The thirteenth came along and in several different dimensions I'm eighteen- in naomi's im thirty eight. And quite possibly in another I'm twenty five with a seven year old girl and another along the way- but let's ignore the conversations on alternative dimensions and just get to the point I'm an adult wooo- and now I just have to pass this school year, then me and am are off to college. Sitting in my bed so damn tired on this boring Sunday morning at '9:45' the doorbell rings
"I'll get it!"
I shout out to vee as I ride the handrail down the stairs, opening the door the mailman hands me a fairly large box
"Are you.. miss luz noceda?"
Nodding he hands me the weird machine to sign off the box to me, writing my signature neatly in cursive he walks to his truck. Shutting the door behind me I rejoin amity upstairs, scooting my laptop back to press lightly against the wall. Flipping open my spring assisted knife I get this weird neverending rush as it loudly clicks open- I don't know why but I always categorized it as happiness that it hasn't rusted shut. Cutting the tape I slip open the box, not remembering what I'd recently bought online. Pulling back the opaque thin white foam I reveal the dark shining face of an XPpen artist 22 pro, shoving myself away from the desk on the gaming chair and find myself on the other side of the room. Scooting the chair awkwardly across the wood floor I pull out the rest for my keyboard I never use and place the XPpen onto it, setting the empty box beside my scrapped art bin I swap the places of my laptop and the XPpen. Leaning over my shoulder amity asks quietly
"What's that?"
Smiling gently I lean my head back and pull hers down to surprise her with a kiss, turning my chair to face her I pull her into my lap. Turning to face the desk again I say happily
"My art tablet that I forgot I ordered"
Leaning against me her hands rest on my neck, setting up the display I plug it into the outlet no more than a foot in front of me. Downloading all the software onto it I go to install all the suggested art apps to figure out what is better, soon realizing that I'd took art too much as my piece turns more and more realistic I chuckle and decided to make a sort of 'family photo' with vee, maya, moms, and my happy group of three all in one. Setting the finished artwork as my wallpaper small footsteps run upstairs, turning to see rose run into the room with a paper airplane I catch her and pull her also into my lap- more amity's than mine. Gently lowering the chair to it's lowest point I hug them close
"I love you two so much"
I murmur lovingly as they both lean further into me, resting my head ontop amity's I close my eyes. Patting my shoulder I look at rose with a smile,
"Can we go to the park todαy mami?"
Chuckling softly I kiss her forehead and say
"Sure.. then we can go to the beach to collect sea shells"
Amity looks at me with a grin, nuzzling my neck she says quietly
"Maybe you can go get icecream too.. you need to be out of the house for awhile babe"
Rolling my eyes playfully I say in a whisper against her neck
" I know it's my birthday buttercup.. I promise I'll stay at least five hours outside the house"
Jumping off rose squeals and demands happily
"Now mami, NOW!"
amity blows me a kiss from the doorway as I stand up and pick rose up with ease, pressing the kiss to my lips with my thumb amity smiles then disappears downstairs. Walking to the garage I set rose in her carseat, and buckle her up. Saying in a singsong voice
"Fingers sweetheart"
She pulls her hands back from the doorway before I shut the car door, getting into the driver's seat I start the car. Not even halfway out the driveway since I was inching to tease amity, amity steps onto the foot rail to lean in and kiss me
"Have fun you two.. hope to see you girls before evening"
Winking swiftly I drive off down the road to the tiny park in gravesfield rose so adamantly loves, I park easily into a parallel space. Getting out of the car I grap rose and press to the closed car door, another car speeds past us missing us by inches. Grumbling small threats to the driver like
'If you so much as tap my daughter with your car'
And anything related, setting her on the grass she instantly runs off
"Don't go to far rose!"
Sitting down onto the grass resting beside a large tree I watch rose run around until a tall trio sits in front of me
(I will categorize the girl as may, dark skinned boy as jake, and the dark red haired guy, gal, or nonbinary pal(???) as alex)
"Hey luz, it's been awhile!"
Smiling at may my eyes catch rose playing with a caterpillar, walking carefully to me rose sits down onto my lap and shows me the fluffy caterpillar.
