being a kropp is not as easy as some people would think, if anything to the naked eyes we were the perfect family only we are far from it.
"so how was your day?" I asked over the dinner I made, I made sure dinner was on the table every night even if they were going to be home late from the studio, I still cared for them.
"it was long." rem sighs, I nod waiting to see if they'd add more.
"we recorded some new stuff." seb adds.
"oh? how's that coming along?" no one spoke, I sensed the tension in the air but there was no reason for it to be like that. Something was off and I was soon about to find out why.
"em? how was your day?"
"you're not our mother so stop acting like it! I'm sick of you babying us all the time!" I jumped at his sudden yelling, not expecting it at all. "e-em i'm just trying-"
"no you're not just trying! stay the fuck out of it! you're just like her!" we stared at each other, seb and remington stayed silent.
"i'm sorry i'm not enough for you guys." I left my plate of barely touched food on the table and grabbed my keys. you see, our mother, Stephanie, was no good and gave up on us when Emerson was born.
I was only 6 and changing his diapers. I was forced to grow up too fast to look after those boys and I've always made sure they were healthy and had everything a child needed. I worked 3 jobs just to pay the rent for the tiny apartment we used to live in.
hearing em say I was just like mum broke my heart. I drove back to my own apartment to get out of their hair for a little while. I'll give it a few days to calm down before going back to check on them.
I know they're big rockstars who make music for a living but I still have to keep an eye on them, it's your job as a step-in mother.
I threw myself on the bed thinking I'll just check in on them in a few days. My phone went off, I checked it.

I thought about watching it for a moment before joining, their management probably asked them to do it and promote their new music coming soon.
"hey guys we just wanted to hop on here and thank a few people. one person in particular who we take for granted." seb says, I lay on my side staring at the screen intently.
"our older sister, y/n, she's been a mother to all of us and without her we wouldn't be here. she's been there since I first started to walk and every fight we get in." em adds and a smile find its way to my face.
"she's our hero. our mother, so Y/n, if you're watching this, we love you very much but we need you to come back. emerson smashed a plate." rem says making me laugh and sniffle slightly.
"no we can clean that idiot- anyways Y/n please come back. emerson did smash more than a plate-" I grabbed my keys again going to help my boys.
"whoopsies" I hear emerson speak, I drive back there as fast as possible. I leave the live as I pull up in the drive way of their house.
I walk inside seeing broken glass scattered on the floor, I grab the dustpan and broom from the cupboard and clean it up, the boys nowhere in sight, I put it away and as I stand up I'm met with a chest, three rather.
"i'm sorry y/n, i'm was just stressed it's been a long week." I chuckle and kiss his head.
"it's okay emmy. i know, am i really like mum tho?" We both laugh and end the night off with a movie.
