3 months later
Aaliyah's POV:
It's been 3 months since Jude and I last saw each other, but we text and FaceTime every day. I have had time to think about what I want to do in the future and I decided I wanted to study psychology at the University of Birmingham, I didn't want to move far from home and I just felt like I wasn't ready to live home l. I knew that I shouldn't just apply to one school because of the chances of me getting in were low so, Bella and I applied to the same schools and they were University of Liverpool, University of Manchester, University of London and University of Oxford. We both got into the University of Oxford, but the other ones rejected us except the University of Birmingham. Today is when we find out wether we got in and right now Bella and I are sitting in the living room with our parents, Ahmed and I have Jude on FaceTime. Our parents are currently filming us and they start a countdown,
Everyone: 3,2,1
Bella and I both opened the emails at the same time and started screaming
Lia: OH MY GOSH, I GOT IN
Bella: me too!
Bella and I hugged each other and I'm pretty sure we both felt relieved because we were very worried about the fact that one of us would get in and the other wouldn't. Everyone around us started congratulating us and telling us how proud they were. After everyone was done celebrating, we had dinner. Bella and her parents went back to their house and mum and dad went to bed, Ahmed went to his room so I went to my room too and FaceTimed Jude.
Lia: hey
Jude: hey
Lia: you okay?
Jude: yeah, just tired
Lia: well you have your last match of the season in 6 days, so you will have plenty of time to relax
Jude: that's true, do you have any plans for summer?
Lia: well I haven't really thought about it, since we close school on the 24th of June so there's nothing planned
Jude: okay good, I was thinking of inviting you on vacation to Croatia with my parents and Jobe for my birthday
Lia: yeah I'd love to
Jude: you are going to meet my dad for the first time
Lia: shit- I just remembered that I've never met your dad, to be honest I'm kinda scared of him
Jude: why, you've never met him
Lia: he's literally a police officer, he's definitely a very serious man
Jude: haha, don't worry he's very soft
Lia: he better be
Jude just looked at me and laughed until he finally asked me something
Jude: how's therapy?
Lia: it's good
Jude: is it helping?
Lia: yeah, my therapist is really good and she actually inspired me to become a therapist so I can help people struggling with the same battles
Jude: that's good, have you been eating
Lia: yes I have, and I haven't been struggling to get out bed as much as I usually do and I'm really proud of myself
Jude: I'm proud of you too, I'm so happy to see you doing better
Lia: thank you Jude, it really means a lot especially coming from you.
Jude: you're welcome
We kept on talking and I just couldn't help but stare at Jude and smile uncontrollably because he looked so cute when he smiled and I just couldn't help myself
Jude: why are you looking at me like that
Lia: looking at you like what?
Jude: you have stars in your eyes and can't stop smiling
Lia: haha, that's just because I'm looking at my amazing boyfriend
Jude: he's a lucky guy
Lia: no, I'm the lucky one
Jude: why do you say that?
Lia: nevermind
Jude: okay...
Lia: So...I just had an idea. since we are going to spend time with your family, do you want to go to Rwanda with me and my family after we visit Croatia
Jude: sure, it'll give us a chance to get to know each other's families
Lia: okay I'll just text my parents and I'll let you know
I texted on the family group chat hoping my parents were still awake, luckily they still were and mum responded. She said she had been thinking about going back home to visit her family, but she didn't really have time to go so maybe this would be a good opportunity for all of us. I was so happy that she said yes because it meant that I would get to spend time with my family that I hadn't seen in two years and Jude would meet my mum's side of the family.
Lia: she said yes
Jude: I can't wait to spend time with you
Lia: me too, i can't wait for you to meet my extended family
Jude: I'd love to meet them, but I can't help but feel nervous
Lia: hahaha, don't worry they're super chill
Jude: they better be
I looked at him for a second until I decided to say something
Lia: anyways
Jude: "anyways"
Lia: that is not how I sound like
Jude: well it is to me
Lia: nu uh🙄
Jude: you know you're very cute when you try to be annoyed
Lia: *cough* simp *cough*
Jude: how am I the simp, your TikTok username is literally judeswifeyy 🤨
Lia: well your fans don't know that it's me, they think I'm another fan girl
Jude: still doesn't take away the fact that you are the simp
Lia: whatever🙄
Jude just looked at me and smiled, I felt a thousand butterflies in my stomach I tried so hard to make sure he didn't notice I was starting to blush. I'm pretty sure he noticed but chose not to say anything
Lia: the season end on the 14th right?
Jude: yes, but I won't be able to come back home until the 21st
Lia: damn, I was really looking forward for you to come on the 14th
Jude: what do you mean, you'll be at school so it'll go faster than you think
Lia: no you're actually wrong, the days will go very slow
Jude: well I'll be there before you know it
Lia: promise?
Jude: I promise
We fell asleep on FaceTime, and I loved it when this happened. When we were on FaceTime, it felt like we had a lot of things to talk about. With Jude everything felt exciting and and I loved every minute of it.
Jude's POV:
It's been a few weeks since the season ended and I've been back home since then, Lia and I haven't really spent time with each other because she is busy with school and when she isn't busy with school she is either spending time with Bella or just doing other stuff. Today is Lia's last day of school and she's very excited, I'm going to pick her up from school and surprise her because I know how much she's been looking forward to this day. I am currently at her school right now and I have a bouquet of her favourite kind of flowers and a card that says "Congratulations, you made it!" A lot of students are coming out which means school must be over, so I text Lia to go outside

