Q&A
Q: Who’s your favorite character in JJK?
A: My favorite character would be Nanami Kento, no second thoughts. His simple characteristics mixed with this odd and charming complexity underneath (and the fact that he’s one of the most functioning and well-mannered adults in JJK) makes him more appealing.
Q: Which is the easiest character to write and which ones do you struggle with?
A: The easiest character for me to write is Nanami followed closely by Megumi and Itadori while I struggle with Gojo (when it comes to his inner workings), Geto (I’m just unfamiliar with him, he feels so foreign even though I know him and have read about him) and finally, it’s difficult to write Mahito and Naoya only because I hate their character so getting the inspiration in writing them is hard. I don’t even know why I included them in the list, probably because I like the challenge? Yeah, maybe that’s it.
Q: What’s your favorite anime other than JJK?
A: The top of my favorite list would be Haikyuu. There’s not a single character that I dislike and I honestly love all of them. The plot, character development, progression and ending never disappointed me. Attack on Titan, that series was a masterpiece from start to ending. Some might say that they didn’t like the ending but I’m a sucker for tragedies and I can’t imagine any other way that it could’ve canonically end. My Hero Academia, Gakuen Babysitters, Hunter x Hunter, Mob Pycho 100, Gintama, Bungou Stray Dogs and Hyouka are all close to third place. But, I guess, my favorites changes like the weather so don’t quote me on that.
Q: Any movies you would recommend? TV shows?
A: Honestly, I’m not much of a TV watcher, you could say. Recently, all of my time has been on my phone, finishing up school works or watching messy videos and cute baby animal compilations on YouTube. But I recommend anticipating for the Percy Jackson adaptation that Disney was apparently making and unlike the Peter Johnson movies, Rick is actually included in the making so that’s reassuring. But other than that, a dear friend of mine said Lucifer is cool. And I low-key agree even if I haven’t watched that.
Q: What’s your favorite genre in movies?
A: Horror and psychological thriller. My least favorite would be extremely explicit ones with a lot of unnecessary gore and boring plot. Also, I’m not the biggest fan of superhero movies. It’s okay but I don’t love it. I also dislike teen movies and a lot of romcom. I enjoyed some but not a lot.
Q: What are some other characters from other anime you enjoy?
A: Some specific characters that I like are Dazai Osamu, his characters just so complex and deep that I want more back story and more of his perspective being revealed. Another one is Levi Ackerman because of the same reason as Dazai, the only difference is that we’ve already explored his back story and perspective that it really got to me. Kita Shinsuke, Oikawa Tooru and Miya Atsumu from Haikyuu are one my top favorites because of their wisdom, passion for volleyball and their hunger for it (respectively). And of course, Aizawa Shota from MHA. It’s okay to like a character solely for their appearance and all that but I just seem to gravitate towards characters with seemingly simple but complex being. It’s what draws me in. Just like how I was drawn to Nanamin and his ideologies and personality.
Q: Do you prefer anime or manga?
A: I will support a manga because that’s how we can have an anime adaptation in the first place but I admittedly watched more anime than I have ever read manga. Though, I’ve been hooked with manhwa these days.
Q: What degree are you going for? And I hope your finals went okay.
A: Finals already ended and I’m quickly approaching my second year of college. And I’m taking up a Bachelor of Arts in History. It’s certainly not my first choice (it’s not a choice I planned tbh) but I do have an inkling interest in it. And well, I’m thriving ‘cause I’m in the President’s list which is above being a Dean’s lister in my country. I may change course or not, but all I know is that some of the classes are interesting.
Q: What music do you listen to?
A: Anything that I like (whether it is because of the vibe, the massage or if I just like it for no reason), I listen to it. Though it’s mostly pop and instrumentals.
Q: Do you prefer challenges when writing original characters or good old cliché tropes?
A: I don’t have problems with both. I like writing challenging requests as much as I just love sitting back and letting my hands make up its versions of cliché tropes. I won’t condemn cliché tropes because I use a handful of them most probably. Also, you guys can be surprised but I like writing original characters more than the "x reader or (Y/N)" thing. Despite it being the first thing I published lmao. Although I just posted that cause people requested it before and I can’t write long stories to save my life. I might drop that after a few weeks.
Q: What’s your favorite genre to write?
A: Definitely tragedy. Right next to it is fluff and romance. As much as I like writing my characters end up dead though, I don’t like making them suffer petty drama (I personally hate romance with unnecessary love triangles, cheating, and all that stuff) and as much as those are a part of everyday life, I would rather have them under emotional turmoil because of an inevitable problem with terrifying ending (the type where you don’t know if they’ll end up dead or something). But I absolutely live for fluff and some light jealousy as well as AU contents. I also have an odd liking to time and dimension travelling.
Q: Who’s your least favorite character in JJK?
