Klaus walked slowly to Hayley, as a sign to show her that he's not the enemy as he saw her eyes flash from gold to green.

He knelt down next to her chair and placed his hand on top of hers, that were resting on her stomach protectively.

"Hayley, love look at me." Klaus pleaded as he saw her blankly staring at her stomach.

Hayley lifted her head to look at Klaus' worried face.

She placed her hand and began to stroke his stubbled cheek.

How much pain has he felt by the hands of his coward of a mother?

Unknowingly, her wolf came out at the thoughts of Klaus being in pain.

Klaus was pinned by Hayley's gaze not noticing how he leant into her hand as she stroke his cheek.

He watched as her eyes flashed gold as she tilted her head at him and his own eyes couldn't help but flash gold in return, with his wolf coming out.

Hayley spoke after a while, "Your mother is not a mother but a monster. A mother loves her child and Esther gave her up. If your mother loved her, she would've snapped Dahlia's neck when she began to walk away with Freya."

She looked deeper, if that was possible, into Klaus' eyes and placed his hand to her stomach and when he stroked her stomach she promised, "Do not worry mate, our cub will always be safe with me."

Klaus growled when she called him mate and leaned closer to Hayley, with nothing on his mind but two words - claim her.

Hayley snapped out of her staring contest with Klaus, her golden eyes reverting back to her natural green colour.

She looked down to see Klaus kneeling next to her, his hand resting on his stomach.

How did he move so quic-

But what didn't make her pause was the way he was kneeling before her, but the way her was looking at her.

She shivered from the promise in his eyes, unaware that she was the reason for the look in his eyes.

Klaus growled in approval, his wolf in full control, as he watched his mate shiver.

Good, his wolf thought, she wants us to mate with her.

Hayley froze as Klaus' hand, well now transformed wolf claw grazed a loose strand of hair from her face.

He looked like he was going to eat her, she thought.

"Klaus?" she asked wearily, "Are you ok?"

Klaus pushed his wolf into the back of his mind, ignoring the growls of anger from his wolf and the encouragement his vampire is giving by demanding that he sink his teeth into his little wolf.

He nodded, once he got his eyes back to blue.

"I should be asking you that, Little Wolf. How are you feeling?" Klaus asked worriedly.

"Confused, mainly. Where the hell did the visions even come from?" Hayley replied while absentmindedly stroking her stomach, her fingers brushing Klaus' hands every now and then.

"The baby."

The pair turned to Elijah who was watching them warely after seeing the way their wolves had come out but left the pair confused if Hayley's confused face, after her golden eyes went away, was anything to go by.

He explains his statement seeing the pair look at him with confusion.

"The baby had provided us with the visions."

Hayley could feel Klaus' anger begin to rise so she intertwined their hands and stroked his hands.

She could feel Klaus' gaze on her but she continued to look at Elijah.

"How do you believe that the baby has given us the visions?" she asked in a cool tone, showing that if Elijah was to say anything wrong about her child, he will be sweating from a werewolf bite.

Elijah recognising the silent threat, bowed his head slightly to show he meant no harm before starting his explanation.

"We were all in contact of a form. I was touching Niklaus' shoulder, he was holding your hand and you were-"

"I was stroking my stomach." Hayley remembered.

Elijah nodded, glad she was understanding his point of view and not lashing out.

Klaus spoke up, his eyes not leaving Hayley's stomach as he didn't let go off Hayley's hands stroking his.

"Does that make our child some sort of seer then?"

Elijah shook his head.

"No brother, the only way we can find out what supernatural status the child has is by another vision being given."

Klaus wasn't reassured.

"What if we bring in Davina Claire to see what the child is?"

Hayley was worried.

How did Klaus know about Davina Claire?

Has he already met her?

But that's too early.

A thought came to Hayley that shook her to the core

What if Klaus was a reincarnated soul as well?

It would be a game-changer if he was.

The knowledge he and her both have on the show could help secure a better life for Hope.

Only one way to find out.

