Jongin jerks his head up from the cashier register when he sensed someone standing across him. "You scared the shit out of me, Jennie!"

The culprit giggles, mission accomplished. "Sorry, didn't know you're so funky."

"I told you lots of times that I easily get startled." He says, clearly not amused by the scare especially when the culprit is still grinning. "I swear to God if Lisa asked you to do this shit again."

"What's with my name running in your mouth again?" Lisa just came out from the stock room when she heard that. Due to the huge machine blocking her view, she's not able to see the person Jongin's frowning at.

"Did you tell Jennie to sneak up on me again?"

"Jennie?"

Jennie then peaks into Lisa's view causing the latter to break out a huge smile. She heard Jongin saying something along the line of "So whipped. Disgusting." but she's not really sure if she got it right. Too focused at the person who's now walking towards her clear view.

"Answer me." Jongin says and throws her a face towel which he luckily missed or else Lisa will surely get a facial of coffee stain and that will cause another circus in the shop — with Lisa chasing Jongin with a straw or fork, whatever she's able to grab.

Lisa looks at him. "No. Or maybe."

"You piece of sh— welcome to our café." he was not able to finish that because the door chimes went off, signaling a new customer coming in. "We're not yet done, Lisa." Jongin glares at the grinning Lisa before attending the new customer's orders.

Lisa, still grinning, looks at the equally grinning Jennie. "Hey, what brings you here?"

"Am I not allowed to visit the workplace of my girlfriend now?"

That earned a blush on Lisa's face, after 4 months of officially dating, Lisa isn't still used to it quite honestly. They had share of arguments, normal, but the Thai still gets the jitters in her stomach everytime Jennie boldly says that.

"Did not say anything like that. No late night meetings, I assume?"

Jennie stops right at the corner where Lisa is stationed to give more space for everyone in the shop. "Nope."

"That's good to know. That's the first ever since the start of the school year."

Jennie hums, eyes observing Lisa who's expertly attending the coffee maker while flipping the order tabs. One of the many things that Lisa is good at, is multi-tasking. "I know. Thank goodness our term is about to end."

Lisa looks up. "Both you and joohyun still have no plans for another term?"

The other shakes her head. "We're only two years, including this school year, before we graduate so it's best if we won't have any extra activities from now on."

Lisa looks down with a smile on her face while preparing the coffee to finally serve it. Jennie saw the smile and chuckles. "Someone is happy because she could get to spend more time with me."

Lisa briefly looks at her then winks. Jennie is still so damn weak and easily swoon when Lisa does that. "You bet."

The barista then taps the bell placed on the counter to call for a server to deliver the orders she had prepared on the tray. "Hey Jong, I'll take a quick break first."

"Yup. Go." He says, gone all the things he wanted to tell Lisa earlier about the jumpscare — he's too occupied.

Lisa removes her apron. "Hey Yerim."

The newly hired student looks up from cleaning an newly vacated table. "Yes unnie?"

"I'll take a break. Can you help Jongin in the counter please."

The freshman beams and excitedly makes her way to the location. "Of course." She has been so eager to learn more, they all noticed that.

Jongin looks over. "Change your apron to the spared barista one. Come and help me. We have piled up orders."

"Okay, oppa." Excitedly says the younger which earns a soft pat on the head from Lisa when she walked past her.

Lisa reaches out to hold Jennie's hand and leads her to the employee lounge room. "Want something to drink?" She asks after closing the door.

But before she could even take a step away or even let go of Jennie's hand, she was getting pulled close. The next thing she knew, arms are wrapped around her neck and a pair of lips on hers.

That caused a smile from Lisa and finds herself circling her arms around her girlfriend's waist to pull her even closer as they share a slow and passionate kiss.

The two have been very busy recently especially Jennie with the some back to back late student council meetings. Lisa understands though so she didn't really say anything or complain but she wished all of those meetings would stop soon not only because she wants to spend more time with Jennie but also mostly for the reason of having her girlfriend the luxury of good rest. So knowing that Jennie won't run for another term made her extremely relieved.

When their kiss finally broke off, both are gasping for air to breath with their foreheads touching against one another.

"I have missed you." says Lisa.

"I missed you too. I am so sorry for neglecting you for this past week."

