I saw Tsukishima sitting on a bed which I assume is his but in his hands he had a tiny caramel and brown coloured kitten
"What are you doing here Y/n," Tsukishima said with a scowl
"YOU HAVE A KITTEN?!!!" I said while ignoring his question and going to sit on the bed next to him
"Sadly," he said
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SADLY?" I said while petting the kitten lightly
"I wanted a chameleon," Tsukishima said while trying to not show the love on his face for the little kitten
"Kittens are way cuter though," I said while looking up at him madly
"Chameleons are cooler," he said annoyed "You want to hear an interesting story about shor- ...this kitty," he asked
"This kitty? You don't have a name for it?" I asked while making little circles on the kittens fur
Tsukishima went red and looked away
Hmm
"Even though me and my brother REALLY wanted a chameleon we couldn't get one because my mother refused, a few days after we were denied I saw something in my garden while I was collecting blueberries, it was a little furry thing in the dirt I stopped digging and picked it up, I realised that it was a kitten that was probably born a few weeks ago at first I thought it was dead but I took it into my house and warmed it up and soon I could see it was breathing I then had to bottle feed it every day after that and here we are now I was actually just about to bottle feed her," he said while looking at the kitten the whole time, he tried not to show he loved it but I could tell by the way he held it gently and petted its soft fur lightly making sure not to hurt it. He could just be doing that because he's not a monster but the way that he looked at the kitten gave away so much. His eyes always betray him.
"CAN I FEED HER?" I asked excitedly
"Do you want her to feed you shortcake?" he said in a baby voice to 'shortcake'
After he realised what he done he went red, bright bright red.
"SHORTCAKE? THAT'S THE SWEETEST NAME EVER! AWWWW" I said while looking down at the kitten who fitted in one of his hands
"You can feed her but I'll have to monitor you," he said while passing the kitten to me carefully
I looked at the kitten that was now in my hand and my heart felt like it was about to explode
"Can I live with you? Or steal her from you or something?" I asked while looking at the kitten
"Yes, but I'd have to kill you," he said while getting something from the mini-fridge he had in his room
"Isn't he mean shortcake?" I said in a baby voice to the kitten
"DONT FEED HER LIES!" he said while looking up at me madly
"He's just so silly isn't he," I said while still doing the baby voice
He pulled a little bottle out from the fridge that had I'm guessing kitten milk in it. He sat on the bed and started explaining to me what I need to do
"Ok, so for other kittens you'd normally need to hold it gently and on its belly but shortcake is a very picky eater she can only eat while on her back so she can see you, she's also a very messy eater so you need to hold her neck a little firm so she can't shove her face into the bottle" he explained while looking at me seriously
I got her into the position that Tsukki said "is this ok?" I asked him
"I do it better but it's ok," he said with a smirk
I rolled my eyes at him and he laughed slightly
"Ok, so now you're going to hold the bottle like this," he said while putting the bottle in my hand and putting his hand over my hand to show me how
he helped me put the bottle into shortcakes mouth as she was being difficult
He let go of my hand after he knew I got the hang of it
"Do you think she'll look different when she's older?" I asked him not taking my eyes off shortcake
"Well like humans, kittens have baby fat, so she'll probably lose her chubby cheeks," he said while rubbing shortcakes cheeks
"I bet she'll still be adorable though," I said while smiling down at shortcake
"This looks cosy," Kageyama said who was now standing in the doorway
"Kageyama, look! This is shortcake" I said happily
"It's ugly," he said as he looked at shortcake
"SHUT UP! YOU'RE UGLY! Looking like a bloody troll," I said annoyed
"Whatever I'm gonna leave you two to it," he said while walking away before I stopped him
"Wait! Where did you go when you disappeared?" I asked
"Wanted to see how big this house was," he said while looking at tsukishima
"So you've been walking around my house like a creep?" Tsukishima said angrily
"You've not got anything to hide so why wouldn't I?" Kageyama asked
"Aren't these boys being so silly shortcake?" I said in a baby voice while looking at shortcake who was now asleep "KEI KEI, SHES ASLEEP WHAT DO I DO?" I said while freaking out
"Calm down Y/n she has a bed," Tsukishima said while petting shortcake
Kageyama walked away while rolling his eyes
"Here let me take her" tsukishima took the now half-empty bottle out of my hand and lifted up shortcake carefully
He slowly and carefully walked over to a very expensive looking cat bed, it was baby pink and had strawberries all over it
"Awwww," I said as I walked over and sat down to the pet bed that shortcake was now in
"Do you think I should show her to the team if she wakes up?" Tsukishima's asked as he put the milk back in the fridge
"They'll scare her half to death! No way," I said while petting shortcake softly "In fact, we should leave. I don't want to wake her up"
I stood up and started pushing Kei out of his room I turned off the light and closed the door slowly
"Nice room by the way," I said with a smirk as we started walking down the hallway
"Oh shut up"
"What?! I'm telling the truth! I love the volleyball magazine's hidden under your bed"
"They're- they're for... shortcakes litter," he said as we walked down the stairs
"Obviously," I said sarcastically as I laughed
When we got to the bottom of the stairs I saw Asahi now awake but with a pen moustache on him
Of course Noya and Tanaka had to do that
Hinata and Kageyama were arguing at the dinner table
Noya and Tanaka were gone and probably hiding from Daichi who was also gone
And Suga was sitting on the couch trying to look for a movie on Netflix
Hinata looked up at me and Tsukki he wiggled his eyebrows and said "Where have you two been? Hmmm"
"We were uh-" I said trying to think of an excuse
Now I could tell him about the kitten
But for shortcake's sake
I cannot
"Sleeping together," I blurted out
Why the hell