"Look mami, it's a baby butterfly.."
Chuckling softly alex looks at me startled at how rose referred to me as 'mami', leaning against me as she places it on the bark of the tree she waves kindly to may, jake, and alex all three waving back. May's smile widens
"Now where on earth did this cutie come from luz?"
Alex remarks as they too smile, shaking my head I say with a chuckle
"Despite the card readings and all that wiccan stuff alex.. you wouldn't believe me"
They cross their arms followed in suit with may- jake is probably internally crossing his arms- they then challenge
"Try me-"
Leaning down to rose I ask quietly
"Are you comfortable with that rose? You don't have to"
She shakes her head no to stop me from continuing, and now I'm holding the ever so tiny hermes. Alex immediately picks up hermes and says in a squeal
"Oh my GOD she's adorable!"
Nervously standing up to the swift movement I look at hermes with an expression of concern, turning to alex jake says quietly
"Alex dude.. give her back you're frightening luz- that IS her kid after all"
Slightly shaken by how fast the events converged they're back to rose and clinging to me like a koala, sitting back down I say gently
"She's truly not even one yet- but she's physically four nearly five right now"
Falling asleep against me I rest my head against hers and listen to her even breaths, waving to me they walk off. Closing my eyes in comfort she scoots closer to me, smiling gently when she wakes up half an hour later I ask quietly
"Did you sleep well?"
Nodding gently she smiles then asks
"Can we get some icecream mami?"
Chuckling lovingly I stand up and nod, wrapping her legs around my middle she uses my arm as a seat. Walking to the icecream shop just two stores down from the coffee shop I walk into the warm room, the employee looks up from her magazine
"Hello, what can I get for you two?"
It takes no time for us to answer
"Triple chocolate mint chip"
Since it's easily one of the best flavors here, smiling gently at rose I add,
"Large and in waffle bowls please"
She nods gently then goes to scoop out our icecream, handing rose hers she carefully holds it with both of her hands, taking mine I slide us into a booth. Smiling gently as she messily eats her icecream I wipe chocolate off her cheek
"So messy.. you take after me well sweetheart- but you have the heart of a lion like your mama"

Walking to the car rose tightly holding my hand I look down at her with a smile, grabbing her out of the way of another speeding car- I wonder what the hell is up with people nowadays- god it's not even CLOSE to rush hour, putting her into her carseat I go to the driver's seat once I buckle her. Going to the beach I park on the hard pack, carrying her to the tide pools fifty feet away I set her down. Lifting up a sea star to the top of the water, I explain to her how you can if you wanted- make thousands of copies of a sea star just by removing one of it's points, giggling gently she pets it before I set it back in the water. Looking at my watch hours later I Pick her up, kissing her forehead I say quietly
"Mama's gonna worry soon love, we should head home.. and tell her about our awesome day"

"YOU DID WHAT?!"
amity's voice fills the garage causing rose to look stunned at her, her eyes fill with tears causing amity to panic more. Hugging rose close amity whispers multiple apologies to her, looking down at the floor I slug myself into a chair. Leaning my head against the wall I look into the corner like something's there, amity appears in front of me. Looking at her guilt pulling at my heart and expression I keep constant contact with her eyes,
"I told her she didn't have to do it ami.. I didn't force her to-"
Turning to rose amity whispers gently
"Go hang out with aunt vee for a minute... we'll join you"
Then it's just me and amity, climbing onto my lap she hugs me around the neck, her face burying into my collarbone. Leaning into her embrace I sigh gently,
" it's alright luz.. no need to hold yourself criminal for something trivial- you just startled me"
She scoots closer leaving no room as she hugs tighter, kissing her neck gently I say a few apologies to her. Pulling away from me she places a kiss upon my lips, a hum escaping from them in the tune of the birthday song. Parting slowly she says in a whisper
"Happy birthday baby... I hope the rest of your day is amazing"
Wrapping my arms around her I say in just as quiet a whisper
"It already is.."
