3 weeks later ...
Omniscient

"Wake up beautiful," Justice whispered in Naala's ear. "Today's a big day," He kissed her face and rubbed her back to get her to wake her up.

"Justice please leave me alone," Naala mumbled pushing her face further into the pillow.

"But today's Monday," He said with his hand on her back.

"Monday?" Naala sat up quickly, "Are you going to come with me?" She searched his face for answers.

"If you want me to," Justice shrugged,

"I do," Naala nodded getting up. "My kids will be there?" She asked hopefully.

"I'm pretty sure they will be," Justice smiled when her eyes filled with happiness. "Get up, there's breakfast," He said patting her leg.

"You made it?" Naala squinted throwing the comforter off her.

"No, the chef did," Justice replied sheepishly, "If it's not good, I'll get him to make something else," He rushed out.

"I'm sure it'll be fine," Naala huffed tying her hair up.

"Here," Justice rushed to her side and helped her put on her Versace robe.

"I'm not a baby, I can get dressed on my own," Naala complained when he started helping her put her slippers on.

"My queen doesn't do anything on her own," Justice mumbled with his hands on her waist.

"Alright that's enough," Naala said softly making him move his hands. She told him about her boundaries and making her feel useless.

"Ready?" He asked holding his hand out for her.

"Mmm," Naala hummed taking his hand and letting him lead her out to the dining room. The table was set and there was different types of breakfast food scattered across it.

"Ma'am," The chef nodded at Naala when he came into contact with her.

"Call me Naala, I tell you every morning" She mumbled taking a seat at the table. Justice tucked her chair in before going to the other end of the table.

"Your smoothie," The chef said placing it in front of her. "This morning it's mango, strawberry and pineapple,"

"My favorite fruits," Naala raised a brow at Justice.

"I don't forget things," He said sipping his coffee. "Eat up, it starts at 11," He reminded her.

"Right," Naala nodded slowly. "And my meds?" She spoke looking at him.

"In the smoothie ma'am," The chef cleared his throat.

"You have this all figured out huh?" Naala said to Justice,

"Is that not okay?" He asked quickly. "Arthur change it," He snapped at the chef.

"No it's fine," Naala said putting her hand up. "Perfect actually," She said tasting the smoothie.

"What can I get you ma'am?" One of the servers said holding up a plate for Naala.

"Justice," Naala said before yawning. She took another sip of her smoothie while Justice listed off everything she could eat.

"Thank you," Naala smiled when they placed the plate in front of her.

They are in silence while Justice read a newspaper. Naala had her itinerary in front of her but she could barely concentrate on it.

"Where's Maniya?" Naala asked looking up from her iPad.

"With that sorry ass boyfriend, excuse my language," Justice mumbled placing his newspaper down.

"She's allowed to see him but I can't see my children?" Naala asked angrily. Justice raised a brow at her tone of voice.

"Sorry," Naala corrected herself quickly. "Why is she allowed to see him?"

Justice nodded and took a sip of his coffee before he addressed her again. "I can trust her, can I trust you Princess?"

"I'm not hungry anymore," Naala pushed her plate away from her.

"Naala don't get up from this table," Justice spoke simply. He was gentle with her but didn't take kindly to disrespect.

"I said I'll take you to see them today didn't I?" Justice spoke, his voice soft.

"Mmhm," Naala nodded her eyes filling with tears. Justice sighed and stood up walking over to her.

"I miss them," Naala cried softly. He used his fingers to wipe her tears and lifted her out of the seat.

"I'll sort it," Justice spoke in her ear. "Have I let you down before?"

"No," Naala shook her head putting her face in his neck. He held her tightly and rubbed her back.

"Are you done with your breakfast?" He asked when she wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Mmhm," Naala hummed not lifting her head up.

His phone rang in his pocket making him clench his jaw. He was with his Princess, business was off limits.

"Answer it," Naala sniffed looking at him. "I know you want to,"

"Not when I'm with you," Justice shook his head. Naala tutted and reached into his pocket and handed him the phone.

"My angel," He said pecking her lips before she could protest.

"Put me down," Naala said with her hand on the back of his head.

Justice did just that and answered the phone, using his other to wrap around her waist.

"What is it? I'm busy," Justice grumbled, his entire tone changing.

Naala left him to talk on the phone while she walked into the kitchen with her smoothie in hand.

"I'll deal with that," A server said putting their hand out for the glass.

"You don't have to," Naala smiled putting it on the side.

"Please, I don't want to get in trouble," The girl fretted, with fear in her eyes.

"With Justice?" Naala chuckled. "I'll deal with that," She joked.

"Mr Parker likes you," The girl responded, "You're not like the others,"

Naala didn't know what that meant but maybe it was a good thing. Justice's voice started to get closer until he was right behind her.

"So then send the shipment out, why are you bothering me about it?" His voice boomed through the kitchen. Naala jumped from the sound his voice.

"I'm sorry," He said kissing the top of her head. "Can you just sort it out?" He whisper yelled into the phone and hung up.

"I'm sorry," Justice repeated tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Should I make a lunch to go today Sir?" The chef said interrupting them.

"What do you wanna do?" Justice asked Naala, "You'll come to the church with me?"

"Yeah then we see my babies?" Naala questioned blinking at him.

"Yes, I promise," Justice spoke stroking her face. The chef and the servers looked at them in confusion, Naala looked very young and Justice was a 49 year old man.

"I'm gonna go and get ready," Naala said excitedly. Justice smiled at her excitement and let her go, a waft of her perfume drifting off with her.

"Why are you still standing around?" Justice snapped at the workers. "Y'all forget yourselves when she's around," He shook his head walking out.

~~

"Mr Parker said he had to leave," Naala's new assistant told her.

"Really?" She answered slipping her heels on. "What car did he take?"

