"Two words," My best friend Winter said with a grin, suddenly appearing.

"Okay..." I trailed off, pushing my glasses back up as I continued to scribble down on my notebook for my homework.

"I'm hungry!" She screamed in my ears, making me wince. She let her backpack fall from her shoulder to the chair and sat down.

"Aren't you always?" I teased. She wiggled her eyebrows and ran a hand through her short messy dark hair.

"What are you writing?" She asked, craning her neck to see what I'm writing.

I lifted the notebook up to her face with a bored expression. "Mr. Pitts wanted us to make a poem,"

"Huh," She took the notebook from my hands to get a better view of it. "I'm guessing this is about your non-existent love life?"

I grabbed the notebook back and whacked her shoulder with it. "Just because you have a girlfriend, doesn't mean I have to be in a relationship too, dumbass," I rolled my eyes.

She laughed. "Then what is it about?" She took it back and continued to read my unfinished poem.

"Its about a girl who's lonely and wanting to be found. In the end, she was found by... love," I realized that it maybe was about my non-existent love life. I pouted at the late realization.

Winter chuckled at my pouty face, tapping my notebook on my head. "Don't worry, Yeji. You'll find a boyfriend soon."

"Or a girlfriend," A voice from behind us snorted. I closed my eyes and let out a groan. These two lovebirds just love to tease me about being gay. When in fact, I'm not. And I keep telling them that.

"You two will be the death of me," I gritted my teeth.

"Hey, babe," Karina kissed Winter on her cheek and sat beside her. "What are you doing there, Hwang?"

"She's making a poem about love," Winter answered for me as I kept writing and thinking for my poem.

"Love? You don't even know anything about it," Karina snickered.

I chuckled at her reply. It's true though. I may have been in a relationship once, but that doesn't mean that I know anything about love. Me and my ex-boyfriend only lasted for 5 months. We broke up after he came out as gay.

"Your life must be lonely. How sad," I glared at Winter who's laughing along with Karina.

I closed my notebook, making a loud clap. "Why am I even friends with you two?"

They both turned their gaze to each other, went back to me and they shrugged. "We don't know why we're friends with you," both of them laughed as I face-palmed myself.

"By the way, there's a party later tonight at 9 pm," Karina said, taking a bite of her sandwich.

Winter slammed her palms on the table, looking hyped as she heard the word 'party'. "Time to get drunk, bitches!"

"It's your turn now!" I snapped to Karina.

Okay, whenever there's a party, we always go. Not that I have or want to, but Winter loves to drink. And sometimes she gets drunk. As the supportive best friend I am and the supportive loving girlfriend Karina is, we always go too.

"Wait, I was the last!" She defended.

"No, I was. We were at Yuna's party and I was with Winter and she made a mess in Yuna's room, remember? Had to clean the mess up before Yuna got there," I recalled. Karina narrowed her eyes at me, trying to remember the last party we've been into.

Her eyes widened, remembering it now. "Dang, you're right."

"I love you guys! Thanks for always taking care of me when I'm drunk," Winter said.

Karina and I hugged her and told her that we'll always take care of her and love her. She always takes care of us when we're sick, so it's a win-win for us.

The bell rang and it was time for the next subject. Walking through the hallway on my way to the class, I recognized a few familiar faces.

I've started going here in JYP High since 7th grade along with my best friend. Karina and Winter started dating around Sophomore year and they've been together since.

Sitting in the middle of the class, I heard people squirming in their seats as the sound of high heels clicking on the floor came across the room. Looking up, I saw the queen bee of our school.

Lia Choi.

She's your typical mean girl that everyone's afraid of.

Unlike me, I'm not even scared of her. Not even close, not even a little bit... Not even at all.

Chuckling to myself as I made that reference from a movie that I love so much. All pairs of eyes were drawn to her while my eyes were busy trailing each letter that I was writing on my notebook.

A pair of pale legs came into view at the corner of my eyes. "Move."

"B-but I w-was here first," Maycee protested.

"You don't want me to say it again, do you?" She raised her eyebrow.

Maycee gathered her things and took the seat in front. With a victorious smirk, Lia placed her bag on the table beside my seat and sat down. I can smell her coconut scent from here, and it was good.

Our teacher passed us the worksheets by giving all the sheets to the person who's sitting in the front row, making them pass it to the person beside them. When the papers got to me, I took one and handed it to Lia. And instead of getting it all, she got one for herself.

I was about to open my mouth but she spoke, "Pass it to the person behind me, would you?"

I rolled my eyes and did what she asked.

She's unbelievable.

I watched her from the corner of my eyes as she scribbled down her name on the paper. Her freshly manicured nails tapping the table, bored expression written on her face.

She's called the queen bee for a reason. She is gorgeous. Her brown hair fell perfectly below her shoulders, though I could see some dirty blonde on her roots. She obviously dyed her hair. Her plump lips were painted by red lipstick, the light make up suited her.

"Have your parents ever told you that it's rude to stare?" She suddenly spoke.

I snapped out, feeling a bit embarrassed. A blush made its way through my cheeks.

"Who said anything about staring? I was-"

"Blown away by my beauty, I know," she smirked.