Our lips brush together when the door opens, amity is off of me before the knob turns full circle, and I'm sitting there.. staring into blank space now a horny mess. Looking up at vee in the doorway I fold my leg over the other, turning towards amity I wink with my eye facing away from vee- she understands and creates a suddenly angry tension in the air, to mask the other aura lingering like the scent of wine. Pressing a surprisingly soft kiss to my lips she says in a stern though strained voice
" you're so stupid luz! But I love you for that, now come on get off your ass wildcat"
Joining her she grabs my hand and looks apologetically at me, giving her hand a gentle squeeze I walk into the too bright room. Squinting my eyes I look around the room as everyone including and co. Plus boscha says loudly
"Happy birthday!!"
Then mom turns the lights down to their normal setting not- blind your ass runway model spotlights. Sitting down I sneakily pull amity right onto my lap, her face goes red as mom chuckles. Burying my face in her shoulder I look at the embarrassingly large pile of presents. An hour later after all but one of the presents have been opened, everyone- except rose... starts giggling- for some reason. Warily opening the thin box to a fourty degree crack, I lift up the thin paper inside and see something very lacey and purple, shutting the box heavily closed I say quietly
"And this is what I love to call- not safe for young watching eyes-"
The whole room erupts into laughter, glaring at amity I say slightly thick with embarrassment
"Who put you up to this?--"
She flushes red under my gaze, pointing at herself and raising her finger, she then makes a circle around herself with her pointer fingers then cups her mouth to imitate laughing, pointing at rose she crosses her hands together. Giving me a finger gun she throws her hand up to the ceiling, winks, then spins her pointers around themselves like twiddling thumbs... it isn't true sign language but rough translation is:
'Mostly me, but everyone was included to make it a gag gift- rose not included. Though you can show me upstairs later if you wish dreamboat~'
The entire explanation lasted only a few seconds, since amity was rendered unable to speak because of my intense gaze. Heading upstairs once the gang hops through the portal back home, I lay down on my stomach on the bed. Sitting up I open the box and lay out the flattering piece, patting my sides up- then down I get a kinda rush of absolutely no body confidence at all. Slipping it on after cutting the tags off I dig through my now grown silk pjs, and finally find the purple shorts that matches the set- since they came from the same brand. Pulling them over the bottoms I feel less naked and take a quick glance at myself in my closet mirror, atleast comfortable with the lace on the top flowing until three inches below the waistband. I jerk my head towards the opening door to see amity, trying my hardest to make it seem like I'm studying myself in the mirror- despite it really not helping- I end up looking like a dork. God I don't look good in this... Sighing heavily I look at the floor, she hugs me from behind her lips tracing along my shoulder in brush like kisses. Leaning into her touch I close my eyes, sighing once I pull away and say with slight resentment for the piece.
"Alright am.. thats enough for one night- I really don't like this thing one bit"
After pulling on the matching top to my shorts I fold it and slip it back in the box, she sits carefully onto my lap. Hugging her waist I press my lips to her spine then travel to her shoulder,
" I assume you don't enjoy that- kind.. of clothing?"
Kissing her neck I remark almost in a whisper
" I enjoyed you in that blue one ami~ I just don't feel too.. how should I place this- comfortable with my body in that particular piece.."
Turning around to face me I place my hands on her waist, her hands guide themselves along my bare stomach as I try to understand what she is doing. I swear my heart skips a beat like my old one when her hands slip onto my inner thighs then returns to my outer,
"Don't die on me again luz.. I can hear your heart go wild"
Chuckling softly in a nervous manner I look at her with an unknowing of her intentions.. is she trying to comfort me? Check out my muscles? Am I going to be topped?- that would be a dream- maybe she expected me to stay in it longer.. her hands go back to teasing my inner thighs when I hear rose say excited
"Yayyy cuddle time!!"
Noooo! Honey please don't think of it like thaaattt- oh lord this is embarrassing.. amity pulls rose in to sit her on my thighs. running one finger across my throat, then downwards over my right eye I cross my hands- and here commences the fake sign language fight since rose does not need to hear us, as that starts off with
'Traitor, no fair!'
