Bai YueSheng didn't have his abilities and at the moment he couldn't perceive anything. However as long as Ah Jiu was here then he didn't need to worry about this.

However the problem was although Ah Jiu had sensed the danger surrounding them, the humans he was with definitely couldn't. By the time they realized it would be too late.

Bai YueSheng thought then said, "Let's quickly get underway and leave this place."

Some of the young fellows had a good impression of him. The one that previously said he wanted to carry him said, "No need to rush. Sister Yun will help treat the wound on your foot, otherwise it might get infected."

Bai YueSheng said, "No need. Let's not waste time. When it gets dark, it will become dangerous."

The middle aged person in the team stared at him. "Your leg is still bleeding right now. If in the rush you accidentally tear the wound, what if the smell of the blood attracts the zombies?"

These words had the sound of prejudice. Clearly they were not happy with Jiang Yun saving this burdensome child.

But right now they also depended on Jiang Yun so they didn't say anything outright.

Bai YueSheng looked at these people and already knew in his heart what it was about. Jiang Yun and the young people were clearly from a military search and rescue team. Their objective might not be to save people, it could also be to obtain information. And the middle aged person and Zhou YaLi were people who survivors who they rescued along the way. They were terrified and wanted to hurry up to go to safe place. They didn't want any trouble.

Bai YueSheng didn't want to get into a disagreement with these people. Right now the situation was bleak. Selfish behaviour was normal. Saint-like people were very rare.

It was no use to say much to them. Bai YueSheng got up and walked towards Jiang Yun. "Sister Yun, I'm okay now. Let's leave ba."

Jiang Yun was looking at a communicator in her hand. Bai YueSheng took a glance at it and then his heart gave a thump.

This communicator... was running out of power!

Jiang Yun felt Bai YueSheng's gaze and hurried to put away the communicator. She said, "That's good too. If you can then let's leave."

Bai YueSheng grasped her wrist and stared at her. "Does the communicator have a GPS?"

Jiang Yun was startled. "Of course."

Bai YueSheng's face sank. "Without the GPS, do you know the way?" As he spoke, he already asked Ah Jiu to hack into the communicator and store the GPS system.

Jiang Yun jumped. Her handsome brow had some panic. "The GPS is right here with me, why would I not have it?"

Bai YueSheng understood why she wanted to conceal the truth. If the communicator ran out of power, then not being able to communicate with the base wasn't the problem, the frightening thing was that without the GPS they didn't know which way to go. Although the communicator could probably send out their coordinates but he could already tell the manpower at the base must be pretty tight. Who knew when they could gather up a team to rescue them?

Jiang Yun didn't want to cause a panic so she concealed it. But that would only work momentarily. Later if they were to get lost, then the chaos would be inevitable.

Bai YueSheng's conversation with Jiang Yun had raised other people's attention.

Zhou YaLi asked, "What are you talking about?"

Jiang Yun hurried to reply. "Nothing. Let's go." She held onto the communicator tightly. Although her face was still serious and determined, her hand was already beginning to sweat.

She met Bai YueSheng's eyes and indicated to him that she didn't want him to say anything. But who knew that Bai YueSheng would directly asked the rest of the young team members, "Who among you is also carrying a communicator?"

One of the people said helplessly, "A day ago we were surrounded by zombies. It was difficult to escape so we had to leave behind lots of things. Us three lost our communicators."

Bai YueSheng thought: it's just as I expected.

The young guy then said, "But don't worry. Sister Yun's communicator is still here. We only need one, as long as we don't separate we can get out of here."

Get out of here my ass! Bai YueSheng's brow knit. He asked Jiang Yun, "Is the back-up battery also gone?"

Jiang Yun's body was stiff as a board.

Bai YueSheng's question exposed everything on the table. As soon as that middle aged person heard he mmediately panicked and asked. "The communicator is running out of power? Do you have another battery? You definitely should have a backup battery!"

Jiang Yun looked quickly at Zhou YaLi. Zhou YaLi's face was pale and without waiting for Jiang Yun, she said. "It's gone... the bag with the backup battery was gone a few days ago!"

At that time Jiang Yun had, in order to save Zhou YaLi, used her body to block in front of her. The zombie had bitten her but the lucky thing was it had bitten her backpack and not her person.

At that time Jiang Yun had grabbed Zhou YaLi and ran. She didn't have time to pay attention to her backpack. After running far she realized that the pocket containing the backup battery had been torn by the bite and the battery was nowhere to be seen.

The atmosphere immediately chilled. Everyone stared in panic and dismay at Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun couldn't hold it any longer. She lowered her gaze and said in a voice that slightly trembled, "Don't worry... the communicator can send out coordinates. Even if it runs out of battery..."