"The Escalade ma'am," Her assistant responded. "Should I tell the driver to come back?" She asked bringing out her phone.

"No, we'll take the Maybach," Naala mumbled putting her jewellery on. "How many meetings do I have before I see him?"

"Two, one with the mayor and another with Eva Carmichael, I'm not sure who that is," Leila replied looking up from Naala's diary.

"What does she want to see me about?" Naala complained picking up her purse.

"She didn't say, I can cancel?" Lelia offered taking Naala's purse from her.

"No it's fine, does my hair look okay?" She asked fluffing out her curls. She went curly because Justice liked when her hair was curled.

"Perfect," Leila smiled, "It suits you this way,"

"Thank you," Naala smiled. She took one last look in the mirror before she left the room, Lelia following behind her.

Joy was in the foyer, waiting for Naala to come down the stairs.

"Naala," Joy said lowly, she didn't know how to approach this.

"Funny seeing you here," Naala spoke with a smile. "Leila do you know Joy?" She asked teaching the bottom of the stairs.

"She used to spend time with Mr Parker," Leila answered awkwardly.

"So in other words they were fucking," Naala raised a brow.

"I wouldn't say—"

"Leila no need to lie, were they having sex?" Naala repeated looking to her.

"I believe so ma'am," Leila mumbled, her cheeks going red.

"Naala I can explain," Joy said shaking her head. Naala looked at her and chuckled,

"Explain what? I'm glad you were keeping him company," She said sarcastically. "Now I've got to go but make yourself at home," She added with a smile.

What disgusted Naala the most was that Joy was the same age as their daughter.

As soon as she left the house, her new security standing to attention straight away. Justice wasn't taking any chances, Naala didn't leave the house without a truck full of security.

"Good morning," Her driver said pulling the door open for her.

"What's so good about it?" Naala mumbled getting into the car. Leila waited until Naala was situated before she sped walked to the other side and got in.

"You also have your daughters recital at 11," Leila said to Naala.

"I know, that's what I'm looking forward to," Naala nodded. She hadn't seen her older children since she left London. She got to see the twins twice a week after a lot of begging.

Dave would bring them to the house and they would have no direct contact.

The drive down to Naala's office was short and uneventful. Her security did a sweep of the building while she waited in the car.

"All of this is so unnecessary," Naala complained watching them check every crevice of outside the building.

"For your safety ma'am," Her personal security officer answered her.

"It's bullshit," Naala mumbled fiddling with her watch. "I'm already late for my first meeting,"

"I've pushed it back slightly. You've not had your morning coffee," Leila said softly before the car door opened.

A whiff of Justice came into the car and Naala could only sigh.

"What are you doing here?" Naala asked Justice when he took her hand.

"I thought I'd come with you today," Justice said pulling her dress down. In other words; he didn't feel comfortable leaving her on her own.

"Justice you don't have to follow me everywhere," Naala huffed intertwining their fingers. "You think I'm not capable?"

"You're more than capable baby, I just wanted to be around you," He said lowly, his hand on the small of her back.

"I'm at work," Naala replied with a small smile. "I don't come to your office unannounced,"

"Now we both at work," He responded walking beside her closely.

"The mayor cancelled, so you have Eva upstairs," Lelia told Naala walking on the other side of her.

"Great," Naala mumbled flipping her hair over her shoulder.

They entered the elevator and Justice towered over Naala, "I love the curls," He said pulling a strand of her hair lightly.

"Mmm just for you," Naala responded looking up at him. Leila couldn't help but ease drop on their conversation.

"I love it. My pretty Princess," He said pulling her closer.

"You do?" Naala grinned when he leaned down to kiss her. "You want me to have it like this more often?"

"All the time," He said squeezing her ass,

"You were sleeping with Joy?" Naala muttered, she suddenly remembered that piece of information.

"Not really," Justice lied, he could see that Naala was not happy about it.

"Not really?" Naala repeated turning to him. "Justice you were fucking her, that's disgusting," She frowned at him.

Leila looked over at them discreetly, wondering how Justice was going to react.

"What's going on Princess? Why does that matter?" He said lowering his voice and stepping closer to her.

"Because she's 19 years old," Naala snapped. "Younger than our baby," She said quietly.

That alerted Leila because there was no way they had a child together, Naala was far too young and the only person she knew of was way too old.

"Can we not argue?" Justice mumbled holding her hand. "I'm not having sex with her any more,"

"Yeah you better not be," Naala replied with an eye roll.

"Calm down Princess, I'm sorry," Justice said rubbing on her. "You forgive me?" He said lifting her chin up.

"Maybe," Naala said trying not to smile.

Justice sucked his teeth and kissed her lightly before deepening it. Naala pushed him back and wiped her lips,

"We're not alone," She said referring to Leila who was also in the elevator with them.

They stayed cuddled up in the elevator till it stopped at Naala's floor.

"Governor," Eva gushed as soon as she set her eyes on Naala.

"It has a nice ring to it," Justice said with a bright smile.

"Eva, nice to see you," Naala lied handing Leila her purse.

"Even better now that you're governor," Eva spoke before looking towards Justice attached to Naala's hip.

"This is my —"

"Justice Parker," He pulled his suit jacket down and introduced himself. Eva looked him up down and couldn't help but gaze at him.

"Bishop Parker, you're extremely handsome in person," Eva giggled blushing hard.

"Ah you come to Heartland?" Justice said mentioning the church he owns.

"Every Sunday Bishop," Eva gushed at him.

Naala fluttered her eyes between the both of them before she started to walk towards her actual office.

"Are you a friend?" Eva asked twirling her hair around her finger. Her eyes drifted to their hands together and she raised a brow.

"Not a friend," Justice chuckled deep from his belly letting the ladies step into the room first. "This is my First Lady," He said to her.

"Oh, First Lady too," Eva nodded with a surprised look. "You run everything don't you. First the city, now a church,"

"That's my First Lady," Justice spoke before Naala who remained silent.