I'm not getting into it
"Y/N!" tsukki shouted while looking down at me annoyed
Kageyama knew we were lying and Hinata went really pale
"I'M JOKING, OBVIOUSLY! I'd never sleep with him"
"What me and Y/n were actually doing was... putting her ice cream in my mini freezer!" Tsukishima said
Shit
I forgot my ice cream in his room
"Yup!" I said happily
The doorbell went and Asahi jumped of his bean bag and said "it's probably the pizza, I'll get it"
Asahi came back a few minutes later looking annoyed "not the pizza" he said while sitting back down on his bean bag
Kiyoko and Yachi walked in laughing at what I'm guessing is Asahi's face
They both walked up to me and Tsukki
Who was still standing next to me
"Who drew on Asahi?" Asked Kiyoko still laughing
"Take a wild guess," I said
She looked around and said with a straight face "Noya and Tanaka"
"Yup!"
I looked up at tsukki who was staring at Yachi without her noticing
I nudged Kei slightly and he looked down at me madly
"Ok, Tsukishima and Yachi you go and find Noya, Tanaka and Daichi. While me and Kiyoko sort out the snacks," I said with a smirk
Tsukishima's face quickly turned from mad to red but then back to mad
"BUT WHY-" I cut tsukishima off
"Cause you know the way around your house," I replied
"Fine" he walked off with Yachi following him
I'm the best Cupid ever

"Kageyama and Hinata go and stop Suga from picking a sappy movie," I said
Kageyama rolled his eyes while Hinata ran to the sofa, Kageyama followed after him annoyed
"Wait we need plates and bowls," I said while looking at Kiyoko
"Don't worry I think I saw the kitchen while walking in," said Kiyoko happily
"Ok! Thanks!" I said as she ran off
I walked over to the dining table and started unpacking everything I couldn't separate everything until I got plates and bowls though so I walked over to Asahi
"Hey Asahi, you do know you have pen on your face?" He looked up at me from his beanbag
"Dont. Care. So. Hungry" he replied with a white face
"Ok, you can get some food but don't let the others see," I whispered to him
He nodded his head and I helped him up from the beanbag we crept to the table hoping the others wouldn't notice
I gave him a sandwich and he ran to the toilet after saying thank you
Just as he ran out Kiyoko walked in with bowls and plates
Me and her sat everything like popcorn, gummy sweets and chips into bowls and sandwiches etc onto plates
We waited for Tsukishima, Yachi and everyone else to come back
The doorbell went
Probably the pizza Asahi was talking about
"I'll get it!" I said while walking out of the living room and strolling over to the big grand door
I opened the door and was shocked to see
"KUROO?" I said surprised
"Y/N??" He said back just as surprised
What the hell is he doing here?

