Flashback

Explosions surrounded their ears

"And find..." powder stopped singing her eerie tune and lifted her small hand from her eyes,
she looked up at her sister to find a fearful expression on her face
Powder looked into Violets direction and let out a small gasp at the sights of a rather bulky looking man beating someone to death. The man turned his back on the corpse and saw the two little girls standing in awe at the situation.
He walked up to the sisters and the younger one hid behind the eldest one. Violet looked up to the man with a pleading look and the man motioned to his right. The older girl looked to her right to find a man and woman who resembled the girls an awful lot. Tears welled up in her eyes at the realization and she proceeded to sob with the comfort of her sister who was hugging her tightly in attempt to calm her down.
The man felt a rush of guilt and sorrow for the girls and made a hard desision of going a diffrent path other than violence and war.
The man dropped his iron gauntlets with a loud thud and picked up the girls without a word and started walking into the oblivion whilst violet kept a stern eye on the men in the distance known as the enforcers...

End of flashback
( Y/N pov)
"We're almost there" violet said reassuringly to the others below her as they climed the large building
"Aw, man..." Mylo grunts behind me
"Come on! or we'll have to leave you behind" i smiled as i climbed higher and higher.
"haha very funny y/n" Mylo says sarcastically and nearly slips on one of the pipes.
we get to the top and I manage to get a good look of the perfect city of Piltover if only Zaun looked this elegant.
"Hey, Powder, y/n. Come take a look." Says Vi
"Whoa..." powder stares in awe "It's nice getting above it all, huh?" Says violet looking forward into the distance
"It's pretty but the people are assholes-" i folded my arms with a stern look on my face, Violet looked at me and let out a small laugh.
"One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things." Powder looked up at the flying vehicles.
"And one day, I'm gonna shoot one of 'em down." I nudged Mylo harshly on the shoulder "let her dream Mylo" I said
"Vi, are, are you sure about this? Look, if we get caught, we're.-" Claggor was cut off "We're not gonna get caught." She jumped off of the object she was standing on and walked closer to the ledge "We'll be in and out before anyone notices." She said whilst i watched the yellow birds fly past our heads "All right, everybody, follow me. Just don't look down."
She slid off the roof and landed on the balcony edge and landed on the other side of the roof in style. Next it was Mylo's turn. With the crack of his knuckles he managed to land on the other side in one piece. Clagger was up next and made it to the other side nearly breaking the balcony's edge and devouring the freshly baked cupcake "Couldn't we have at least just walked there?" Clagger says with a full mouth and shrugs "Gotta stay out of sight for this one." Says violet
"okay y/n you next..." said Vi
I looked down and worked out the different ways i could die at this very moment making me shiver at the images in my head yeah definitely don't want to fall today i shoved the thoughts out of my brain and before i knew it i was on the other side with the others waiting for powder to join us.
"Called it. This is on you, Vi" Mylo was really testing my patience now-
Vi groans
"I'll get her-" once again Clagger was interrupted "No! Powder, look at me. What did I tell you?" She once again held her stern face that she always holds, aggressive and pretty i thought
"That..." she exhaled "...I'm ready" powder said looking over to her sister. "That's right! So?" Violet did her best to encourage the little girl but you could tell powder was still a little nervous about the situation "Come on on pow I'll catch you if you slip!" I told her and smiled which made her feel a little more safer she took a deep breath and jumped on the metal bars of the balcony nearly slipping in the process "phew..." she smiled in relief and jumped onto the other side, she nearly falls off the edge but me and Vi grab her hands and help her back up "Thanks."

"What if Vander finds out we're all the way up here?" Claggor asked Vi a little worried we'd get in serious trouble for doing this
"Look around you. You think anyone topside's going hungry? Besides, this is exactly the sort of job Vander would've pulled when he was our age." she jumped down onto the building's balcony "I'm going. Are you with me or not?" She turned to Clagger, he sighed "Vander's gonna kill us."
