I heard a knock at my office's door, I knew who it was, I was expecting Otis; I'd much rather not be doing this today, since it was the awakening today, Ella would get her wolf today. Jace was with her today, but I was stuck here cause Otis said that it was an Emergency.
I couldn't believe that it'd been a year since I got Jace and Ella, time slipped through my hands like sand and I wanted to cherish every second with them. Victor was being a bitch and wanted nothing but to be with Ella, meet her wolf.
"You can mate now that she's got her wolf", said Victor in my head.
"Shut it, stop thinking with the organ between your legs, use the one between your ears; she'll probably take some time to adjust to her wolf", I reverted; we hadn't mated yet since we wanted, Ella to get her wolf before we took that step; but that doesn't mean that we haven't done other STUFF ;)
A second knock at my door broke me out of my mental conversation with Victor.
"Yes, come in Otis"
Otis walked into my office holding some documents and smiled at me kindly, which I reciprocated.
"Alpha, sorry to keep you held up during the awakening, but this couldn't wait", said Otis.
I nodded and motioned for him to sit, "It's alright Otis, tell me what's so important?"
He pulled up a paper, which was a map of my territory, along with that of neighboring packs. He had made some inscriptions of the map towards the pack border shared by us and 'The Howlers'; those loud bastards.
"Alpha, here along the border, Howler warriors have been stationed, upon questioning, they said it was a routine exercise, but this is far too unnatural", said Otis pointing at where the warriors had been stationed.
Goddess, could this mean WAR? no, I don't want another damn war, the first one had stolen enough from me and the pack. I couldn't help but remember all the fighting in my head of the war, the rotten stench of dead bodies, the smell of dried blood, the guttural screams that ran rampant and, and, my dad's head being sliced of his body in front on my eyes.
"Could this mean war Otis?", I asked praying that it wasn't true.
"Alpha, it's too early to tell, but yes, possibly", he said.
"Very well then, prepare the war provisions, just in case; but don't let the word get out, let the people enjoy the awakening", I said with a sigh.
Otis knew very well that I hated war, maybe even was afraid of it. Otis had lost too much in the last war too.
"Alpha, rest assured, if war is declared we will be victorious, those howlers don't even stand a chance", he said, probably trying to lift my spirits.
"I know Otis, it isn't defeat that I'm worried of, but war; it just causes unnecessary suffering". I said in a sad tone.
"I'll come and survey the situation myself tomorrow, and send out Drifters to check if the howlers have any dirty tricks up their sleeves", I said.
"Yes Alpha, I'll do that; and congratulation, the Luna is getting her wolf today, right?", he said.
"Yep, and I want to be with her, so if this is all I'll leave", I replied, happy at the mention of Ellie.
"Of course Alpha, I'll see you tomorrow", he said and quickly left.

As I was climbing up the stairs to Jace's room, where he and Ella were; I could hear their voices giggling and laughing, over something stupid I bet. Over the year, Ella had really opened up to us and I couldn't be more grateful.
I opened the door to see Jace and Ella with pillows in their hands, and his room a mess; goddess they're like children. I looked at them amused and they looked guilty and tried to hide their pillows.
"Now what would you two be doing?", I asked, I wasn't mad, just curious.
Ella squealed and jumped into my arms, I grabbed her lifted her off the ground and she latched her legs around my waist.
"Grey! I got my wolf, her name is Marina", she practically screamed in my head.
"Yep, she's been like that since the past hour when she got Marina", said Jace coming close and I lightly pecked him on the lips, even though I wanted more.
"Goddess, she is so cool Grey, she's funny and she is a physic wolf", Ella said.
"A physic wolf? good job Ellie, I'm excited to meet her", I said.
"So what did Otis say?", asked Jace.
I didn't want to spoil the mood on Ella's awakening with news of possible war, so I lied even though it was physically very hard for me to lie to my mates. When one lies to their mate, their heart beat spikes and it is very obvious that they're lying.
"Nothing as such, just regarding the warrior batch", I said with no conviction.
Jace gave me a look of, 'don't bullshit me', but when I didn't budge he got it that it was probably better for me to not tell and said, "Okay then"
"Can Marina meet Victor and Tytus today?" Ella asked
"Yep, we'll be leading the ceremony, you can meet them then", said Jace.
I wanted to change my clothes, so I gently let Ella down on the bed and went to into Jace's closet, which was now more like ours. All three of us had clothes scattered across each other's houses and it was hard to match outfits because of that.
"Mom put your blue shirt in the wash before I could stop her", said Jace.
"Oh, well thank her for me then", I said.
I was digging through the closet looking for anything that I could wear when I heard Ella call my name, "Grey?"
"Yes baby?", I asked still not turning around, I felt Ella walk up behind me, trying to be stealthy but failing miserable; while Jace let out a slight chuckle but covered it up; these two were up to no good.
I turned around only to be smacked across the face with a pillow, I tightened my jaw only to find Ellie in front on me the holding the device that smacked me across the face. She looked at me with an innocent smile while Jace was laughing at this.
"So is this how you wanna play this?, I asked intrigued by action.
"What do you mean BABY?", she asked acting innocent.
"I'll tell you what I mean", I said and quickly ran after he as she squealed and tried to escape. She almost made it to the door, when I caught her and snaked my arms around her waist not letting go. Jace came up to us, bent down to look her in the eye and said, "oo tough luck, can't get you out of this one".
"this was your stupid idea", she said to Jace and stuck her tongue out at him, goddess she is cute.
"I can make it better", said Jace and he connected their lips. He started kissing her passionately while she was still in my hold, he cupped her jaw gently. Holy shit this was hot, Ellie began moaning into the kiss lightly and started to squirm around in my hold. I let go of her, and Jace placed her in his lap while continuing the make out session.
Jace grabbed the roots of her brown hair lightly while Ella gripped his shoulders as they deepened the kiss. Ella was usually very shy with this stuff, but getting her wolf might've made her feel the mate bond deeper than ever before, so she was visibly needy. Ella would've been at the awakening ceremony today, but since she already knew who she was mated to, she skipped it entirely; now she only had to attend the shift.
I could smell both of their arousals in the air and it only excited me further, I wanted to join in but watching them make out was satisfactory too. They finally broke the kiss to get some air, and Ella suddenly became very aware of her actions and got embarrassed.
"It's alright darling, you just got your wolf, you're feeling the bond in full effect", said Jace in a deep husky and voice full of desire, I wanted him just like this, on edge and hungry for more.
"I like it, the bond I mean", she said while going red.
"Now, my turn", I said, wanting to kiss them both and headed to them.
Just as I was going to reach in to kiss Jace, there was a knock at the door. We quickly fixed ourselves up and the door opened revealing Jace's mom, Mrs. Whitlock. She saw all of us standing in the middle of the room, she smelled the air full of pheromones and understood what was going on in the room before she came in. She said, "The shift starts soon, I came to tell you get ready to leave" and turned to leave the room.
"And kids? NOT IN MY HOUSE", she said, referring to what we were doing, before shutting the door and heading downstairs.
I looked at Jace who was running a hand down his hair, he had grown it long and his blonde locks now fell to just below his shoulder. Ella looked so flustered and embarrassed being caught like that by Mrs. Whitlock.
Goddess, what is it mothers and cockblocking me?
"Okay, are your ready to go?", I asked both of them, which was met with nods.
Alright let's get this done.