"What are you doing here?"
"Delivering pizza's obviously, but when did you get rich?" he said with a laugh
"Are you getting the pizza or not Y/n?" Said Kei from behind me

"Obviously I am," I said while looking up at Tsukki
"You know everyones waiting for the pizza," Kei said annoyed
"This is my friend Kuroo, he was on holiday in Wales while I was living there and we became friends but I haven't seen you in..?" I said while turning back to Kuroo
"A year? I think" He replied with a shrug

I went to wales two years ago
Oh wait the dog incident
"Oh yeah! That time I bumped into you," I said while remembering
"Yeah you were babysitting a dog in Tokyo and needed my help," he said while laughing back at the memories
"Wait so, why are you delivering pizzas? And so far away from Tokyo?" I said surprised
"It's a longggg story but a friend of mine who stays here really needed me to fill in for them so this is only a one-time thing"
"Oh, I hope your friends okay," I said while looking at him worried
"Oh yeah, she's perfectly fine I would explain it to you but I think glasses behind you is pissed," he said while looking behind me but not really cause Tsukishima's tall ass toward over me. He was like a tree. So annoying
"I'm hungry just like everyone else, this catch-up of yours is very lovely and heartwarming but if I watch it any longer you'll put me off my food so chop-chop," he said while digging in his wallet for money
He handed the money to Kuroo and snatched the pizza boxes from him
"I better get a move on Y/n but we'll catch up later, bye!" Kuroo said with a wave
Kei then slammed the door on his face
"Why are you so pissy?" I said while turning to Kei annoyed
"Because you made me go off with Yachi ALONE," he said mad
"Isn't that what you want?" I said while looking confused
"No- yes...I- I don't know," he said with his face a tint of red but his ears as red as a tomato
"Aw Kei, you're even worse with your feelings than I am with mine," I said with a little laugh
"Ugh this is all so...so"
"Annoying"
"Yes," he said while looking down at the pizza and his stomach rumbled
"Cmon let's go watch a movie and binge eat," I said while walking quickly to the living room
Kei followed after me
"Now that everyone's here have we decided on a movie?" I said while looking at everyone sitting on the sofa
"Yup! We've decided on pretty women" Hinata said happily

"Uh alright," I said while walking to the dining table
Tsukishima sat down on the sofa while putting the pizza boxes in the middle of the table
Asahi positioned his beanbag so he could see the tv and get as many snacks as he wanted
"Can someone help me with the plates and bowls?" I asked
"Yeah, I will!" Yachi said while jumping up from her seat next to Kageyama
"I will to Y/n," said Suga while standing up eagerly to get the movie started
They walked up and started helping, we started transporting everything to the table in front of the sofa until we were done
As me and Yachi were getting the rest of the stuff I asked her if she could give the shortcake to Kei
"Yeah, sure!" She said happily with the shortcake in her hand
I put the bowls down on the table and sat down next to Noya and Daichi
Yachi sat next to Kei while giving him the shortcake
I couldn't see his reaction or face cause Tanaka was in the way
"Ok everyone, we ready?" Asked Suga while holding the remote
"Yup!" Most of us replied
He started the movie and everyone started passing around snacks while watching intently

But this movie is overrated
Like it's ok? And obviously, I want to be Julia Roberts

I was watching the movie while nibbling on MY salted popcorn, people were trying to steal the popcorn from me but every time they tried I gave them evil eyes
We watched the movie in complete silence or tried too, Hinata was reacting to everything in the movie

