Again it was another boring late afternoon, early evening in the Avengers tower....... Everyone was lounging around the kitchen, dinning table or around the connected common room......
Where tony was sitting in one of the dinning chairs with Bruce both mind deep into stark tab trying to figure out a problem.... Natasha was sitting on a love seat in common room with Clint and sam playing mario cart. Steve and Bucky were in kitchen wearing apron with small shields saying "TO BE A HERO WHAT YOU NEED IS A HOT LUNCH" and other one saying "I CAN COOK ONE HANDED 'LITERALLY' " respectively cooking a late lunch - early dinner because they are the only who can make something edible, which won't need a trip to medbay..... At the same time thor was on a mission to find the hidden pop tarts because as Steve said in his patriotic voice, " No thor, 15 pop tarts are enough for one day..... And now u have to eat salad to counter all that sugar " So thor was on a mission ..... basically it was a boring afternoon due to lack of a certain spider kid who would join them any moment now.
As on the cue, elevator declared the arrival of spiderbaby which lifted the mood of the whole room....
"Hy everyone!!!! " Peter got a variety of hi... Hellos...welcome young midgardian and a hiyaaa from a specific archer in reply. .. Peter dropped his school bag near the door and flooped himself next to natasha who made space for him without looking up from her magazine.
Soon Bucky brought a bowl with a bunch of cut fruits and put in front of Peter on the table.... "I want it finished. Dinner will be served in half an hour" In a deadpan voice.... Everybody knew about peters metabolism and how he reacts when hungry , so it was an unsaid norm to give him in between snacks to avoid the marshmallow incident... Clint tried to steal a grape from the bowl but was swatted away by natasha.
There again was silence with only noise was crunching of fruits and the video game.... When suddenly Peter's expression change as either he realised he was choking or he had suddenly remembered something he needed to do....
"Ohh oh... Miss Romanoff... "
"It's natasha, Peter... We have discussed it before"
"Ohh yaaa... Miss natasha... I.. "
From dining table Tony said, "Peter first chew and then speak " This grabbed the attention of all the occupants of the room...
"Soooryy" He started chewing as fast as he could before he again forget what he wanted to ask and it looked like he will choke on while chewing.... As soon as he gulp down the Apple in his mouth he started again.
"Ok I am done... So miss natasha I wanted a favor... And if u don't want to do, that is totally fine.. Like I can find a video or two on internet that could help but I thought learning from a person would be more easily like face to face interaction helps in learning that why there is whole concept of school but it's not like online school ate bad it also helps to kids who live far away or can't come due to many reasons you know like health, money or there is no school to go to... You know there are soo many places in earth where kids can't go to school , like school is important. I know it's tough too, like no one like homework or bullies, not that I am being bullied, that's a different topic.......... Wait a second.... What was I saying..???? " Peter himself looked more confused than rest of the Avengers....
He looked at natasha as of she knew the answer to it.....
"Ummm... A.. You said you need a favor... I guess, then I think you off tracked." Natasha tried to regain her 'I don't care attitude'.
"Oh.. OHH yaaa.... I wanted a favor . .
Ummm... Cann you... Umm how do I say... Umm can you teach me some moves... " At this everybody stopped what they were doing as the conversation took an interesting turn...
" Umm I mean , I am not asking you because you are a girl... I mean woman.. Lady... Arrhh... No I mean I am not Genderising 'moves' like in movies,i mean I can ask these guys, and I am asking you and I am a guy, I mean I need those so I am not Genderising... Like but I know you know that, like you did ballet before, and like grace and charm... Not like I don't want grace... Like maybe charm... I mean you can totally say no... I understand... You.. I mean... I and... I.. I don't know.. Maybe.... "
"Peter... Peter... PETER... calm down, you are rambling again... Now... I will... With all pleasure will teach you 'MOVES'.... but can I ask for what? "
"Ohh yaa.. Ya... So it was like school send an email to aunt May... Like not a complain just pre semester report and were like I wasn't doing many extra curricular activities, but I said I was in academic decathlon... But they want something on field.. And I am not a sport person... But aunt May gave me ultimatum to find some in school activity, so then I was in lunch today, and I heard these seniors discussing something about tryouts and teachers and permission . I didn't get it properly but I thought maybe if I find something easy so I can manage school activities and home work and exam and spidey works... So I went to them and asked and they told me about it and I applied as practice is only once a week, so it won't affect my schedule. But I need to learn some moves to get selected cause this is only one person thing... So there I need the favor.. " Peter took a long sip of the water from the bottle on the table trying to catch his breath.