She rolls her eyes with a smile
'Not my fault rose came in when you looked exciting~'
Rose is already asleep against amity as I reply with a multiple mash of whatever the fuck my hands are doing.
'Don't tease me! I'll be all... blushy and..stuff-'
She carefully sets rose on the covers behind us then hugs me, closing her eyes I chuckle loving
"Aw.. c'mon ami- I was just joking.. I don't mind if you tease me"
Laying down on the covers I pull them both into our now nightly basis cuddle position where I lay on my back, amity rests her ear on my collarbone- but her face always ends up hidden against my neck, and rose is in a loose ball her head rested comfortably ontop my bicep. Looking at amity I smile, kissing me lovingly we close our eyes simultaneously, and fall asleep...

(Amity's POV)
On ALL the days my birthday could've landed, it just HAD to be Halloween- great. Maybe that's why mom said I was a demon, not because of my extraordinarily great powers- but because I was born on the day all humans 'pretend' to hang witches, and use the excuse of the holiday to dress up as Lucifer. Some random ass lady when I was walking through the bath and body works, just walked up to me and luz then started to conversate heavily about how
"I'm glad it's devil's day, I get to shut my porch light off and pray to my god til midnight"
But what's funny is that I believe walspurgis day was on the last day of April and spans from that afternoon into the afternoon of may first then ends- and not Halloween. So me and luz laughed about it in the food court despite rose not even understanding what was funny, what's even FUNNIER is that in the boiling isles? It doesn't even exist as a holiday let alone day, so she is sooo wrong about any form of demons religion- we really don't have much of one either.
Watching rose struggle to sip her soda I bend the silly straw slightly to help her, she smiles and says happily
"Thank you mama!"
Her attention goes back to the laminated playing cards of luzes glyphs, and the multiple other's she'd learnt- like one to assist in rising abominations, one to help make illusions, healing, and countless others despite her not needing them anymore. Looking over at my art pad still empty under my pencil, I suddenly look at luz.. still no motivation.. fucking art block. Rose scoots closer to me, resting on my side she yawns. Wrapping my arm around her I mouth gently
"Time to go home?"
Luz nods slowly, packing our leftover food in to-go boxes I lift rose into my arms, her small arms wrapping halfway around my neck. Walking behind luz a smile on my face as rose rubs her face into my shoulder, I look around at many other women glaring at me for carrying a four year old- five as of today- because of my obvious age. One of which looks remarkably like luz, kissing her forehead when she stirs a little bit I whisper,
"It's alright.. we'll be in the car in a minute"
Then she instantly falls asleep again. Luz walks up to a dark skinned boy and he smiles at the sight of her
"How's my sister from another mother?"
They do a small handshake then chuckle, luz looks my way and smiles lovingly. He looks at me then rose, chuckling suddenly he says in a remark
"So this little birthing glyph is the cause of all the rumors right now?"
Luz clears her throat before correcting 'shiftor palisman' but then raises an eyebrow
"Rumors?.. What rumors max?"
He nods with a frown, and crosses his arms. Rubbing rose's back slowly as she opens her eyes I smile at her, earning a smile back. Trading into luzes arms, rose rests on her and looks at max. He looks at luzes suddenly aggravated expression, luz then whispers
"Dickhead nine o'clock-"
Then I'm given a heart melting kiss as soon as a boy yells out
"Hey!"
Then there's a quick 'oh', max turns around and stares angrily at the blonde haired boy of which is about to slap luz- literally. I stare at luz a moment not understanding, me and luz step back a moment. Max instantly puts a hand angrily on the blonde boys chest when he goes to assume a defensive position, and being the tall muscular african man max is, the boy suddenly looks like a mouse.
"Step out of my conversations samuel- I have had enough of your protective bullshit. You have ruined so many of my relationships- and friendships. all because you think you're still my boyfriend"
Sam steps back and glares at luz- who is playing go fish with the glyph cards again with rose, his gaze runs across mine and I can tell my current expression is frightening enough to see him panic. Sitting beside luz, max sits on the bench beside me
"Back to what I was saying- alot of women.. since august- no shit. Had complained on and on, but last week I had to diffuse a damn riot, because the Karen's were complaining that teenage lesbians should not have a four year old. And because.. all Karen's mindsets are on their beliefs, they keep on saying your little mi hija has Stockholm syndrome all because she's shy."
