2 years ago, Winter and I were driving around the city in the afternoon. We were talking about how we can earn and save money for our future. Then we saw this Cabin Cafe and decided to get some iced coffee, cause it was so hot and we were sweating so bad, even if the ac was on maximum. We got to the door and saw a sign that said 'hiring' and we immediately had an idea on how to earn money. The manager was also the owner and told us that we can only work on Wednesdays and Fridays. We hoped for everyday work, but I guess that's better than having no job at all. We got the job and Ms. Manuel soon treated us like her kids and we worked even harder to get a raise. That's also the reason why we're always the employee of the month.

I pressed my face on my palm as I waited for new customers to come in. I was on cashier duty while Winter was our barista for today.

"Darling, fix yourself up so you'll look presentable," Ms. Manuel or Margaret (as she would like us to call her than Ms. Manuel) said, tapping my shoulder.

"I can't stand all day, Margaret. There are no new costumers," I complained, frowning.

"Its part of your job," she eyed me behind her round glasses. Margaret was in her fifties. No kids, nor a husband. That's why she treated us like her own kids and we treated her like our mom.

"Can I sit for awhile? I promise I'll stand up when there are costumers!" I pleaded.

She didn't reply and just took a chair in the employee's room and placed it behind me.

I grinned and hugged her. "Yay! Thanks, Marge!"

"If only I don't treat you and Winter there like my own kids, I'd probably fire you both," she chuckled.

She really does love us.

"Love you, Marge!" I exclaimed.

"Dude, move your butt and let me sit too," Winter spoke, pushing me so she could also sit.

"Today is a boring day I must say," I admitted, resting my head on her shoulder while she did the same on my head.

"I agree. We have like-" she counted all the people inside. "-6 people here. We usually get around 20 people at this time,"

I nodded. "People might be busy right now,"

The cafe was a bit empty. We usually have a lot of people here, and today it seemed like we won't be getting much. The lack of people and noise made me sleepy, plus the cold temperature was very comfortable to the point that it got us too lazy to move.

Moments passed by, then a group of girls chatting outside got our attention. Thinking that we're having new people, we got into our positions. I fixed my apron and stood behind the cashier, ready to welcome the girls.

As soon as they got in, we recognized them immediately. Karina was the first one to got in, then the girls, and last was Lia. She was behind them all like a leader should do. They're like a wolf pack, Lia being the alpha and being left behind to look out for everyone.

Before Karina could order, I was pushed aside so harshly that I almost fell on the ground. I sent a glare at Winter who's staring dreamily at Karina. I nudged her with my body and she almost lost her balance, but she got a hold onto something. I grasped on the table firmly as she tried to push me again.

"Winter! I'm in charge here!" I grunted, trying to remove her hands off the cashier, but she didn't budge.

"My girlfriend is there, so not anymore!"

"I was put in this position, not you!" She pushed me so hard that I am now on the ground.

"Look at that then. Guess I'm in charge here now," she grinned evilly. "Hey, baby! What your order would be for today?"

I mocked her out of annoyance. I sometimes wanna pour hot water on her, I swear. I dusted my clothes as I gritted my teeth.

"You look beautiful as ever, Win," I heard Karina said in admiration.

"You look more beautiful as ever," Winter complimented back.

"No, you-"

"Just order, Karina!" I cried, sighing heavily. I'm gonna gag at their sweetness. The couple glared at me and I glared back like we were in a glaring competition. And if ever we were, I'd be the winner.

"Strawberry frappuccino large, 1 pump of caramel syrup, hazelnut syrup, and toffee syrup... And maybe you?" Karina giggled. Winter was joining her too.

I got a cup and was about to start making her drink, but it was snatched from my hand. "Excuse me?"

"What?"

"You took my place, and now you're taking it again?" I said, crossing my arms.

"She's my girl. I shall serve my girlfriend," I flicked her forehead. "The cashier is all yours, boo."

