~Flashback~
"I still can't believe Ziggy of all people would come to me for help. Let alone bring a child for me to raise."
Erik was sitting down on a rock as he looked at the boy sleeping in front of him. He had wild red hair that was going spiky in the back but splits to two sides to cover his ears. However, two things stood out to him the most. The first being a large hoop necklace with a vial hanging from it. Though what truly shocked him was on the boy's chest.
"A barcode? No way......is this boy a survivor of the Lost Incident?!"
"U-uh...."
As Erik looked at the boy in front of him, he saw the boy waking up. Soon the boy opened up his eyes. When he stood up, he looked left and right as he was checking his surroundings. Soon his memories of the past events came rushing to his head as he screamed out.
"No...no!!!! Where is everyone?! Where am I?! Who are you?!"
"Easy there kid. I can explain at least a few of your questions. My name is Erik, you were brought to this planet by Ziggy for me to train/raise you. As for who Ziggy is, think of him as your Gramps, in a manner of speaking. So then.....what's on your mind kid?"
"I....I need to go home! There's some people waiting for me back there! I have to go see them!!!!!!"
"They're most likely dead."
The boy stood in silence. However, the moment he looked at the man, he began to cover his ears. It sounded like a crashing waterfall was nearby. Seeing the boy's reaction, Erik looked for the source of the boy's pain.
"That's weird. The only thing crashing down is the rai-....wait a minute. I can hear the sound of each individual droplets of rain crashing onto the ground. This boy, is his hearing so powerful that this sounds like a raging waterfall to him? A survivor of the Lost Incident and incredible hearing....if I train him will he be able to hear the one voice no one else has heard?"
Erik smiled as he picked up the boy and put him over his shoulder. Afterwards, Erik began to run towards a nearby cave. The moment he got inside, he placed the boy down as he began to sit down in front of him.
"It's so quiet in here."
"That it is. Let me tell you something kid. Ziggy told me to raise you up. Meanwhile, he's raising up your "brother" for lack of better words (in the sense that Ziggy found both of them). Though he believes you two might be able to find something."
"Find something?"
"Tell me. Have you ever heard of something called Mother?"

"Nyan, nyan, Nyanmaru. He's everyone's friend. The gentle champion of the kitties."
A single person was seen walking down the streets of Blue Garden as he was singing the theme of his favorite show. He had wild red hair and wearing a long-sleeve white jacket hoodie, a white t-shirt, and plain gray pants with a loosely tied belt along with black combat boots.
"Tell me, have you heard of something called Mother?"
"Sensei told me that she can grant a wish. But....how can I go about meeting her?"
"Rebecca!!!! Hey, let me out!!!!"
Suddenly the boy looked in the sky as he heard a voice calling out for help. When he looked in the sky, his eyes widen with shock. A man was seen flying through the sky on a hoverbike. However, watch truly surprised him was the hostage. He saw a blue cat stuck in a container as it was screaming out for help.
"A talking cat.....is it......is it...Nyanmaru?!"
As the boy saw this, he began to activate his Ether Gear. Various sounds waves were being created as he looked in the direction where he saw the kidnapper going. With a fire in his eyes, the boy ran forward with incredible speed.
"Don't worry, Nyanmaru! I'm on the way!!!!!!!!"
~A few minutes earlier~
"You can't just go around saying that you met Mother! You even said that you never left Granbell!"
"I only said that I felt like I met her. Why did those guys laugh? Won't they be my friends?"
Outside of the adventurer's guild, Rebecca, Happy, and Shiki were seen leaving the building as the members were laughing at Shiki for claiming he met Mother. When they left, Rebecca looked at Shiki as she was embarrassed.
"No, of course not."
"Are you serious?"
"There's no need to rush it. While there are good people, there are bad people as well. Isn't that right, Happy."
"Aye!"
The moment Happy responded, he suddenly found himself in a container as a thief was standing before Rebecca and Shiki. After capturing Happy, the thief smirked as he quickly used a smoke bomb and began to fly off on his hoverbike with Happy in tow.
"That darn friend thief. You'll pay for this!!!!!!"