Handing rose my sketchpad when she asks quietly for it, I pull loose locks of her two and a half inch hair back to her ear. Max chuckles slightly at rose's adorable happiness, luz smiles softly
"Hey rosie, weren't you just a minute ago passed out?.. I will never understand how you can get energy that fast mini messenger"
She looks up at luz with a small smile, I instantly recognize it as a tired smile- for luz? Apparently not.. I suppose that's my maternal instincts. And after about fifteen minutes of distracted conversation, rose starts getting emotional grouchy. Wiping the tears from her face she looks at me close to exhaustion, standing up once I get my notebook back into my sidebag. Gently grabbing luzes hand I slide my hand down until our fingertips linger, just barely touching. She looks up at me, standing up to join me she smiles.
"We've got to go.. nice seeing you max"
Walking out to the car I carefully place rose in her carseat, hopping into the passenger seat I smile at luz. Her hand habitually runs over my thigh, placing my hand ontop of hers she heads thirty minutes out to the spirit Halloween. Rose wakes up from her little power nap as I go to lift her up, rubbing her eyes she asks quietly
"Where are we..?"
Nuzzling her forehead with a few butterfly kisses I say gently
"Halloween store.. we're going to overload on candy for the next week"
Walking through the costumes rose gripping my hand as we browse she stops, looking over at her I chuckle when she lifts up a spiderman costume. And surprisingly for a generic Halloween store- it looks actually good kinda like it's one of those "deluxe super expensive high quality Halloween costume- spiderman. Costumes for kids" that you see on Amazon. Chuckling softly I pull her into a hug and remind in a whisper,
"Just candy rose.. we have magic remember? We can look like pro cosplayers with just a simple spin of a finger"
She instantly looks excited, hugging me tightly we go join luz in the opposite aisle. Already multiple bulk bags in hand she smiles lovingly at me and rose, purchasing the candy we head back into the car. Taking the long way home I look at luz, raising an eyebrow I ask confused
"Alright wildcat- what's on your mind?"
She shakes her head with a chuckle
"I'm so cosplaying as a mix of deadpool and deadshot, they're damn near identical despite one being marvel and the other DC- you cannot steer me wrong from my neutral position on the two."
Suddenly imagining the badass costume idea that'd be I smirk widely, sighing in comfort I look out the window. Opening up my eyes to see luz carrying me on her side, while her other hand is occupied with rose's. Wrapping my arms around her neck I mumble
"How long was I asleep..?"
She kisses my forehead and murmurs a quiet ' mi mumbly bumbly bee' before replying,
"Just a little over thirty minutes- it's alright you'll have time to wake up by thirty after eight.."
Sighing Gently I rub my face into her shoulder, beginning to grumble when she sits down she murmurs teasingly
"So grumpy~"
Then I hear her say a few words in Spanish and rose leaves the room with a loud,
"Autie vee! Let's watch kipo again!!"
Laughing echos up the stairs from camilla and vee. Luz lays on her back and runs her hand down my recut to four inch hair, but now the top is a light creamy blonde, while my sides are still a light brown. Running her fingers through my hair she asks quietly
"So.. I've already changed my mind.. I believe a couples cosplay should be arranged- what do you say spider-gwen.? your hair matches-"
Chuckling softly I remark quietly
"And that makes you the teenage hellion that adores to vandalize with stickers, and spray paint graffiti with his uncle, all the while his cop father is unknowing?"
She whispers a soft 'you know it' before kissing me passionately, I lean into her touch, there's a few mmh's before she parts. Running my thumb along her lower lip I pull it down slightly at the center, she smiles to my touch. There's a loud thud against the door and we suddenly hear a song blazing something luz remembers vividly
"I smell sex and candy, yeah~"
The song plays on as luz panics when she hears rose ask ever so innocently
"What's sex?"