When the movie was over we all stretched and yawned
"You guys up for another movie?" Daichi asked
"As long as Tsukishima's ok with that," said Suga while looking at Kei
Kei rolled his eyes
"He is, don't worry," I said while staring at the TV
"Uhhh how do you know?" Asked Noya confused
"Trust me I just know," I said while looking down at him "Ok well, I'm going to get drinks you guys want anything?" I said while standing up
"Yeah," they all said in unison
"Well we got cola so I hope you all like that," I said while trying to get out from the middle of the sofa
It was so cramped as everyone was sitting on the sofa
Yes it was big but it had 9 people sitting on it
Lucky Asahi sitting on that huge beanbag alone
As I couldn't get around either way I just climbed over the sofa
"DONT DO THAT TO MY SOFA," Tsukishima said while looking behind to me
"I WAS STUCK," I said while walking up to the table
"Yeah yeah, always some problem," he said while rolling his eyes
"Talking about problems, I need cups," I said while nervously laughing
"I'll get them but you'll have to help," he said while standing up
"Okkkk"
We walked out of the living room and I followed him to the kitchen which wasn't that far from the entrance
"Wow the kitchen was here all along, at least I know for the future," I said as we stepped into the cold kitchen
"There won't be a future," Tsukishima said while opening cupboards
"Kei, you know I'm already in love with shortcake so I will be coming to your house as much as possible just to see her," I said as he was passing me cups
"I will move house," he said while grabbing more cups
"I'll track you down"
We left the kitchen with hands full of cups
"Thanks for the surprise," he said quietly from behind me
"I have no clue what you're talking about" I said with a smile
We walked into the living room and put the cups on the table
I grabbed one of the cola bottles and tried to open it, I was putting all my muscles into that bottle, I don't know what it is about bottles but they just hurt to open so much, I think it's because of the lids.
Tsukishima was trying to get the bottle from me "GIVE ME THE BOTTLE Y/N" Tsukishima said while grabbing the bottle
"NO! I CAN DO IT" I said still struggling I was about to open the bottle with my mouth until Tsukishima let go and looked at me grossed out "what?" I asked innocently as the bottle was close to my mouth
"Do NOT do that" he said freaked out
"BUT HOW ELSE AM I MEANT TO OPEN IT?" I said while looking down at the bottle stressed out
"Just give me it!" He said as he managed to grab the bottle from me
"Kei!" I said annoyed
"So weak," he said while opening the cola
"I almost had it. The only reason you managed to open it was because I weakened it for you," I said while snatching the now opened cola from him
"Don't make me laugh" he said while scoffing
I poured the cola into the cups while Tsukishima stood and watched me
"Thanks for the help," I said sarcastically as I filled up the last cup
"No problem," he said with a smirk as he picked up the cups
I rolled my eyes and picked up some cups too
"We have cola!" I said as I sat the cola down on the table
"Yay!" Hinata said happily
Everyone took their glasses and had a drink before playing "the incredibles"
"Now, this is a movie I actually like," I said as I sat down in between Daichi and Noya again
"You don't like pretty women?" Kageyama asked me surprised
"I do, it's just... I don't know, like it's not even that romantic" I said while looking at him
"Shhh," said Daichi as he put his index finger on his lips
"Sorry," I said as I drank more cola
We watched a few more movies but sadly Kiyoko and Yachi had to leave early as Kiyoko had to babysit and Yachi offered to help her I did as well but she was only allowed one other visiter at the kid's house
We stopped watching movies at midnight and because it was so late the team asked if they could stay
"Sleepover?!" Said Hinata laughing evily like it was his plan to stay over from the beginning. I looked around at what the rest of the team and they also had an evil expression like they all planned to stay. I looked down at what they were all wearing and it was VERY comfy clothes, clothes that you could sleep in.
"No," said Tsukki with an annoyed face
"Cmon it will be fun," Suga said while putting his hand on Tsukki's shoulder
"UGH FINE! But you guys have to help me tidy EVERYTHING

my brother comes home tomorrow he's staying at his girlfriend's house so we can clean everything tomorrow" he said as he crossed his arms
"I don't know guys," I said worried
I need to have a shower tonight
I also look ugly in the morning
What if I drool or something

