─── LONG AS FUCK (7000 words)

like my dick🌝

THE NEXT DAY:

Loud cheers fill the stadium where citizens were cramped into aisles of seats, eager to watch the game taking place on the lone court before them. Not a single seat was free as your friends and family take their spots in the front row on the side of the court.

"There's too many people here." Kenma mutters as he was cramped in between Kuroo and Akaashi.

Your boyfriend hums a reply, his turquoise eyes scanning the vast area. A large screen sat above a bench where the commentators were getting set up, speakers on either side of them. The screen above them displayed the two team's names, Vorpal Swords and Jabberwock.

Spotlights stationed on the roof spun around, shining down on the court and the crowd surrounding it. A large screen stood above the middle of the court, one screen covering each of its four sides.

"This is ridiculous." Suna mutters from the other side of Akaashi.

Yes, your friends were watching with your dad and brothers. The seating arrangement being: Bokuto, Kuroo, Kenma, Akaashi, and Suna on one aisle and then Atsumu, Osamu, Aran, Akira, and ( D/n ) and Ukai in the row in front of them.

"Well, they did insult everyone in Japan who plays basketball on tv without knowing there was a team full of prodigies. So, it's not a surprise." ( D/n ) shrugs, his arm draped over the back of Ukai's seat.

"Fair point." Atsumu sighs, slurping on the drink he bought earlier. Then, a male voice fills the room from the commentator's desk.

"It's been a week since Japan's defeat at the hands of Jabberwock." They say.

"Talk about dramatic." Akira chuckles, his eyes finding two flags flying above the court. One was dark green, Jabberwock written on it. Then, the one beside it was red, Vorpal Swords written in all caps in the middle before running vertically along the sides.

"A dream team of high school students have been formed!" The commentator announces as Kagami's full name, position, and face flashes on the square like screen in the middle of the court and the screen above the commentator's desk.

Akashi's smiling face shortly followed Kagami's, then Kise's and Aomine's before it came to Murasakibara, Midorima and Kuroko.

Oh, and of course you.

Bokuto, Kuroo, Kenma, Akira and Akaashi throw their arms in the air and cheer loudly when your name was shown on the screen. An image was shown of you frowning at the camera from over your shoulder. Your unique undercut design was on full display to the crowd as you were in a black high collared jacket, COACH written on the back of it.

"Named after the sword used to defeat the Jabberwock monster in Alice Through the Looking-Glass, their name is Vorpal Swords!" The commentator introduces your team as the images of your friends flash on and off the screen.

Strolling out the side entrance of the gymnasium, the bright lights shine onto you and your friends, forcing you to squint as you didn't wish to go blind.

Cheers erupt from the crowd upon seeing you and your friends.

"Oh my god, it's ( L/n )-sama!" A girl from the crowd squeals, shaking her friend's shoulders.

Aomine scoffs when he hears this and sees your smug smirk.

With your hands in your pockets, you and Kagetora lead your team to the side of the court - opposite to where your family was sitting - to set up and get ready.

The members of Jabberwock give you venomous side glances from where their seats were, beside your own.

You only stick your tongue at Silver and send him the thumbs down, your wide and taunting eyes soaked with pure arrogance.

He only scowls at your expression while Nash smirks.

"What an interesting girl." Nash chuckles.

"Someone got a lil crush, huh?" Nick sneers at the captain who scoffs.

"Hell nah. She's just hot."

Using his special hearing skills, Akaashi snaps his head in their direction, mentally throwing knives and grenades at them. Seeing his intimidating stare, Suna and Kenma scoot away from him.

"There's a lot of familiar faces here." Akira mumbles.

"Really?" Osamu and Atsumu blink in sync, Aran secretly listening and his eyes following Akira's rising hand.

"Up over there, that's team Seirin, Riko-chan, Kagami-kun, and Tetsuya-kun's team." Akira tells them before his finger drifts around the crowd.

"Yosen's Tatsuya-kun and Wei Liu. Over there is a couple of dudes from Kaijo and Rakuzan and OH MY GOD!" Akira suddenly shouts the last three words, his jaw going slack.

"What's the matter?" ( D/n ) asks the male whose eyes were wider than a frying pan.

"Is that Hana-fucking-miya?!" Akira blurts out upon seeing a group of troublesome boys.

"Oh god, it is. What the hell is he doing here?" Kuroo asks, leaning forward on his spread thighs. Most shrug while ( D/n ) sighs.

"Not gonna lie, I think he has the hots for my daughter. He's probably hoping he'll get to see her in action." ( D/n ) sighs before turning to a pale Akaashi.

"Don't worry! You've got her wrapped around your finger. You'll be fine!" ( D/n ) laughs, slapping his shoulder playfully.

Your boyfriend only felt the colour draining from his face, leaving him like a sheet of A3 paper.