Leila sat in the corner and brought out her laptop, finishing work for Naala.

"This was a surprise," Naala spoke letting Justice take her jacket off for her.

"I wanted to congratulate you in person, I couldn't reach you," Eva said crossing her legs and watching Justice tend to her.

"Thank you but you didn't need to make this trip," Naala answered putting her hands on the desk.

"When will move into the governor's office?" Eva asked with a hint of jealousy.

"I've arranged the move," Justice spoke for her sitting in one of the chairs beside Naala's desk. "Everything should be done by next week,"

"Why?" Naala asked looking over at him.

"We'll talk at home," Justice said not looking in her direction.

"Do you even know what I want to take with me?" Naala questioned angrily.

"At home Naala, I'm not going to say it again," Justice said a bit more sternly. "Actually Eva, can I have a moment with her?" He asked nicely.

Leila watched his glare and also stood to her feet leaving the room with Eva. As soon as the door shut, Justice got up and stood in front of her.

"What have I told you before?" His voice boomed through the office. "First in the elevator now here. Don't undermine me," He shouted.

"Justice I'm sorry," Naala apologized looking up at him. "All of this is new to me," She added.

"Do I disrespect you Princess?" He asked tilting his head.

"No," Naala whispered as he got closer. He leaned down to her level and tilted her head upwards.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you," He said quietly. Naala looked him in the eye and the look of sadness broke down his barrier.

"I'm sorry for shouting," He said quickly. "Don't cry beautiful," He sighed when she started to tear up.

Her emotions were everywhere due to everything going on.

"I hate when you speak to me like that," Naala sniffed putting her head down.

"I know I know, I'm sorry," He apologized once more. "Remember today's a good day, you get to see your kids. I don't want you upset today,"

"Remember what I tell you?" Justice said rubbing her leg.

"You saved me," Naala nodded. "You took us out of a bad situation and you've made me whole again," She recited.

"That's right," Justice smiled showcasing his straight white teeth. "I made you whole again, without all that silly rubbish he fed you,"

He had convinced Naala that her mental illness was not real, he had been giving her placebos in place of her medication, meaning she thought she was taking something.

"You made me whole," Naala repeated with a small smile.

"So stop crying," He whispered in her ear before kissing it. "I don't like being angry with you in front of company," He referred to Eva and Leila.

"It was my fault, I'll apologize to them," Naala replied wiping her face.

"Good," He said with his hand on her thigh. "Now give daddy a kiss," He said with a smile.

Naala leaned forward and pecked his lips. "Thank you," She said holding his hand.

"Always," Justice replied playing with a strand of her hair. "Ah before I forget," He said sliding a stack of papers towards her.

"What's this?" Naala asked putting her reading glasses on.

"Our new start," Justice responded as Naala read 'Petition to Divorce'.

Dave's name was already signed at the bottom causing her to pause.

"He signed it this morning," Justice said from beside her.

"Oh," Naala breathed out. "I'm not sure about signing this Justice," She looked at him.

"I got you out of a bad situation. This is the bad situation," Justice spoke softly squeezing her hand. "I want us to move on, together,"

Naala listened to his words and everything was telling her that she needed to sign those papers.

"You don't feel safe around him remember?" Justice said in her ear.

"I don't feel safe around Amir?" Naala questioned confusedly.

"Because he hurts you," Justice nodded. "He constantly hurts you and lies to you,"

"He does hurt me," Naala muttered, "All the time,"

"So sign the papers baby," Justice replied watching her intently.

"You made me whole again," Naala mumbled picking up her pen and signing the dotted line.

"There you go," Justice smiled kissing her lightly. "Now we what?"

"We move on," Naala said softly leaning into him. "You saved me,"

"I saved you from him," He nodded holding her tightly. "I won't let him hurt you anymore," He added. Justice reached in his pocket and pulled out a red box.

He opened it up and exposed a 50 carat diamond ring, worth more than 2 million dollars.

"This is our new start," He said sliding the ring onto her finger.

"Justice," Naala pouted looking down at her hand. The ring almost blinding her.

"Only the best for my queen," He said kissing her cheek. He stood up and straightened his suit jacket.

"I'll tell Eva that you've got another meeting, I want to take you somewhere," Justice said taking her hand and helping her stand up.

"Then to the recital?" Naala said taking her glasses off.

"I promise," Justice reassured her, guiding her out of the office.

~~

Naala stared down at the ring on her finger as Justice conversed with someone on the phone. The recital was cancelled with of course upset Naala so she wanted to go home.

The only time she got to see them, was ruined and she didn't feel good about it.

"I can't leave the country right now," Justice spoke into the phone, his arm tightly wrapped around Naala's waist.

They were in bed together, while Naala watched Real Housewives.

"I'm with my wife that's why Chris, don't question me," Justice shouted making Naala look up at him.

"I'm watching something," She whispered. Justice nodded and kissed her head lowering his voice slightly.

Her eyes were stuck on the screen when Justice came off the phone and pulled her closer.

"You're always on the phone," Naala commented not looking away from the screen.

"It's business, I can turn my phone off now," He said sheepishly, putting his phone on silent.

"Thank you," Naala sighed reaching over for her glass of water.

"Tell me what's happening," Justice said holding her.

"These are old episodes but Candiace just told Ashley that her marriage is fake," Naala explained with her head on his chest. "You know Michael," She said to him.

"The bald guy? Ain't he gay?" Justice mumbled playing in her hair.

"Bae," Naala laughed at him. "You want me to change it?" She asked when his laughter died down.

"If you enjoy it, I love it," Justice replied rubbing her butt.

Naala smiled and took her popcorn bowl off the nightstand and put it on his lap, eating some of it.

"I like her," Justice commented when Karen came onto the screen.