We both instantly jump up, me locking the door but luz is on the computer, blocking all searches under the query word 'sex' and the multiple other words connected. Vee says with a chuckle
"Nothing sweetheart- I suggest you never repeat the words of that song anywhere.. not even here-"
There's a short bummed 'okay..' then their footsteps retreat down the stairs, luz catches me before my body can comprehend that I was panicking so hard.
" I am gonna have a nice.. long talk with vee before we leave-"
Spinning me in a circle to see if I'd regained my balance, I plant firmly onto her chest with a short slightly breathless 'oof' when she pulls me back in.
"You know- you're not that amazing a cushion when I'm being pulled towards you full speed-"
I manage to say once my mind stopped spinning off fantasies like a top, she chuckles and presses her mind-meltingly soft lips to my jawline.

Using a sort of illusion spell that makes illusions permanent, I summon damn near movie grade spiderman costumes of our three preferred- I feel like a pro cosplayer at megacon. I did kinda reference a cosplay makers spidey suit to help. Helping rose into hers I tap a small 'tap sensor' next to her ear so she can see, black covers move away from the kinda iridescent lenses like a camera. Looking at luz she smiles at me before slipping on the mask, lifting up rose I smile at her
"My little Tom Holland... you look awesome rose"
She slips on my mask for me, watching the cover fold away I blink a few times. Feels cool to see through the lenses, the hexes refracting light like miniature prisms. Walking to the front door vee chuckles, looking at her half basilisk and maya trying to replicate her look I give her a finger gun. Slipping off the mask I blink back my vision, setting rose down it only takes a second for her to be out the door and luz to chase her panicked. Waving to maya and vee I walk out to join luz, slipping on my mask while I'm at it. Tons of kids-and one accompanying seventeen year old- run past us but stop to stare at our costumes. If the fabric had a way to show emotion, it'd look so uncomfortable. Lifting up rose she tightly hugs my neck, hiding against me she whispers
"They're making me scared"
Luz places her hand on the small of my back and heads down to the more larger streets, placing rose onto my shoulder she giggles. Suddenly looking at luz I ask swiftly
"Did you make an illusion to get rid of your tits??-"
Pulling down the hidden zipper she pulls away the tanktop at the top to reveal the binder, nodding once she zips it back up.
"Illusions feel too weird- I'd rather look trans- mad respect by the way. Than "lucas" with an illusion spell."
Smiling gently I lean onto her, being the large city- where MorterSporr reigns- that it is, it's alot more common to see popular cosplayers. Looking at the Hawkeye ten feet away I chuckle, suddenly looking at luz I see her pointing at another Miles Morales spiderman. Pulling off my mask to get actual fresh air I see the second jump a mile in interest, luz looks at me then to the other. Based upon her stiff stance I can tell she's offended that he's checking me out- intensely, looking at him with an expression of slight disgust I give him a thumbs down. There's sudden purring behind me, both sounds two different animals. Turning around I hug raven and naomi, amber chuckles slightly then freezes. She looks at rose having not seen her in human form before, pointing at rose when she lifts her mask off like me she points at luz
"When- where- how??"
Rose purses her lips to whistle a nearly inaudible bat squeal, raven instantly takes rose into a hug. Giggling loudly at raven she says raven's personal nickname
"Venven!"
Amber gets a pat on the back from luz as she says swiftly
"Hermes?! That's you??"
Reaching out to naomi she gladly takes her, sam smiles at her girlfriend gently who absolutely adores her 'little sister'. Rose looks at sam and says shyly
"She's new.."
Naomi smiles softly and says introducing sam
"Rosie, this is sam my girlfriend. I don't live in the same dimension as you so her moms are Willow and boscha but only thirty eight, I've told a great deal of good about you"
Gently grabbing Sam's hand naomi warns with a smile
"She bites love- she's the same as Phoenix and you know how she gets when she meets new people"
Jumping when luz hugs me from behind I turn around and angrily hit her shoulder, she chuckles lovingly at me
"Don't scare me like that! You remember the last time you did that!"
