I was in a meeting with my employees when my phone buzzed with a notification...
Interestingly that notification was from Divi.....

As soon as I read this I started laughing in the middle of the meeting.... My employees started looking at me with shocked faces while Advi and Saijal gave me a very confused look...
"Sir, is everything alright?" Saijal asked me...
"Yes Sai- Miss Gupta please carry on..." I almost messed up and called Saijal by her first name....
Advi started speaking and I again gave my attention to Divi....

Hahahahahahah! Atleast, you were thinking of me!
There came an instant reply...

I looked up from my phone and noticed that only Advi and Saijal were left in the room and were giving me weird looks
"Kya hua?" I asked trying to hide my smile....
"bhai aap theek ho na? you are scaring us!" Advi sounded genuinely scared...
"Haan Ved! tabse we were asking you something but y0ou were just smiling looking at your phone!" Saijal pointed it out......
Shit! I am stuck now! If I tell them that I was texting Divi, they will tease me to no ends...
"Main theek hoon!" I said like a normal person would say it....
"Pakka na? Waise aapne apne phone main aisa kya dekh liya jo aap itna smile kar rahe the?" Advi asked me...
"Kuch nahi! bus aise he!" Kya boloon main? Apne biwi ke saath flirt kar raha tha?
"main bus hamari progress report dekh kar khush ho raha tha!" I made an excuse....
Ved didn't look convinced at all while Saijal was doing something on her phone and looked up...
"Company ki progress report ya phir Divi aur apne relationship ki progress report Mr.Oberoi! and come on yaar! Ranbir Kapoor ka dialogue? Kuch original karta!" Of course she knows! Why thr fuck am I surprised? After all She is Divi's best friend!
"Matlab?" Advi asked confused...
"Matlab, Ved sir meeting ke beech main apni wife se chatting kar rahe the!" Advi looked at me shocked!
"What! Don't look at me like that!" I said feeling unconscious...
"The Ved Singh Oberoi, meeting main text kar rahe the! Woh bhi apni biwi ko! And the cherry on the cake is ki aap bhabhi ke oopar Ranbir Kapoor ke dialogues try kar rahe the! Bhai kamaal hai haan! Aap ek kaam karo aaj off lelo aur bhabhi ke saath time spend karo! Poora time alag alag dialogues try karna!" Advi started laughing along with Saijal, embarrasing me to the core...
"Shut up! I am going to my cabin!" I said while getting up...
"Haan haan bhai jaao jaao! Bhabhi ko pre-lunch call karlo! Aapkp acha feel hoga" Advi said bursting into another round of laughter......
I walked in my cabin only to see Rudy sitting there...
"Kya hua Rudy?" I asked....
"Bhai please yeh explain kardo... this is making no sense to me...." I can see that Rudy is genuinely working very hard....
I took the document from his hand and made him understand what it was....
All the explaining took me 2 hours....
"Thank you bhai!" Rudy said while getting up...
"I'll file these reports..." He continued...
"Rudy!" I stopped him....
"Haanji bhai"
"Tune lunch kiya?" I asked...
"Kahaan bhai? abhi toh bahut kaam hai" He sounded tired...
"Chal baith... lunch karte hain"
"But bhai kaam..." He tried to refuse...
"Oye! Chup chap baith ja! Itna impress karne ki zaroorat nahi hai" I said while asking him to sit on the sofa...
I asked the peon to get us food...
Our lunch was served....
Rudy's phone started ringing....
"Bhai please speaker par karo na my hands are dirty" I nod and put the phone on speaker without looking at who was calling....
"Hello!" Rudra says...
"Rudra!" A female voice replys...
Rudy looks at me and then at the phone...
"Yes Jiya" Ohh It's his girlfriend's call.... This will be fun!
"What's wrong baby?" She asked softly...
The look on Rudy's face is worth a million dollars!
"Jiya tu-" He was cut off by her..
"What baby! You're calling me Jiya again... kya hua hai?"
"tu sunn toh-" He was again cut by her....
"Pehle apna account number de jaldi!" She asked like a stubborn kid and Rudy told her without thinking about anything...
I was looking at him shocked.... He looked at me and then said..
"Sunn.. I'll talk to you later abhi I am having lunch with Ved bhai..."