When Shiki said this, he chased after the thief with Rebecca close behind. Soon the boy activated his Ether Gear and changed the direction of gravitational force around himself in order to stick onto the walls of several buildings as he ran after the thief. Seeing this, the thief scowled as Shiki was getting closer and closer to him. While Shiki chased him, he saw various people in the city.
"There are many different people here!!!! But I know one thing.....you're one of the bad ones!!!!! Magimech Attack:Gravity Center!!!"
The moment Shiki grabbed onto the bike, he exerted an immense amount of force upon it by boosting its gravity. This caused the vehicle to come crashing to the ground along with the thief. As dust arose from the impact, the thief pulled out a gun and shot it into the air so the citizens that were passing by would disperse. When Shiki landed on the ground he looked towards Happy, who was still in the thief's grasp.
"Happy! Are you okay?"
"Aye."
"You...give back Happy!"
"Oi! What's all this noise about?"
When Shiki looked ahead, he saw the thief running towards a group of thugs. Among them was a large men wearing a camouflage vest that exposed his large stomach and chest. When the thief ran up to him, he began to speak.
"Boss! It's a cat from the planet Exceed!!!"
"Good find!!!!!"
"A cat from Exceed is worth a huge price. It's wasted on brats like you!"
"Happy is a friend!!!!!! If you hurt him, even a little, i'll never forgive you!!!!"
"Heh. Brats always try to act tou-"
"I'll save you, Nyanmaru!!!!!!!"
Whilst using his Ether Gear to zip through the air, the moment the boy landed, he sent out a sound wave so powerful that it sent the thugs flying in multiple directions. When this happened, the container holding Happy shattered as the cat was freed. Meanwhile, Rebecca ran towards Happy.
"Happy!!! Thank goodness!!!"
"Rebecca!!!
"Boss!!!! That kid must be using an Ether Gear!!! This could be tro-"
Soon the boss began to fire his gun. The moment this happened, Shiki grabbed onto Rebecca's hand as he used his Ether Gear to control his own gravity and have him and Rebecca dodge the man's bullets. Meanwhile the red haired boy was jumping upwards and used his sound waves to maneuver in the air. Seeing the situation, Rebecca looked towards Happy.
"Happy!!!"
"Let's go, Rebecca!!!!"
As Rebecca was finished shooting, Shiki and herself heard the sound of clapping. When they turned around, they saw the red haired boy that attacked the group of thieves earlier.
"Wow...I had no idea Nyanmaru was a machine."
"Umm, his name is Happy. But thank you so much. It was thanks you that Happy was freed."
"She's right! So then....can we be friends?"
Rebecca and Happy were embarrassed the moment Shiki blurted out that question. As Shiki had his right hand extended, the red haired boy extends his own right hand outwards and shook Shiki's hand. Though he had a blank expression on his face and a monotone voice to match his expression.
"I guess so."
"HE ACTUALLY ACCEPTED!!!!!"
Rebecca and Happy couldn't hide the shock on their faces. Someone actually accepted Shiki's sudden request for friends upon first meeting him. While Shiki was smiling, the red haired boy looked at him.
"Your Ether Gear allowed you to manipulate gravity. If that's the case......Shiki, right? Are you connected to Ziggy?"
"Eh...you know Gramps?!"
"Sort of. At least, he's the one who found me and brought me to Sensei. Shiki....I know we just met, but, can I accompany you?"
"Why?"
"I want to register as an adventurer but I got lost when I saw a marathon of Nyanmaru playing on a tv and I was watching it from the other side of the window."
Silence filled the air for a brief moment. Soon Shiki walked over to the red haired boy. The moment he got close, he wrapped his left arm over the boy's shoulder.
"What's your name?"
"Yuuki."
"Okay, Yuuki. Rebecca will lead the way for us. You and I can register together. When that's done.....let's go on an adventure together!!!!!"
~Meanwhile~
"Princess!!!!!!"
In the depths of space, a ship was seen setting sail. A single crewmen was seen rushing to the cockpit. When he reached his destination, he saw the back of a chair facing him as a single person spoke to him.
"You're being too loud. Do you want to die?"
"My apologies!!!! It is an urgent matter. The Demon King's son...or it might have been his grandson has left Granbell. That's not all, the boy he found and sent to Erik has also left his own planet as well! Some are saying they saw them in Blue Garden!!!!"
"I see, in that case...set our course to Blue Garden."
