y/n looked down at her phone as she heard it vibrate. she quickly grabbed it and unlocked it, checking the notification, anything to take a break from studying. she smiled as she realised it was from hongjoong, her boyfriend of 4 years. she opened it and smiled more, seeing a picture of him and their daughter together
"my cuties 💗" she replied, closing her phone and placing it on the desk once again
"don't overwork yourself! we miss you!" he texted back causing y/n to blush and lay her head on the desk, she sighed and looked at the books in front of her.
"i've done enough" she mumbled to herself, packing the books away in her bag along with her pens.
she walked through the doors of the library and down the stairs, making her way to their apartment.
as she approached the door she went to grab her keys but stopped. 'it would be better to surprise them', she thought to herself. she knocked on the door and immediately heard footsteps approaching the door. the door slowly opened to reveal a tired looking hongjoong.
"hey!!!" he yelled excitedly, drawing their daughters attention to the door
"mum!" she yelled excitedly, dropping her toys and running over to her
"hey guys! i decided to come home earlier today" she said, picking up her daughter so she could hug them both.
"oh, good! we were just about to make food so.. join us!" hongjoong said, making his way to the kitchen. y/n followed behind, watching him as he began to cook the food.
"(daughters name) why don't you go and pick out some pajamas?" hongjoong suggested, she nodded and quickly ran over to her room, closing the door behind her.
"i missed you" hongjoong said, walking up to her as she sat on the counter
"i missed you too" she said, smiling at him
"i get that you need to study, i get that... but don't overwork yourself my love, okay?" he said, looking at her with sympathy
"okay, i promise i won't" she said, smiling as hongjoong placed a quick peck on her lips
"i'm done! " their daughter said, running out of her room enthusiastically
"yay! you did so good with dressing yourself!" y/n said excitedly, hongjoong smiling at them both adoringly
"but now i'm hungry..." she said looking up at her dad who was putting the food in bowls
"well i think the food is done!" y/n said, carrying her over to the table and placing her in the high chair
"here is your food!" hongjoong said, placing the food on her tray and smiling at her
"thank you!" she said excitedly, instantly eating the food
"finally she is asleep" y/n said, closing the door gently as she walked out of her daughters room. she quickly walked over to hongjoong and hugged him, looking up at him to see him blushing
"after 4 years you still blush huh?" y/n said teasingly, smirking at him
"shhhh" he said, pulling her head closer to his chest. she laughed and pulled away to look up at him.
"it's only 7:30, wanna watch something with me?" she said, smiling at him
"of course!" he said excitedly as they made their way over to the sofa. they both sat in the corner of the sofa, y/n hugging hongjoong as he picked a show that they both wanted to watch.
"y/n! i cant breathe if you hug me like that" hongjoong said pretending to gasp for air, making
y/n laugh and hug him tighter.