Suddenly the lights go out, leaving the twirling spotlights to light up the court. They spin around it before halting on the ten males that stood across from each other on the court, ready to play.

Aomine, Akashi, Midorima, Murasakibara, and Kise stood tall in the center of the court.

You lean back in your chair, arms and legs crossed. You wore a tense frown, eyes watching your friends stand before Jabberwock's towering and intimidating figures.

Riko and Momoi sat to one side of you, Kagetora on the other. Momoi's nails anxiously tapped her clipboard while Riko nibbled on her lower lip. You and Kagetora only silently watched the boys take their places on the court, leaving Murasakibara and Silver in the middle with the referee.

"It's time... for the tip off!" The commentator declares.

The ref blows the whistle and tosses the ball in the air, shattering the tense atmosphere that had made itself comfortable.

Murasakibara reaches up in the air with one arm, Silver doing the same. However, the dark-skinned male was taken by surprise when Murasakiabra got ahold of the ball and passed it to Akashi.

Your team rushes forward, ready to support the former captain who casually dribbles the ball between his legs. He quickly steps around Zack to be met with both Nick and Nash, forcing him to pass.

With his back to Nash, he tosses the ball in the air towards the hoop. From the sidelines, you watch Aomine jump and catch the ball midair with his right hand before passing it to his right from under his right leg and slamming it into the hoop.

A grin finds its way to your lips when you see the shocked look on Silver's face and how Nash frowns.

"I don't understand English, idiot. I doubt you understand me too. So, I'll make you understand through my play." You hear Aomine say as he walks past Silver.

In the next play, Nick dribbled the ball and jumped back to shoot, only for Kise's fingers to brush against the ball, throwing it off course.

Akashi catches the ball and passes it to Aomine who swiftly dodges his opponents, making his way down the court.

He's fast. It's hard to believe he's Asian. Allen thinks as he watches Aomine stop in front of Zack.

( nah because when this scene came on, I was FLABBERGASTED. I had to pause for a second )

"You aren't the only ones who grew up on streetball." Aomine tells him, bouncing the ball by his side. Crossing the ball behind him a few times, Aomine stares into his eyes before suddenly tapping it to the side.

"Huh?" Zack thinks aloud, eyes stuck to the ball. While he was distracted, Aomine zooms past him, retaking the ball and jumping up to the hoop. He slams it in, his back to the hoop and arms above his head.

"Show off." Kagami scoffs from beside Kuroko on the bench.

"Dad." Riko calls to the man beside you.

"Mm, can't complain about that opening." Kagetora grins.

From the end of the court, Nick passes the ball to Nash who approaches Akashi with an irritated expression.

"Damn monkeys." Nash mutters as he begins to skillfully dribble the ball between, behind or in front of his legs. Akashi's irises snap in the direction of the ball, his eyes wide.

So, of course, when Nash couldn't get rid of Akashi, he passes the ball to Zack. The dark-skinned male leaps up into the air as he was next to the hoop, behind Murasakibara.

"Too sloppy! Time to die!" Zack chuckles, arm raised to dunk the ball in.

"What a loser." You yawn into your hand after shaking your head.

Murasakibara's eyes snap at him before he leaps so he soars above him.

"You're the sloppy one!" Murasakibara scoffs as he slaps the ball out of his hand and straight to Midorima who retreats into the far corner.

"Huh? What's he doing all the way out there?" Nick chuckles arrogantly, he and Allen watching the green-haired boy raise the ball in the air.

"Fools." Mirodima nonchalantly sighs. He bends his knees, lowering his centre of gravity to prepare himself to jump.

"Today's luckiest sign today is Cancer and I've got my lucky item, too." Midorima tells them, releasing the ball. His lucky charm, a tv remote, sat on his empty chair next to Takao.

Everyone in the room watches the ball soar over the court, eyes wide.

Then, it softly passes through the hoop, leaving nothing but a few thumps as it hits the ground.

"No way I'd miss even a single shot." Midorima resists the urge to grin as the lights reflect off his glasses when he raises his head.

Cheers fill the air as the buzzer goes off, signalling the end of the first quarter. The screen in the center of the court shows the scores.

Vorpal Swords - Jabberwock
20 - 08

"First quarter is over! Vorpal Swords is in the lead!" The commentator says as you and your friends rise to your feet to congratulate the males coming off the court.

"They're amazing." Nakamura mumbles, wide eyes watching Midorima push his glasses up. Kurihara nods and smirks, as does Takao.

Surprisingly, Takao had managed to become good friends with both of your students, bringing a bit of chaos to their lives.

"Good job." You grin at Aomine as you hand him a drink bottle. He nods his head before throwing it back and chugging most of the water.

That brought a worried frown to your lips.

