"Okay now, all you have to do is a twist in the screw and- Yes! There you go, you've done it I'm so proud of you!" my mother put a comforting arm around my shoulder as we watched the mechanical butterfly take flight above us
I smiled widely at the bronze machine "one day I want to become an inventor just like Father was. that way you can have all the butterflies you want" I told her and she kissed my cheek in response.
"And someday. you will."
End of flashback
I cupped the rusty butterfly in my hand and quickly put it away as I noticed Caitlyn beginning to talk with the girl
"I took a look at your file. There's no record of you or your crimes. What are you here for?" Caitlyn interrogated the girl
"My sunny personality." She spoke with sarcasm with made me laugh a little
"Y/n, keep it professional, please. You attacked an inmate. Why? " said Caitlyn
"Why not?" The muscular women questioned
"He was a witness in an ongoing investigation." I piped up
"Hmm, bummer," she replied bluntly
"This was a waste of time." Caitlyn doubted and tried walking away
"Couldn't have put it better. Hey, give Silco a kiss on that winning eye of his, will you?" she asked impolitely
"Silco?" I asked as i remembered the familiar name and Caitlyn came waltzing back
"Okay, this is getting old. Can you just send in whoever's gonna kick the shit out of me, so I can get on with my night?" The woman paced across her cell
"Does this mean anything to you? My friend here recognises the photo too maybe you could-" Cait was cut off when the girl slammed her fist on the cell and clutched onto the bars
"Where did you get this?" She spoke softly
"Her question first. Stop talking." I cut her off and let Caitlyn speak "He worked for Silco?" She asked
"Uh, they all do. How can anyone not know that? Where did you find this?" She flooded us with questions
"There was an attack. This is evidence. We need proof if we're to believe what you're saying about Silco." Cait explained
The girl scoffs "I could get it for you. Just not from in here."
"And what makes you think we can trust you?" I put my face up against the bars to look up at her tall figure.
"Trust someone like me? You enforcers are all the same. Just asshole criminals in fancy uniforms. You know what? Find Silco yourself." The woman scoffed.
"We will, thank you for your consideration." I smiled at her with sarcasm and grabbed Cait's arm
"Hmm... Undercity's gonna eat you alive." She mocked
"You think I don't know what it's like down there. It was my home before they let me become a part of piltover." I spoke back to her and put my face to the bar again this time inches apart from the girl and she looked at me with wide eyes
Before she could talk Cait uttered
"Y/n what the fuck are you talking about? You told me you were always from piltover?" She looked at me "We'll talk about this another time okay." I muttered
time skip
"Look we've got orders from Councilor Talis, concerning Inmate 516." I slammed the paper on the desk
"Not cooperative, huh?" He chuckles "You, uh, you want us to have a chat with her?"
"No. Oh. It's for her release." Caitlyn stammered
"Huh. Since when's he a Councilor?" He asked
"Since today, duh" I mocked him
He scoffed at me
"How many chats have you had with her?" Cait piped up
"You know, I never even thought to count."
time skip
The train bell dings
Caitlyn held the map in her hand "I heard the bathysphere has a nice view. That could be a good way to get a lay of the land."
"Too risky." The girl looked to me "This chick looks like she knows how to play. You up for a little one on one?" she smirked
"Oh your on-" I spat back at her and jumped off the edge
we jumped buildings and swung around corners and realised how much she resembled Violet. her pretty pink hair and her blue eyes.
"Quit staring at me. you'll fall." she mocked me
"you might want to shut the fuck up before I push you off the edge." I quarrelled at her
we looked at the neon building in front of us and jumped down to the ground
once we jumped down to the ground we were noticed by a man who walked towards me and twirled a piece of my hair around. I grabbed at his throat and let the girl do the talking
"Nice jacket," she said and punched the guy in the face whilst I swung at the woman behind him with a broken metal pipe. and before we knew it they were both knocked out cold.