My mouth hung open. I couldn't believe the nerve of this chick. "No. Hell no. I was checking the art," I pointed to the abstract painting on the wall.

She glanced at the painting and scoffed. "Honey, I am the art."

"Art my ass. You know what? Just stop talking,"

"Gladly. You're just wasting my time," She complained.

"Back at you." I muttered as we put our attention to the lecture.

_

The party was just getting started as we parked Winter's Nissan Sentra infront of the house.

The house was huge. I don't even think house is a suitable word for it. It was a mansion! The style of the mansion was modern, and it stood out the most among the houses here. Also my house wasn't far from here and you can even just walk to here.

"I really don't know why Lia is your best friend," I said, closing the car door after I got out of the car. We were talking about her on our way here.

"Once you get to know her, you'll love her. She's a sweetheart, Yeji," Karina told me, hooking her arm to Winter's who's admiring the big house.

I snorted. But hey, I don't judge people that fast, so I'll give her a chance.

I wasn't sure if this was a normal party or what. Everyone dressed so casually, loud music was blaring, people playing beer pong, and yet, the place was clean. I'm impressed that no one was littering.

I don't know who owned this house, but it was a lovely home. The two lovebirds disappeared from my side and probably went to find some beer. Feeling thirsty, I found myself wandering in the kitchen, looking for something to drink besides alcohol. I never drink. Never tried it too.

"Are you looking for a drink?" A guy who's holding a box filled with empty cups questioned.

"Yes, but not an alcohol. Maybe juice or water, whatever will do," I pursed my lips into a smile.

"There are lemonade and other flavored juice on the counter." He nudged his head towards the counter in the dinning area that's full of filled cups.

I thanked him and took a cup, going away from the table and brought it up to my lips, but not before someone grabbed it from my hands. I went back to get one, but someone bumped me and the drink spilled over the floor. Sighing, I got another one.

A guy was looking at me, smirking as he waited for me to take a sip.

"You spiked this, haven't you?" I asked, blinking as his smirk grew wider. I handed him the drink. "You can have it." I added.

He took the drink from my hand and was going to give it to the girl dancing a few feet away from him. I walked to him, getting the drink and poured it all over him as I knew what he was about to do.

"If you spiked any more drinks, I'll find the owner of this house and make sure to tell them to kick you out!" I snapped. His eyes grew in fear as he scrambled away from the place.

Going back to the drinks again, I took the only one left, which was apple juice. My face scrunched up. I hate apple juice. But I was so thirsty so I had no choice but to drink it. Before I could drink Winter jumped out of nowhere, just wearing a bra.

"Yeji! There you are, thank God!" She tumbled a bit, but got a hold of herself.

"You're drunk!" I pointed out, chuckling.

"Me? Fuck no,"

"Where's your shirt then?"

She looked down and back at me with a sheepish smile. "Well would you look at that! Guess I am drunk then,"

I laughed, shaking my head at her ridiculous self. She eyed my drink and asked if she could take a sip. I handed it to her while someone bumped into me... Again.

"Sorry. A bit drunk," he slurred.

I watched him stumble his way to the dancing crowd, before turning my gaze to Winter who finished my drink.

"Oops. I got carried away." She giggled.

Well... There's goes my fourth drink.

"Winter, Yeji!" Karina screamed through the noise.

"What a bad babysitter you are," I said teasingly to Karina.

"Dude, my girlfriend took her shirt off and threw it at me and ran off," a laugh escaped my mouth.

"Well goodluck taking care of her," I gave her a salute.

"Are you okay by yourself?" Karina asked worryingly, grabbing my arm.

I nodded. "Go and have fun with Winter. I'll be okay, don't worry... Mom," she smirked and pulled Winter who's dancing along the music with her, smiling once more before vanishing into the crowded place.

I puffed out a breath, thinking why did they even ask me to go when they're gonna just ditch me anyway. I shook my head, proceeding to the stairs. The amount of people and the loud music made my head hurt so I decided to find an empty room... If there's one.

There's a door on my left as I went upstairs, hoping its available. Before I can grab the knob, I heard sounds that I shouldn't be hearing right now. My face morphed into disgust, making me go to the next door- which was also locked; I saw a sign in a beautiful handwritten cursive hanging on the next door that says, 'KEEP OUT!' I snorted and chose to go in if it's not locked. Exhaling through my mouth, I twisted the handle and it opened. I got inside and closed the door behind me.

The room was neat and everything was organized. The walls were painted in pastel colors, assuming that this was a girl's room. The 2 side lamps were lit, the duvet on the queen sized bed was a bit messy. It was cold inside the room. I checked if the ac was on, and it was. A coconut scent reached my nose, making me remembered Lia's scent earlier.

I flopped down in the middle of the bed and ducked under the duvet. I plugged my earphones in and played a random song.

I was doing fine for a couple of minutes, bobbing my head to the beat as I read an ebook that I bought last Christmas. I've been wanting to buy the book of Anna Kendrick, but it's always out of stock. Then the door opened and a figure of a girl came into view. I pulled my earphones out, ready to shoo whoever went in.

"Uhm, this room is occupied," I called out.

"I can see that." She went closer to the edge of the bed and I got a chance to see who it was.

Lia Choi.

The meanest, rudest, baddest bitch of all.
