¤Author's POV :D¤
While the three were walking around the mall, Zimo had spotted a piercing store (Idk wtf you call it) and got an idea. He tapped Qiao Ling's shoulder and gestured to the store and then to Cheng Xiaoshi. Qiao Ling then mouthed 'He probably wouldn't like it. He isn't that kind of person.' Xiaoshi was in the middle of the two, hands going into a fist. "Whatever the hell you're trying to do, stop it." Qiao Ling and Zimo stopped but Zimo wasn't satisfied. He grabbed his brother's wrist and basically dragged him to the piercing store. "I- Wha-" Cheng Xiaoshi stuttered, surprised at what just happened. "So..? You want one?" Xiaoshi was surprised but nodded eagerly. "We'll only get-" "Tongue piercing." Zimo turned his head to look at his brother and raised his eyebrow "Do you know how painful they are? I mean like.. Not when it's getting pierced but it's after, during the healing process. Not even I have one." Zimo glared at Cheng Xiaoshi, him glaring back. "Both of you.. STOP FIGHTING- We're here to get our minds off.. Something.. And we don'thave time to argue. Cheng Xiaoshi will get the piercing and if he doesn't like it, it'll be removed and we'll get a refund or swap it out for a different piercing." Qiao Ling went in between the two boys and pushed them away by their chests. "Now.. Let's go!" She smiled at the two of them. "Is she like this all the time?" "Yeah.. You'll get used to it." The brothers nodded at each other before walking inside.
¤Cheng Xiaoshi's POV¤
We sat down and waited patiently. "Xiaoshi?" I stood up with Zimo and we followed the piercer (Correct me if I'm wrong) Into a small room and I took a seat. "How are we today?" "Not very well. My brother recently lost his partner and we're here to get his mind off of it." The woman sighed, "I'm sorry to hear about that. But it'll be alright, they're in a peaceful place now." I nodded and the piercer offered me a hug. I hugged them and it felt welcoming, as if I had felt it before somewhere a long time ago. "What piercing would you like today?" "Tongue piercing." The familiar woman nodded and turned to get out a needle thing. "You'll feel a bit of a pinch but other than that, it shouldn't hurt." The piercer also got out a ring thing with a handle and put on some gloves. "Stick out your tongue." I obliged and she placed the ring near the front of my tongue, it felt cold but I handled it. "Alright, ready?" I nodded slightly. "Mk, 3.. 2.. 1." I felt the needle pierce through my tongue and flinched a bit before feeling it be cleaned quickly and something metal go through my tongue. "All done! Quick and easy. How do you feel?" I swirled my tongue around a little and nodded in approval. "A little uncomfortable but I'll get used to it." The piercer smiled and stood up, gesturing for us to follow her. "Your total is 318.88 yuan." (It's 50 USD or 69.64 AUD so don't worry -w-") I was about to pay but Zimo beat me to it. He seemed a little annoyed but I just brushed it off. "Thank you! Have a great day!" We left and Zimo gave me a few things to help with my piercing. "Can I see it?" I nodded and showed her. "Woah- That's so cool!!" Someone's phone started ringing. "Hm? I'll be right back." Zimo answered the phone and started talking to the person on the other side.
¤After a few minutes¤
¤Zimo's POV¤
"Yeah.. Mk.. Got it.. You better tell him within a fucking week though. Cya." I hung up the phone and started leading Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi back to the parking lot. I put them both in the car and left immediately. "What's the rush?!" "No reason- N-No reason at all. Just uhm- Just wanna get home so we can get more supplies out for Xiaoshi's piercing." Shit.. I stuttered. "Zimo.. You never stutter unless you're nervous or lying.." I ignored him and kept on driving. I got so lost in thought that I almost drove through a red light. It soon started raining
¤After they got home¤
¤Cheng Xiaoshi's POV¤
After we got back inside, I ran back outside again. "XIAOSHI! Shit..! CHENG XIAOSHI, COME BACK!!!" I heard loud footsteps coming towards me quickly, I almost slipped over but I picked myself up and ran faster. "COME BACK HERE YOU IDIOT, IT'S RAINING." "Cheng Xiaoshi!!" I took a sharp turn and slipped, I quickly used my hands to pick myself up and continued running. "SHIT, COME BACK!! GO BACK QIAO LING!! XIAOSHI!"
¤About 20 minutes later¤
My throat started hurting from breathing in the cold air. I had multiple stitches from running and Zimo was still running after me. Memories of Lu Guang flashed through my mind, him smiling, us kissing, everything. I fell over and gave up. Zimo slowed down and walked over to me, both of us breathing heavily. Tears fell from my face and the pain kicked in. My head throbbed, my body shook rapidly and it hurt like hell. "He's gone.. H-He's actually gone. And there's nothing I can do, nor could I do.. I hate it.. I HATE THIS FUCKING FEELING!" I felt arms wrap around me and embrace me. "It's alright.. I know, it's hard.. But crying will only make it worse. You're gonna have to move on." I shook my head as my lips trembled. Rain poured down and we just sat there, hugging each other as I cried.
¤About two months later¤
2:21AM
While everyone was sleeping, I snuck outside. Thunder crackling outside. I was scared at first but I went to the door. "Leaving the house again..?" Zimo stood in front of the door, blocking my way. "You've gotta stop this, it's becoming a habit that is uncontrollable." I shook my head and went around him. He blocked me again and went to grab my wrists. I choked him and pushed him to the wall, "Don't. Fucking. Touch me." I let go, opened the door, and ran out again. "GET BACK HERE!" He ran outside and caught up pretty quickly. I ran across the road without looking and went on the path, Zimo followed quickly. I found somewhere that had a whole lot of traffic and ran right through it. Zimo managed to still catch up and he tackled me to the ground. "STOP THE NONSENSE, HE'S DEAD, ALRIGHT?! GET OVER IT!!" "I SAID DON'T FUCKING.. TOUCH ME!!" I pushed him off and continued running. I ran into a few people, them wondering what was happening. "XIAOSHI!!" "FUCK OFF!" I then heard another set of footsteps, they were quieter but faster. "STAY OUT OF THIS!" Zimo must've known the person. My throat started hurting again. I found myself on top of a building and continued running. I jumped from building, to building, but I just couldn't get the hooded person off my tail. I looked to my left and found an alleyway that looked like a maze. I memorized it and jumped down. My legs felt like they were about to come off but I kept running anyway. I saw that Zimo found me and he was in front of me. I took a right and another sharp turn. I felt the pain kick in again. I wanted to slow down but I didn't. I then felt a familiar connection flow through my body as the person got closer. I sped up and jumped over a car and fence before falling. I picked myself up but I was pushed to the ground again. "LET GO OF ME YOU CRAZY PERSON!!" I felt them kick my shin and I tripped them with my leg. I got up and ran again. Zimo caught up again and stopped me, Zimo was in front of me and the hooded stranger was behind. My body started shaking again, my legs wanted to give up but I ignored it, turned left and continued running. "DO YOU NEVER RUN OUT OF BREATH??!!" The hooded stranger only continued running after me. I finally lost the stranger as well as Zimo and continued running until I fell over and breathed harshly. My lungs and throat were full of cold air. I heard footsteps but my body could barely move. My body was aching, my head throbbed, it hurt to breath, and tears fell from my face. The thunder and rain made it worse. The stranger found me but only leaned against the wall and covered their face but I could feel their eyes locked onto me. A body of warmth embraced me once again.
