Y/N POV
I went to the school's exit as I noticed a small crowd of pupils forming at the door. Looking around to find out what was going on I spotted Nessa's boyfriend, Liem. As we locked eyes I began to tense up, in fear he'd know what I have done to Nessa. The boy approached me and as he did I froze. ,, Hey what's good'' he asked.
,, I'm good'' I responded while slowly nodding my head. ,, What's going on here?
,, I don't know, it seems like they're talking about why the principal decided to change the rule for the uniforms all of a sudden'' After Liem had said that my body relaxed partly.
,, Oh and have you seen Nessa somewhere? I have been looking for her but without success''
I shook my head no, not wanting to face the questions he might ask. After a couple of awkward seconds and a weird tension between me and Liem, he finally broke the ice. ,, Um would you like to hang out some time you seem cool''
I was about to answer when a familiar voice yelling my name rang in my ears. It was Miles and he looked angry. As he came closer, Liem backed off and faced the ground in response I narrowed my eyes at him confused.
,, I have been waiting for you where were you?'' Miles asked but I remained silent. He then turned to Liem and stared him into the soul.
,, Why the hell are you even asking her out don't you have a girlfriend?''
,, I do but can't I have female friends bro? Why would you even care?'' Liem replied.
Miles stayed quiet and I absorbed the situation silent but confused.
,, Are we going or not?'' was my question.
,, Yeah, follow me'' he responded and went ahead, my eyes followed the boy until he disappeared into the crowd.
,, I got to go'' I told Liem. He tried to hold me back muttered some words but as he noticed I hadn't understood anything he had said he let go of me and went to the dorms. I sighed and went after Miles.
Liem seemed like a nice guy but I didn't want to become friends with a boy who had a girlfriend. Besides how do I know that his attempt of becoming my friend wasn't some sort of plan with Nessa to set me up? No thank you I don't need that.
Miles brought me to the same café I had been to with my family.
We moved to a table next to the window since we both agreed working with natural light would be much better. I took a seat backing the window and Miles sat opposite of me. Putting a stack of my books on the table I got a few notifications from my phone, I checked to see that they were from Gwen.

MILES POV
She put a pile of books on the table and began texting someone. Ugh, I bet it was that Liem guy, I didn't like him.
Not only did he bully me for almost a year but also stole my ex-crush away from me.
Now I'm happy he did because Nessa would have been a real pain in the ass. As I said he bullied me for some time and I took it pretty bad.
But after the summer vacation, I had both a physical and mental glow up. I learned how to stand up for myself and gained a lot of confidence.
If Liem or his friends had anything to say against me I'd knew how to deal with them, which meant either to roast or fight them to death. So now they have learned to respect me and started keeping their distance from me.
,, Would you mind texting your loverboy after we finished?'' I asked the girl.
She looked up from her phone, stared at me with her E/C eyes, and seemed surprised.
,, Loverboy? I mean if Gwen is my Loverboy then go off I guess'' she said while laughing softly and I must say, her laugh was lowkey cute. For some unknown reason, I caught myself smiling a bit.

I stretched my arms while yawning. Dang who knew this would have been so easy with Y/N on my side? We still had a lot to do but I think we'll just continue for half an hour and then head home.
,, I'll go order something do you want anything?'' Y/N asked me a bit tired.
,, Nah I'm fine''
She just nodded and went to the counter. I haven't seen Gwen until now so I assumed she had a day off today. After some time had passed I saw spider-woman swinging around being chased by a creature unknown to me.
Without hesitation, I packed my stuff, made my way out of the café, and ran into an alley to change into my suit.
When I took off I realized I had left Y/N alone and she'd probably think I have ghosted her but I couldn't go back now, there were lives to be saved.
Y/N POV
As I came back, Miles was nowhere to be found. Anger grew in me as I realized he had left me behind. So he'll just pretend to help and then disappear?
I've had enough for today and decided to run off to a place I could feel like myself. Feel free.
Two nights ago, as my family and I were driving to this city I've spotted a place very good for throwing up something. I just had to let out all the emotions that have built up over the last 48 hours and express my feelings.
I ran out of the shop and went to the school for me to pick up my spray cans. Entering the dorm-room I noticed Gwen wasn't there anymore but didn't mind it and packed a bag, threw some dark clothes on, made my way to to the area.
It was an open place and since it wasn't dark I had to be very careful. I had many ideas to start so I did all of them. I truly felt relieved.
MILES POV
We were in some sort of laboratory, Gwen's unconscious and bloody body lying on the ground while I could still hold myself up but my vision was very blurry.
,, Already out spider-man?'' a robotic voice said. Then my spider-senses went off, telling me to dodge so I did. The thing tried hitting me with its arm from behind.
,, I haven't even started properly'' I answered weakly. Shooting some webs at the villain I swung him against the wall. After I assured myself he was knocked out I hurried to check if Gwen was okay.
I shook her a bit and whispered her name until her eyes slowly opened. A smile grew on my face but suddenly my senses went off again and I think Gwen's too because she quickly rolled us over behind a table.
Two robotic arms could have hit us. I stood up, trying my best to protect Gwen and fight our opponent.
After some time I was exhausted but that didn't stop me from fighting further. Sometimes I landed some good hits on the guy but so did he and that weakened my body a lot. I saw Gwen trying her best to get up but she struggled.
When two other figures joined the fight I decided to carry Gwen up and leave with all the power that was left in me. I took her to the only place I could think of, my home.
I knocked at the door plenty of times until my dad opened it up. Immediately my body tensed up, I hoped my mom would have opened the door.
*cough cough*,, Um, good afternoon Mr. Morales, is your wife at home?'' I questioned trying to sound older.
He frowned at first but as he saw spider-woman unconscious in my arms, he knew what was going on.
,, Yes she is, please come in'' he responded.
Rio came down the stairs hastily and rushed to Gwen.
,, I think she is in good hands here just make sure not to take off her mask please'' I said. My parents nodded their heads and I left the house.
Making my way back to school I tried figuring out an excuse as to why I had left Y/N alone without saying anything. I ran behind a trash can (aka you love <3) and changed out of my suit.
Standing at the traffic light I picked noticed of a girl standing beside me with dark clothes on and a packed backpack, the girl looked oddly familiar. She must have seen me glancing at her because she turned around.
,, Is something wro- Miles?'' Oh fuck it was Y/N.
I scratched my neck nervously. ,, Hey'' was the only thing I could bring over my lips.
,, Hey?! Is that the only thing you can say after you dead ass ghosted me?'' The traffic lights turned green so we continued walking.
,, Sorry'' I mumbled. She blinked at me frequently before shaking her head. Curfew has been active for a few hours so we needed to find a way to sneak in.
Unfortunately, that didn't work out due to me pushing a vase down which drove the attention of the security guard towards us.
,, You fucking idiot'' Y/N whisper-yelled.
The guard approached us and I froze. He was about 7 feet (~2m) away from us when I grabbed Y/N by her hoddie and yelled :
,, RUN!''
