his face, it was very close to mine, and for some reason, it made my heart flutter a bit
I didn't like him or anything, it's just.. well no one has ever been this nice to me besides my mom so
"uh..no- it's just.. uh- w-well-" I just kept looking at him, he looked at me
he giggled and slightly patted my head, then he went back
"get some rest when you get home"
I just nodded
"okay then, cya tomorrow"
"mhm, take care"

I went home, I wanted to see hyunjin but after what happened yesterday it would be better if I don't
god, I'm literally so obsessed with him
anyways I went home, mom wasn't there so I just went to my room, got changed and started scrolling through instagram again, it was just full of hyunjin, but I loved seeing him, even though he literally hates me, I keep admiring him.
sucks I know, but I can't help it, I just like him too much- or.. maybe I'm just obsessed, oh well
after scrolling a bit I got really bored, so i decided to do the work seungmin told me to do, but I got even more bored by doing that, soo I just decided to go out for a bit, just to take a walk or whatever

I went to the cafe I usually go to, and as usual I was just alone, I got myself my regular thing, an Americano and decided to head back home
while I was walking back home, I thought I would take some snacks back my way, there was a shop nearby my house but I never went there so I decided to go today
I went in and bought some stuff I like then I went to check out, but when I saw the person at the counter, I think I knew him somewhat
it was seungmin..? what was he doing here- does he work here? then I walked towards him
"hey"
he looked up from what he was doing "oh- hey"
"you work here?" I asked curiously
"mhm"
"ohh-"
wow, so that's why he's always in a hurry after the tutoring, he's so good in studying and does a job to help his family as well, the perfect son indeed
"well I live nearby"
"oh? I've been working here for a while but I never saw you though" he said as he started taking my stuff and scanning them one by one
"well that's probably because I never came here until today"
"ohh I see"
"yea"
"well here's your stuff"
"mhm thanks"
"ofcourse"
"what time does your shift get over?"
"well in about an hour, why?"
"ohh- I thought if you'd like to.. hang out.. maybe-" my voice lowered
he went silent
"its totally fine if you don't want t-"
"I'd love to!" he smiled

"well alright, let's hang out when you don't have work pft"
"hm well I don't at saturdays mostly"
"ah I see, well then let's go somewhere together"
"yeah sure!"
"alright then, cya!"
"oh wait before that can I get your number?"
this was the first time anyone asked me this, and it felt.. well, nice
"mhm ofcourse!" and then we exchanged numbers
"alright I'll text you when I get home" I said
"..but if you don't want me to then it's fine-" I quickly added
"nono it's all good" he smiled again

I just smiled back and nodded

when I reached home, I tried texting seungmin, I don't why I was nervous doing it- probably because I've never really had friends, the only people I text are mom and hyunjin, and he doesn't even ever reply
should I just send a hi? or should I add something else- or should i-
AHH ITS JUST A DAMN TEXT WHY AM I OVERREACTING SO MUCH-
I finally sent a text
"heyy"
after a few seconds he replied
"oh hey"
"wyd"
"waiting for my shift to get
over so i can go home lol"
"LOL"
"yep"
i would text him more but we aren't really that close so i dont know what to say, ill just go do my work.

after an hour or so I was finally done but I didn't text him because he was probably already home and I didnt wanna disturb him, so I just got dinner and went to sleep

the next day
just a usual day, I got up and took a shower, did my makeup, got some breakfast aaand left for school, when I reached there I started looking for hyunjin as usual, but I couldn't find him anywhere, I saw Sung Hee but not him
later at lunch when I bought his cookies I couldn't find him again so I just gave the cookies to seungmin, maybe he didn't come today
soon school ended and I still had no idea where hyunjin was, since I had nothing to do I thought I'd join seungmin in the library
"can I come with you? I have nothing else to do so" I asked
"to the library?"
"yea, but instead of studying I'll be reading comics or manhwa or something like that"
"but remember we still do have to do the tutoring"
"I know I know"
"alright then" he said and then we went, it went on casually and soon we got done, he showed me the work I had to do as usual and then I left, I saw Sung Hee on my way so I decided to ask her about hyunjin
"hey" I called her from behind
she turned "oh hey unnie"
"do you know why hyunjin didn't come today?"
"oh yeah he texted me saying his parents are not home so he won't come"
I don't think he would not come because of that, there's alot of times his parents aren't home but he still comes though, weird
"ah, well--"
her phone rings
"oh I got to go unnie, see you around!"
"i- uh okay bye" and then I left
did hyunjin call her? I should probably go visit him- and I get a call, it was mom
"hey mom"
"where are you?"
"just got done with
tutoring, why?"
"ohh, well come home quickly"
"uhh, alright-"

did something happen? I should probably go quickly
I went home, and then to mom's room, she sat there with a few stuff, rather outfits
"oh here you are!" she said and walked towards me
"you needed something?"
"I bought these for you, and a few of them I designed myself, I just want you to try these out!"
"ohh- well sure I would lovee tooo"
there were quite a few alot of them, however they looked really pretty so I tried them on one by one, it took us about 3 hours to finish up with all the outfits, it was fun though
anyways after we got done it was around 9 pm, so I decided to give hyunjin a visit though he probably doesn't want me there, I just wanted to check on him

when I reached, I was gonna get in, but I just stopped right before his door, the words he said last time I came started running all around my head, just when I was about press the bell, the door opened, it was one of the maids
"oh!" she bowed as she saw me, I bowed back
"where's hyunjin?"
"ah he's.. well.." she looked at his room
"he's?" I was confused
"he's really sick, his parents aren't home and all the other staff left, it's my time to leave as well but I decided to stay since no one is here to take care of him, but due to some problems I have to go home as well" she said
"he's sick? where is he right now?"
"in his room"
"well you can go if you'd like, I'll stay" I told her
"thank you so much!" she bowed again and left
I went to his room, he was on his bed and he looked very pale, his cheeks and nose were super red, he was probably asleep, but he seemed like he was having trouble breathing
I went in and touched his forehead, it was very hot, he seemed so sick
oh god, what should I do-