"Why? Y/n, it's gonna be so fun!" Noya said energetically
"But I have no clothes" I said looking at them all
"Tsukishima can give you some!" Daichi said with a reassuring smile
"What? No!" Tsukishima said annoyed
"What if- what if-" I said before Tanaka cut me off "Y/n stop worrying"
"For god sake! Cmon Y/n, let's get you some clothes" Tsukishima said while rolling his eyes and grabbing my wrist
He dragged me to his room and before he could open his door I stopped him
"Open it quietly and carefully," I whispered
"Yes! I know" He whispered back while letting go of my wrist
He opened the door slightly and I turned on his room light
Shortcake stretched and waddled over to us
"Hello shortcake," I said while bending down and picking her up
Tsukishima looked down at us and then started rummaging through his drawers
I went and sat on Tsukki's bed with shortcake on my lap I petted and talked to shortcake for a few seconds until Tsukishima turned around with dinosaur PJs
"Omg, you really do love dinosaurs!" I said excitedly
"They're just interesting, ok? Wouldn't go as far by saying I love them" he said as he threw the PJs at me
As I was getting the PJs of my face Tsukishima stole shortcake from my lap
"Rude!" I said
"She's so annoying, isn't she shortcake?" he said while raising shortcake up above his head with one hand
I rolled my eyes and he kissed shortcake on the head
OMG CUTE

If I comment on it then he'll make it a thing and never do it again
I knew he loved shortcake!
"Go to the bathroom and get changed," Tsukishima said while putting shortcake down on his bed
"I would love to do that! but there's only one problem... I don't know where the bathroom is"
"Well chop-chop then, I'll show you," he said while walking out of his room
I closed the door behind us to make sure shortcake didn't get out
We went down the left corridor and then went down a corner till we got to a big bathroom
Of course he has a huge bathroom
Omg is the floor heated?
"Is this floor heated?!" I said surprised as I stepped on the bathroom floor
"Yup, now hurry up. I want to get this night over with as fast as possible" he said while walking away

I closed the door and changed into his Pyjama bottoms and shirt they were a wee bit too big on me as he was 6'2 but they were still functional and plus bigger clothing is always more comfortable
I looked in the mirror and groaned. My hair was a wee bit greasy on the top and messier than usual I also looked more pale than usual and because of that my skin was redder from past spots I could actually see new spots forming
"Why does my skin have to be so terrible," I said as I pulled my checks
My eye bags were bad as well
"I look like death" I groaned and stopped looking in the mirror before I get more sad
I picked up all my clothes and opened the door with my back hunched over I tried to make myself happier so that I wouldn't ruin the night
It's ok Y/n it's ok
I should actually call mom I know she said I could stay but she's probably worrying about me
I grabbed my phone from my old jumper pocket
"Hey, mom!"
"Hi, honey! Is everything ok?"
"Oh yeah yeah everything's ok I just miss you"
"I know that you'll be ok as Kageyama is there but are you sure these boys are ok?"
"Trust me Mom they wouldn't hurt a fly!"
"If they do-"
"Mom! Trust me! You'll meet them one day"
"Just call me when you want picked up for therapy, your session is at 3"
"Ok! Thanks, mom!"
"I love you, honey! Sleep well, if you need ANYTHING call me"
"Yeah, I will, love you! Bye"
I hung up before she could say bye again and continued walking to Tsukishima's room
I know these guys would NEVER do anything to hurt me
I truly meant what I said when I said they wouldn't hurt a fly
But I can't help worrying

