Me and Alex had bin on dozens of secret dates n sleep overs at his place. Alex's birthday is in under a weeks time and I'm gonna use this day to show him that I really love him. I am gonna make this a night to remember with candles and a home cooked meal ect but there's only one problem.
Lizzy has decided to plan a huge ass birthday party for him containing over 30 people from his college which if you know her brother then you would know that he is not a party person. Alex is more of a let's go out for a family meal sort of guy.
I stayed the night last night in his house at the end of his parents garden which someday I'd love to move in with him. We had just finished our shower towel drying our hair when i hurd faint knocking on the door so I decide to stay quiet whilst Alex put on a tshirt and joggers to go and open the door to see who it is.
It was lizzy his sister who only knocked on the door to know who came over last night. "Oh my god she's seen me, she knows" I thought to myself then Alex said "oh you know who that was.....it was my old high school mate David. Haven't seen him in a long time."
She pushed passed Alex looking for the so called David and peeping through the bedroom door I could tell that she didn't buy her brothers lie. She can always tell when he's lieing so I quickly put my clothes back on, jumped out the window and walked round to the front door.
Lizzy was in Alex's bedroom just about to go In to the bathroom when I appeared at the front door. As she went into the bathroom I kissed my boyfriend with a smile saying "hoo that was close."
As soon as we hurd her come out of his room I quickly took my hand away from his, knocked on the front door pretending to ask if Alex knew where lizzy was then he winked at me. Lizzy came out the bedroom wondering how i got here so quick considering that she only texted me about 2 mins ago.
She looked at her brother as if to say OK I guess I have to believe you then we headed out the door straight to her parents house to lizzy's bedroom to continue planning Alex's birthday party witch from my knowledge of understanding party's are not his thing but lizzy wouldn't listen to me.
The party was to be held in a large hall with a dj, flashy lights and booze. I texted Alex to let him know what his sister has planned and how we can escape part way through. He texted back saying "why a disco, she should know that I don't like party's especially when there filled with people Idon't know."
I texted him back that if he knows his sister really well then he should know that she doesn't charge her mine once it's set but as soon as I clicked send lizzy asked me who I was texting. I told her that it was my mum but she rolled her eyes and said "no seriously who?". I told her I've been seeing someone for a while now and I think I'm in love with this person.
I don't think I should have told her that because the next thing lizzy said was stuff like "who is she, where is she from, what's her name?" . I couldn't answer any of her questions as you as the reader can tell it might not end well if I did tell her the truth so I took a deep breath and just as i was about to speak her dad came in and told us that the party is all set up and that we had to go .
We all got in the car including Alex who oh god had to sit next to me making it so hard not to reach out and snog his face off but I had to control myself as no one in the car knew about our relationship. Once we arrived everyone hopped out the car walking towards the pub club. Alex and I walked a little behind the rest of them and I slipped a note into his pocket as to say when he can escape out the back door.
Alex opened the door to the club area first and flickered on the lights. "Suprise, happy birthday Alex." All of his family and family friends jumped out to surprise him. I could tell that he was not happy about this but he tried his best to get throught the night putting on fake smiles that only I could see right through.
There was an expensive dj playing the latest drivel that's out in the charts (not our thing) , a buffet of food , alcohol and last but not least a victoria sponge cake for the birthday boy. Alex spent a lot of his night sitting down in the corner on his phone or being pushed by 👪 to talk to diffrent people in higher power.
He eventually found a way to leave his parents and sister n headed straight to the loos. Instead of going into the men's loos like you would expect, Alex walked straight into the single loo for disabled people. Looking around to make sure no one is following me too I walked in and locked the door.
Alex: (crushing our lips together with a lot of passion holding his hand) let's get out of here please. It's my birthday and all I wanna do is just be with you at home having a nice romantic dinner then maybe even birthday sex because.....because you make me happy, I love you mich.
Michael: hey baby you OK. (He looks at me with those puppy dog eyes, a smile grows on myface. ) it's only for another hour and then we can sneak out and do whatever you like.
Alex: (sigh and let go of his hand slowly.) Uh...OK fine only if you make out with me right here right now for a few mins.