Jude: hey, can you go outside?

Jude: I have surprise waiting for you

Received today at 3:20pm
Lia had agreed to come outside and I got of the car so she'd see me, as soon as I did I put my cap on because I didn't want to get mobbed by Lia's classmates. I was wearing my palm Angels hoodie which Lia borrowed a lot so I had a high chance of her recognizing me. It took Lia about a minute but she finally recognized and started walking towards me, she had a huge smile on her face and I couldn't help but smile too.
Lia: hey
She said as she pulled me into a quick but soft kiss
Jude: hey, I got you these
I said as I gave her the flowers and the card
Lia: thank you, you know you didn't have to
Jude: yeah but I wanted to
She just smiles and opens the card, she hugs me and thanks me once again. Her face quickly changes from happiness to guilt in a matter of seconds, I notice that and ask her if she's okay
Jude: you okay?
Lia: yeah, it's just I have been spending a lot of time with Bella or doing my studies. And I haven't really made time for us and here you are doing a gesture for me that I probably don't deserve. I am really sorry for the past few weeks, I promise I won't let it happen again in the future
Jude: no it's okay, I get that you wanted to spend time with Bella and that you wanted to focus on your studies. So there's no need to apologize and I just want you to know that you deserve this.
Lia: thank you Jude
Jude: anytime
Lia and I get in the car and I drive her to her house, we are going to spend the afternoon together just relaxing. While she's inside changing I get a text from mum telling me that our flight is on the 26th, I responded to her and I waited for Lia. Once she came back I told her that our flight would be on Sunday
Lia: I haven't even started packing
Jude: well you have tomorrow and later tonight to do it
Lia: true, anyways what are we going to do
Jude I was thinking we could go out for ice cream and maybe later on to the park
Lia: sounds like a good plan, I'm in
Jude: okay

We just got our ice creams and we are just going back to the car
Lia: I still can't believe I'm done with secondary school, it all went by so slow yet so fast. Idk if you get what I mean
Jude: yeah I get what you mean
Lia: you know what else I like about you
Jude: what is it?
Lia: another thing I like about you is how you get me, not a lot of people do but you do and I really appreciate the effort you put into getting to know me
Jude: I mean I really like you, so I am going to put in a lot of effort to get to know you
Lia: how do you always know what to say
Jude: I don't, I just say what I feel is right for the conversation
Lia: interesting
Jude: do you actually find it interesting?
Lia: nah, I just didn't know what to say
I put my ice cream on her nose and she looked like she was about to fight me, she took her ice cream and then just applied it on my nose and cheeks
Jude: I only did it on your nose, there was no need to be this unfair
Lia: too bad
Jude: whatever, I'm going to clean my face
After we were done cleaning our faces we headed to the park, we sat on the swing set for about 4 or 5 hours just talking. When I was with Lia the time just went by so fast and I was too busy admiring Lia than to realize it. We only realized that it had been hours since we arrived at the park when we were the only ones left. We decided to head home because Lia was tired and she wanted to go to bed. I dropped Lia off at her house and I drove back to mine.