I walked into Tsukishima's room to see the whole team there playing with shortcake
"Kei!" I said while making sure shortcake wasn't scared
"It wasn't my fault, ok! Hinata barged in here and told everyone" Tsukishima said while picking shortcake up and trying to keep her away from them
"We should make her our mascot!" Said Noya looking at tanaka
"Please please please Daichi! He can come to all our games and wear little clothes and cheer us on by being cute" Hinata pleaded
Somehow shortcake managed to escape from Tsukishima's hand and Tsukishima's eyes widened while shortcake went up to the team which were now sitting down on the floor in awe
"SHORTCAKE NO!" Said Tsukishima trying to get to shortcake
"I guess she could be our team pet but you guys will have to be careful with her! She's just a baby" said Daichi as he looked down at shortcake
"She cannot be the team pet!" Said Tsukishima sternly
"Why not?!" Said Tanaka while petting shortcake
"Because she's MY kitten and I don't want her getting dirty from being around all of you," he said while picking shortcake up
"Oh come on Kei! This will be exciting! And we'll get to spend more time with shortcake if she's at practice" I said while taking shortcake from him
"Ugh! Ok, fine. But you guys will have to wait until she's a bit older I don't want her getting crushed from a volleyball," he said while looking back at the team annoyed
I put shortcake on the ground and everyone started playing with her
I looked around and noticed Kageyama wasn't here
Where is he?
Should I go look for him
What if he finds it weird if I do
But what if he's sad
I'll go look for him
I left the room without anyone noticing and went downstairs to see Kageyama sitting on the sofa
I crept up behind him and went "boo!" He turned around in fear
"You have to stop doing that Y/n!" He said still scared
I started laughing and jumped over the sofa and sat down next to him
"Why are you not upstairs with everyone else?" I asked him as his eyes were glued to his phone
"I don't know, I guess I'm just in a bad mood" he replied while putting his phone down
"Why?"
"I don't know"
I wonder why he's in a bad mood
I should do something to make him happier
"You were in a good mood this morning"
"I know. Did everyone like the cat?" he asked while looking at me
"Yeah, shortcakes going to become the team's mascot," I said while trying to figure out a way to make him happier
"I'm more of a dog person not going to lie," he said while resting his head back on the sofa and looking up at the ceiling
"What's your favourite dog?" I asked him while resting my head back as well and looking at the roof
"Pitbull"
"Why?"
"Cause they're misunderstood, everyone thinks they're so violent and mean but they're really just misunderstood," he said
"Hm, that's actually quite fitting for you!" I said while looking at him
"What do you mean?" he asked while looking at me
"I think you already know," I said while smiling but looking back up at the roof
"Thanks Y/n" he whispered still looking at me

"Why do you know so much about the UK?" he asked curiously looking back up at the ceiling
I told him everything and his face soften
"I understand, my grandpa died a little before the start of this school year it's probably cringe to say but he was my best friend. He taught me everything I know about volleyball and everything else, I want to be just like him when I'm older, I want to make him proud," He said as I looked at him
"I'm sorry Kageyama, your grandfather sounds like a great man. I wouldn't worry about the proud thing, he's probably already so proud of you- I mean you are known as a prodigy," I said with a smile
"You think?" He asked while looking at me, his eyes had a tinge of sadness in them
"I know! Who isn't proud of you! You're amazing at volleyball!" I said happily
"It's not just volleyball though, what about me? Do you think he'd be proud of the person I am?" He asked worriedly
"I don't know why he wouldn't be. You're a great person!"
He looked at me for a few seconds
"Thanks, Y/n," he said without whispering this time
"Ew ok now this is getting cringy"
"You cringed all over me first!" He said while sitting up
"Uh, no!" I said while sitting up
"Next time keep your... cringe to yourself," he said as he slightly smiled before standing up
It wasn't a douchebag smile or a forced smile it was a real smile
I cant believe I managed to make him real smile
"You want to come meet the kitten then?!" I said while standing up
"I guess I'll have to if it's gonna be at our practices and games," he said annoyed
"You'll love shortcake!" I said excited
"Yeah yeah," he said while rolling his eyes
We walked up the stairs with a much happier energy
I'm glad I managed to make you happy Kageyama

I'm not gonna lie I didn't like this chapter which was a bummer because I really love the idea of tsukishima having a cat called shortcake! This chapter also took FOREVER to write but I think I got it out at an ok time? Hopefully
The next few chapters I am so excited to write I just hope they go well cause I really don't want to hate they chapters too
