiling lights.

She was walking to the cafeteria, it was packed.

A lot of chattering, and footsteps.

She head over to her usual spot and sat.

She didn't even get a tray along with food.

Only sat and stare at the crowd.

One of the girls in the nearly packed cafeteria noticed this and went over.

Polyphemus heard murmurs but didn't mind about it.

Thinking of the seat beside her.

That was until the sound of the murmur came from shook her with a hand.

HMS Polyphemus: "Huh?!" she stood up in shock.

Unknown: "Sorry if I disturbed what you were doing."

HMS Polyphemus: "It's fine, what do you want?"

Unknown: "I came over to see what you're doing. You're just sitting here looking at nothing."

Only silence was up for 5 seconds.

Unknown: "Are you procrastinating or something?"

HMS Polyphemus: "Oh yes, sorry... I've been thinking of my sister."

Unknown: "Oh, you're Polyphemus are you?"

HMS Polyphemus: "How do you know?"

Unknown: "You guys are the only one that has siblings."

HMS Polyphemus: "Oh really?"

Unknown: "Yes really."

HMS Polyphemus: "Wait who ar- Oh! Formidable! I was not expecting you to talk to me."

HMS Formidable: "Should've looked your back while I was talking with you."

HMS Polyphemus: "Sorry about that..."

HMS Formidable: "It's alright. Mind if I seat with you?"

HMS Polyphemus: "I don't mind."

HMS Formidable: "Thank you, I've heard your sister was sent to Harwich for inspection?"

HMS Polyphemus: "How do you know and what place they were going?"

HMS Formidable: "May have wiretapped into your radios."

HMS Polyphemus: "Seriously?"

HMS Formidable: "Seriously."

Polyphemus sighed.

HMS Polyphemus: "Isn't that wrong?"

HMS Formidable: "Not if I was ordered by the commander."

HMS Polyphemus: "Wait what? She did?"

HMS Formidable: "Yes, she did. She pondered on what you guys are doing."

HMS Polyphemus: "So she told you to intrude on our conversations?"

HMS Formidable: "Correct, and at this time she should be hearing this too."

HMS Polyphemus: 'What do you mean?"

HMS Formidable: "She wiretapped our radios just like what I did with you."

HMS Polyphemus: "Huh?!"

HMS Formidable: "She's been watching over you since the "disappearance" with your sister."

"Formidable! What are you doing?" asked Formidable's radio.

HMS Formidable: "Merely being honest, commander."

Polyphemus heard a sigh on her radio.

"Right, hold on." It went static and now she heard the commander's voice on her radio.

"Polyphemus, we need to discuss something privately at my office." requested the radio.

HMS Polyphemus: "I-Is this important?"

"It is." replied the radio.

-Somewhere at Hastings-

An armed crowd quite disciplined were looking up to a podium with what seemed to be a high-ranking official of that group.

He was creating speeches about their new faction.

The Inedia of Britain's Renaissance

That they would come up on top.

One of his speeches was cut short after he was shot directly at his head.

He dropped dead and some of the crowd dispersed while the loyal men that listened were looking for the one who murdered him.

That was until loud bangs were heard behind them.

Gunshots.

A gunfight ensued outside in the streets. The civilians inside their homes were taking cover and hoping they wouldn't target them.

The fierce battle was a bloodbath for the Inedia of Britain's Renaissance.

There were no polices in the streets as they fled, joining either both groups or defending the citizens at home.

There were barely explosives but boilers of houses blew from the shots it took.

After 3 hours, the faction of Inedia surrendered and was absorbed into the faction of

Arteries' Vital of Steeds

ILLUSTRIOUS' PLANE POV

The planes sent by Illustrious were scouting the battle, only mist is what could be found.

But, once the planes got closer. There were parts of a wreckage tripod.

2 green eyes, its body were all painted white.

They were tall! But, they're sunk and only bits of them were showing.

They were still intact from the battle they've been conflicted on.

One was blown into bits, only its leg remains.

One appears to have fallen on its back, half of it was submerged.

One was hit with a mast, directly on its head.

Illustrious was all-seeing this. It was terrifying to finally see these aliens the people were talking about.

But, the mast she saw on the tripod made her curious, was it the mast of Thunder Child? she thought.

THE THREE ARMED SHIPS POV

HMS Hood: "Anything?"

HMS Illustrious: "..."

HMS Hood: "Illustrious?"

HMS Illustrious: "Oh right! Uhm, yeah."

HMS Hood: "So, what happened over there?"

HMS Illustrious: "Well, I see tripods, what the captain said. A tripod but it has 2 green eyes and really tall!."