"Yeah, only if we screw up. So don't screw up." She says to the group.
"When have we ever screwed up?" I said sarcastically and she playfully nudged me in return.
We all jump down onto the balcony
"All clear." Mylo breathes deeply and groans "Who locks their balcony?" Mylo rolls his eyes and continues to pick at the lock "Hmm" powder grunts
"Whew. There's tons of enforcers down there..."I say as i sit on the edge of the balcony fiddling with my small project I'm working on at the moment "Means we're in the right place. You gonna get that door open any time soon?" Violet shouts to Mylo whilst watching me fiddle with the small trinket "Working on it. Seeing as I'm the only one who knows how to pick locks, I suggest-" Vi grunts and kicks down the door
"Animals." Mylo scoffs in disbelief i walk past him and flick the back of his head and smile to myself "You know, Clagger, for once you're right. We are definitely not supposed to be here." says Mylo and runs over to the desk with the drawings and puts stuff in the bag
"Must be an inventor...hey y/n/n look at this!" Vi nudges my shoulder and smiles trying to impress me with the thing she was holding "Vi I love you but just stop" I laughed, and I thought I saw the slightest tint of blush creep onto her face
"Whoa, I think this is a real Valdiani, y/n/n?" Powder smiles up at me asking for confirmation "i think so...we should definitely take it home with us" we both smirk and she puts it in her little bag. "Oh, yeah you two. What about this?" Mylo whips out a nose hair trimmer and i laugh at his stupidity "what's so funny y/n?" He looks at me confused "That's a nose hair trimmer" Powder says to him whilst i carry on searching for supplies
"Keep an eye out for anything that looks valuable, y/n Before Mylo fills the bag with junk." She whispers into my ear and we all start walking over to the desk "Uh... guys?" Mylo touches the blue thing and gets shocked which made him jump a little.
"Wait, Vi, how the hell did we find this place?" Claggor says whilst looking at the object "It was a tip from Little Man." Says Vi "Little Man?" Mylo turns to her "Just leave it. Come on! She whisper shouts "How can anyone have so much stuff?" Mylo says in disbelief.
The sound of muffled voices from the others were heard whilst me and powder walked into the room next door, she was humming a sweet lullaby "cute room. Wow he was reading on magic? me and him might just have something in common" I said whilst flipping through the books, i admired this man's curiosity about the arts of magic.
"y/n look, sandwiches!" I turn to powder and we both grab the food and devour it all. She notices something behind the paper and pushes it aside to reveal a large box that held 6 blue crystals. We stared in awe at the glowing balls of light, and she picked them up one by one and shoved them in her bag.
I started to hear muffled talking and keys being jangled. "Powder, we gotta go!" I grab her hand and we run out the room onto the balcony. Suddenly half the building explodes and now the guards have noticed the 5 of us. Shit
"Stop right there!" One of the enforcers yell "Get them off!" Shouts the other
"Faster!" Yells violet, as we turn a few corners we come across a muddy tunnel and Vi looks at Mylo "aw come on i just brought this shirt!" Gesturing to the smelly cloth on his body. She pushed him down the tunnel and we all followed suite.
I held onto powder tightly in case she hurt herself. We fell from the tunnel into a huge pile of junk and I looked at my clothes which were covered in muck
"well, that went well-" I spoke but was cut off by Mylo "Thought last time was the last time we were gonna do this?" Vi spoke up "Well, this time's the last time." She said wiping the gunk off her shirt
"Guys, what was that? What the hell happened back there?" We all looked to Powder "I don't know. I didn't do anything" she shrugged "You could fill a damn library with all the things you didn't do" Mylo said rolling his eyes "she's just a kid Mylo cut her some slack for once" I started to grow frustrated with him. She's only 11
"oh stop sticking up for her! Don't you ever get tired of Powder ruining every mission we go on?" I was ready to punch him when Violet started to speak "Guys cut it out! we just emptied a Piltover penthouse right under the enforcers' noses. So, if you're done beating yourselves up and arguing, let's get this home."
