939: INT. NEVERLAND RANCH (BEDROOM) DAY FADE IN:
One week later, August 29th, 1998. Michael's 40th birthday and tenth wedding anniversary with Rachael. The day of the vow renewal.
RACHAEL: (to herself) "Today's the big day. After ten happy years we're renewing our love. I couldn't be more excited. Right now, Mayte is helping me with my hair, so I decided to look through my wedding album."
MAYTE: (looks over her shoulder) Gosh Rachael you looked so gorgeous!
RACHAEL: Thanks Tay. (to herself) "I smiled as I thought back on that day as if it was yesterday..."
940: INT. DRESSING ROOM DAY DISSOLVE TO:
FLASHBACK
JAYME: (knocks on the door and comes in) Rach, 5 minutes... (notices her) Oh Rachael, you look stunning!
RACHAEL: Thank you!
PRINCE: Hey, you ready? Your husband's waiting.
RACHAEL: Yes.
MIKE: (gives her her bouquet)
RACHAEL: Thank you Daddy. (takes his arm as he walks her out)
941: INT. BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL (CRYSTAL ROOM) DAY CUT TO:
The ceremony.
RACHAEL:
(walking down the aisle, singing)
Children
It was more fun to be children
We just took life as it happened
Run through the days
Don't look behind
Over wink of an eye and it's over
What a surprise to discover
We were people ourselves
What kind of people did we want to be
No answer ever came to me
I didn't sleep at all last night
Mom, I've come to you like yesterday
About today
Mom, I'm afraid
Hon, come and sit by my side
Listen to me
Words come so hard
But what my heart says I will give you
Because you are in love
Your eyes begin to open
As if you had awaken from a sleep Because you are in love
You use imagination
And lose your concentration
When someone drops his name
You're back in his arms as always
Your day-dreams work out that way
It's all just a trick you mind plays
The more love grows
The more it says the same
But I love him so
(Same little girl who's sure)
That she loves him so
(Sees with a woman's vision knows what a woman knows)
Because we are in love
We reach for our tomorrows
And know we won't be lonely In laughter and in sorrows
Where love abides
There is the place we'll keep our love forever
You and I Because we are in love
When love abides
There is the place we'll keep our home forever
You and I because we are in love.
PREACHER: We are gathered here today to Michael and Rachael Jackson in Holy matrimony. Do you, Michael Joseph Jackson, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?
MICHAEL: (smiles lovingly at her) I do.
PREACHER: And do you, Rachael Caroline Jackson, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?
RACHAEL: I do.
PREACHER: Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife... Again! You may kiss the bride!

943: INT. NEVERLAND RANCH (MAIN FOYER) DAY CUT TO:
The vow renewal.
RACHAEL: (walks in and stands next to Michael)
PREACHER: Rachael and Michael, we take delight in sharing today's very special occasion with you. Lots of folks believe that entering into marriage is the final step in a passionate relationship. The way they see it, a couple meets, gets to know each other, falls in love, decides they want to go through life together, and then take the final step, tying the knot. But the final step in a couple's relationship isn't marriage, it only marks the beginning of a grand adventure that will be long and fruitful for each couple. You've shared the joys, blessings, and yes, the challenges, of married life for 10 years. And, this day, it's your wish to reaffirm your commitment to working together to make your marriage grow and blossom in the years to come. May this ceremony, renewing the vows you took to become husband and wife on your wedding day, remind you that despite the stresses inevitable in every life, your love, respect, trust, and understanding of each other will continue to increase your contentment and heighten your joy in living. Please join hands.
RACHAEL: (takes Michael's hands in hers)
PREACHER: Rachael, will you continue to have Michael as your husband and continue to live in this marriage?
RACHAEL: I will.
PREACHER: Do you reaffirm your love for him, and will you love, honor and cherish her in sickness and and in health, for richer or poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?
RACHAEL: I do.
PREACHER: Michael, will you continue to have Rachael as your wife and continue to live in this marriage?
MICHAEL: I will.
PREACHER: Do you reaffirm your love for her, and will you love, honor and cherish her in sickness and and in health, for richer or poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
MICHAEL: I do.
PREACHER: You may now recite your wedding vows.
MICHAEL: Rachael... When we first met, I didn't know how much my life was about to change. You've brought me nothing but happiness since that day, you've been there for me whenever things were rough. You stood by me every step of the way, and I could not be more grateful. I love you so much.
RACHAEL: Michael, when we met, I was just starting out as a backup singer. I never thought that I'd end up meeting the man that would become my whole world, my life. We've been together for 10 years and yet it seems so much longer. I love you Michael.
PREACHER: On your wedding day, you exchanged rings as a symbol of the never-ending circle of love. Rings serve as a reminder of your wedding vows to each other, and your commitment to living in unity, love and happiness. At this time, it is appropriate to reconfirm the meaning of the rings you wear. Please join your left hands together so that Michael's hand is on top.
MICHAEL: (places his hand on top of hers)
PREACHER: Michael, please repeat after me. Rachael, I wear this ring you placed on my hand as a symbol of my love and commitment to you.
MICHAEL: (gazes deeply into her eyes) Rachael, I wear this ring you placed on my hand as a symbol of my love and commitment to you.
PREACHER: Now Rachael, please place your left hand on top of Michael's and repeat after me. Michael, I wear this ring you placed on my hand as a symbol of my love and commitment to you.
RACHAEL: (places her hand on top of his) Michael, I wear this ring you placed on my hand as a symbol of my love and commitment to you.
PREACHER: I ask that you each remember to continue to cherish each other as special and unique individuals and that you each respect the thoughts and ideas of one another. And most of all, be able to forgive each other, and not hold grudges against one another. Live each day in love with each other, always being there to give love, comfort, and refuge to each other, in good times and bad. Michael and Rachael, today you have renewed the promises and vows you made to each other on your wedding day. You have symbolized the renewal of the marriage union by the joining of hands, the taking of vows, and by wearing your wedding rings. It is with pleasure that I conclude the ceremony of renewing the vows of marriage that joined you and binds you as husband and wife. Please celebrate this renewal of vows with a kiss!
MICHAEL: (kisses her passionately)
PRINCE: (claps) (to Mayte) That was beautiful.
MAYTE: It really was.
PRINCE: You know, all that stuff about being able to forgive each other and not hold any grudges really spoke to me... What do you say we get remarried?
MAYTE: Really? You mean that?
PRINCE: (nods) Yeah.
MAYTE: I love you! (hugs him tightly)
MICHAEL: (leads her to the dance floor) (starts dancing with her)
RACHAEL: I've never heard this song before.
MICHAEL: I wrote it just for the ceremony. I love you so much Rachael.
RACHAEL: I love you too, and I always will. (kisses him passionately)
Next chapter will hopefully be up tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to start it so it might have to wait til next weekend. There will be a little bit of drama, so just a heads up. I hope you liked this chapter. Sorry for the bad photo edits. The app I downloaded to remove objects from photos wasn't doing what I wanted. Originally I wanted to use pics from Liz Taylor's wedding that was held at Neverland. I was going to cut her out and add Karen but it wasn't working right so I had to try something else. Anyway, thanks so much for reading!!