It seemed like you weren't the only one concerned.

Riko turns to Kagetora with a concerned expression. He hums and nods his head as Momoi turns to you.

"I haven't seen them this exhausted after one quarter before." Momoi whispers up to you. You hum and nod your head, agreeing as you study how their chests rise and fall erratically.

"If this wasn't our team, I'm not sure we would've been able to keep them in check." Kise sighs as he rubs the sweat off his forehead.

"Yeah. This is awesome. They're perfect opponents." Aomine smirks. A short silence surrounds you all. Akashi and Midorima give him silently agreeing glances while the subs, Kagami and Kuroko grin at his excited face.

You just smile. It's been a while since you've seen him this worked up.

That was until you and Kuroko turn to Murasakibara upon hearing him release an annoyed sigh.

"I'm telling you..." He mumbles before letting out a deep breath. Your eyes widen, as does Kuroko's, while he wipes the back of his neck.

"I'm surprised. They're better than I expected." Nick sighs from Jabberwock's side.

"I didn't realise such players existed in Japan." Another male says while Nash lowers the towel from his mouth. His green irises travel around your group before landing on your own figure.

His eyes narrow at the word "coach" on the back of your jersey.

"So, she's the coach." He thinks to himself, not going unheard by the two males beside him. They follow his gaze, eyes widening and eyebrows rising.

"Huh, guess so. That's a surprise." Allen mutters against his drink bottle. Another male hums.

Sensing eyes on the back of your head, you turn to find Nash. He winks, watching your emotionless face scrunch up into an unimpressed expression.

You then raise your chin and open your mouth, allowing your tongue to roll and hang out past your lower lip. Your grey eyes widen rudely, upper lip curling upwards in a mocking manner.

The members of Jabberwock feel their faces drop at the look on yours.

Turning your head, you show Kuroko your victorious smile.

"You need to stop taunting the opponents, ( N/n )." He sighs, watching you freeze.

"No, I don't."

"Still though, they aren't bad.... for monkeys." Nash sighs, dismissing the recent interaction that Kenma and your dad had recorded from the crowd.

"Right, Silver?" Nash turns to the male who was shooting water into his mouth with a smirk.

"Yeah. I guess it's time to show them just how stronger we are." Silver's smirk grows as he squeezes the drink bottle, causing it to let out a crunch when he crushes it in his hand.

"The second quarter begins! Go Vorpal Swords!" The commentator cheers as the buzzer rings out.

"Go kick ass, boys." You grin, lowering your arm to slap Kise's rear end. The blonde jolts and covers his bottom as he shoots you a pout from over his shoulder. You only give him a wink and thumbs up.

As soon as the buzzer goes off, Aomine - who was meant to be marking Allen - follows Allen towards Murasakibara. Using a screen against the purple-haired teenager, Allen gives Silver a chance to get away from him and get the ball.

But, now he was stuck with Aomine.

"A one one one with Aomine?" You hear Kagami think aloud.

"Glad to see your eyes are working." You yawn into your hand, irking the redhead.

"Do you hate me or something?" Kagami asks, ignoring the anxious looks coming from Momoi and Riko.

"Huh? No. You're just fun to annoy."

"HUH?"

You silence him when you see Silver dash past Aomine by raising a hand, telling him to stop. His mouth snaps shut at the sight of Aomine chasing after the taller male.

"Impossible." Kurihara whispers under his breath, his brown eyes wide.

"He passed Aomine-kun?" Nakamura gasps into his hand, his fingers trapped in between his teeth.

"You!" Murasakibara grumbles, whipping his head in Silver's direction.

Murasakibara jumps in the air and plants a hand on the ball, trying to push it away from the hoop.

You frown and shake your head. Your elbows dig into your spreading thighs, lips pressing into a thin line and resting against your clasped hands.

"Fuck." You whisper, watching Silver push the ball past Murasakiabara's grip and slamming the ball into the hoop.

Everyone's eyes were wide and lips were parted as Murasakiabra falls onto his bottom and the buzzer goes off.

"Atsushi got overpowered?" ( D/n ) gasps.

"No way." Akira whispers, face full of disbelief.

"Hey, I put in a little effort and this is the result I get?" Silver sighs, his back to your friends.

"Man, monkeys are just too weak, aren't they? I'll have to be careful not to injure one of you." He sneers, turning to give them a sickening smirk.

"Is monkey seriously all they can come up with?" Suna sighs, disappointed with their insults.

"For real. It's pretty lame." Aran says, earning some agreeing hums from your friends while Silver walks away laughing.

Kise dribbles down the court before passing to Akashi who was unfortunately blocked by Silver. You weren't even given a chance to be shocked as Nash throws the ball down the lone court, leaving Silver to chase after it, Kise and Midorima hot on his tail.

