Annabeth POV
I had a goode day at school today. Get it?
I really should stop hanging out with Leo so often, he is infecting me with his bad pun disease.
Anyways, I would have had an even better day if Hazel and Reyna didn't cancel on giving me a ride at the last moment because I quote 'some important thing at the library came up.'They have never even set foot in the library, let alone have some 'important thing' there. I know what they are trying to do, I am not stupid.
I walked around the school until I finally found him in a conversation with Grover. His eyebrows scrunched up at something. I being the impatient person I am interrupted their conversation by tapping his shoulders.
'Hey, Annabeth.' He grinned at me as he turned around.
'Hi, Peter. Hazel and Reyna ditched me at the last moment for their important work at the library and told me that you agreed on giving me a ride.'
Peter raised his eyebrows obviously not knowing what I was talking about and glared at Grover whose expressions said "please don't harm me, it wasn't my idea." After watching their staring contest for about two minutes, Peter turned to me. 'Of course, just let me grab my stuff.' I nodded as he pushed his books inside his bag. We waved at Grover who was late for his date.
'I am not that bad of a company you know.' I looked at Peter
' W-what?' He stammered
I chuckled.'I know they didn't tell you a thing and also that their oh so important business in the library is just an excuse.'
He laughed.'You truly stand up to your name, Wise girl.'
I rolled my eyes. ' Yeah, I sure do.'
Both of us knew what were their true intentions but neither of us pointed it out.
'That's my car.' Peter pointed out to a Blue Prius proudly.
'I have been in your car dumbo. I know which one it is.'
'Okay, no need to be mean if a man just wants to show off his car.'
'Now that I think of your car. Why is it dented? Oh yeah, you must have slipped on it considering how clumsy you are. And of course, it had to be blue.' I joked
'You know I can't live without blue!'
'So you actually tripped on it?'I laughed
'It was an accident!'He protested
I kept on laughing
' Are you done, can we go now?'He folded his arms
I stepped into his car still laughing
'So where do you live?' He asked
Give me your phone, I will put my address in the GPS.' He gave it to me and I did just that. After a moment of silence, he turned on the radio.
The current song playing was Stitches by Percy Jackson, without realizing I started humming to the song.
Now it was Peter's turn to laugh. 'Your humming/Singing is terrible.'
'Like yours in any better.'I countered suddenly embarrassed
'It is.'He replied
'Okay then, show me.'
'Um'
'I knew it.'I laughed
He seemed ready to argue but stopped himself. We talked some more, which was basically roasting each other. Until Peter stopped the car. I looked out the window and saw that we were at the same ice cream parlor we had ice cream a few days ago.
'Ice cream?' He asked.
I glanced at my watch,' We won't have much time then to get ready for the amusement park.'
'It won't take too long besides how about I wait for you in the car, till you get ready, and then you can do the same for me.' 'Ohkay works for me.' I smiled at the idea of me not driving by myself all the way there. I was so in my thoughts I didn't notice Peter getting out of the car and opening the door for me.
'I can do that myself.'I annoyingly said
'I was expecting something like oh what a gentleman.'He teased
'Oh my gosh, you opened my door for me! You are my knight in the shining armor, what would I even do without you?' I mockingly asked
'You can't survive a day without me.'He agreed completely ignoring my sarcasm
I glared at him, he laughed in response
We walked up to the ice cream shop.
'Cookies and cream?'He asked me
"Yup, blueberry for you?'I asked
He nodded
He moved closer to the shop
I did the same
'Hello, nice to see you again.' The shopkeeper lit up in recognition
'Likewise' Peter replied
'What can I get for you and your lady this time sir?'He asked
Seriously? Are we living in the 90th century?
'Cookies and Cream for her and blueberry for me.' He smirked looking at my annoyed face
The shopkeeper gave us our orders and Peter was taking out his wallet to pay
'Peter, what is Octavian doing her?' I asked in an alarming tone
'Where is he?' He turned back
'Here.' I gave the shopkeeper the money
'That's not fair!'He stomped his feet
The shopkeeper laughed at our little show and then went back to whatever he was doing
' It is for last time.'I smirked
'We didn't even eat our icecreams last time!' He protested
' Correction, you didn't but I did. Also, you stopped at this particular shop just to annoy me, didn't you?'
' You know me so well.' He smirked
I licked my cookies and cream.'I know you enough to know that you are the most gullible person I have ever met.'
'Not true.' He replied
'It is.' I smiled
'Nope.' He crossed his hands
'Yes! It is.' I looked right into his eyes, trying my best to intimidate him.
'No!' He replied, not backing out
'Yes.' I wasn't going to back out either.
'No times 100. '
'Yes to the power infinity.'
'No to whatever you said times 100.'
'You can't say that.'
'Why not.'
'I used infinity.'
'So?'
'Ugh, let's get moving already' I finally broke the eye contact
'I won, didn't I?' He grinned and looked pleased with his victory
'Nope, you did not, I just don't want to waste my valuable time, explaining simple math to you.'
'Whatever wise girl'
'Whatever kelp head'
'You are copying Thalia, it is not even an original insult.'He retorted
'Shut up cookie addict.'
'As you wish owl head.'
'Come on.' I dragged him to the car knowing that there would be no outcome of this fight.
We drove to my house laughing, joking, and occasionally fighting, I informed my step mum where I was going and put my school bag in its place. I walked out of my house and we did the same for Peter, but he parked his car quite far away from his home thus I had to wait for a longer duration. Finally, when he came back we headed towards the amusement park.

Piper smirked at us.'You two came together?'
'Well, Hazel and Reyna-' I began explaining
' Save it Annabeth, we asked him to give you a drive to your home not here.' Reyna smirked
'Well, I-uh' How was I supposed to respond to that?
The three of them snickered. Peter either didn't notice what they said or pretended that he didn't and started making a conversation with Nico and Grover.
'So Annabeth when is Luke coming?' Thalia asked me
'He was supposed to be here, did you call him?' I asked her.
'No need to.' Another voice answered
I turned around and hugged him. Everyone stopped talking and turned their attention to us.
Though he was just in his casual orange T-shirt and jeans, he was looking as handsome as ever. His dirty blonde hair was shining in the sunlight and his blue eyes sparkled at the sight of me.
'Luke you made it.' I spoke from his shoulder
'Why wouldn't I.'He grinned and then hugged Thalia as well.
Luke snatched the water bottle that Thalia was holding.
'Hey!' She complained
'I am Thirsty.' He shrugged giving her a lopsided grin.
Hazel coughed, indicating to introduce them
'Guys this is Luke our friend from SF and Luke this is Hazel, Piper- you already met her, Reyna, Jason, Grover, Nico, Juniper, Peter, Frank, Will, and Leo.' I pointed towards each one of them.
When I introduced Peter I saw him look away. Rude!
Everyone greeted him, except Peter. What is his problem?
It looked like he wanted to become invisible
When Luke greeted Peter, he was forced to look at him
He mumbled a 'hi'
Luke suddenly realized something and started choking on his water.
Am I missing something here?
'Luke, can I talk to you?' To my surprise, Peter asked.
Luke managed a nod and then both of them went towards the exit.
PETER ACTED SO RUDELY AND LUKE LET IT SLIDE? THAT'S NOT THE LUKE OR PETER I KNOW!
What are they even gonna talk about, they just met for heaven's sake!
Leo voiced what all of us were thinking.
' That- was weird.'