Lisa smiles, leans in for a quick short peck before he leans back a bit so she could look at Jennie. "Hey. You did not neglect me. Not one bit. I truly understand."

Jennie starts pouting and it's taking everything of Lisa to stop herself from pinching those fluffy cheeks caused by the pout. "Still."

Lisa chuckles and tucks few wild card hair strands behind Jennie's ear. "It's okay. You have no meeting right?"

Jennie nods.

"Sleep over?"

And the pout immediately got replaced by a blinding beam. "Yes please."

Lisa smiles. "Nice. Now what do you wanna drink? My break time is almost over."

That made Jennie look at the clock and immediately hugs Lisa while pouting. "That's too fast!"

Lisa is now chuckling. "I know but we only have an hour left before we shut the shop. We'll go home in no time."

When Jennie didn't say anything nor move, Lisa just lets her — gone all the need to sit to relax her legs from standing way too long during her shift.

One last throaty moan and ecstatic cry filled the walls of Lisa's bedroom before two different but in sync pants followed.

Lisa rolls over and slumps herself on the bed beside Jennie's sweaty, naked and panting figure. Grabs series of wet tissues to wipe both of them clean then blindly throws all of it in the trash — and nothing missed the bin as usual.

Lisa then grabs Jennie close, landing a soft kiss on her forehead as the latter waddles her way in. Face snuggling against Lisa's slightly damp neck.

"Now that's what you call, reunion sex." Lisa says which made Jennie pinch her side — resulting to a groan coming from Lisa.

"Stop ruining the moment, jerk."

Lisa chuckles, her side still stings but the feeling of having Jennie in her arms beats that. "Just kidding."

There's a moment of silence between them, saved by the humming noise coming from the air conditioner. Jennie rests the side of her face against Lisa's chest, a hand gently caressing Lisa's stomach. "Do you have plans of going home?"

They have been trying not to touch this subject ever since Jennie knew about the entirety of Lisa's life story. It has become a forbidden topic between them not because Lisa said so but Jennie doesn't want to see that expression in Lisa's eyes anymore.

It's suffocating, so distant and so lonely.

But Lisa received a call from her mother about a week ago. Jennie didn't really ask her what they talked about but she knew it must be something related to family because the look in Lisa's eyes after the call was sort of a mystery she had yet to decipher.

"After the semester."

That immediate response caught Jennie's attention, so she had to look up. "Really?"

Lisa's eyes are staring right at the ceiling, arm wrapped around Jennie's shoulders. "Yeah. It's about time to face them anyway."

"Do you mind if I ask you what that call was all about last week?"

Silence.

Jennie's hand continues to caress Lisa's bare stomach, it's one of her ways of telling her that she doesn't have to force herself, that she can take all the time she needs.

"Dad is very sick."

"What?"

Lisa's jaws clenched, despite having a dad that's barely there throughout her life, she had shared good memories with him when she was young so hearing that news crushed her down.

"Lung cancer, stage four. Must've been from all those cigars he had smoked since his early teens."

"I am so sorry. How are you feeling?"

"I don't know. I honestly don't but I can't leave school when we're just two weeks away from finals. I told mom about this and she understood. Dad is in strong medication on top of having chemotherapy. That old man can wait, he promised me he will."

"You talked?"

"Yeah. Barely but we did. I'll hop on the first flight after my last exam."

Jennie leans upward to land a kiss on Lisa's cheek, the hand that was on the latter's stomach had gone up to caress the other cheek. "I am so proud of you. Everything will be okay."

Lisa turns her to face Jennie and smiles. "It will be. Can you come with me?"

"What? I— wouldn't your parents wonder?"

"No because they know."

"They know what? About us?"

Lisa nods. "Yes, I told them last week and mom said she wants to meet you. So does dad, or.. maybe I don't know. He didn't say a word anyway but I'll still bring you if you want to."

Jennie searched in Lisa's eyes any signs of bluffing but she found none, are they going too fast? Maybe but Lisa needs her more than anything else this time so who is she to say no?

"Okay. I'll go."

"Really?"

"Yes."

Lisa's smile widens and almost knocked Jennie's air out of her lungs when she kissed her deeply.

"Whoa! What was that for?"

Lisa grins, she's beaming. "For being the best woman ever! Can't wait for them to meet you."