"Oi, what the hell is he doing?" Takao mutters, watching how Midorima and Kise failed to keep up with him.

"Is that your full speed? Fine then." Silver smirks, sparing the duo a glance from over his shoulder.

"Just stand there and watch this!" Silver bellows as he leaps from the free throw line.

"The free-throw line?!" Hyuga exclaims, glasses slipping down his nose a little.

"That's not all though." Nakamura mumbles, face paling.

With wide eyes, you watch Silver rotate the ball in a circle in front of him before slamming the ball into the hoop. He swings on the hoop for a second before landing on the ground with a loud thump.

"A double-handed windmill dunk?!" Kurihara and Kagami shout with wide eyes.

"What the fuck? Who are his parents?" Ukai blurts out, his face pale and shocked.

"Did you see that, monkeys? That's something you'll never be able to achieve in your whole life!" Silver shouts to the crowd with outspread arms.

"There's such a difference in skill and no amount of effort will be able to amount to that!" He finishes.

Your eyes narrow at him, fists clenching around the fabric of your pants. Nakamura and Kurihara see this, grim frowns taking place on their faces.

Then, a memory takes place in Nakamura's head, causing his eyes to widen to new lengths.

"( N/n )... isn't that what you were tr-"

"Uncle." You unintentionally interrupt your friend, turning to Kagetora who nods his head. You turn to Kagami and nod your head.

- ☹︎ -

The next few plays consisted of Silver being a pain in the ass.

First, he had successfully blocked Kise's shot and proceeded to shoot past Murasakibara. Secondly, he blocked Midorima, then blocked Akashi before blocking Kise again.

With the scores at 24-33 to Jabberwock, you launch to your feet and call a time out.

"This isn't good. They're beginning to show their true colours." You sigh, handing the drink bottles around.

"Murasakibara, are you okay?" Kuroko asks the pouting giant. You offer a container of honey-soaked lemons, watching his eyes light up a tad.

"Huh? I'm totally fine." He scoffs, chewing on the lemon as he talks.

"But, he sure pisses me off. I'm gonna crush him no matter what." Murasakibara grumbles, a tick mark on the side of his face.

"Just don't knock him over like ( Y/n )-cchi did." Kise grins when you shrug and Momoi's jaw drops.

"You did what?!" Momoi, Riko, Nakamura and Kurihara blurt out in sync, staring at you like you were a mad man.

"I only kicked his feet out from under him and then kneed his balls. It's nothing bad." You shrug again.

"His balls?!" Kurihara shrieks, his knees snapping together defensively.

"Anyways, the five of you have good balance, but we lack the horsepower to stop Silver." Kagetora ignores you and your friends as he speaks to the GOM.

"We're changing the lineup." He says before turning back to you.

"Seijuro, Shintaro, you're out. Tetsuya, Taiga, you're in." You speak to the first years, watching their eyes widen.

"Since when did you call me by my first name?" Kagami asks.

"Shut up. It doesn't matter."

"So rude!"

"Hold up, that means...." Murasakibara begins, rising to his feet with angry eyes.

"You're sharp, huh? That's why we're sending in Kagami to strengthen our inside." Kagetora grins.

"Ryota, you'll be moving the ball in Seijuro's place. You're dexterous enough to handle it." You chime in, watching Kise give you a nod.

"That's not what I meant! I can handle him myself." Murasakibara cuts in, glaring down at your uncle.

"Murasakibara, listen to the coaches." Akashi stands up.

"You can't win by yourself."

"Huh?" Murasakibara's eyes were wide as he stares down at him.

"It's not your turn yet." Akashi says.

"You should be able to trust the decision made by our only coach, your best friend. Not to mention, you should know what's more important between the victory of one, and victory of the team."Akashi finishes, leaving the group to sink into a deep silence.

"Sorry, ( N/n )-chin." Murasakibara sighs, scratching the back of his head.

"You better be." You playfully scold him with a grin, earning one from him too.

And just like that, the timeout was over.

The first play began with Allen and Zack mocking Kuroko for his lack of presence while Murasakibara did his best to stop Silver from scoring when he had the ball.

Unfortunately, Silver realised that Murasakibara was using his full strength to push him back shortly after thinking his power increased. That's why he was able to get past him.

Well, that was before Kagami and Aomine greeted him, slapping the ball from his grasp.

Murasakibara then tossed the ball to an empty spot on the court, causing Kise to run to the hoop.

"What's this? No one's here." Nick scoffs. But, from a distance, Nash's eyes widen when Kuroko comes into his line of sight.

"Time for our counterattack!" Kuroko exclaims, slamming the palm of his hand against the ball and shooting it towards Kise with a ray of blue light.

Nash appears before Kise, causing him to stop and dribble the ball at his side. Glancing behind him, the blonde finds Aomine sprinting towards him, Allen right behind.