"She's the grand dame," Naala muttered watching Ashley and Candiace argue.

"She's messy but I like her," Justice said about Giselle.

"That's your type?" Naala questioned him,

"You're my type," He whispered moving the popcorn and kissing her lightly. "No one else but you," He said lowly.

"Mmm," Naala hummed focusing back on the television trying to ignore the pulsing sensation down below.

"Are you hot? I'm really hot," Naala said fanning herself slightly.

"I'm not," Justice mumbled against her skin, using his fingers to run up and down her exposed legs.

Justice rubbed her ass in circular motion while peppering her neck with kisses. Naala tilted her neck to give him more access and threw her leg over him.

"Please," Naala panted, all hot and bothered.

"What do you want?" He asked when Naala started to moan lightly.

"You," Naala exhaled rolling on top of him. All her emotions were heightened but her sex drive mostly. It was mostly down to the lack of her medication.

"Can I?" He asked tugging on her lace thong. Naala nodded and let him pull her thong down. "I need words Princess,"

"Yes," She moaned, her skin was on fire and his touch was making it worse.

Justice kissed her passionately pulling his draws down at the same time. Naala pulled back and put her hand on his chest.

"A condom," She said softly. Justice wanted to feel her raw but accepted her wishes and put one on.

He flipped them over and placed himself in front of her, slowly easing in.

"Wait," Naala moaned out. This was her first time since the twins so she wasn't used to being stretched out.

"I'll go slow," Justice said intertwining their hands and moving in and out of her slowly. When she started to claw at his back he sped up.

Naala's moans filled the room and drifted down the halls. All the workers stopped to listen before carrying on their work.

"Shit," Justice cursed as her tightness wrapped around him perfectly. He had forgotten how good she felt.

"You gotta hold it," He said when her legs wrapped around him tightly.

"I can't," Naala cried out throwing her head back in pleasure. This was the first time she had ever enjoyed sex with Justice.

A loud bang came from down the hall making Justice pause,

"Don't stop, why are you stopping?" Naala said lifting her head up.

"I'm sorry," He said before he leaned down and continued to kiss her, getting back into their flow.

Both of their peaks were reaching so Naala tightened herself around him making him groan.

"You can't do that Princess," Justice grumbled looking down at her, her facial expressions changing with every stroke.

Raised voices alerted Naala and she tapped Justice and pushed him off slightly.

"Do you hear that?" She asked him, her voice croaky from her moans.

"Yeah come on," Justice sighed pulling out of her. Naala sat up in the bed and checked if her hair was okay in the mirror above them on the ceiling.

"Here," Justice handed her one of her silk robes whilst he put on some joggers. He remained shirtless and slipped into his ugg slippers.

They both exited the bedroom and the noise got louder.

A drunk Maniya was sat by the door in the foyer, arguing with one of the staff.

"Maniya what are you doing?" Naala muttered helping her up.

"They wouldn't let me come see you," Maniya hiccuped leaning on her mom. "I just wanted to see you,"

"What is this?" Justice screwed his face up. "It is 3 in the afternoon, why the hell do you reek of cheap vodka?" He shouted.

"Let me handle it," Naala said to him,

"No, is this what you do?" He continued to shout at Maniya who wasn't paying him any mind.

"Justice please I said I'll handle it," Naala spoke once again stepping in front of him. Justice looked down at her angrily but her big brown doe eyes, eased his anger.

"Sort her out and I'll be in the study," He responded giving Maniya one last look.

"What is wrong with you?" Naala sighed helping her to her room.

"What? It's 5 o clock somewhere," Maniya chuckled drunkly. This wasn't the first time she had stumbled into the house drunk, Naala was used to it.

However, it was the first time Justice was home to witness it.

"Sit down," Naala instructed pointing to the bed. "Let's get you out of this," She said taking off Maniya's leather jacket.

"You're so pretty mama," Maniya smiled kicking her legs back and forth.

"Mmhm," Naala hummed helping her with her boots.

"Now I know where I got my eyes from," Maniya continued twiddling with her fingers. "I think I get my urge of self destruction from you too,"

Naala ignored her and continued to undress her. She got up and went to her closet, pulling out a pair of pyjamas.

"You want a bath or a shower?" Naala questioned grabbing a clean towel.

"I want to go home," Maniya huffed crossing her arms.

"We are home," Naala raised a brow at her. "Bath or shower?"

"Are you even in there anymore?" Maniya shook her head. "Has he broken you down that much?"

"What are you talking about baby?" Naala said confused.

"Mom, we are prisoners in this palace," Maniya exclaimed. "This isn't you, you don't stay at home and float around like a house wife."

Maniya had witnessed Naala turn into a shell of herself, living for one purpose; to please Justice.

"We aren't prisoners," Naala shook her head, "He saved us from a bad situation," She recited.

"That's his new line for the week huh?" Maniya mumbled laying back on the bed. "Mom he didn't save us from anything,"

"He saved us from a bad situation. He made me whole again," Naala said softly, "Now, bath or shower?"

"Wake up!" Maniya screamed in her face. "Wake up from this dream you're living in mommy," Naala stepped back because of the sudden noise and held her head.

"That's enough Maniya, get in the shower," Justice said appearing from nowhere. Maniya sighed and got up, snatching the towel from Naala's hands.

"Let's get you back to bed," Justice said with his hands on Naala's shoulders.

"I have a headache," Naala said quietly. "I need my meds,"

"You took them this morning angel," Justice reminded her. "I'll send for a glass of water, maybe some food too,"

"I want to stay with Maniya," Naala said firmly. "I have to make sure my baby is okay Justice,"

"Alright, get in," He said opening the comforter for her. "I'll get the water for you," He added kissing her forehead.

"Thank you," Naala said genuinely with a small smile.

"My pleasure Angel," Justice smiled kissing her hand lightly. He turned the tv on for her and switched it to her favorite show before leaving.

