Y/N POV
I was thinking about what Luis had said. Yes, of course I felt bad one of my teammates just told me he liked me and I shut him down and told him I liked his roommate. I didn't really feel all that bad because it was true and I didn't want to hurt Luis' feelings later.
My train of thought came to a stop by Connie telling me to hurry up and open the door because someone wanted to see me. I really hoped it wasn't either of the people I usually liked to see.
Spoiler alert, it was. Charlie stood in front of me as I opened the door. I almost was annoyed. I don't know why because I like him. That's not the point though, the point is that he was here and he wanted to see me.
CHARLIE POV
As I was standing there looking tired in my sweats and old t-shirt, I saw her open the door. She was wearing about the same thing as me and her hair was in double braids. Man, she had probably just woken up. It may have been almost noon but she was pretty. You couldn't deny that. I asked her to come out with me and then I closed the door. "Uhm... hey, Y/N. Long time no see huh." I chuckled awkwardly. "Oh yeah, haha." She said as if she was uncomfortable. Oh of course she was. I was loosing it.
"I have something to tell you...kinda unless you don't wanna hear it." I told Y/N surprising her and myself.
"Yeah? What is it?" She asked. Crap. That's all I had to say to myself. I didn't know what to say so I was just going to say it fast. "Ikindalikeyoualotandifyoudon'tlikemethat'sfinebutIjustwannatellyouIthinkyou'rereallypretty!" I said out of breath.
"Huh? Can you slow down I didn't catch that." She said sort of mocking me it felt like. Here goes nothing I guess.
"What i said was 'I really like you, like a lot and if you don't like me that's fine but I just wanted to tell you because I think you're really pretty." I told her acting like I was calm.
"Charlie, are you serious?" She exclaimed like she didn't believe me.
"Why would I be kidding?" I asked.
"Well because Luis kinda told me last night that he liked me and asked me to be his girlfriend. It's kinda ironic that you both asked me." She told me seriously. I knew it she was going to reject me and go with Luis.
"So do you like me too orrrr?" I asked her.
"Yes, Charlie, obviously I do! Why else would Connie be hitting me whenever she sees you?" She told me.
I was amazed. "Nope, there is no way you like me too I refuse to believe it." I said to her honestly.
"Why would I joke with you about that. Yes, I do like to joke with you but I'm dead serious." She said truthfully.
"Uhm okay well you wanna go out with me like on a date?" I asked her hoping she'd say yes.
"Yes, Charlie I will. Oh um so can we not tell anyone yet because I don't know if I want us to be an official thing ,but yes I like you but I don't know if I wanna do public yet. I'll see you at practice right?" She told me. It was like salt in an open wound.
"Okay yeah, I understand. Yeah you'll see me at practice." I said calmly. She walked into her dorm and shut the door behind her.
Y/N POV
I quickly went into the dorm and squealed as I jumped beside Connie.
"Tell. Me. Everything." She commanded
"Okay so, he told me he liked me too! Well he told me first and he thought I was gonna reject him! Which I don't know why because I mean just look at him he's adorable! Like I don't know what's going on in his brain but it's obviously not working right because I've liked him since district 5 I just didn't admit it! You know that! Everyone was bothering us about it then too!" I exclaimed. "Also question, does Guy know about this?" I asked her.
"I don't know probably, why?" Connie questioned.
"Just a question. So since I told you you owe me a favor." I laughed.
"Nuhuh! It's girl talk no favors!" Connie exclaimed.
"Just kidding. I know" I said
Julie then walked into the room and asked "What's all that noise? Why are you guys like screaming?"
"Oh, we're going to be late for practice if we don't get ready to go now! We'll tell later!" I told her.

We walked to the rink for practice. We were tired hoping captain blood wasn't going to come
back. I walked in and saw Luis looking at me while he was talking to Dean. Great. I thought. If they become friends I'm done for.
"Hey, sweetie." Dean winked at me.
"Hey, crap face." I said fake smiling at him.
"Hey, Y/N/N (your nick name)" Charlie said.
"Oh hey Charlie." I added.
We all got dressed slowly. I notice Banks was messing with his hand. So naturally I walked over. "Hey Banksie. What's up with your hand?" I questioned.
"Nothin'. Don't worry about it." He responded.
"Okay but if it starts hurting more tell coach. Or me I don't care." I told him.
Coach Bombay walked in and said "Meet me out in the ice. It should be an easy practice for some but others... never mind that. Just come on."
"Yay! I'm so excited!" I said sarcastically.
Once everyone was out on the ice he started telling us what we were doing for practice.
"Back to basics! If we want to beat Iceland and show them what we can do, we gotta have techniques they won't expect! Fulton! You been working on that shot?" He told us.
"Yeah, some! It's still 1 outta 5! I'm getting better though!" He said.
"Yes, Fulton that's it! You're working on it and you make progress! Good job! Y/N! You been working on accuracy?!" He asked.
"Yeah, not really a lot though! I'll get better at it eventually!" I answered him.
"Exactly! That's it! Self confidence! That's what you need! If you have it you can accomplish about everything!" Coach Bombay told everyone.
"Charlie! You still making goo-goo eyes at Y/N?" He said messing with him. We both turned a red color.
"Maybe! But Coach, at least I can get a girl! You can't!" He came back at Bombay.
"Okay okay Charlie don't come at me! Seriously though, laps to warm up and then we are trying to go faster and stop. So chop chop." He said laughing through his words.

Once practice was over we were sore with laughter. Not worrying about our life problems just friends and hockey. Life was good. Hockey did that for me. We started getting out of our gear then Bombay came in and told us "We are going out for pizza you guys. On me."
'Sweet!' 'Nice!' Came erupting from our mouths.
We finished getting out of out gear then we walked to the pizza shop and me, Connie, Guy, Charlie, Julie, and Banks sat at a table. The rest of the people sat together. Coach Bombay and Miss Makay sat together.
"Hey Charlie, I guess you were wrong maybe he can pick up a girl." I laughed.
"I guess so. I wanna go bother him about it later." Charlie said.
"Uhm can I talk to you in the other room, Charlie?" I asked
"Okay yeah sure." He responded. We walked outside so we were out of peoples seeing as hearing or so we thought.
"Yeah what did you need?" Charlie questioned.
"I wanna go public." I said.
"Wait ,actually so you'll be my girlfriend?" He asked.
"Yes I want to." I said then quickly hugging him, leaving him there for a couple seconds. Then he hugged back.We went inside and sat back down. We all talked and laughed like normal until Bombay spoke up and said. "Okay guys, we've had our fun, now get to bed you have school then a game after. So get some rest chop chop."
We started gathering our stuff we brought. As we were walking out Charlie held my hand. Connie saw and smiled. He and Guy walked us to our dorm. We walked the whole way holding hands from the pizzeria to my dorm. We said goodbye and we were about to close the door when Charlie jogged back to the door and knocked.
I opened it and hardly said "Hey, Charlie what's up?" Then he put his hands on my waist, pulled me in and kissed me. I put my arms around his neck while kissing back. We pulled away after about 7 seconds but who's counting.
"Sorry, I just wanted to know if you'd do it back." Charlie said honestly.
"Yeah, it's fine but I told you I wanted to go public and I'm pretty sure Guy, Connie, Julie, and Adam all saw so we're pretty public." I insisted.
"Oh." He looked back "Well I'll see ya tomorrow. Bye." Charlie added.
"Okay bye." I said. Charlie walked away happily with a slight blush on his face as Guy started asking him questions.
