"Remind me why we bother with this dump?" Mylo picks his nose and flicks it on the floor
"that's disgusting. your disgusting" I looked up at him disgusted with what I just witnessed. I was currently sitting on the floor crossed legged thinking of a way to build something for me and powder. since she's always left out I wanted to do something for both of us.
"whatever. it's a part of human nature" Mylo said playing around with one of powders guns.
"last time I checked we don't publicly pick the snot out of our nose. you're just unsanitary," I meant which made the room laugh except Mylo who rolled his eyes.
"Vander said to lay low. Enforcers never come down here, so this is as good a place as any." Vi says and punches her boxing gloves jointly
"Oh, what's the matter, Mylo? Did you worry Powder's gonna beat you again?" Clagger said crossing his arms
"Hey, if she didn't keep fixing these things, I wouldn't keep missing them!"
powder switches the power on
Vi takes off her gloves "You guys know I wouldn't take you on a job you couldn't handle, right?"
"Are you kidding? That was the best job we've ever done! Maybe just don't take Powder next time." Mylo looks over to his side where Powder was standing
powder played the game and didn't miss a single shot
I applauded her "she's gonna be a better shot than you when she gets older Mylo!" I shouted and he flipped me off
I then felt a presence behind me. it was Violet
"Whatcha doing?" she sat next to me and put a strand of hair behind my ear which made my heartbeat at a rapid pace.
"Working on something for me and powder. maybe something neat like a weapon for our next job!" I told her and she laughed.
"Or if we're being realistic- a Rocketship." I joked
"Well, if you ever plan on going to space with my sister then make sure to let me tag along. wouldn't want you to blow up Powder or something." we both laughed with each other
"Hey, guys? You should see this-"
glass shatters everywhere
"Enforcers?" I felt my heart drop. "we'll be fine, okay?" she reassured me
"Search them." one of the men said
"Go ahead, idiots. We've got nothing." Mylo threw his hands up in the air
Vi looked at powder shit she has those blue crystals then she signaled to Claggor to push the lever behind him, and he did so. everything went neon and a skeleton was in the center of our hangout
we all ran in different directions to distract the enforcers. I threw a screwdriver at one of them and Vi tossed the metal thing she used for her boxing machine
"Go! Go!" the enforcers shout
I spot Powder inside the target practice box and she gets grabbed aggressively by one of the guards but she saves herself by trapping the guy in one of the sharp pieces of metal covered in neon paint I jump in there and hit the guy in the face with a plank of wood knocking him out clean.
"Come on!" Vi grabs both of us and pulls us out of the situation
"Over here!" says Ekko. finally, that kid shows up I haven't seen him in forever! I smiled
"You need to hide those crystals," asserts Vi
powder replies "Yeah, no shit."

"We should hit them back. We've got the numbers to beat them." The man who was thrown through the window spoke with determination.
"Yeah. Let's teach them what it means to mess with us!" another yelled
The crowd shouts in agreement
"You sure that's what you want?" Vander replies
"Let's do it. We crossed that bridge once before, and we all know how that ended. You're just protecting your kids." a man cries out
"I'm protecting our people. I'd do the same for any one of you. We look out for each other. It's the way it's always been. This will blow over. We just need to stand together." most of the room smiled at his ease with the problem
"The Vander I knew, the one who built the underground, wouldn't be afraid to fight." a sturdy woman spoke
"Do I look afraid?" Vander walked towards her with a cigarette pipe in between his fingers.
"No. You look weak." she spat and walked away
we all rested by the doorway to our room "Why isn't he doing anything?" said Clagger "We kicked the Enforcers' butts with just the four of us. Imagine what the whole of the Lanes could do!" powder told and walked down the stairs "Jeez, even Powder wants to fight." Mylo said, "So, why aren't we?" Vi spoke and looked over at the suspicious looking Ekko.
"Spill it, Ekko," I proclaim and fold my arms.
"Um-" he stuttered a bit "Oh, okay. Well, um, Vander's got a deal with the Enforcers." he smiled awkwardly.
"What deal?" Vi stood in front of me