Clint took a bunch of grapes and said
"But what exactly is this activity of yours? "
"Ohh.. Nothing much... The seniors said the last one got transfered to different school this year so place for vacant.... It's for the position of SCHOOL ESCORT"
The room once again went into silence... But this time there was wheezing sound coming from Clint as he choked on a grape..
"Umm... Is this some new 21st century shit we still don't know about? " Bucky whisper to Steve who stood there shocked at the new form information.
" I don't know... Maybe. I have seen reddit and Twitter.. People in this century are weird.. "
Tony got out of his shock first and asked
"Peter buddy... Are.. Are you sure. It is what it is.. Like... Oh god I can't do this... Do may know about this??.. Why is school allowing this.. .. I need to make some calls"
"Wait Tony.. Peter.. What, you said there are tryouts.... When are they..? " Sam face showed concern which he never want to show others.. He was the one teasing spidey , he was not the one to get concerned... But sue him. He had nephew of his age... Blame him to be concerned.
Peter was still stuffing his mouth, not reading the room... "Ohh they are this Friday... After school. "
"Who are gonna be at 'tryouts'? " Bruce try to get more information out of the boy... They knew he was innocent and feared he might be getting pranked or worse been gonna taken advantage of... But no one will tell him that... He was too pure for this...
" Just some seniors , and school basket ball team... It would be fun... "
"I still didn't understood this idea of school escort young Peter... What is that you are going to do? " Thor looked curious as he patted the back of still wheezing Archer... He was turning slightly purple, but no one notice as they had their hand full with another problem.
"Ohh Mr. Thor, it's it's so cool, there they told me, there will be costume, and mask and I just have to show some moves , impress few people and I am set with the position. "
"No... Nonono... Peter I forbid you to do something like that. And I am telling may and I am also calling your school to tell them about this stupid thing.... What is this, some new ragging technique... I swear to God... I am.... "
While the billionaire was fussing around the room over his phone... A little to strong pat by the God dislodged the grape stucked in Clint's throat.
And finally he attempted to catch his breath..
"MA... MAS....... *heavy breathing* ... HE. IS.. SAYING.......... MASCOT.... RIGHT" Clint was still trying to breath as the whole room shifted their attention to him....
"Peter you meant mascot... U were trying out for being a school mascot" Natasha asked to Peter who now was looking confused himself
"I.. It's called mascot... I mean our school symbol... It's a tiger.... And he runs across the field before the match and do some dance or stuff and people cheers... And it has a costume with huge tiger mask.... I mean I am trying for that thing... If it's called mascot... I guess.. " Peter gave some puppy dog eyes... As if he was sorry for something he didn't even know...
"Awww petey... Yes.. Off cource it was mascot... Just some misunderstanding... U don't worry... Go change into something comfortable and then Natasha would help u learn those moves you were talking about right.... Go... Dinner is ready in 15...so better hurry up... " Peter smiled at his mentor who wrapped an arm around his prodigy and turned him towards his room...
" God.... That was something.... I mean... We are Avengers and we reacted so poorly to such a common mistake" Sam said as he relaxed back into couch... He didn't know when he stood up .
" I mean... We all are a little bit over concerned for Peter... So I guess It dampers our logical thinking as our emotions take over " Bruce said as he cleaned his glasses...
" I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND. WHY YOU ALL GOT SO UPSET. I THINK WHAT YOUNG SPIDERLING WANTED TO PARTICIPANT IN HIS SCHOOL CURRICULUM IS APPRECIATIVE AS HE WOULD WORK TO ENCOURAGE THE PEOPLE" Thor who was still a little or say a lot confused...
"What I think is we all need a new training regime where we develop a better strategies to approach situations like this in future.... We cannot jump to conclusions like this in future... "
Steve said as he went back to finish the dinner
"I guess that training comes after Natasha teaches Pete some dance moves."
"I warn you Tony... Pink hairs won't look good on you in next Avengers press conference.... So better watch what you say.. " Natasha went back to reading her magazine...

" No guys you should have been their to see their faces.... Mr. Stark looked like he was gonna blow up.... And Bucky was so confused I guess he and Steve started questioning their faith about coming out of the ice.. " Peter said into the phone as he layed down of the bed
"Dude you have to send the video to us... " Ned said front the other side of the line..
"Yes loser.... I think I will have a file full of people in crisis drawing... This would be my gift to them this Christmas.. " Mj also said through their conference call
"Hy FRIDAY., can you send me the video recording of last half an hour to me ned and mj.... "
"Off cource young sir... If I may suggest... Mrs Parker, ms Potts and colonel rodes would also enjoy the little prank of your.. " The robotic voice of AI sounded more excited than expected...
"Sure FRIDAY.... send them a copy of it too.... "
Guess... Peter Parker was not as innocent as they all thought