Silver, however, stayed stationed at the hoops, eyes on the ground.

"What a sulk." You snicker while Nash scoffs.

"It's two on two!" Someone from the crowd exclaims as Aomine and Allen joins the scene. However, Kise bounce passes the ball to his right when Aomine was at his left, causing confusion.

"No, it's three on two!" The third person - Kagami - announces as he grabs the ball.

Leaping into the air, he dunks it into the hoop with one hand.

"Nice!" Nakamura and Takao cheer.

"That was a really good play." Momoi smiles when you nod your head, agreeing.

"Oi, Kise. Why'd you pass to him?" A frustrated Aomine asks, pointing at Kagami.

"You were being marked!" Kise defends himself while Kagami felt a tick mark slap his forehead.

"You've got a problem with me scoring?" Kagami snaps.

"Of course I have!"

"Huh?!"

"Oh, come on!" Kise exclaims, not knowing you and Kuroko were both watching them with small smiles.

"Shut up." Aomine mutters, slapping a hand over the blonde's face and pushing him back.

While that was happening, Allen was approaching Silver.

"Silver. I get that you're shocked but you gotta get back on defense. You would've made it in time." Allen tells the tall male who faced away from him.

"Huh?" Silver asks as he turns his head. The vein at the side of his head pulsed against his dark skin, grey eyes darkening as they widen. Allen and Nick freeze under his angry glare, a shadow covering most of his fierce features.

"Just give me the ball. I'm going to crush them." Silver grumbles lowly, eyebrows knitting together as he returns his glare to the wooden floor.

- ☹︎ -

You gape as you watch Murasakibra and Kagami press against Silver.

"Well, this is something you don't see every day." You mutter to Riko who slowly nods her head.

As if telepathically communicating, you both whip out your phones and snap several pictures.

"Yuck, I hate cooperating with this guy." Murasakibara whines, holding Silver still.

"I'm only doing this in order to win and cause ( N/n )-chin said I had to, okay?" Muraskaibara now talks to Kagami who had so many red tick marks on his body you'd think he had chickenpox.

"Can you just shut up and cooperate?" Kagami shouts. Silver curses under his breath as he wasn't able to move back against the duo, frustration coursing through his boiling veins.

"Give me the ball, Silver. I'm open." One of his teammates say.

"What? You think this is enough to stop me? I don't need your help!" Silver yells, turning around and forcing his way around the two first years.

Lmao, Aomine popped outta nowhere.

You grin, watching Aomine take the ball out of his hand with little to no effort. He dribbles forward until he was met with two opponents.

"Aomine-kun!" A voice calls out to him from behind, bringing a frown to his face. I was gonna blast through both of them, but fine. He thinks with a sigh before tossing it to the side.

"Whoops." Kuroko murmurs when he struggles to catch the high pass. However, it helped him easily gain the momentum that was needed for his pass.

Spinning on his feet, the blue-haired boy throws the ball down the court and directly into Kise's hand.

"Nice pass, Kurokocchi!" Kise praises before dunking the ball in with a smirk.

"Your passes are really sloppy, Aomine-kun. I'm shocked actually." Kuroko says as he, Aomine, Murasakiabra and Kagami back onto defense.

"What? But we scored, didn't we?" Aomine jolts at his bluntness.

"No, that was thanks to Kuroko." Kagami joins in from the other side of Murasakibara.

"You suck, Mine-chin." Murasakibara says.

"Shut up!"

"How am I not getting any props for my sweet dunk?" Kise cries, crocodile tears in his eyes.

Watching from your seat with a calm smile, you hear the announcer declare half time, bringing the teams to the sidelines.

With his eyes ablaze and blood boiling, Silver kicks one of the chairs, knocking them over.

"Damn monkeys. I'll make them pay in the second half." Silver grumbles as he breathes heavily.

"Silver." Nash sighs, sitting on his chair. Silver turns to show him his furious expression.

However, it drops when Nash greets him with an unwelcoming glare, green irises smaller than usual and eyebrows furrowed.

"Shut up a bit." That was all he said to bring silence to the group that watches his expression calm.

"Calm down. I'll let you go even wilder in the second half. We simply need to scatter their defense. I'll clear a path for you." Nash tells the tall male as he drapes an arm over a chair beside him. He balls his hand into a fist before releasing it and repeating the action over again with a smirk.

"I don't know what that was about, but he seems calm now." Hyuga sighs as you had all witnessed the scene going on at Jabberwock.

"Unbelievable." Kurihara sighs with a head shake.

"Even their way of getting angry is more intense." Nakamura mutters against his nails.

"They're just noisy." Aomine scoffs.

"Agreed." Murasakibara says.

"Like you guys arent. Especially you three." You speak from behind them, pointing at Aomine then Kagami and then Kise.