Before we go back to the party.
My phone starts to rumble so I pull it out of my shirt pocket to see who's calling then press the red button and put it straight back into the pocket and reply with " your sister is looking for me.....I better get back to the party."
But as soon as his head drops low and he let's go of my hands I decided to scrap what I just said and began kissing him in sort of a passionately makeout session "I love you too pooh bear."
A few mins later
I pulled out of the kiss and told him that his sister really is looking for me so I really gotta go. Alex smiled at me then nodded in agreement before I opened the door just a cracked to check is the coast was clear then told him to wait about 3 minutes before coming out after me.
It took me a short while to scan through the crowd of people looking for lizzy and I eventually found her in no time at all. She had her hands on her hips looking a little annoyed with me for not answering my phone. Now lizzy is one of those organisation freaks, if something is missed out of her list or has to be re scheduled for another day it stresses her out.
I put my hand on her shoulder and told her to breath which she really needed to do. It wasn't long before her parents brought out the blue frosting planet earth victorian sponge cake with 25 candles on. Lizzy needed me to turn the lights down while she called up her brother to stand infront of loads of people (45 to be exact)
"happy birthday to you,

happy birthday to alex,
happy birthday to you."
Everyone sang in unison as he blew out his candles then softly looked at me with a smile. But....what his sister asked him to do next was definitely at the top of Alex's hate list, give a speach. He looked worried about being forced by his relatives (parents and sister) to give a speech and stumbled with his words .
Alex: I...I...just wanted to um.....to um say how....
I could see how stressed this was making him so I plucked up the courage and stood infront of him and handed him a knife whispering a quick sentence In his ear for Alex to say then walkedbacktowhere i was standing. Lizzy looked at me suspiciously wanting to know what it was I'd said to her brother but I wouldn't answer her.
Alex: thank you everyone....for coming. (takes a deep breath) I know your all dying to try this beautiful cake so let's dig in. (Takes the candles off and cuts a slice of cake. )
As soon as people started walking up to the front of the room for a slice he handed the cake knife to his little sister asking for her to give out the slices then walked through the crowd of people till he was out of her sight.
"Thank you hon" He whisped in my ear softly smiling. "Nows our chance" I replied as I took his hand in mine and we snuck out the party trying not to be seen. The time was 9:30 and since we had just about an hour before the restaurants start to close as a treat for being so brave tackling the speach he doesn't like doing I took him to the gay restaurant on the edge of town were we had our first kiss nearly 6 months ago called Pooches. Only there could we be ourselves.
Michael: Happy birthday baby. (Held his hand at the table and kissed him.) I hope this was worth your wait.
Alex: this is perfect. I just wish my sister knew me better. Sometimes I feel just like tonight that she doesn't know me at all. (Holding Michael's hand rubbing it with my thumb.) I couldn't have wished for a better boyfriend than you.

At 10:22 I payed for our wonderful meal then got in the taxi back to his place. Luckily his family were still at the party so this time I didn't have to sneak in through the bedroom window. As Alex put the key into the door my phone buzzed again, it was lizzy ringing me yet again.
I clicked the red button then saw she'd texted me 4 times asking where I was but because I didn't want it to spoil alex's perfect birthday dinner we'd just had I texted back "soz lizz, got bit tipsy tired so taxi back xox" Then turned my phone off so we could get some peace and quiet at last.
I sat in the corner of the sofa with my arms around Alex's neck and his head lent into my shoulder and his feet up watching one of his all time favourite films Call Me By Your Name which was a book first. We didn't get very far into the film when we decided to stop it and go into his bedroom and give Alex the birthday sex he's been patiently waiting for.
To be honest my boyfriend is rather good in bed which is one of many things I love about him and I believe that I can see a future with him maybe even a family one day. That's how deeply my heart beats for him, I just can't imagine my life without him but we have one major obstacle of telling his sister, lizzy, my best friend about this relationship.
I don't know what would happen if she doesn't accept us. It could either mean me and alex break up or I could loose my best friend for good and I don't want it to come to that.