Naala watched tv until she realised Maniya still hadn't finished in the shower. She could still hear the water running but it had been almost 40 minutes.

"Niya?" Naala called knocking on the door softly. "I know you're mad at me but I wanted us to spend time together," She said with her hand on the door.

When there was no response, Naala knocked again before opening the door herself.

She found Maniya collapsed in the shower with a bottle of pills beside her. Her body was jerking and she was foaming at the mouth.

"Justice!" Naala screamed loudly getting into the shower to drag her out. "Justice quick," Naala's scream was almost blood curdling, the scream of a mother losing her child.

Maniya Sage Love-Brewster

The room was cold and my throat was dry and tight. The brightness was too much for my eyes so I opened them slowly, blinking rapidly.

"Good, you're awake," A nurse smiled at my bedside, touching my arm.

"What happened?" I spoke, my voice groggy and foreign to me.

"You swallowed a whole bottle of anti-depressants," I heard my 'dad' snap from the corner of the room.

"You've had a rough few days," The nurse reiterated looking over at my dad. "Would you like some water?"

I nodded quickly and sat up. The water was cold but it helped with the itchy feeling I was experiencing.

"We had to pump your stomach so you may feel a bit hungry. I'll bring a menu round in a second," The nurse carried on talking to me but I couldn't concentrate.

"Where's mom?" I spoke quietly when the nurse left.

"Your mother is beside herself." He said to me angrily. "She hasn't slept, ate or changed because of you. I had to force her to go home last night,"

"I'm sorry," I said quietly. "I'm really sorry, I don't know why I did that,"

I honestly didn't know why I did that but I do know at that time I didn't want to be alive anymore.

"Don't apologize," My dad frowned. "Was I not present enough? Do I work too much?" His whole attitude towards me changed.

"No it's not you," I replied truthfully,

"Then what is it? Tell me," He pulled a chair up beside me.

"I feel trapped," I answered looking at him. "Trapped in that house and I can't get out," His face changed and he held my hand softly.

"Why didn't you say so?" He tutted rubbing my hand. "You can move into the townhouse connected to the main house, I'll get you your own driver, your own staff, whatever you want baby,"

I could tell Justice had good intentions when it came to me but in terms of my mom, I wasn't so sure.

"No security, I want to be independent," I said sternly.

"Fine, no security," My dad nodded. "Now we have to convince your mom," He patted my arm.

"Is she really mad?" I questioned with a frown.

"Not mad, sad," Justice responded to me. "She should be on her way back now, she'll be happy to see you awake,"

"Can I sleep? I feel tired," I spoke before yawning.

"I'll be right outside darling," My dad nodded before he leaned down and kissed my forehead. His presence was so calming, almost intoxicating - I can see where my mom falls weak.

I think I only slept for 30 minutes because soon after my mom came rushing into the room.

"Oh angel you're awake," She smiled walking over and kissing my cheek multiple times. "And your lashes still look amazing," She complimented touching my cheek.

"I brought all you favorites, and your daddy's too because he hasn't left the hospital," My mom said lifting up a big bag.

"You didn't have to mom," I told her watching her bring out all different things.

"So I made chicken soup, vegetable soup and then just plain soup. I wasn't sure if you were still vegan, are you still vegan?" My mom asked energetically.

"Are you okay mom?" I raised an eyebrow,

"Yes I just have all this energy," She smiled bringing out more things from her huge back. Justice came into the room tucking his phone into his pocket.

"So like I was saying are you still vegan?" Mama asked me.

"No Ma, but I don't eat meat." I replied sitting up.

"Right I forgot," She huffed with a sigh. "We can do the vegetable one," She started pouring some out into a bowl.

"Look how cute this is. I found it at Walmart and look, it comes with a spoon," She held up the Tupperware. "Bae isn't it cute?" She asked showing my dad.

"It's very cute," He laughed at her excitement. Mama sighed in content and put the bowl in front of me.

"Then for after I made you some cookies, white chocolate and hazelnut, I know you don't like the pecan ones," She carried on rambling. "I stayed up all night, I wanted them to be perfect,"

"Princess why don't you let her eat that first?" Justice said wrapping his arms around her.

"Yeah okay," She nodded sitting on his lap. "Do you want some cookies? I made plain ones for you," She offered him.

"Lemme taste one," He smirked at her. My mom got up happily and grabbed one of the cases she had with the cookies in them.

I watched her feed him one before looking back down at my bowl.

"It's good," I heard my dad mumble, "You kicked our chef out the kitchen for this?" He said with his hand on her ass, I had to look away again because ew.

"Yeah just for you guys," My mom replied. I heard them kissing so I cleared my throat.

"You okay? You're thirsty?" My mom jumped up. "I bought you a Gatorade, orange juice and I squeezed some pineapple juice as well," She brought out the different bottles.

"Go with the pineapple juice, it will wash all the toxins out," My dad muttered standing up and putting his coat on.

"You're leaving?" Mama asked looking back at him. "She's still not well," She looked back at me sadly.

"I have to work Princess, it's been three days," Justice reminded her.

"But what if I need you?" Mama said quietly, I know she didn't want me to hear.

"Stan has all my numbers," He said hugging her close. "I won't be long, Maniya are you okay for me to go?" He said looking at me.

"Yeah I'm fine with mama," I shrugged eating some more of the soup.

"I'll be back before you know it. They're all out there, no one can hurt you," Justice told my mom. They kissed again before he left.

"Is it good?" My mom gleamed at me, sitting at the edge of the bed.

"I really like it," I said with a head nod. She put the pineapple juice in front of me and I took a sip.

"You squeezed this yourself?" I questioned because it tasted really good.

"Yeah I squeezed 2 pineapples and then I added some lime, it's good huh?" She smiled at me.