Time skip .・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
clatters, creaks. The pink haired girl opened the hatch and pulled up her sister and the bag and offered a hand to me i looked at her confused "what's wrong scared for some help?" She chuckled and i realised that it wasn't anything like that. Well that was embarrassing.
We walk through the warm streets with a coughing Mylo at my side. I proceeded to slap him on the back hard for some support "what the fuck was that for y/n?" He let out a small laugh whilst coughing again. We were talking for a bit when these sketchy men sat on the wooden boxes to the side of us
"Nice haul?" The blonde one said, "You could say that." Mylo replied bluntly "I heard there was some action across the river. Someone, uh, someone really kicked the nest, huh?" The man spoke again fiddling with a coin "Is that so?" Vi around to speak and then carried on walking.
He chuckles and talks again "But now you're, you're tracking this mess of yours through my streets..." he stands up and I notice more men enter the scene
"Your streets? What makes you think-" I block Vi from intervening, "we don't want any trouble okay?" says Claggor "just take your group with you and leave us alone" I added "Hear that, Deckard? They don't want any trouble. You know, in my experience, trouble finds you. There's no reason this has to get ugly. How about you share a little taste of your treasure there and we'll call it even?" The man now known as Deckard grinned at us.
"No, no, no! We worked too hard to-" Vi pulled Mylo out of the way to get closer to Deckard "Just a taste?" She spoke softly "Just a..."
she punched him hard in the face and threw the bag to powder now everyone was beginning to fight each other.
One of the men charged towards me and I managed to duck from the punch. The best spots to go for was the throat, eyes and knees and for Men the private area. I kicked him hard in the crotch and punched him hard in the nose which caused him to have a serious nosebleed. He pulled himself together and swung at me again only this time he hit me hard over the side of my cheek feeling the blood drip down my face. Vi came to my aid and grabbed a nearby plank and whacked him over the head with it leaving him passed out on the dry dirtied floor.
Time skip *＊✿❀ ❀✿＊*
"This day's turning out all right after all" Mylo said proudly
"Wait!" Deckard starts panting and pulls out his knife from his pocket, Vi walks over to him with anger in her eyes "Wanna see how that ends?" She eyed him brusquely. the suspense was in the air. I didn't want her to get hurt and I knew she'd go nuts if I done something out of line to protect her. He gave up and ran off and I left out a sigh of relief
"Where's Powder?" Violet said and we all started to looked around us
(Powder pov)
"Oh! Oh! You little-" I ran as fast as I could to find someplace to hide from the man.
I hid behind a wall by the docks and when I thought I could make it out alive one of the planks fell and i could feel his footsteps getting closer to me. Just then i thought of an idea i grabbed one of my bombs out of my bag "Come on, Mouser, I need you!" The hairs on my arms were rising and i could feel my heart beating out of my chest. I threw mouser to the man and hoped something distracting would happen.
"No..." mouser didn't work- not only am i doomed but one of my bombs has failed again. Out of panic i took the bag off my shoulders and threw it out into the ocean with the man now walking away in frustration.
Time skip
"You did what?!"
"I'm sorry. I tried to fight him off with Mouser, but... she didn't work" i shrugged my shoulders cowering from Mylo afraid he was going to say something about me again "Who saw that coming?" Said a frustrated Mylo which caused y/n smacked him over the head I couldn't help my force a little smile
"We never should have gone over there" Clagger said scratching the back of his neck
"Doesn't matter. The stuff's gone. It's all right, Powder. At least you're okay." Vi smiled "Okay? What about us? I get my face bashed in, and she just gets a pass?" Says Mylo, y/n walks over to the elevator "Yup." She replied. The door closes and the sounds of metal clanking can be heard
"Every time. Every time she comes, something goes wrong. She jinxes every job." Mylo's words nailing into my head
"Just drop it, Mylo."
