It had been 2 days since I'd gotten back from the trip. When I got back neil was furious I was gone so long and of course had been drunk so I'd been staying in my room. He didn't always used to be this "kind of Neil" he used to be actually kind of not as aggressive and he was strict until they got married and he moved in with me and my mom. I sorta missed California I used to always go to the beach and even sometimes surf and back then my mom was still sad but not as bad as now she let me go out a lot too as long as I was back before dinner. I didn't care at this point I walked downstairs and took and grabbed my skateboard and skated down the road all the way to the mall I wanted to go see El but I dought she wanted to see me but I decided to go to "THE GAP" I bought a nice pair of baggy cuffed jeans and a white t-shirt for only 20 bucks they were on clearance luckily. I was passing by the other stores but something caught my eye it I knew El would love it. (Don't ask why I did this I just did-) I smiled and now I had a reason to see her I didn't fully know how to act as girlfriends or how we did when we were just bestfriends if I had act a certain way or not it was confusing and new. I left the mall and made my way to her house I couldn't wait I finnaly arrived having to walk to rest of the way since it was in the woods but it's fine I was so exited I ran the rest of the 20 minutes there out of breath knocking at the door opened a middle aged man with a beard and a police outfit on. "Hello?" I got a bit nervous "Hi I'm Max and I am a friend of Els" trying to get some air  "Oh cool I'm hopper her dad nice to meet you" he led me in her room even though I already knew where her bedroom was still having the cozy feeling. I knocked and opened the door and her face lit up and shutting her door "I have something for you" I smiled "what is it!" Her eyes wide like a kid on Christmas I giggled pulling out a gold necklace it was eggos on it she about screamed from excitement and plunged into me with a hug "I love it thankyou Maxie" my heart melted from how adorable she was. "I missed you Ellie" "Ellie?" "You like?" She nodded with a giggle we cuddled on her bed for awhile and hung out together with me reading a comic "I should get going" I sigh "noo stay the night pleaseee" she whined "okay okay I will" we laughed went back to me reading her a comic her head layed on my shoulder