"I'd say we make a pretty decent team cupcake." she walks past me and brushes her fingers across my face which made my face heat up
"C'mon let's go for a little walk." she motioned me to her
"But my friend-" she reduced my sentence
"Yeah, who's slower than an elderly woman. now c'mon"
Time skip
we walked around Zaun for a while sitting in an awkward silence
"so....what was life like for you in Zaun cupcake?" she asked me
"It had its fair share of enjoyable and unenjoyable. My parents passed away when I was around 9 and was taken care of by a Nice man who had other kids with him too. we stole and stuff and that's kinda what lead me to be a part of piltover." I chuckled
I started to feel more comfortable with her
"hold on. you stole and they let you into their city? please explain" she was confused
"well, something happened with Zaun remember? Vander died and I was all alone. I tried sneaking my way into piltover because someone was after me but I was caught. I told them the truth and they kept me in a cell for a good 5 days before they figured out what they wanted to do with me. they made me an enforcer despite many people's protests, Professor Heimerdager gave me another chance to give myself a better life which kinda did but deep down I guess I'll always be a part of Zaun."
"you remind me of someone I know-" she said
"same! I had a friend like you with pink hair and really pretty eyes and had a little sister. you would have loved this girl-"
"Y/n?" her voice broke
"how do you know my?- oh god..." I stopped talking and was engulfed with the tightest hug
"i-i thought I lost you. I thought you died." Violet had tears in her eyes.
I pushed her off of me "No. NO! you can't get to do that to me! you LEFT me all by myself. Powder disappeared and I was left with the guilt of losing a vulnerable little girl who happens to be your sister. Violet."
My heart broke down inside because I knew deep down I still loved her but I also didn't want to give her the satisfaction after leaving me. I began to cry hard. this was the first time in a long time since I was this upset. it felt good in a way.
"No no, I would have never left you. you and powder were everything to me. they took me away to prison before you could get to me. I promise I won't ever leave you again." she said softly which caused me to think about everything I assumed. I hugged her for the first time in 5 years and it felt like all the weight and trauma I had were gone.
Caitlyn came running around the corner
"where the hell have you been? I've looked everywhere for you two." she asked panting and looking over at the two girls clutching onto each other "did I miss something...or?" Caitlyn said with a little bit of jealousy braided in her voice
"Jeez my little sister could do all that climbing when she was 12," vi said letting go of me but still keeping her hands on my elbows
I handed Cait a scarf "Here. to blend in"
time skip
"Oh, Jericho! Have I missed these." Vi devoured the food in front of her
Vi puts a piece in front of Caitlyn "Hmm?"
"No. Thank you." She politely declines
And Vi decides to shove one in my face laughing
"Miss this y/n? Remember we'd have them with powder and the others." She pulled up a chair for me and sat me down
"Yeah. Feels just like old times" I put the tentacle in my mouth and I melted at the taste "oh yeah. Definitely still my favourite food."
"You're missing out," Vi said to Caitlyn
"Are you going to question him?" She consulted
"About what? The meat? Definitely not above board." She joked which made me smile
"Silco. His connections? Isn't that why we're here?" Caitlyn grew frustrated
"We're here because I'm hungry. And because I think it's time you let my girl get back to her old self. Do you know what prison food is like too? No, of course, you don't."
"Unbelievable. I didn't break you out of jail to eat... slop and flirt with my partner. I knew this was a terrible idea. You don't actually know anything, do you?"
"Mm. Better than I remember." I hummed and dipped the food into some sauce
Caitlyn buzzed.
time skip
We knock on the door
Caitlyn clears her throat and Vi nods to the guard
the lock clicks and we are granted an entrance
"The one place all the secrets are spilled." Vi's voice echoed down the hall giving me goosebumps
"I promised myself I'd never go in here as a teen but here I am" I whispered to Cait
"What is this place?" she whispered back
I replied "Basically if you wanna get laid or flirt with a bunch of horny people this is the place to go to. wouldn't mind having a bit of fun myself actually"
"I can always help you with that cupcake." Vi butted into the conversation
"stop engaging in the flirtatious comments y/n we are trying to solve a case!." Caitlyn yelled "I can't watch this I'm going to ask around the place if they know anything about silco" and she walked off leaving me and Vi alone again.