Zhou YaLi screamed loudly. "No one will come to save us! We're dead, we're dead!!"

This dead city was already in a state of confusion. The communicator could not only help direct them to the base but it could also help alert them to zombies within a certain radius. Without it, normal humans like them would definitely not be able to get out!

Everyone fell into a state of panic and horror. The young people who were smiling and chatting before's faces were ashen, filled with fear.

The reason that Bai YueSheng wanted to expose all of this was to force Jiang Yun to show him the communicator before it was completely out of power.

Although he had already asked Ah Jiu to download all the data and leaving this place was definitely not a problem. However he couldn't expose Ah Jiu's existence so therefore he needed to look at it with his own eyes.

"Give the communicator to me."

Jiang Yun froze.

Bai YueSheng said severely, "Show me the map inside."

Jiang Yun was confused. "It's no use... there's no point to memorize it. Right now the city is very different from before. Even if you memorize it, you can't be certain..."

"Give it to me!"

Jiang Yun hesitated but then finally handed over the sweat-soaked communicator to Bai YueSheng.

Everyone all crowded over and looked at the 1% left battery indicator and their hearts all felt like it was dangling on a tightrope. That flashing red battery indicator was like a death knell.

Bai YueSheng scrolled through it quickly, so quickly that the people around him couldn't get a clear look.

After Bai YueSheng had seen the entire thing the battery ran out. The communicator screen went dark and all the people around felt their bodies fill with despair.

Bai YueSheng returned the communicator to Jiang Yun. He said, "Sister Yun, can you carry me?"

Jiang Yun couldn't react at first.

Bai YueSheng said, "If I walk myself I will delay the speed. It's not safe around here, we need to leave quickly."

Ah Jiu had already analyzed it. Out of the six people here, Zhou YaLi's strength was the weakest. The middle aged man was normal, and the three young people were all had good spirits but their bodies were weak right now. If they carried Bai YueSheng then they would probably been even slower than Zhou YaLi. Only Jiang Yun had had special training. Although she was a woman however her body was very strong. Right now she was the most powerful one.

Bai YueSheng didn't want a girl to carry him however if he didn't do this then this group of people would all die here, so there wasn't time to worry about it.

Jiang Yun looked at the overly beautiful youth in front of her, and her heart felt a little bit restless... could he really lead them out of here?

Bai YueSheng immediately saw her thoughts and he said softly, "Trust me. No one wants to die."

As his voice landed, Jiang Yun picked him up and put him on her back. She took a deep breath and said, "Let's go!"

Bai YueSheng fulfilled the role of a perfect guide. In the beginning Zhou YaLi and the middle aged person were very dissatisfied with him and felt that he was making things up. They thought because he was too useless and scared of being left behind so he pretended to know the way.

But after four hours had passed no one disbelieved Bai YueSheng any longer.

As for whether or not the path they were going on was correct was impossible to tell but what could be clearly seen was that in these four hours they had not run into a single zombie. It was like Bai YueSheng came with a self-contained detector, he could always tell when a zombie was near and was able to perfectly avoid them.

This way after walking for three days they finally reached the base. Everybody was so excited and relieved to be alive they couldn't contain themselves.

Jiang Yun excitedly held Bai YueSheng and turned around in ten circles.

Bai YueSheng who was spun until he was dizzy: Sister, your arms are too strong! Does your future husband know!?

These couple of days of being together had led Bai YueSheng to know more about Jiang Yun's situation. They were considered volunteers. Because their bodies were strong and had some self-defence capabilities, so a few like minded people came together to accept missions given by the government. Some missions involved collecting zombie specimens, some were to retrieve important objects left behind in the dead city, and others were to save people....

Upon completion of the mission, the government would give out significant remuneration In this chaotic time, the only way to keep surviving was to keep making oneself more powerful.

This remuneration were very important in order to build one's power. They could use it to purchase food, or exchange or weapons. Only though taking risks could they advance their power, then they might be noticed by the superhumans. If they could also awaken a super ability, then they didn't need to worry about zombies any longer!

After returning to base, Jiang Yun already trusted Bai YueSheng a lot. So when Bai YueSheng said he wanted to go with them to obtain the next government mission, she didn't hesitate to agree.

Bai YueSheng needed to gather resources and this was a good starting point. Jiang Yun's natural talent was high. If he carefully cultivated her then she would be a big help to him in the future.

Right now his body was too weak. Don't even talk about acting independently, if he couldn't find people he could trust, then his days would be very difficult.

Although Bai YueSheng had had all his powers remove and had been restricted from using any of the props and devices he had purchased from the shop, however in the intergalactic world he had once been the youngest academic at the research lab. The information he carried in his head was enough to change the world.