the door opened. Vander Acknowledged the sound "welcome to The Last Drop." he looked up with a blank tone but quickly turned into a disgusted look.
"What can I get you?" Vander asked cleaning the beer glasses
"Four sump-rats will do" the Enforcer leaned against the counter
"Search the place," he talked again
"While you're wasting your time, how about a proper drink?" Vander grabbed a bottle from below and pressed a red button which set off some kind of alert
"I'll take the strongest shit you got." the enforcer spat
"Mm." Vander hummed "You be careful with that."
"Nearly forgot. I ran into an old friend of yours. He had some stories." the man twirled his drink
"You weren't always the peacekeeper, were you?" he started to scrutinize
"Yeah, well, you can't escape the past. Right? Be a shame if I had to put them on again. Cast iron's, well, it's hard to clean." Vander kidded
I and the other kids sat in our room casually talking to one another when we heard a ringing round and we immediately knew what it was for
"Everyone finds somewhere to hide. NOW!" I whisper shouted and everyone vanished out of sight.
everything was silent till I heard the door creak open. my palms felt hot and my stomach turned. they looked around the room and never noticed the 3 girls on the ceiling bars. I looked over at Powder and saw her fingers beginning to slide. I moved my hand to her to keep her from falling and once the man left the room we both drop to the ground "well that was lovely" I said sarcastically.
"You people down here are all the same, mistaking arrogance for bravery. You think you're standing up for something, but we all know there is a crime behind every coin that passes through this place. You're just a small man in a little hole the world forgot to bury. And I'm gonna bury the lot of you!" the enforcer shouted and a line of blue flames shot out once he threw vanders pipe on the counter
and they left without another word

"Are you all okay?" Vander comes into our room
Vi grunts "No, we're not okay. They almost saw Powder. What if they took her?"
"No one is taking any of you. Never let that happen," he said sternly
"It's already happening. You heard him, they won't stop. We need to fight back. And if you won't, I will." she said with determination
Vander sighed "I've heard this kind of talk before."

(Vi pov:)
"Why are we here?" he crosses her arms leaning against a pile of wood
Vander sighed "You still don't understand-"
she cut him off "What I don't understand is how you can work with them. We were here. We saw what they did. I grew up knowing I'm less than them, that my place is down there. I want Powder to have more than that, and I'm willing to fight for it."
he exclaimed "So was I. I was angry, just like you. I led us across this bridge, thinking things could change. If I hadn't... your parents would still be alive. I know you wanna hurt the topsiders for what they've done to us. But who are you willing to lose? Mylo? Claggor? Powder and y/n?
she looked down to the floor and he spoke once more "Nobody wins in war, Vi."
"What are we gonna do? The Enforcers will come back." she worried
"I... I don't know. I'll, uh, I'll figure it out."
time skip ﹀﹀﹀
Vi breathed deeply and she opened the door
"Vi, where you been?" Mylo walked towards her
"Rumor is the Lanes are gonna fight." Clagger followed Mylo but she walked right past them to sit with Y/n and Power. "Look, I made them for the Enforcers. These are smoke bombs, and those two are full of nails. They're gonna work this time, I know it." pow declared
"I think they will Pow. you've been working on them all evening" y/n said and rubbed her shoulder
"Yeah, I think they'll work too. You know, Powder, what makes you different makes you strong." I grabbed her hand tightly "Always remember that, okay?"
(in piltover)
"What the hell were you thinking, going into The Last Drop? Do you have any idea what you've done?" Shouted Grayson
"I was getting results!" the enforcer let out
Marcus spoke up "You heard the Council. You're a fool. There is no stopping what happens now!"
a blue tube came out and landed into a golden basket from a small tunnel
"Maybe it's not too late."