Luz grimaces and says grumbling
"I accidentally got hot coffee thrown on me-"
Escaping from her grip I rest my hand carefully on her neck to silently say 'I love you', turning my attention back to naomi and sam I stare wide eyed at rose giggling happily in Sam's arms. Looking at me rose says excited
"Mama, mami!! I like her she's funny!"
Sam snickers gently her face covered in a bright smile, passing rose to luz sam says with chuckles
"She's absolutely precious- I wouldn't mind being stuck in a room with that doll and she-ra on repeat"
Raising an eyebrow I suddenly ask
"Is it the same?"
Shaking her head no she says with a chuckle
"Glimmer and bow are practically the same but catra is she-ra, adora is.. oh my titan"
Damn near losing the entirety of her breath, she nearly breaks her phone trying to juggle it from her pocket. Pulling up a photo of this- very butch lesbian adora with short hair and a scar stretching from her collarbone to shoulder obviously horde. Luz coughs slightly and remarks
"I'd let her crush me with her thighs-"
Instantly slapping the back of her head I say kinda shocked
"Luz!-"
She gives me a side glance and smile that just radiates
'I'd let you too'
Slipping my mask on to hide my blush I try to stay as normal as I possibly can, turning to amber I chuckle actually normal.
"She's wild-"
I say through the chuckles while amber smiles, sitting on the bench a couple feet from me I look out at the darkening sky. Rose crawls onto my lap and digs out a jolly rancher stick from the Halloween themed pillowcase, hugging rose I smile. She pulls my mask off and hands me a blue raspberry one,
"Thank you rose- god you're too sweet.. I don't know what I'm gonna do if you go to college"
She frowns and asks
"What's.. col-lege?.."
I'd gotten so used to her being a little human girl I forgot she was a palisman
"It's where.. you know how MorterSporr is a private highschool?"
She nods gently and scoots closer to me, putting the jolly rancher in my mouth halfway I continue
"It's where eighteen year olds like me go after highschool, helps get bigger jobs like writing, animation, medical and emergency, and many others."
Adjusting rose slightly I laugh and remark suddenly
"Goodness you're getting almost too big to be on my lap, I curse mami for making my little baby big"
Kissing her forehead I hug her close, leaning against me she giggles. Looking up at luz or atleast I thought it was I frown- great.. other miles is here. Looking up at him uncomfortably I ask strained
"May I help you?"
Cringing away from him when he sits beside me I scoot away, he nods and pulls off his party city looking mask.
"I couldn't help but think you looked pretty hot when you took your mask off, do you maybe want to go out for drinks?"
Instantly standing up I shake my head no, he looks butthurt but by the smell on his breath? That courage has appeared. He steps forward but I'm already comfortably in between luz and raven, who are chatting happily away with an uncomfortable naomi. She hits luzes arm and points at him, looking at him angrily she steps up to him- hm he's alot shorter than I thought.
"Dude have you been lurking around trying to get near my fiancee??"
She uses the last word very seriously to try and get the hint through his head, looking at the ring I'd made slipped over the fabric I pass rose to the waiting sam. Crossing my arms I rub the bridge of my nose
"Why is it that men always look at the rings and then luz, and still think I'm straight?"
Naomi shrugs and pats my shoulder, rose suddenly asks
"What's.. straight? Like a line? Or.."
Chuckling softly I say as.. basic- I really can't do basic but I can say.
"Straight is where a female likes men, or the opposite when a male likes women- another term is heterosexual. Our family is pretty unique love.. from the kids to parents, we like girls. Mami likes boys too but she leans to girls more, that is called bisexual. In no way is our family normal sweetheart, we like to be us. And right now? Mami is fighting off a drunkard who thinks I'm straighter than the American flags pole. "

Placing rose on the twin in the old nursery room camilla had repurposed for rose I kiss her forehead,
"Sweet dreams rosie.."
Hugging me around the neck she let's go, plugging in the bat nightlight I shut the lights off. Joining luz in bed I kiss her, wrapping my arms around her neck I smile.
"Rose is asleep.. but I expect she'll demand you in the morning"
Resting comfortably on her side I close my eyes.
