I put my hand on and stopped him from coming closer. I felt his hard fit body against his thin black shirt.
"Stop, Xander" I looked down remembering James and my promise.. I can't tell Xander.
"Jewel, I like you so much. I want you to be my girlfriend.. Please be mine..."
I like him a lot too.. I do. But I kept a promise.
I dropped my hand from his chest and I walked away.
I walked to the front porch and I watched the sun set.
I sniffed the nice scent of grass.
I want to be with Xander. I like him so much that I will burst.
I put my hands on my face.
How did I get myself into this...
"Hey, Jewel.." I felt an arm around me.
I looked to my right. "James?"
He looked at me with his deep green eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"I can't do it... I can't act like your girlfriend and not tell anyone."
"It's just a week."
"It feels too long, James."
I looked back to the sky. In the corner of my eye, I see James looking at me sadly.
He takes his arm off my shoulder.
I hear loud footsteps behind us.
"JAMES!"
I jump in at the sudden shout.
We turned around to see Xander with an angry expression on his face.
Xander grabbed the James' collar. "I heard everything."
"So?" James smirked.
"Why are you making her pretend as your girlfriend?"
I watched as Xander pushed James to the wall.
James replied, "It's a secret." He grinned.
Xander growled, "I swear, I really want to punch the sh-"
James punched Xander's stomach.
I watched in horror as Xander fell to his knees.
He got up and punched James back.

James' nose started bleeding.
I ran in the middle to try to stop them and I felt a big powerful hit on my head. I felt my head was light dizzy.
I then blacked out.

I woke up and opened my eyes. My vision was blurry and everything was slow. I felt my head throbbing in pain and I felt something cold on that painful spot.
I closed my eyes and breathed in and out.
I opened my eyes my vision was clear.
I looked around and I was lying on the couch. Xander was sitting on the ground his head down next to my neck.
I whispered, "Hey.."
His head snapped up and looked at me in concern.
"Are you alright? How do you feel?"
I smiled. "My head hurts."
"Yeah, I put ice on it." He caressed my cheek.
"What happened?" I stared in his deep brown eyes.
"James was about to hit me but you jumped in and he... hit you. He feels terrible about it."
Oh, I got punched by a boy.... Great news.
I stared at him, not knowing what to say.
"You must be surprised." He chuckled.
"I really don't know how I feel."
I took the ice pack off my head and threw it gently at the table.
"Too cold... hehe.." I explained when he gave me a cute confused look.
"You should rest more.."
"Okay. I will."
I watched as Xander got up and started to leave.
I held his hand at the right timing.
He looked back. "Need something? Water?"
"Yes, I need water and I need to tell you something."
"What is it?" He asked as he bent down.
"I like you too." I held his face and kissed his cheek.