"HUH?"

"( Y/n )-cchi?!"

"Shut up!"

"Proving my point." You shrug with a grin, watching them all jolt in sync.

"Okay, boys. Nice job in the first half. Keep it up in the second half, but don't let your guard down." Kagetora speaks up.

"Mm, there's no way this is their full power. They've gotta have something up their sleeves." You say, eyes narrowing at the team in black and green.

That was until your gaze shifts to Midorima to find him also staring at the team, deep in thought.

"What's up, Shin-chan?" You ask him. You witness his eyes widen and his body stiffen up as he turns to you. When he relaxes and turns back around, he begins telling you what's on his mind.

"That Nash Gold jr... it only took him a second to silence the ferocious Jason Silver. I was just wondering how powerful of a player he is." He answers you.

"Mmm, I'm kind of interested in how he is as a player too." You admit, eyes narrowing once more.

- ☹︎ -

With the same lineup as before, the third quarter begins with Nash taking hold of the ball. But, the aura surrounding him was different from the one before.

It seemed as though the others had sensed it from the way they reacted to the look in his eyes.

Nash dribbles the ball by his side, returning Kise's intense gaze.

Then Allen suddenly had the ball.

"Huh?" You mumble, shooting to sit up straight. How did he pass it that quickly? You ask yourself as the ball falls into the hoop.

Saying it's fast doesn't even begin to describe it. I couldn't even see it. You continue the mental conversation with yourself, turning your head to watch a stunned Kise. I bet Ryota is thinking the same thing.

This is going to be trouble.

"There's no time to stand around! Score one back!" Hyuga exclaims.

"Go, guys!" Nakamura cheers, fists above his head.

Kise dribbles the ball and gives it to Kuroko before he passes to Kagami. The red-haired boy goes to slam it into the hoop as he was already in the air when the ball was coming for him.

But, what do you know? Silver comes in and slaps the ball out of his hand.

Making a counterattack, Jabberwock gets the ball down the court before Nash performs his quick pass, once more leaving Kise in the dust.

Silver jumps up with the ball, prepared to slam it in. Murasakibara follows his lead, arms up in defense.

Oi, are you kidding me?! Your best friend internally yells. Are you telling me he wasn't going all out during the first half? He asks no one in particular as he falls to the ground with the ball. Only that the ball actually went in the hoop.

Your eyes widen and you leap to your feet upon seeing a dribble of blood coming from his forehead.

"Atsushi!" You call the boy with an anxious frown. He only groans, removing his hand from his forehead as he sat on the ground.

"Referee time out!" The ref announces after blowing the whistle.

"Murasakibara!" Midorima gasps as everyone stand up, at full attention.

"This isn't good." You whisper, your nails coming up to your hands where you begin to scratch the suddenly itchy skin.

Akashi's wide eyes watch your actions and how your jaw clenches, your hand burning red stripes. He turns to Midorima who wore the same expression.

They hadn't seen you so worried before.

Nor had they seen this habit of yours in a while. A habit that only occurred whenever you were extremely uneasy.

As your nails were about to begin digging deeper into your skin, another hand was placed atop of yours.

Turning your head, you were met with Nakamura and Momoi's concerned faces.

"Relax, ( N/n ). It's not over yet." Nakamura softly tells you. You nod your head but your nails don't stop.

"Stop that. It's not good for your skin." Kagetora tells you, ripping your hands off each other.

"I don't care." You mumble, grey irises watching Silver.

"We're gonna lose if this keeps going the way it is." You say, watching the people around you's eyes widen.

"Silver is a wild beast compared to them. He's on a whole 'nother level." You point out before turning to Kagetora.

"We need to change things up a bit."

"Surely you get it now, monkeys. No matter how you struggle, once I pass the ball, it's over." Nash says, taking a step towards your team on the court. His chin was high and his hands were on his hips as he spoke.

"If you try to stop Silver, you won't be able to stop the others. If you try to stop the others, you won't be able to stop Silver." He continues, gesturing to his teammates.

"Simply put, we're on a different level."

"For now, all you can do is grind your teeth in despair." Nash smirks as he raises an open palm in the air before balling it into a tight fist.

- ☹︎ -

You weren't kidding when you said you guys needed to change things up.

Point after point was scored by the opposition thanks to Nash's ridiculous passes and the other's broad figures.

"The score gap is suddenly widening." ( D/n ) whispers, watching the score that was now 36-48 to Jabberwock.

"So, it's no use? Even with the power of the Generation of Miracles?" Aran whispers into his clasped hands, his knee bobbing up and down anxiously.

"They can't win?" Atsumu mutters, turning to Osamu. They both glance at your figure to find your leg shaking up and down at a rapid pace, shaking your seat and the empty one beside you.

