Faustine the Sensible

Prologue

Over the dim flickering light of a bubbling cauldron peered a woman with eyes of crystalline blue, reciting words she had waited anxious years to utter.  The weather outside her cottage, deep within The Forbidden Forest, was picking up for quite a heavy storm. The branches writhed ferociously as if engaged in a chaotic dance. Winds howled with such tenacity that if one listened closely one might hear voice is on the wind.  One of warning, "take heed, take heed. One among you does evil indeed." Another reciting, "Trouble is near, trouble is here. Now Fear and chaos everywhere." And the last, "I creep, I cry, I see with my own eye for what you were born and now you must die."