The remaining conscious hours of their night were spent on just catching up until they'd fallen asleep — legs tangled and arms wrapped around one another.

"Holy shit, that was nerve wracking!" Jennie slumps her body on the bed as soon as she got inside Lisa's bedroom in their family house in Thailand.

Lisa chuckles as she pats Jennie's leg that is dangling on the edge of the bed. "That wasn't so bad and please lay down properly. You might hurt your back doing that."

Jennie immediately scoots up until her head touches the pillow. "I thought I'd pee in my pants when I was talking to your father."

"You did well though. Old man was just trying to intimidate you but you didn't back down so I am sure you passed."

"God, I must've lost a number of lives there."

"Stop exaggerating."

"I am not! That's what I felt! My family isn't this intimidating."

"Hah! Doubt that."

"It's true."

"Babe, I met a handful of your cousins and relatives. I doubt that."

"They all warmed up to you after you talked."

"So did my dad."

Jennie snorts. "This will be never ending."

Lisa chuckles, she then grabs Jennie by wrapping an arm around her. "Relax. You're fine."

Jennie immediately snuggles up right against Lisa's body. After that dinner with Lisa's parents downstairs, she just wants to be buried and hidden in Lisa's embrace away from intimidation.

Lisa's father's condition is thankfully improving. His body is responding to the treatment quite nicely. Though there is no guarantee of recovery just yet, their family decides to celebrate whatever progress her dad would have. You will never know the future so might as well celebrate small achievements.

Her mom and dad are still divorced, none of that changed but her mom decided to live back in the house to take care of her ex-husband. None of them are dating anyone anyway.

Faith also got the news and will be visiting them next week to pay respects to the head of the family she had once worked for almost half of her life.

The café had ramped up staffs anyway so her leave was approved almost instantly. Jennie finished all her tasks before leaving and Joohyun gave her a word that she will handle everything from then on.

"Dad doesn't want to see us hogging the house and looking after him. He hates being seen as weak, nothing has changed so he'd rather want us to visit places instead so where do you want to go?"

Jennie's eyes are shut close while still snuggled up towards Lisa. "He just shoo-ed you away."

"Agreed. Now so?"

"So what?"

"Places babe. Place."

"Anywhere as long as you're with me."

"Sweet but not helping. Seriously, any specific place you want us to go?"

Jennie huffs. "The only place I have in mind is a temple here in the city."

"Ah okay, that'll be our first stop tomorrow. Anything else?"

"None."

"Babe.."

"I am being serious. Just be my tour guide and let's explore." Jennie is starting to get annoyed by it so she ended up pinching Lisa's side — gently though.

"Ow! Fine fine."

"Good now please let me sleep. That talk with your parents drained me out."

"So extra."

"Shut up."

"'Make me."

Jennie opens her eyes, stares up at Lisa's face and deadpans. "Seriously? What are we? Five?"

"Your height cou— ow! Abuse!" That is all because of a pinch, yet again.

"Stop the height references."

"Okay okay now stop pinching me."

That's the only time Jennie finally let got of her flesh.

"Now kindly make me sleep and shut up. If you'd say something about making you shut up I will kick you out of this room."

"This is my room."

"And?"

"The self entitlement is not invited but I must say, it's very sexy."

Jennie is now visibly annoyed. "Lisa please. Let me sleep."

"Alright alright. Fine fine. Sleep well, little ba— ow!"

"Referencing heights again?"

"No! I was just calling you little baby without any references at all."

Jennie huffs, she knows this tactic so well. The nonstop talking and the nonstop attempts of making her annoyed — she knows those signs so well.

So, she climbs up on top of Lisa, straddling her thighs to settle herself down. Seeing that playful look in Lisa's eyes confirms her suspicions.

"You could've just say something than constantly annoying me." Jennie says, fingers now working on unbuttoning Lisa's pants.

There goes that smirk. "And where is the fun in that?"

"You are so annoying."

"So have been told."

Jennie's hands went up to remove Lisa's shirt. Jennie leans down, hovering her face just few inches away from Lisa's. "You want fun?"

The way Lisa's eyes darken brought a smirk on Jennie's face. The process of its transition is such a sight to see. "Shall we?" She asks again while trailing ghostly kisses on Lisa's jaw.

"Yes."

"Then shut up." Jennie says before capturing Lisa's lips.