"You're fucking kidding me." You hiss quietly, your nails leaving crescent dents in the palm of your hands.

You could feel the crowd's anxiety rising and their hope in your team decreasing as the males stop to catch their breath. Doubling over, holding an arm or their hips, it was clear that your friends were exhausted.

"Uncle, now." You demand, causing the man to jump to his feet as well as one of your friends.

"White team, member substitution." The ref announces, blowing the whistle.

Your friends turn their heads to watch Akashi walk onto the court, cheers hitting your eardrums.

"Good job, Tetsuya." You force a grin as you hand him a drink bottle. He thanks you and sits down beside you. While he was taking a drink, he glances at your hand, eyes widening at the sight of the small, yet clearly visible red scratches on your skin, light trails of blood too.

"There's a way for us to win. Me and ( N/n ) were discussing this earlier." Akashi speaks to the other males on the court.

"We can't put you all in the zone yet. But, to prevent the gap from widening we need to stop their attacks." He continues.

"I'll guard Nash... and ( N/n ) said Silver will be marked by..."

The buzzer goes off, returning the males to the game.

But Jabberwock was taken aback when they found Silver being marked by Aomine and Kise.

A grin crawls across your lips as both males step forward with cocky smirks. Their eyeses close before they snap open in sync.

Yellow and Blue lighting sparked in their irises.

"They forced themselves into the zone!" ( D/n ) and Akira exclaim in sync, leaning forward with anticipation.

"Quit acting like you've already won, meathead." Aomine says to Silver.

"The real battle starts now!" Aomine declares before both he and Kise leap at the taller male, catching him off guard.

Swirling around him, they prevent his movements by applying an extreme amount of pressure. This left him with no other option but to pass or continue to aimlessly dribble the ball by his side.

"What's up with them? Their movements were nothing like this before." One of Jabberwock's members thinks aloud, watching Silver fail to lose them multiple times.

"Quit bugging me, you damn insects!" Silver shouts, dribbling around them. He was stopped by Aomine though which resulted in Kise tapping the ball out of his hand from behind.

"YES!" Your friends beside you cheer. You allow yourself to release the breath you subconsciously held in, a smirk stretching your lips out.

"Jeez, this is so hard to believe. They're in perfect sync." Kurihara mutters, watching both males run as though there was a mirror between them. Even their arms were moving the same way, feet meeting the ground at the same time.

But while that was going on, Akashi was struggling with Nash who seemed to know exactly where he was passing.

"Hey!" Kise calls. Receiving the ball, he copies Akashi and dribbles past number 6, sending him to the ground with an ankle breaker.

Attempting to defend against Kise, number 12 holds his arms up. But, the ball was passed to Aomine who was forced to face up against Silver... who he proved was nothing to worry about.

Casually jumping to the side of Silver, Aomine chucks the ball at the hoop with an overarm toss. Shockingly, it went in, despite the bizarre form.

"They did it!"

"What a circus shot!"

You and Momoi watch the two males jog back towards the hoop with small smiles.

For a second, you could've sworn the pink on their jerseys had faded into a pale blue.

From the corner of your eye, you could see Momoi wiping her wet eyes. Smiling, you reach over Kuroko and pat her head tenderly.

"That should be me." Your boyfriend murmurs from across the court.

"Did you say something, Akaashi?" Bokuto asks, his mouth full of chips.

"Huh?! Oh, no."

With your attention on the court, you watch Nash dribble the ball. He watches Silver curse at Kise and Aomine while Murasakibara used the length of his arms to his advantage, marking two players at once.

He certainly can defend a large area. However, that would only be if I wasn't the one passing the ball. Nash smirks to himself, throwing it past Akashi and towards one of his teammates.

"There's that fucking pass again." Riko grumbles.

"Don't worry." You sigh, leaning back in your chair as if your previous anxiety had evaporated.

"If anyone can stop that blonde bastard, it's Seijuro."

The ball goes into the hoop after Allen performs a fadeaway shot, earning Jabberwock a couple of points.

Kise watches yet another point - no, three points - be scored by Jabberwock as Murasakibara was struggling with the two players he was marking.

"Aominecchi, why don't you let me handle this dude. Double-teaming him was a bit of an overkill, don't you think?" Kise sighs, causing Aomine to do the same.

"You can go first then." Aomine says.

"What? How unusual. Can I really?" Kise grins after coming over the shock.

"I said you're first. We'll swap at some point." Aomine sighs as he jogs off.

"Okay, okay." Kise replies with a smile, watching Aomine return from the zone.

"Huh? What do you think you're doing?" Silver asks the blonde that turns to him.

"Come on, if you think about it, you should get the whole picture." Kise grins.

"I'm more than enough to guard you."

Yep, Silver was not happy about that.

"What? You damn scum."

