the 2 girls turned around
after hearing their last names,
suitcases in their arms.
they'd just gotten back from
their 2 week trip in france & both
felt drastically different.
as we know, things move faster
than normal in the upper east side- so shall
i fill you in??
karima de haan was finally 16;
"the baby" of the group was no longer her title.
the new age itself came with
some new challenges. 1.) she hasn't
talked to aki-or anyone in the
group for that matter- in a week and
a half. 2.) gossip girl tagged her
in countless posts while she was
on her getaway.
to distract her from these
challenges, she decided to throw a
halloween party with only her
closest friends invited.
oh who am i kidding, "her
closest friends" meaning the entirety of
new york city.
"rosé! i'm so glad to be
back" karima cheered, throwing her
arms around the maid that
practically raised her.
the butlers that
accompanied rosé took karima's
bags out of her hand, letting
the girl take her first breath back.
"POUSSIÉRE" by laura cahen
played quietly through her headphones
as the girls and their help
walked to the black escalade.
"i'll see you at the party laney,
love you!"
karima & mirlandé kissed
their goodbyes to one another before
hopping into different cars.
they would have taken the
same one, but mirlandé knew where
karima's first destination
would be.
"home, i suppose?" the chauffeur
questioned, "actually no. take me to the constance billard, i'd like
to see my friends first" she answered.
the ride was as silent as
ever, just her humming to her playlist
was audible.
they finally pulled up to
the familiar school building she was
oh so familiar with.
"see you at 4 bobby!" she shouted
as he drove away.
her sudden shout caused
all eyes to go on her, as if they
weren't already.
she checked the watch
on her arm. "fuck it's lunchtime" the
girl cursed to herself.
she slowly turned around to
walk up the steps, focusing on her feet
to make sure she wouldn't slip.
"everyone knows the only
way to get over an heir is to get under
another one."
karima's ears chirped at her
sister's voice, "monet! monet!". the girl
of the hour rushed to her freshly
16 year old sister, embracing her in a
hug.
"oh my gosh! don't ever
leave without telling me again,
ugh!" she giggled.
"one time thing i
swear." karima replied, a huge grin on
her face.
"so, where is my handsome
beau?" she asked, looking around for
a pink bald scalp.
she'd only come to see him
and monet anyway. the rest of them
could go to hell, respectfully.
monet's faced dawned with
sadness which earned a confused look
from her sister.
"monet? where's aki?" she
probed, continuing to look around for
her boyfriend.
well, at least who
she thought was her
boyfriend.
she could hear luna chuckling
in the background that was responded by
a killer glare from monet.
"karima, you're back!" max's
voice shouted as he welcomed her into
a hug.
her frown was soon replaced
by a bright smile, which was then replaced
again by her frown.
she saw aki walking up
the stairs with a smiling audrey on
his arm.
her look of confusion fell
deeper. as soon as he locked eyes with
her he dropped audrey's hand.
"karima hey." his awkward
voice spoke. he offered a hug & a part of
her wanted to accept it, but she
knew better.
but for the sake of her
image, she must. even though the hug
itself looked awkward as hell,
everyone shrugged it off as a normal
day.
"walk with me" he muttered
as he pulled her down the steps away
from the school.
once they were all the
way down the corner he turned to
her.
"you didn't get my message?"
"message? what message?"
karima inquired, pulling at her
phone.
well enough, her home
screen was flooded with messages.
"they must have not gone
through when i was in france" she
thought.

wi-fi or like cellular data or some
shit was off." she stuttered,
clearly a lie.
"international problems
i guess" the girl shrugged. the conversation went quiet again.
she took that time to think
of what other lies she was gonna come
up with to further extend her
story.
truth be told, she purposely
ignored him & audrey's text messages.
why?
a life of pettiness & secrets was
bound to rub off on her, and she was well
trained by monet.
after a late night walking around
france to get a breath of fresh air, she ran into this boy.
he looked godly, so she
compromised with herself. if she fucked him, no one in new york would
know, they were all the way across the world.
so she did just that. a little
birthday gift to herself must i say.
by to her surprise, it turned into
much more. this boy became her french
aki in a way.
they hung out often in the
2 and a half weeks she was there, almost
everyday.
he showered her with gifts of
all kinds; expensive jewelry, exclusive access to anything in france her
heart desired, & all the love a girl could
ask for.
life with him was better than
life with aki. she'd never admit that,
but it was true.
there was no audrey or gossip
girl to get in between their short love. it
was like a great honeymoon
phase.
frankly she couldn't keep this
secret herself, but she was going to have
to for the sake of her relationship.
it could crush aki's life
if he had this information, so she
kept it locked in her heart.
little did she know aki also
has a secret kept in his heart. or both
him and audrey's.
he wanted to get away and
decided to go up to the poconos like
old times & was happy to be
accompanied by an old friend.
they were both stressed from not
getting replies from karima while she was
away & needed to unwind.
another thing after another
happened, which turned this friendly
weekend hangout into a full on sex
crazed extravaganza.
they banged like rabbits for
those 2 days, just like old times. it made
both of them reminisce their
old relationship.
all three of them lived under
the same motto, "if no one knew, it wasn't
cheating, right?".
little did they all know, gossip
girl has spies everywhere, & no one was
safe from her blasts.
so, shall they find out about
both being unloyal from each other, or
some meaningless finsta?