"Mommy are you sure you're okay? It's like your high," I said putting the juice down.

"I feel like I'm on the moon but then I'm not. It's so weird, I can't explain it," My mom chuckled with a bright smile.

"That's very weird," I replied leaning back in the bed.

I could feel her watching me and when I looked up she had tears running down her face.

"Mama," I said putting the bowl down, she was just about to burst with excitement and now she's crying.

"Why did you do that?" She said in tears,

"Close the juice?" I asked looking at her weirdly.

"No why did you try and leave me?" Mama asked me.

"I don't know Ma," I said looking away from her.

"You died twice," Mama whispered. "I lost you twice, why would you do that Maniya?" She said to me.

"Why would you do that to me?" She cried moving towards me.

"I don't know mommy," I replied with a shrug. "I can't remember," I lied.

"Is it me?" She asked quietly. This is what I didn't want, I'm the only person she has right now and I hurt her.

"No, it's not you. I don't know why I did it," I said again.

"I was so scared," Mama said standing up. "And your dad blamed me. That made me feel like I've failed," I knew she was referring to Justice which was worse.

"It's not your fault mommy," I repeated. "I'm sorry,"

"Do you need therapy? We can go together," My mom suggested.

There was a knock at the door that made my mom stop talking.

"Daddy," I smiled widely when my real dad walked into the room.

"What's up?" He said walking over to me. My mom stood up and stepped away from him, like she was scared or something.

"I missed you," I smiled hugging him tightly.

"Why you laid up in a hospital bed Niya?" He sighed moving my pillow for me.

"Mama don't leave," I said quickly when I saw her packing her purse up.

"I-I shouldn't be in here right now," She stuttered. My dad turned around and stared at her.

"Naala you don't want to be around me?" He asked, he looked hurt.

"Amir you're making me uncomfortable," Mama said stepping away from him. "Stop coming closer,"

"You want a divorce?" He said taking her hand. I saw how scared my mom was so I tried to get up.

"Daddy she's scared, stop" I spoke quickly watching my mom shudder.

"Let me go," Mama said with tears in her eyes. "I don't feel safe,"

"What's going on with her?" He turned to me. "She's been taking her meds?" He asked.

"I think so," I nodded, "Mama calm down," She was crying heavily and hyperventilating.

"I don't feel safe," She screamed making all the security rush in.

"I want to leave, I don't feel safe," She repeated leaving out with them.

"What the fuck is going on with her?" Daddy sighed looking at me.

"You can't just storm in here like that. She's sensitive," I explained sitting back down.

"Sensitive? She's blocked me out of her life and then this morning your whack ass daddy brought round divorce papers," He complained to me.

"Divorce?" I repeated,

"Yeah divorce. We signed 'em this morning," He mumbled. His face was all screwed up. "And now she's scared to be around me,"

"You obviously scare her dad," I said pointing to the door. "Mama is sensitive and if she doesn't feel safe then you scare her,"

"I ain't even here for that," He exhaled. "You tried to kill yourself?" He said sitting beside me.

"No," I shook my head. "I was drunk," I defended.

"Maniya don't bullshit with me." My dad grumbled. "When I got that call, I thought you were gone,"

"Mama called you?" I raised a brow,

"No Justice did. He cares about you apparently," He shrugged.

"I doubt it," I responded with a yawn. "He only cares about getting on mom's good side and he knows I'm the key to that,"

"They're together or something?" My dad squinted at me.

"I guess, they share a room and stuff." I replied. "But I don't think mommy wants to be there, but it's like she doesn't have a mind of her own anymore," I spilled.

"It's time for your session," A doctor peeked into the room. Daddy sighed and stood up,

"If you still here tomorrow, I'll come see you," He said pulling me into a hug. "I love you aight?" He said lowly.

"I love you too Old man," I chuckled kissing his cheek.

"You must be a really special girl," The doctor laughed when my dad left. "You've got a lot of people who care about you,"

"A lot of people that act like they care," I corrected her. No one really cared about me like they say they do.

"This isn't a therapy session but due to the amount of pills you ingested, we have to mentally assess you before we can discharge you," The doctor explained sitting on the chair opposite my bed.

"I'm not crazy," I spoke eyeing her,

"I know that but I want to have a little peak into that brain," She said with a chuckle.

"First let's start off with your home life," The doctor said with a clipboard. "Who do you live with?"

"I live with my mom and dad, and thousands of staff," I answered with a bored expression.

"You don't seem happy about that?" She raised a brow.

"I used to live with my mom and my other dad with my siblings which at first weren't my real siblings but now they're my half siblings," I answered. It even sounded more of a mess when I said it out loud.

"Explain that to me," The doctor said putting her pen down.

"My mom had me young, like real young. But I only came to know her when I was 16," I started. "She didn't exactly have me in good way,"

"Do you want to expand?"

"My dad he - uh - he raped her when she was younger," I replied lowly.

"Just to be sure, this is the dad you live with currently?" The doctor said. I could tell she was judging the hell out of me.

"Yes," I nodded playing with the sheet over me.

"How does that make you feel?" She questioned.

"I feel sick when I think of it but I haven't seen that side of him. He cares about my mom and he's trying to care about me," I said hesitantly.

"I feel like there's a but," The doctor raised,

"But I don't know if I can trust him. I care mostly about my mom because she's mentally weak, she can't take a lot of stress," I informed the doctor.

"Mentally weak?" She repeated,

"My mom is bipolar and borderline schizophrenic. With medication she's fully functional but without it, I don't know who she is," I stated. With the way my mom was behaving today, it didn't look like her meds were in the picture.

"That's with most mental illnesses but I wouldn't describe her as mentally weak, that's discriminatory towards her," The doctor responded. "What has that got to do with your dad?"

"He caused all of this," I said quickly.

"Including you trying to kill yourself?" She retorted.

Man, this lady.