"How exactly do you propose we go about this?" I asked
Vi responded, "Let 'em think you work here."
"Excuse me? I will not. as much as I want to get laid I don't wanna work here." I demanded
"You know what your problem is?" Vi walked over to me fuck here we go
"Please. Tell me." I laughed
"You expect everyone to give you what you want with that "gentle" personality of yours. If you really want people to talk to you, you have to let them think you have what they want. Jeez Piltover made you completely forget Zaun."
"But I always get what I want." I joked
"And anyway what do I have?" I spoke again
"You're hot, cupcake. she put her arm against the wall next to my face making my knees go weak "So what'll it be, man or woman?"
"I think it's pretty obvious-" I managed to get out before being cut off
"Hi. I'm Pim. What's your name?" a man with a mask came by to us
"Elodie. But you can call her whatever you want." she motioned to me and I gulped
"Ah, yes. Elodie. My Mother named me Elodie. After my aunt Elodie, the, uh... Would you believe it?" I smiled awkwardly
"I uh- gotta go to the bathroom." I ran out of that situation fast. I was never good at talking to guys who were into me
as I walked along the corridor I saw Caitlyn flirting with a girl in one of the booths with made me happy for her.
just then a girl with purple hair tapped my shoulder "you wanna have some fun in my booth over there honey" she asked and since she was pretty and I knew I had to do something I followed her
I sat on one of the couches with 5 other girls surrounding me. touching my body as if I was something extraordinary they have never seen before. and for some odd explanation, I really liked it. it felt a lot more natural to me than talking to boys around here.
Vi opened the curtain
"damn y/n. Maybe I did always have a shot. c'mon i got more info." she shooed everyone off of me and dragged me out of the room
"what do you mean by that-" she pulled me out of the room full force and walked out the door

we looked at the bulky woman in front of us the woman who betrayed Vander

Sevika gets kneed hard in the face
she groans and clutches her jaw "Vi? Y/n?"
"You filthy traitor!" I screamed at her as I pulled out a switchblade from my pouch.
"Vander had his chance." Sevika grinned and punched vi around the head
she took off her cloak to reveal a mechanical arm with the same substance Vander used to fight off that monster many years ago. Shimmer
Vi took off her jacket and I took off my scarf
punches and kicks were being thrown back and forth by the three of us. I was never a skilled puncher so I mostly used objects like my switchblade and loose bricks that had broken sevika's nose.
she twisted vi's arm
"I see you never learned patience," Sevika spoke and punched her around the stomach
"don't you fucking touch her you traitor!" I charged towards the woman and punched her in the throat but she stabbed my stomach and flung me across the floor in which I clutched my side in pain and groaned
Vi saw this and immediately started punching back at her and pinned her against the hard concrete floor
Vi yelled "Where's my sister? Where's he keeping her?"
"Keeping her? You mean Jinx? She works for him."
Violet gasped
Sevika got close to her ear "She's like his daughter."
"No..." I managed to get out
but at the very last moment, Vi was slammed to the ground and miserably defeated
"I'll give her your regards." Sevika was ready to punch Vi in the face when a gunshot was heard and the bullet flew into her automated arm
Caitlyn came to our rescue
"Why did you let her go?" vi blurted out
"Do you ever say "thank you?" Cait asked
"He's gonna know we're here now," Vi replied negatively
"Whose fault is that? oh god, what happened to y/n? I leave you guys alone for 10 minutes and now she's passing out again?" Cait worried
"shit" Vi remembered and saw her friend lying on the ground and ran to her and put her arm around her waist for support
I tried pulling away from her i can walk on my own
"You gonna let me help you cupcake?" Vi looked to me
"stop calling me that..." i groaned
"Oh. But your so sweet. Like a cupcake"
a/n: damn this one was a little mature than the others and wow the last line is making my dirty ass mind fly through the roof. this one probably sounds really bad but eh I'll work on it at some date
anyway, I might not be posting till Friday due to school and exams so yh sorry but if I can post this week I'll definitely try :) thank you sm for reading this story
