The train stopped and the four of us got off together. When we got into the school Harry, Ron, and Hermione had to leave since I was a first year and they weren't. All of the first years got a tour then went to the dinning hall. When we got there, almost the whole school watched us come in. It was now time to get sorted into our house. Let's hope I get what my parents are. Before I get up there, Ms. McGonagall pulled me aside and asked,
MG: Miss. Y/N, I saw your last name and wondered if you wanted to just be called by your first name until you are ready to tell others your last name.
I smiled at her and answered,
Y/N: Yes ma'am. That would be most appreciated, thank you.
I had one last person in front of me when the Professor got back to the front. Then it was my turn.
MG: For personal reasons, the last name has been asked to be kept a secret for now.
Then she turns back to me and says clearly,
MG: Y/N
I walk to the front and sit in the chair while Professor McGonagall places the sorting hat on my head.
SortingHat: Difficult, very difficult
It pauses for a minute, then shouts,
SH: Slytherin!
The whole Slytherin table stands up and cheers. I smile and walk over and sit by a boy in a green robe with blond hair and green eyes. I look at the boy and smile.
Y/N: Hello! Who might you be?
But he doesn't answer, he just turns around to watch the last three new students get sorted. After the sorting, they brought out the food and I had my first meal at Hogwarts. After I finished eating, I walked back to my assigned dorm, who I shared with a girl named Pansy Parkinson.