I rolled my eyes but didn't put up a fight. She's so stubborn that I could never win. The next in line was Giselle. "Hi, welcome to Cabin Cafe, I'm Yeji, what can I get you?"

"The Yeji, huh?" She smirked, glancing behind to make eye contact with Lia.

I sighed. "Can I just get your order?"

"3 matcha latte large and a cinnamon roll," she handed me the money and I gave her the receipt after punching the orders. Winter started making their drinks and that left me with the last girl in line.

My heart skipped a beat when I met a pair of light blue eyes, smiling at me. "Are you on the menu? Cause you look delicious,"

My cheeks turned red and I set my gaze on the computer. "Your order? NOW."

"Can I order you?" I looked her dead in the eyes, earning a laugh from her. "Iced coffee with vanilla syrup," handing her money, I grabbed it but she didn't let go.

"What are you doing? Let go," I tugged the money but her grip was firm.

"Only if you kiss me," she closed her eyes and puckered her lips.

This gave me time to notice her appearance today. Her hair was down, curled neatly; lips painted in Indian red, simple smokey eye makeup, and wearing their cheerleader uniform and our school's jacket. She was always beautiful, no doubt.

She opened one eye. "You're not gonna give me a kiss, are you?"

I tried not to smile. "Never in a million years," I said, looking amused.

Her pucker turned into a pout, and that did it. I let myself smile and she shoved her money in my hand, telling me to keep the change with a grunt as she walked to where her friends were. The tip was a little bit a lot and for a brief moment, it made me want to give her a kiss on the cheeks.

But no homo, of course.

Since she gave me a good tip, I should repay her. After all, I owe her. I took out a mango cake in the fridge and cut a slice. I put everything on the tray with their drinks and served it to them. Everyone's eyes were on me as I moved away from the slippery floor that I mopped awhile ago. I placed the tray on their table and gave the sliced cake to Lia. She studied me, confused why was there a cake.

"Just repaying you for the tip you gave me," I explained.

"I figured that," she said, assuming. Then she added, "there are like 4 cakes there, and you gave me this. Do you know mango cake is my favorite?"

"You always order that everyday at school, so I figured that you love it," I shrugged with a sheepish smile.

"But you barely glance at me,"

"Just because I don't look at you every time, doesn't mean I don't know what you're doing. My eyes roam around... Just not at your eyes," I admitted.

"Just kiss already, you guys," Giselle butted in.

"I don't know if you haven't noticed, but I'm straight like a spaghetti," I informed.

Giselle snorted. "So is spaghetti, until it gets wet," she smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "Just enjoy your drinks, ladies," I was about to turn away, but a hand grabbed my wrist. At first I thought it was Giselle, and my jaw clenched. But when I found out whose hand was that, I soften my jaw.

"Thank you for the cake," Lia offered a smile, beaming.

I averted my gaze, feeling something weird in my chest. "You're welcome."

Wanted to get away here fast, I turned quickly and walked faster. But since I wasn't focusing on where I was going, I stepped on the wet floor and tripped, falling on my face. Soon as I hit the ground, laughters were heard from the back. I quickly got back up to my feet and looked at them, cheeks burning in embarrassment.

"Are you okay?" Lia asked, looking worried. But she was biting her lips to stop herself from laughing.

"Maybe she needs a kiss to feel better, Lia," Karina said, clutching her stomach, laughing so hard along with the girls.

"At least you know that we cleaned the cafe," I said stupidly. I took the tray on the floor and tucked it in my side. I am now facing a laughing Winter, who has the same reaction like her girlfriend. You could say that they really do look perfect together.

Perfect to kill too.

"Oh, Yeji. What a show you did there," she said between her laugh.

"Haha. I'm happy you guys find it funny," I said, sarcastically.

"Oh, it's hilarious!" I whacked her on the head using the tray and that stopped her from laughing and it turned into wincing. Margaret then went out of her office and saw our situation.

"Yeji, have you mopped the floor already?"

And of course, that made Winter laugh... But this time she was guffawing. She answered for me, "she did. And she did a good job."