"You should've told me pehle na! Anyways bye! I love you and say my hi to jiju!"
"Haan bye!" He said uncomfortably..
"Reply toh karde yaar!" She whined...
"Jiya try to understand"
"Rudra yaar! tu rehne de! tujhse nahi ho paayega! papa has been asking to meet you but tu busy reh!"
"Jiya!"
"Fuck off yaar! mujhe nahi baat karni!" And she cut the call...
Rudy sighed....
"Sorry bhai! I'll just go wash my hands..." Rudy said sadly....
"Lunch toh poora karle!"
"I don't feel like it....." He said sadly...
"Chup chap lunch poora kar!" He nodded and continued eating....
Should I say it? Or should I not interfere.... I don't wanna judge her but the way she asked for Rudy's account number and then created a scene... It doesn't seem right...
Rudy's phone pinged with a message.... he looked at it and smiled while shaking his head....
"Kya hua?" I asked intrigued...
"kuch nahi bhai!" I won't interfere if he doesn't want me to...
I need to look after him! I should just say it and get it over with!
"Rudy I should not interfere... But I just can't help but notice the way you casually told her about your account number.."
"Ohh bhai! It's Jiya! Isne kabhi apne birthday ke ilawa mujhse aajtak gift nahi liya kyunki isko lagta hai ki woh aapke paise hain! Aur abhi dekho usne paise trnasfer kare hain... abhi peeche we went out... we usually split the bill but last time she didn't have her wallet by chance toh I had paid for it bus wahi paise she transferred right now!" Ohh! I feel terrible now!
"Sorry yaar! "
"It's ok bhai! you were just looking out for me!"
We had our lunch and he went away...
I was working when Saijal came in my cabin....
"Yes Saijal..."
"ved here are the resumes for the new placements please go through them....." I nodded...
"Saijal then send Advi here.. and you also come.. I want to get done with it by today only..." She nodded and went away...
I had started looking through them when Saijal and Advi joined me...
All of us were doing our work when Advi called me...
"Bhai!"
"Haan"
"Yeh resume, ek baar dekhna!" I looked at it and I was pretty impressed....
"Isko toh job dedo..."
"But bhai yeh Jiya ka resume hai...." Saijal looked up at us....
"Jiya matlab Divi ki behen Jiya?" I confirmed...
"Haan bhai! Jiya matlab Rudy ki girlfriend Jiya..." Advi pointed it out...
"woh uski girlfriend hai toh kya farak padhta hai?" I asked....
"Rudy ki productivity par effect hua toh?" Advi asked me...
"Nahi padhega meri guarantee hai!" I said and handed the file to Saijal...
we continued our work and it was soon over..
"I am so tired" said while stretching my back....
I looked at the clock and realized that it was already 8 and Divi had asked me to come early...
"Let's go home now!" I said
"tum log jao I have work here" Saijal said...
"Saijal! teri best friend meri jaan lelegi please chal" I said while thinking of Divi....
"But Ved-" She tried to refuse....
"Dekh bahut mushkil se mera ghar bus raha hai! tu kyun mera ghar ujadna chahti hai?" I said dramatically making both Saijal and Advi laugh....
"Ab chalo yaar! main genuinely bahut thak gaya hoon..." I said and we moved out....
We called Rudy...
"Aap log ghar chalo main aata hoon... Advi bhai aap please Ved bhai ki gaadhi main chale jao" With that he ran to the door making me shake my head...
I am excited to see Divi after a whole day!
Advi and Saijal were talking about something while I was thinking about my Divi....
What am I supposed to talk to her about? Matlab what do husbands and wives talk about? Urgh! I think I'll be just myself and she likes me! toh it should be easy only!
We soon reached home...
I rang the bell and Riya opened it...
"Hi Di!" Riya greeted Saijal...
"Hi Riya!" Saijal and Riya started talking while I entered inside hoping to find Divi....
"Arre Ved aa gaya tu!" I heard maa exclaim and I swear my heart burst out of happiness...
I looked at her with a small smile and she called me towards her...
I simply put my head in her lap and laid down on the sofa itself....
Lying in her lap after so long felt so good! The feelings can't be explained....
"Ved, paani...." I heard Divi and I looked up to see my beautiful wife offering me water...