From across the court, Kagami watches what's going on, along with the rest.

Your teammates had caught onto what was going on, and what your original plan was.

"Hey, what are those two doing?" Riko asks no one in particular.

"Arent they getting ahead of themselves?" Momoi chimes in.

"No, it's the opposite actually." Kagetora informs them.

"This was your idea, wasn't it?" He asks you, taking notice of your relaxed figure. You only grin at him.

"So what if it is?"

"I don't get it." Momoi pouts.

"Basically, they've got no energy left. It's a bluff so their opponents don't figure it out." You tell them, using a hand to gesture to the court.

"Well, I hope they don't." You mutter.

"Kise-kun's sacrificing his strength and stamina for Aomine-kun's. He's gonna try stop Silver on his own." Kagetora says just when Silver gets the ball.

Just as Silver had gotten around the blonde, Kise returns, copying Aomine before jumping into Murasakibara's block and successfully stopping another shot from being made.

Cheering comes from the crowd and your friends as Akashi passes back to the blonde, leaving him with the tallest male from Jabberwock.

"I'm not letting you go! I'll crush you!" Silver declares, arms spread and in the air.

I didn't think I'd be fulfilling such an unlucky role. Kise thinks to himself as he lets out a heavy sigh, dribbling the ball forward. Quickly crossing the ball over, he dodges Silver, an image of Aomine flashing before your eyes.

But, I don't mind. If it's our best option, then I won't hesitate. Kise continues as he lowers himself and then jumps, arms reaching for the hoop.

I'll do it! He mentally screams with a vicious glare, the memory of how Kasamatsu was defeated by Jabberwock returning to the surface.

A happy gasp leaves your mouth when he dunks the ball in over Silver's head, sending the taller to the ground.

"Yes, Ryota!" You cheer, a fist in the air as everyone from Jabberwock stood frozen, baffled.

"He's in." Akira smirks from his seat. Your dad nods his head when yellow lighting shoots from Kise's glowing irises.

"He's in the zone."

"Which means it's the zone and perfect copy? Is that possible?" Takao asks you.

"He won't last any more than a few minutes. He's using up all his gas while he still has some." You cross your arms over your chest.

"But, the strongest on the court right now, is Kise." Midorima reads your mind. You nod your head and grin.

"For now." You murmur, watching him zip past all the opponents before scoring point after point, two yellow streaks of lightning following him.

But, while everyone's attention was on Kise, no one noticed how Akashi's gaze was unfocused as if he were deep in thought.

Well, he was.

Can you hear me? I have a request.

Akaashi's voice echoes in his head, a silence following shortly after.

Well, that was until another voice replied.

One much colder.

Yes, I know what it is. It's about time.

My play style is a poor match against Nash. Lend me your strength. I need your eyes.

Fine by me, but are you sure? I was their enemy once.

I may not be compatible with them and throw off the team balance.

It's okay. They've changed.

Nobody here thinks of each other as the enemy.

And that's... the same for you, right?

Fine, I'll fight too... for the team's victory.

The ball rolls on the ground, leaving soft patters as it rolls away from the kneeling blonde.

"Ryota!" You shout, leaping up when he crumbles to his knees.

"Vorpal Swords, member substitution!"

"How lame." Kise mutters under his breath with a dry chuckle.

"Not at all. You did well." Akashi tells him, hoisting him to his feet and bringing the blonde's arm over his smaller shoulders.

"Let us handle the rest, Ryota." Akashi says, not aware of the chill shot down Kise's spine.

Midorima strolls onto the court as he was replacing Kise before he comes to a halt and pivots towards the duo.

This aura... could it be... Both you and the green-haired male think, making brief eye contact.

- ☹︎ -

"Huh? Already out of gas?" A Jabberwock dude snickers.

"Of course. There's no way he could've moved around like that forever." Another smirks as Nash bounces the ball by his side in front of Akashi.

"Too bad. Now we're back to where we were." Nash sighs, faking disappointment with a grin.

"Your recklessness meant nothing. Congratulations on your pointless effort." Nash suppresses a chuckle.

"We're not back where we started, nor was it pointless. Ryota did more than enough to set us up for our next play." Akashi replies, his tone low.

"Actually, I suggest you start worrying about yourselves instead of us."

"What's going on with him?" Riko mumbles as your foot taps against the wood.

"I can't be." She hears you whisper, your eyes growing wider by the second.

"Huh? What did you say?" Nash sneers, raising an arm to throw his speedy shot.

However, the ball was shot out of his grasp, Akashi's hand slicing through the air.

"No way!" Momoi gasps as Kuroko's eyes widen.

"He's back." You mutter, your lips forming a long grin.

Akashi raises his head to show his red and orange irises as well as his fearsome glare.

"I am absolute. Lower your head."
