All morning I was complaining about going to school, I was worried some guards were still after me so I spent the night at my secret tree house which I built in the forest not so far from my house, To be honest but this tree makes me feel more at home that my actual house. part of me wanted to go meet my family but the other part didn't want me to get to close to anyone, I mean what happened with Stacey was already enough. I trust people and they change or just leave and abandon me, that same part of me wants to give in and tell someone about everything, to trust, to be happy, to be a kid and most of all to be loved
"RING! RING! RING" I damaticly rolled my eyes in my head when the school bell rang for first period. I was late but i didn't really care, I strolled to my first class which was algebra and I sat at the very back were nobody see's me. As I look out the window I see two black cars pull up to the front of the school, I didn't really think anything of it until I saw them, Three boys came out of each car and with that in mind I knew it was my brothers. So many things went through my mind but all my thoughts were interupted when they saw me, I locked eyes with the tallest one which I think was the eldest, he told something to the rest of the boys and they all looked my way. At that moment I knew that they knew who I was, I picked up my bag and shoved all my books into it and ran out of the class with my teachers voice coming from the room. I ran to my locker since I needed my keys and gun which I keep incase something happens in school, as I was running through the empty hallways of my school I bumped into a wall or a person, I looked up to see three of my brothers in front of me, I turned to run in the other direction but the other three was already infont of me aswell, they all formed a circle around me and looked at me intensely. I gave them a cold glare which i could see suprised them
"Stop running Emily, we only want to take you home" I turned around to see a boy who looked older than me but still around my age and next to him was another boy who looked exactly like him but a scarier version, I'm guessing they're twins. As all of them were looking I bring my bag to the front of me and grabbed my note book and wrote "Leave me alone, I'm not coming and yous can't make me" As I looked up from my note book I saw them with raised eyebrows and tilted heads I just rolled my eyes and put my note book up for them to read what I wrote down, after they read my note we all just stood there in silence, I knew they were thinking about why I wrote in a note booked instead of talking but with my problem I can't speak duh. I was still standing there looking at them when finally the one of the other boys who looked older than the twins spoke.
"I GOT IT" He said in a loud voice which made me flinch, loud voices always made me flinch since nick always yelled and cussed at me which from a very young age scared me. I think they noticed and one of them tryed to comfort me but I moved away.
"What are you talking about idiot" said a the boy next to him, he looked around my age maybe 17 or something, we all looked at him before going back to the boy who spoke
"Your mute aren't you" He said with a calm and soft voice, All of them turned to me as I looked up and nodded then I wrote down "Im leaving" they all looked at me with blank faces before the young looking one tried to grab me, I reacted out of instinct, I grabbed his hand and bent it back till he yelled in pain, I didn't want to hurt him or any of them so I let go and watched him on the floor in pain, both twins came towards be and tried going for my hands, I grabbed the nice looking ones arms and quickly pushed him behind me so he would trip but before tripping I turned and kicked him in the back making him fall harder that he should of, I turned and saw the scarier twin looking at me with his eyes filled with anger and if looks could killed then i'd be long gone. He came foward and quickly grabbed my wrist, I tried kicking him in the nuts but he caught my leg with his other hand. I punched him on the right cheek and his grab loosened, with that I kicked his nuts and watched as he bent down to the ground
"You b*tch" He said with anger filled in his voice, I looked around to see the other two still on the floor and then turned to see the other three staring at me with wide eyes. The tallest one which I asumed was the eldest came forward and grabbed me firmly, I tried fighting and kicked but nothing worked it was like he was a robot built to feel nothing. As he held me in place he injected me with something and then everything turned black....