"I wanted attention," I puffed my cheeks up. "I'm never the one who gets any sort of attention ever. I wanted my mom to know I was there,"

"Right, I'm going to run some more tests," The doctor said standing up with a smile.

Oh here we go.

1 week later ...
Omniscient

"What do you mean a restraining order?" Dave said standing outside Justice and Naala's house.

"There's a restraining order against you sir, I can't let you in the property," A security officer informed him.

"So how am I meant to get the babies inside?" Dave said gesturing to the twins in their stroller.

"I can take them in," The man offered,

"Fuck no, move out my way," Dave grumbled pushing the stroller past him and into the house.

It was a 5 storey mansion, with about 100 acres of land surrounding it. The house inside was in pristine condition, you could see your reflection in the marble floors.

"Naala," Dave's voice bellowed through the house. One of the staff appeared from the kitchen, with an apron on.

"Mrs Parker is in the study," She told Dave with a polite smile.

"Mrs Parker my ass," Dave mumbled shaking his hand. He followed the directions the lady gave and got to brown double doors which he assumed was the study.

"... I want white centrepieces, not pink. It's a governor's ball not a wedding," Naala spoke into the phone. Her back was to the door so she didn't see Dave enter.

"Yes, Leila do you like your job because right now, I'm about to find somebody else," Naala snapped turning around. She looked at Dave and jumped before she hung on Leila mid sentence.

"Don't sneak up on me like that," Naala breathed holding her chest.

"Am I allowed to come closer?" Dave scoffed looking at her.

"What are you talking about? How did they even let you in here?" Naala questioned walking over to him. She reached into the stroller and picked up Aamirah.

"I missed you pretty eyes," Naala cooed kissing her face.

"A restraining order Naala?" Dave said to her, his tone hostile and loud.

"I don't know what you're talking about Amir, but please stop shouting at me," Naala muttered holding Aamirah close to her chest.

"This nigga is isolating you from your family, first the divorce now the retraining order," Dave said lowering his tone.

"He saved me from you," Naala said simply. "You hurt me constantly and he saved me," She repeated everything Justice makes her say.

"What the hell is going on with you? I don't hurt you anymore," Dave shouted loudly.

"You hurt me constantly," Naala repeated with tears in her eyes. She was saying words that she didn't want to say but Justice had conditioned her brain to think this.

"He took me out of bad situation and he makes me feel safe," Naala said laying Aamirah back down.

"I don't even know who you are right now," Dave shook his head. "You can keep Mirah for a bit, she's been crying a lot today,"

"I don't want to see them anymore," Naala replied wiping her eyes.

"The babies?" Dave squinted at her,

"All of them. They don't need me anymore," Naala answered sitting down.

"Naala, our kids? What has Justice been telling you?" Dave asked lowly. He couldn't believe Naala would not want to see her children.

"That I'm stronger without you," Naala huffed. "And if seeing them means I have to see you, I don't want that,"

"Okay I'll get my mom to drop them off, you can't abandon them Naala, not right now," Dave responded.

"Stop it," Naala cried looking away from him. "You hurt me, why do I care about you?"

"Because he's making you think that baby. He's in your head," Dave said softly. "I love you, I don't hurt you. That was in the past, look at our babies, we made them with love,"

Naala was confused, her heart was telling her one thing but her brain another.

"I love you?" Naala asked with a questionable tone.

"Yes, we're in love with each other. Justice is manipulating you. He's messing with your head, this isn't you," Dave said taking her hand.

Dave saw the look in her eyes change and he was sure he has gotten through to her.

"Justice saved me," Naala sniffed standing up. "I want you to leave, I don't feel safe around you,"

"Bet," Dave tucked his lips in. "I know you're still in there somewhere Naala, don't let him take all of you," Naala stepped away from him before kissing her babies.

Dave took one last look at her before he left Naala on her own in the study.

She sat in there for about 30 minutes on her own, staring out of the window.

"Mrs Parker," One of the staff knocked on the door lightly.

"Mmm," Naala hummed, her back still to the door.

"The other Mrs Parker has arrived. What room shall I direct her to?" They answered meekly.

Naala turned around and bit her lip, "She's here right now?"

"Yes ma'am, what would you like me to do?" Naala sighed and twisted her lips to the side.

"And my husband?" Naala asked of Justice,

"On the other wing, I can call for him," The girl responded with a smile.

"Yeah, call him and take me to her," Naala mumbled standing up and fixing her hair. "Do I look okay?" She was nervous to meet Justice's first wife.

"You always look good Ma'am," The girl smiled at Naala,

"I like you, what's your name?" Naala asked walking beside her.

"Beverley," The girl replied. She walked to the end of the corridor and pressed the intercom which would alert Justice.

"Oh now I get to meet the young trick my husband impregnated and married," Naala heard the woman mumble.

"Mrs Parker, meet Mrs Parker," Beverly introduced awkwardly.

"You can call me Naala," Naala said softly, "You have bags? Justice didn't tell me you were staying,"

"Justice doesn't say much when he's in between women's legs," Carmen replied looking Naala up and down.

Naala's eyes widened but out of respect she didn't rise up to it.

"Would you like a drink or something?" Naala asked waving over one of the kitchen staff.

"I can handle it unless you want to serve me," Carmen raised a brow.

"Do I look like I should be serving you?" Naala replied quickly tucking her hair behind her ear, giving Carmen a full view of the massive diamond ring.

"Listen here you —"

"Where's my beautiful lady?" Justice's voice echoed through the house. "There she is," He said wrapping one arm around Naala's waist.

"Hey," Naala said quietly. "You've been working all day," She added.

"I know, I'm all yours now," Justice said kissing her softly.

"Justice," Carmen said looking between the two,

"Carmen," Justice said in the same tone. These two did not get on at all. "Have you signed those papers?"