HMS Hood: "Tripods? Couldn't they make them have tracks or wheels?"

HMS Illustrious: "If they do have wheels or tracks they'd sink."

HMS Hood: "You're right, but why not make ships like us?"

HMS Illustrious: "I don't know and I don't think like them."

HMS Neptune: "Though, they're kind of smart. They can be able to move on water."

HMS Hood: "Quite expensive and Illustrious, How many are there?"

HMS Illustrious: "There are about 3 of them down."

HMS Hood: "Three?!"

HMS Illustrious: "Yes three Miss Hood."

HMS Hood: "Good lord."

HMS Illustrious: "Wait! Something's happening!"

BACK TO PLANE POV

The planes were circling around the wreckage.

Till one of them was hit by a line of orange heat.

They broke formations and find what hit them.

In the foggy skies, one of the planes could see a green visor, actually green visors! There were two.

The planes were like a hivemind, once one spotted an enemy the rest of them would follow suit.

But, they were too fast, zooming past right them.

They try to match up to its speed but they couldn't.

If they managed to get their range of view on them they would simply instantly move.

BACK TO THE THREE ARMED SHIPS POV

HMS Hood: "What's happened?"

HMS Illustrious: "Aliens happened."

HMS Hood: "Huh? Oh right. I keep forgetting they were real."

HMS Neptune: "Keep doing that and you'll keep forgetting that they're real."

HMS Hood: "Rude."

HMS Illustrious: "The captains were right, they're flying and almost the size of our planes."

HMS Hood: "These things destroyed London?"

HMS Illustrious: "But, they're more different. They appear to shoot glowing beams."

HMS Neptune: "Beams?"

HMS Illustrious: "Like lasers."

HMS Hood: "Lasers!? Not like our shells or anything?"

HMS Illustrious: "Unfortunately no. It feels like a war we won't win."

HMS Neptune: "Wait we declared war on them?"

HMS Illustrious: "Perhaps."

-Arteries' Vital of Steeds-

The faction Arteries' Vital of Steeds was mostly everywhere in England, but not in Wales and Scotland. They had their own big factions.

But, Arteries' Vital of Steeds had planes. They've stolen them from hangars of RAF airfields.

They've created airstrips for their planes. Spitfires, Hurricanes, and others more.

The highways were lazily made long and because of it, it was bumpy for the pilots.

There are no modifications on the planes, there was only paint of the planes nothing more.

They sent out a single Supermarine Spitfire to scout a Naval Dockyard they found at the south of their newly "conquered" territory.

-Red Weed Vessel at Addlestone, Marines POV-

The marines were sent to Addlestone to search about these alien technology they rain down on Earth.

They march and marched till the land they were walking on was cut to strange red grass.

It felt organic, slowly infecting other plants and buildings.

Marine 1: "Christ Ol'mighty, the hell with these things. They're sticking onto my boots."

Marine 3: "You're not the only one Johnston."

Marine 2: "Shut your bickering. We're not the only one here."

Johnston: "Really? Last time I checked there was only red lawn."

Marine 3: "You really have to stop. We're in the middle of a crisis."

Johnston: "Come on Denvier, we gotta keep our hopes up. Morales keeping us alive."

Marine 2:" He's right but, in these kinds of situations where we're no longer fighting with ourselves. But aliens! They're not like us."

Denvier: "Aye sir."

Marine 2: "Halt lads, I see where it's originating from."

Johnston: "You do?"

Marine 2: "I do, see that oval thing? That's it."

Denvier: "You got an eagle eye, sir."

Marine 2: "Enough with the compliments, we can save that up at the Dockyard."

Johnston: "Wait, it's not just that vessel. There's also some kind of turret it seems."

Marine 2: "Denvier, Mind if you give me my binoculars from my back?"

Denvier: "Yes, sir."

Denvier took out the binoculars from his back and gave them to him.

Marine 2: "Thanks."

Johnston: "You know, this feels like a marsh."

Denvier: "You've been one before?"

Johnston: "Yeah, it was hell. All we did was sit around the mud for training."

Denvier: "Thank god for not sending me over there."

Marine 2: "You're right, it's stationary and its top was rotating around."

Denvier: "Damn Johnston, you got some good eyes as well."

Johnston: "Cheers mate."

Marine 2: "Ye guys wanna keep on goin' far?"

Denvier: "For what? weren't we supposed to go here on what came out from that device of theirs?"

Johnston: "Denvier is right, as much as I like to disagree with him every time we do some kind of agreement. I'd have to go with Denvier here."

Denvier: "Wait hold on, you're purposely opposing me every time?

Johnston: "I can't help it." He chuckled.

Marine 2: "Boys, hide."