A: Mahito. End of conversation. Although, Zenin Naoya and his misogynistic ass is right next behind him as well as the whole Zenin clan, Toji (I dislike him as a human being but I'm fascinated in him as a character), the old man principal of Kyoto, and I have a weird dislike towards Mei Mei lol.
Q: How do you enjoy spending your off time?
A: Reading and sleeping. Nothing beats those two. Just chilling on my bed with my phone, music blasting thorough my earphones and slowly slipping to dreamland. I also send my time drawing, writing or watching my favorite shows (anime, YouTube videos, compilations, ect.)
Q: Do you prefer cold or warm weather?
A: I love the cold. The cool breeze and slightly damp atmosphere when it’s cold give me comfort and more reason to stay in bed and sleep.
Q: What kind of food do you enjoy?
A: Salty and savory foods. I enjoy junk foods too. I don’t like sweets that much and I hate overly spicy foods. Just enough is great but to the point where I can’t even taste the food? That’s a no-no.
Q: What is something that will make you straight up “nope” out of a fanfiction?
A: Cheating, NTR, toxic and abusive behaviors, when the main character is a himbo, weak-willed, is also edgy, have tons of trauma but is somehow still a functional human of this round planet, when they seem to only have backstabbing friends, abusive family, cheating lovers, been bullied in school…and well, I think you guys get the point. We love a good tragic backstory but…when it gets repetitive and when there seem to be nothing but cliffs for the main character to dive into, it gets boring. Also, when the story’s character’s personality is generally unpleasant, I’m automatically out.
Q: Have any preferences to pairings?
A: If you’re talking about my favorite ship dynamics then here’s a list:

Q: What’s the longest book or fanfiction you’ve read? Ditto for movies.
A: I experienced binge reading novels like “Trash of the Count’s Family” for three days straight and at that moment, that has 600+ chapters. It’s on 700+ now. Also, I think the longest movie I’ve watched is the Endgame?
Q: What’s the best fanfiction or story that you can read on repeat and recommend to someone?
A: Bruh, I legit don’t remember a lot of fanfictions I’ve read and I’m sure I’ve read a lot of masterpiece so I’ll just say “In Another Life” which is a BokuAka fanfic and this fanfic titled “Utopia” but I can’t remember the content. I only remember that it’s good. But if it’s story in general then “Lout of Count’s Family” (formerly known as Trash of the Count’s Family), Percy Jackson, and others that I can’t remember anymore.
Q: What kind of movies and TV shows do you prefer?
A: I’m not really into TV shows because my country’s drama series are…well, dramatic. They’re unbelievable, full of plot holes and the characters are either stupid, have amnesia, both or just dead. And some doesn’t even stay on their graves. So yeah, I don’t do TV shows.
Q: What manga is your current favorite?
A: Currently, it’s Haikyuu, JJK and Attack on Titan. But only because I haven’t read any manga in a while. Who knew college will literally drain all of you time? It was just yesterday when I attended an online election campaign for our university’s new student council lmao.
Q: How did you get introduced to manga and anime?
A: I’ve been watching anime for as long as I can remember. When I was in first grade (and even before that, maybe when I was still in daycare) or something, remember already looking forward to watching anime shows that we see on our TV every afternoon. That’s my introduction to this rabbit hole.
Q: What is the first anime/manga you’ve watched/read?
A: I can’t remember what manga I first read I think Black Butler counts because my friends showed me the manga when we were in Elementary. But the first anime I’ve watched is Yamato Nadeshiko — which was airing on the television.
Q: Do you have any guilty pleasure in anime, manga, movies or TV shows?
A: I dislike harem/reverse harem. They just – half of the time – look so cringe, illogical and straight up toxic but somehow, I still find myself watching reverse harem shows but then berate each and every character in the show that doesn’t have an ounce of common sense (I’m looking straight at Brother’s Complex, Diabolik Lovers, and shit).
Q: What movie/show/manga/anime is way too overhyped in your opinion and what isn’t hyped up enough?
A: I don’t really care much for how much “hype” a show can get because one way or another, it won’t really affect me. And if overhyped anime are the only things that can draw in audience into watching/reading anime/manga then I’m good. Although, personally, I find it odd how popular Re:Zero had become over the years. I guess, it’s just personal preferences.
Q: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
A: Definitely an introvert. I enjoy my alone times a lot where there’s peace and quiet. And while I also enjoy talking to my closest friends, socializing in general exhausts me. So I need to recharge quite often – and that means being MIA for a few days before popping up like a mushroom. I’m just glad to have found friends who understand my tendency to dip whenever I’m busy or tired without the need to contact them. Social gatherings take my souls away and I’m not a fan of small talks but would appreciate long and intelligent conversations. We used to debate for a lot of topics when that happens.