As my eyes slowly started to lift themselves up I looked around to see that I was in a private jet
I looked to the side to see all my brothers around me watching like I was some kind of prey. I could see that the scary twin was still kinda upset for what I did to him and the other two, all three of them were holding ice packs and groaning from pain. I looked around for my bag so I can grab my note book incase I needed it
The oldest stood up and went into a room while we all waited in silence, when he came back he had my bag in hand and gave it to me before sitting back down
"Emily?" I turned to see the boy who looked a little older then the twins, I raised my eyebrow telling him to continue
"Why are you mute?" he said with a calm voice, I think he was trying to be nice about it and not push any buttons, I quickly wrote "Its none of your business" and looked away as they read my note, I then looked towards my bag and started digging for my journal. Unlike other people who write about how their day went and their secrets I like to write music. I don't sing unless I'm at my secret tree house, no ones ever heard me sing besides my only friend Ava
It's finally time, Me and my brothers stopped infront of a small school which was said Emily goes too, All of us got out of the two cars we came in and stood side by side looking at the school in silence. We all looked over to see that Adam locked eyes with a girl who looks the same age as Emily should be
"Thats her" Adam said still looking at the girl who just looked back, It didn't take long for us to see the resemblance she had with our father. She had his big blue eyes that looked like the deep blue ocean and pitch black hair like the night sky, We all looked at her and her eyes widened slightly before going back to it's blank look. she knew who we were and as she sat there still staring, she started packing her bag and then she ran, Me and my brothers split up in three and looked for her around the school, as we were walking up the hallway we saw her at her locker grabbing stuff and putting it into her bag, she didn't seem to be paying attention and she bunped into Adam, as she looked up I saw my three younger brothers walking up behind her, she turned to try run but the boys were already there blocking her way, we quickly made a circle around her as she stood there looking unbothered
"Stop running Emily, we only want to take you home" Said Aiden, we all looked at her as she reached for her bag and grabbed a note book we all looked closely, As she finished she put the book up in front of us and it wrote "Leave me alone, im not coming and yous can't make me" when we finished reading she put the book down and stood there looking at everyone with boredom as if she already knew this would happen and thats when it clicked, The note book, The silent treatment, The understanding bored look, SHE'S MUTE
"I GOT IT" I accidently yelled out, all eyes focused on Emily when she flinched from the loudness, Liam stepped towards her to probably comfort her but she moved away, I looked over to Liam who looked hurt and sad
"What are you talking about idiot" Said Dominic from next to me, of course they wouldn't notice they never do, I like observing people and picking out little details normal people might not notice but unlike me my brothers have other special skills that make them unique
"Your mute aren't you" I said with a calm and clear voice so she could hear, All eyes moved from me to Emily as she nodded, she quickly wrote "Im leaving" she gave all of us a cold glare before trying to move out from the circle, Dominic tried grabbing her but she grabbed his hand first and bent it back, she eventually left go as Dominic yelled in pain clutching his hand, Me,Liam and Adam stood there with our eyes wide as the twins moved forward. She quickly pushed Aiden past her and kicked him to the ground which would leave a bruise on his back, Caiden came towards her and gripped her wrist, she tried kicking but he blocked her, she punched him on the cheek and kicked him in the nuts as he loosened his grip and fell to the ground shouting
"You b*tch"
As she looked around to see that my brothers are still on the ground, she looked at us blankly like nothing happened, I looked over at Adam who looked like he was gonna blow. I was just standing there full of shock I mean how can she fight like that her moves were so swift it was like she practiced this for years. Adam walked up to her and held her in place with her trying to fight off of him, as he injected her with a sleeping serum she slowly drifted off and her eyes closed completely. Me and Liam went to help Dominic and the twins who were still in pain while Adam waited with Emily in his hands holding her bridal style
As we made our way into our private jet we heard whimpering and immediatly looked over at Emily who was moving around in Adam's arms mumbling something, Adam put her down on a chair and sat in the one next to her holding her hand, we all took our seats and watched her calm down. Dominic stood up and went to get ice packs for him and the twins as we all waited, When he came back she started opening her eyes and looking around til she spotted us.
She stared at the twins and Dominic who were holding the ice packs to there bruises while groaning then she looked around the room searching for something, as if on cue Adam left the room and came back holding her bag
She went through her bag and grabbed her note book
"Emily?" I questioned as she raised her eyebrow signaling me to continue
"Why are you mute? I asked with a calm voice. She quickly wrote "Its none of your business" and avoided eye contact
She then went through her bag and brought out a journal and started writing something. She looked so tired yet so deep in thought and she soon drifted off to sleep.
