It's ideal really, no one knows where I am and I'm so high up no one can see me. I had my headphones in blasting ice nine kills while sitting ontop of a building snapping pictures of the view.
It wasn't like I was going to jump but it's also not like I haven't thought about it.
I came here to think and occasionally take photos of the city, it was quiet, silent even. You couldn't even hear the city below me, I guess I'm just in pain; but I'm also not at the same time.
I felt restless but I was definitely not restless. I knew something wasn't right but I couldn't explain it. There are people out there who have it worse than me, I didn't have the right to be in pain and complain. I shouldn't be in pain but I ache so badly.
I was being selfish for attention but yet I didn't want it, i distanced myself from everyone and no I have no one like I wanted.
I lit a cigarette breathing it in and letting the smoke fill my lungs. At this point the cancer stick i held didn't even matter it was deadly but it couldn't kill something that was already gone..
"Smoking kill you know?" I was broke out of my thoughts by a new voice I didn't recognise, at least it wasn't someone looking for me. I set the camera down on my lap, it wouldn't fall considering I had the strap around my neck.
I looked over to the left to see a guy with long black hair with a beanie on his head, two lip piercings seeming to be on the same side and black makeup around his eyes. A cigarette hanging from his lips until he flicks it over the edge.
"That's like the whole point.." I mumble not taking my eyes off of the view in front of me. "Mind if I join you?"
"Be my guest," he scooted closer until he was sat beside me. "You're one of those right?"
"One of those?" I questioned. "The quiet kind, the one who doesn't feel like they fit in anywhere so they distance themselves until they feel like su*cide is the answer" my breath caught in my throat but i refuses to look at him.
"I'm not-"
"That's what I said.. until I found myself caught up in it all and it was too much for me." He says quietly, he seemed like a nice guy but I still didn't see the point in the conversation. "Why are you telling me this?"
"If you're anything like me you'd fit right in with my friends, will you come down and give it a shot?"
"Look- I don't know what your name is or who you are but I'm not going to jump. I'm fine I just wanted to be alone and take photos." I said almost frustrated.
"Wanted or needed to be alone? And I'm Ricky"
"Nice to meet you ricky, I'm y/n" he grinned taking the cigarette from between my lips, he took a single drag and flicked it off the building. "Why would you do that?!" He just chuckled and stood up, "what are you doing?!" I grabbed his leg though it wouldn't do anything.
He laughed and stepped backwards to safety, he pulled me down with him. "Are you insane?" I asked him seriously. "Aren't we all?"
"No because I wouldn't stand on the edge of a fucking building!" I followed behind him as he walked inside, considering we were on the top of a building he had to walk down many- many flights of stairs.
"Well you clearly didn't want me to jump and you don't even know me. You were willing to save me, and I'm willing to save you" I stopped walking while he kept going. "Why?"
He stopped and looked behind him with the same smirked playing on his thin lips. "Because you intrigue me, y/n. Now come on, we can't keep them waiting, I have a very busy schedule you know" He began to walk again, i was dumbfounded.
I followed after him nonetheless and held tightly onto my camera, once we finally made it down all the stairs we stepped out onto the busy streets. Outside was a group of people with similar makeup as Ricky and I.
"Y/n, these are my friends, we were going to grab something to eat but you are more than welcome to come with us"
"No thank you.. I'm gonna get going-" they all looked at me with inviting smiles but I didn't really want to go with them. "Well the offer is there and here's my number, call me." He handed me a piece of paper with number scribbled onto it.

"You're a strange one Horror," I call out as he walks away, he looks over his shoulder. "That's what the all say!"
And he was gone.
I intrigued him? He made me want to know more about him.. the small man was definitely something I've never seen before.
I snapped a picture of him before he was too far away and walked home with him on my mind.