"I'm not signing anything till you change that prenup," Carmen spoke getting up from the stool behind the counter.

"How much of my money do you want to take?" Justice grumbled.

"All of it, I deserve it," Carmen responded. "You think now because you have this young bitch on your arm I would forget,"

"You're not going to leave everything to her and your bastard, I refuse it," Carmen continued to talk.

"Okay I'm gonna go and check on Niya," Naala said moving Justice's hand from her waist.

"You don't have to go," Justice mumbled lowly.

"Oh trust me I do because if I don't, somebody's gonna die and it won't be me," Naala frowned swatting his hands off her. "Move Justice," She huffed when he stopped her from passing.

"Come on baby, now you're mad at me," Justice said towering over her.

"I am very mad and I want you to get off me," Naala nodded looking at Carmen who was watching them.

"I'll see you at church Mrs Parker," Carmen waved sarcastically while Justice dragged her away.

"Get in there," Justice huffed pushing Naala into their bedroom.

"I'm not in the mood for you. She stood there and disrespected me and your daughter and you said nothing," Naala fussed at him.

"Did you give me a chance to say something to her?" Justice shouted.

"Don't shout at me," Naala pointed. "Get out and go and see your wife," She said walking away from him.

"Naala don't walk away from me," Justice said calmy. Their room was almost as big as the living area so his voice bounced off the walls.

"Get out Justice!" Naala snapped. "I have things to do before tomorrow's service," As First Lady, Naala has to prepare to speak to the women.

"Princess come on," Justice followed her around the room. "I'm sorry," He said putting his arms around her.

"Why are you still talking to me?" Naala replied rudely.

"I'm sorry," He repeated getting down on his knees in front of her. "I'll go out there and I'll tell her she can't talk to you like that, I'll sort it out,"

"Get up," Naala sighed looking down at him.

"I don't like when you're angry at me," Justice spoke holding onto her legs. "Please baby, I'm sorry,"

"Okay, just get up," Naala answered when he started kissing her stomach.

"Do you forgive me?" He asked looking up,

"Yeah, but she can't stay here," Naala crossed her arms. "I don't want her in my home or around our daughter,"

"Done and done," Justice said quickly. "You're my queen, anything you want," He added getting up.

"Go and tell her now," Naala patted his shoulder.

"I'm going," Justice nodded. "Can I get a kiss?" He pulled her closer.

Naala nodded and pulled his head down, pecking his lips.

"Have you got your talk all planned out?" Justice asked rubbing her ass.

"I need your help," Naala said softly,

"Let me go and speak to Carmen and then I'll come back to help," Justice spoke kissing her cheek.

~~

"It doesn't have to be long baby, just 5 minutes," Justice convinced Naala. They were trying to plan her speech but she was nervous.

Naala was laid on the couch in their room with her head in his lap. Her iPad was in her hands as she stared at the blank page.

"This isn't me, I don't talk at churches," Naala complained with a whine.

"I'll write it," Justice sighed taking the iPad from her. "Let's spend time together, what do you wanna do?" He asked looking down at her.

"Whatever you wanna do," Naala shrugged playing with her fingers. Justice smirked and leaned down kissing her lips.

"I can think of a lot of things," He said rubbing her thigh.

"I'm sure you can," Naala laughed turning to the tv. "You told Maniya she can move out?" She asked quietly.

"I did," Justice responded. "She tried to kill herself for attention. If she wants to be free then I can't keep her here,"

"I don't want her living somewhere else," Naala mumbled. "Now isn't the time for her to be away from me,"

On cue, Maniya knocked on their bedroom door. Naala sat up and took her reading glasses off.

"Are you okay Angel?" Naala asked lightly.

"I wanted your help with something ma," Maniya said leaning against the door.

"Okay, I'm coming," Naala replied getting up and slipping on her slippers. "I'll be back babe," She said to Justice.

"Take your time," He replied kissing her lips and prepared to write the speech for her.

"What's up?" Naala said as they walked down the hall.

"My hair," Maniya answered. "Can you braid it down?" The truth was, Maniya just wanted to spend time with her mom, she was feeling lonely.

"Yes of course I can," Naala smiled happily. "You haven't let me do this in so long," She cheesed as they made it to Maniya's room.

Naala sat on the bed and put a pillow down for Maniya to sit in between her legs.

"Two French braids?" Naala quizzed parting her hair.

"Whatever you want to do," Maniya shrugged turning her television on.

"How are you feeling?" Naala asked as she began to braid her hair back.

"Tired but I'm okay," Maniya replied. "I also wanted to say sorry for what I did,"

"This is the second time you've tried to kill yourself and I've found you," Naala answered after a while. "That worries me so much,"

"I didn't want to kill myself," Maniya lied,

"You did but why? Why is what I give you not enough? If it's not me then who is it?" Naala continued.

"It's me," Maniya breathed out. "I'm not good enough, and now everything I thought was my reality isn't even real anymore,"

"What are you talking about?" Naala questioned.

"None of this is real mom, you're acting as if everything is okay but inside you would do the same," Maniya replied, reading Naala like a book.

"I can't give up because I have you all depending on me," Naala defended. "I can't just wake up and say I don't want to do this anymore because then I would have let you all down,"

"I'm not perfect Maniya, I'm far from it but I'm trying to be the best mom that I never had," She finished.

"So your happiness means nothing?" Maniya said turning to her. "You would rather stay with him, unhappy and purposeless, for us?"

"I would die for you," Naala said firmly. "My children mean the absolute world to me, so yes I will do anything I can to ensure that my children remain safe and alive,"

"Mama that's stupid," Maniya shook her head.

"I don't want to hear any more of this," Naala said continuing the braid. "Please don't try and hurt yourself again, that's all I ask,"

"I won't," Maniya mumbled. She was tired of trying to get through to her mom, if Naala was content living this way, she couldn't do anything.