Combined with his ability to see through people and discern their hearts, and Ah Jiu's power information gathering assistance, in two short years he had broadened his power and established a volunteer alliance. He had become one of the most powerful and influential figures in the western base.

With this kind of foundation, Bai YueSheng didn't need to go and confront zombies face to face anymore. But his body was really too useless. All he did was stay up the whole night to research how to upgrade a weapon and the next day he couldn't get out of bed.

Jiang Yun came to see him and couldn't help saying, "There's no need to rush and ruin your own body." After speaking she helped Bai YueSheng sit up to drink water.

Bai YueSheng had to take deep breaths just to get words out. "It's okay. It was only later than normal by three hours." Back in the past he could not sleep for a few years and nothing would happen!

Jiang Yun frowned. Her eyes were filled with worry but her voice was still very clear. "If you sleep late again next time, then I will lock down the research lab and not let you in!"

Bai YueSheng was actually scared. Right now he didn't have the ability to break locks. So he hurried to say, "I won't rush, I won't rush. I definitely won't do it anymore."

Jiang Yun reminded him a few more things then after accompanying him to eat breakfast, left. Although the alliance was established by Bai YueSheng, however the person actually in charge of day to day things was Jiang Yun. So she was extremely busy and had a lot of duties. It was already very difficult for her to come to see Bai

YueSheng every day.

Bai YueSheng and Jiang Yun's cooperation was very harmonious. Although he didn't want to get close to anyone in his travelling through the worlds, he had no choice in this because his body was too weak. If he didn't rely on others he couldn't live. So he treated Jiang Yun wholeheartedly as his younger sister.

The coincidence was Jiang Yun didn't have any family. In these two years of working together she had also come to think of Bai YueSheng as her family.

So why didn't any sparks fly between these two people? En, Bai YueSheng was "so bent he was swirly eyed" pure zero. Don't talk about not being interested in women, he couldn't even develop any interest in people who he felt like were shous. And Jiang Yun was a extremely extremely straight woman. Her dating criteria was: taller than her, stronger than her, buffer than her.

Thus the weak Bai YueSheng was given a pass by her, and also to protect his respect, Jiang Yun didn't dare tell this beautiful boy that she thought of hi as her younger sister! No she would hide this thought in her heart forever.

Bai YueSheng returned to the bed and lay down for a while and it wasn't until afternoon that he could just barely get up to walk a few steps.

He paced around trying to strengthen his body and felt worried.

This world's mission was to find the original toxin. This object should come from another world, and somehow unknowingly came to this plane and incited this kind of apocalyptic disaster.

To obtain this kind of object was very difficult.

He had operated for two years and established the volunteer alliance. However it was only famous in the western base. A good analogy was he was like he was a town mayor in a province in China.

If the town mayor wanted to possess a spaceship, was that possible?

Don't even dream about it!

Although he had many followers however he had not met one superhuman. To this day he had not even met a single member of this top of the food chain species... his progress was really too slow!

Without super abilities, the amount of things he could achieve was restricted. The only things was destroying some low level zombies, and obtain a few weapons that have been thrown away. Don't even talk about killing a high level zombie, it probably couldn't even kill a mutated cabbage head.

Because he had not made contact with superhumans, so Bai YueSheng had no way to obtain the information he needed. He also didn't know how to awaken a super ability and so if he couldn't use this kind of power then he could only use weapons to increase his combat power.

Although the high level knowledge from the intergalactic plane was inside his head however he was restricted by the level of his resources. He clearly had the knowledge on how to create a mecha, but right now he could only upgrade some useless weapons...

To squander his talent like this. If Jeremy was here, then he would probably explode the world out of his dissatisfaction.

Bai YueSheng sighed. He really missed the him that could do anything.

After worrying for another person, an opportunity finally landed on his lap.

A VIP guest came to the little base.

This was the first time Bai YueSheng had seen a superhuman. He was wearing a tight suit and leather boots. A white-faced, red-haired beautiful boy.

So cute!

The beautiful boy really looked pretty good. However his temper wasn't good at all, really he made people want to beat him up. He sat down as though he owned the place, raised his chin and said, "Which one of you is Bai YueSheng?"

Right now it was Bai YueSheng's nap time. His body was weak. If he didn't sleep well then he would even stagger when walking. However since an important superhuman had finally come so Bai YueSheng didn't want to pass up on the opportunity so he forced Jiang Yun to bring him over.

"Hello." Bai YueSheng said politely. "I'm Bai YueSheng."

That red-haired beautiful boy swept his leg across then stood up looking at him. "Ah? It's a woman?"

Bai YueSheng: "...." F*** you you red haired brat! This old man will make you live to regret your words!