Denvier: "Why is that sir?"

Marine 2: "Something's coming in our direction. Now hurry!"

They hid in the structures, some of the places were covered with Red Weed.

Johnston: "Jeez, they really painted the whole place with red huh?"

Marine 2: "You guys wanna radio this all in?"

Denvier: "Sounds like a good idea, sir."

Johnston: "To be honest, I would like to say this at the Dockyard instead."

Marine 2: "And what if we didn't make it?"

Johnston: "What makes you say that?"

Denvier: "Oh hell! That's because the turret heard you, Johnston!"

Johnston: "Devices can't hear things!"

Denvier: "Tell that to the radio, you shmuck!"

Marine 2: "Just run!"

The turret fired at them with a powerful ray of heat.

The structures with the Red Weed light ablaze.

Johnston: "Jesus Christ! What kind of technology is that?"

Denvier: "Quit talkin'! Keep retreating back to base!"

They ran back to where they came from, broken structures, infected fields, and to the green grasslands.

They missed the green sparse plain, it was weird for them to see things that are out of place.

They're nearly back to the Dockyard.

-English Naval Dockyard-

It was nighttime, there were only darkened-filled skies.

As two girls were walking on their way to the Commander's office.

They heard a plane up in the sky, rotors rotating.

It was a Spitfire! Judging by the sounds.

With no mistakes, it really was a Spitfire. Though, it doesn't look the same.

The paint on it was different, it also has a catchphrase written on both sides and tails.

"The Vitals of Steel!"

Spotlights on the Dockyard detected the Spitfire that came from nowhere.

Arteries' Vital of Steeds Spitfire POV

Unknown Pilot: "Huh, so the Royal Navy's still here. Might as well get back to the Airstri-"

The radio on the Spitfire began talking.

Unknown Pilot: "The hell?"

Radio: "Unknown aircraft, you are currently trespassing Royal Navy territory! What are your intentions?"

Unknown Pilot: "You guys are still alive? After all these things?"

Radio: "Things? What do you mean?"

Unknown Pilot: "Haven't you heard? London has fallen! Meaning you guys should've fallen too!"

Radio: "Who told you the Royal Navy fell?"

Unknown Pilot: "Just wait till you guys soon join the glorious faction of Arteries' Vitals of Steeds after the Martians attack your little dockyard!"

Radio: "Arteries' Vitals of Steeds? What kind of shenanigans is this?"

Unknown Pilot: "Just wait and see! Let time consume its time! You'll soon lear-

Radio: "All AA Guns fire!"

Unknown Pilot: "Huh?"

Shells light up the skies targeting the only aircraft up there.

The Spitfire turned and kept maneuvering and the searchlights kept the pressure on as the AA guns knew where it was.

Unknown Pilot: "Oh good lord!"

That was until RAF Spitfires came into play.

Unknown Pilot: "Wait what? The RAF? I thought they were gone!"

Radio: "Just because London fell doesn't mean all the branches of the British Empire fell."

Unknown Pilot: "T-This is- Goddamn!"

Unknown Pilot: "Fine! I surrender!"

Radio: "..."

Unknown Pilot: "Hello? I don't wanna die out here!" He shouted at the radio.

The searchlights shut off and the AA Guns stopped and the Spitfires behind him also stopped firing but were tailing him."

Radio: "Land your plane down to the RAF airfield we have around here."

Unknown Pilot: "W-What about those planes behind me?"

Radio: "They're only here to check an eye on you just in case if you defy my orders."

Unknown Pilot: "But! I'm not a part of you though! Isn't that unfair?"

Radio: "Doesn't matter. We'll be interrogating about where you got that plane and that faction you're talking about."

Polyphemus and Formidable POV

HMS Formidable: "What a conundrum."

HMS Polyphemus: "What happened?"

HMS Formidable: "The Spitfire we saw? Surrendered."

HMS Polyphemus: "Already? Without a fight at all?"

HMS Formidable: "Not at all."

HMS Polyphemus: "Embarrassing to be that pilot. So, do we keep moving?"

HMS Formidable: "Yeah, that whole Spitfire thing wasn't a big deal. Let's keep moving."

HMS Polyphemus: "Alright..."

____________________________________________________________

The people of Arteries' Vital of Steeds were wondering where their Spitfire of theirs went?

"Did he betray us?"

"Did he get shot down?"

"Did the plane malfunction and crashed?"

Questions were left unanswered.

But, one thing is certain. The Royal Navy is still alive!

A/N: The final part was kind of quirky, to say the least. But, it was probably because I got tired. Most of the time publishing my chapters are always around 1-4 AM. Anyways see ya later lads. -Crusader