Acting confused she asked, "Who's Davina Claire?"

The brothers turned to each other having a silent conversation before agreeing on something which prompted Elijah to leave the room.

Klaus stood up and offered his hand to Hayley, silently hoping she wouldn't push him away.

So when Hayley had taken it without hesitation, his entire being was encompassed with joy.

Not that he let her see it.

Instead he gave her a beaming smile and began to guide her to the place Elijah had left to.

Hayley was grateful that she was holding onto Klaus' hand because after he smiled at her with dimples and literally pure happiness on his face, her knees were weak.

They entered a room where Elijah was leaning against the wall, focus on the book in his hands.

Elijah looked up when he felt them enter.

A smile tugged at his lips as he saw his brother and Hayley's intertwined hands.

He was glad that not only did he care about the child, but without knowing it himself, he was was also beginning to let Hayley in.

"What is this place?" Hayley questioned, looking around the place in awe.

The room had two floor, each wall was lined with books of different sizes and languages.

The fireplace was lit and the above the mantle was the Mikaelson crest with two fencing swords hanging on each side, colliding with each other to make an X.

Klaus came behind her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Welcome to the war room, Little wolf."

Hayley turned to Klaus, "War room?" she repeated trying to keep the excitement out of her voice.

Klaus nodded.

Finally!

They were getting somewhere.

The brothers weren't fighting.

Elijah remains undaggered.

They know of Marcel's 'secret weapon,' Davina Claire.

And they're in a war room.

Hayley felt relief that nothing was going the way it had been in the original timeline.

"How long have you been in here?" she asked after scrutinising the room properly.

There were papers all over the table, books left open around chairs and on the floor and there were glasses sitting on a desk, reeking of blood and alcohol.

It was Elijah who had answered.

"Since Niklaus and I have decided to work together to protect the one thing that could fix our family."

Elijahs eyes were trained on Hayley's stomach and he smiled as he heard the heartbeat of his niece or nephew.

Klaus smiled at his brothers words and turned to Hayley.

He gestured for her to sit down at the table and when she did, he answered her previous question from before.

"Davina Claire is Marcel's secret weapon."

Hayley nodded but she still had to act confused since she's still new to NO.

"Who's Marcel?"

This had caused the room temperature to drop low as the Mikaelson brothers both had emotions flicking through their faces - the main one Hayley could see was betrayal.

"That bronzed M you were looking at above the mantelpiece little wolf," he paused for dramatic effect, "That is the Mikaelson family crest. If you have seen the 'M' he stamps everywhere, it's not for 'Marcel'. It's for 'Mikaelson'."

Hayley nodded, taking in the information Klaus is given (not that she didn't know about it already)

"But how did Marcel get New Orleans if you guys owned it?"

Hayley groaned in her head at sounding so stupid.

Klaus placed his hands on top of the chair next to Hayley looking deep into thought.

"I made Marcel everything that he is," Klaus began, "I treated him like a son. And when my father chased me and my family from New Orleans a hundred years ago, we believed Marcel was killed – we each mourned him, in our own way. Yet, when I returned, I found not only had he survived, he had thrived."

Anger bled into Klaus' voice so Hayley rubbed his arm comfortingly.

Klaus looked to see what Hayley was doing and gave her a small smile before sighing and carrying on.

"And instead of seeking us out, instead of sticking together as one, he made a choice to take everything my family had built and make it his own. I want it all back, and if I have to push him out to get it, then that's exactly what I'll do."

Hayley was about to ask if Klaus was going to let Hayley help him in planning when a car had pulled up outside the house.

Hayley stood up left the room, ignoring the brothers looks and began to walk down the stairs.

She sat on the nearest chair and watched as the door was slammed open.

A blonde woman entered the room.

Hayley watched as she saw the blonde's eyes land on her and then asked, "Who the hell are you?"

The blonde smiled dangerously at Hayley.

"I'm Rebekah Mikaelson, wolf girl. Now tell me where Elijah and Niklaus are before I show you how bad the temper I got from them is."
