They reached the TARDIS, having run non-stop from the church hall. The Doctor still had her hand clamped in Harriets, dragging her along in fear she'd stop dead in fear any moment. She shoved open the door, pushing Harriet inside and locking the doors behind them. She let out a heavy breath, quickly moving to the console and trying to brainstorm a plan.

"Right, Collavee. What do we know? We know what they look like, what they can do and what they're up to. Pretty good start actually. I'll see search the TARDIS again, see if..." The Doctor ranted, coming to a halt once she spotted Harriet.

The human was sat on one of the steps leading to the console, her arms wrapped around her knees. She stared forwards into space, a few tears rolling down her cheeks. The Doctor watched her for a moment. She moved to sit beside her, awkwardly fiddling with her own hands.

"Are you alright? Stupid question, obviously you're not. Sorry." The Doctor asked.

"Who are you?"

"I'm The Doctor."

"But who is The Doctor? Because you said earlier you wouldn't hurt me and all outside life wasn't a threat. And you said you were told about those aliens on Gammer-ray..." Harriet began.

"Gallifrey."

"Yeah that. You've got this ship but you look human, like me." She concluded, wiping away her tears and finally looking at The Doctor.

"You actually look like me. I'm a Time Lord, not human. We came first. My home planet is called Gallifrey, it's about 250 million light-years away from here. I'm just here to help." The Doctor explained.

"If you're a doctor, can you save that man? Or is he..."

"I'm sorry, Harriet. It's too late for him. Collavee venom is deadly, it'll kill you in a few minutes. It could be stabilised or slowed but there's no cure. The Collavee change their venom depending on their enemy so often, I wouldn't even know where to stay countering it. That's probably why they killed that man, adapt themselves to humans."

Harriet let out a small sob, wiping her nose on the back of her hand. "I don't even know him, we don't take names at reception. Sorry, silly of me to cry over a stranger."

"Don't be sorry, it means you care." The Doctor smiled, rummaging in her pocket to find a tissue that she handed to Harriet. "Do you want to leave? I can get you out safely and finish up here."

"No, no, it's fine. I'm okay." Harriet replied, drying her eyes. She pulled herself up from the step, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "Can't leave you here alone, I'm still technically in charge.  What do we need to do?"

The Doctor smiled up at her, impressed by the human's resilience, before jumping up to join her. She made her way back towards the console, "First, we offer them an alternative leaving solution. Everyone deserves a second chance at peace, they can leave on their own or with my help."

"And what if they refuse to go?"

The Doctor gave Harriet a stern look, hoping it wouldn't come to that as it so often did. "I make a plan B. I don't know their origin planet or even where they're based. And who knows how many there will be if that Collavee was telling the truth about a transporter." The Doctor let out a defeated sigh, not happy with the odds stacking against her.

"Can you not do the same as before? Use that device of yours to make a loud noise?" Harriet suggested.

"It's not enough, it was a good distraction to get us out but not enough to... unless... I could amplify the sound using the TARDIS. I could build a device around the Sonic, wire it back to here."

"You'd overload their hearing, would it kill them?"

"Maybe. It'd definitely weaken them."

"Could you do more? You said all their senses were heightened, well what if you attack more than their ears? Like flashed a bright light at them or released a strong gas?" Harriet suggested, wanting to help in any way she could.

"Harriet, that's a brilliant idea! Not overly been on your excitement to battle an alien race though." The Doctor laughed, "Right, let's get started."

The Doctor span around, furiously typing at the keyboard on the console.  She slotted the Sonic Screwdriver into the holder once again before suddenly bolting up some steps to the side and out the main room. Moments later she reappeared, coils of wiring slung over one shoulder and holding a box full of random junk. Harriet jumped back as The Doctor dropped the stuff at their feet.

"What do you need me to do?" Harriet asked.

"I need something sticky." The Doctor replied, sifting through her box of bits and pieces. "Like tape, blue tack or glue. Haven't got any in here, can you go look outside? Be careful."

Harriet nodded and quickly hurried from the TARDIS, emerging back out into the security room. She looked around, checking the shelves, inside storages boxes and at the main desk. She finally found a roll of tape in the drawer of the desk; she turned to return to The Doctor but stopped upon noticing the security cameras.

The screen broadcasting the three cameras in the main church showed movement within. The benches previously piled against the door in the corner has been pulled away and the door wide open. The Collavee they met stood in the small cupboard space frantically pressing buttons on a machine against the wall. A circular device sat on the floor further behind them, emitting a soft glowing light.

Harriet flicked a switch on the audio panel below the screens, letting the low sounds fill the room. She watched the Collavee press a final button before leaning back and letting out a loud roar. The outer of the device started spinning slowly and blaring a bright white light.

"Doctor?" Harriet called out, thinking the Time lord would want to see. The teleporter let out a grinding noise and in a flash, an identical alien appeared. It stepped from the device, another one appeared and copied its predecessor. One by one a stream of Collavee teleported into the room and took its place in the church. "Doctor!"

The Doctor ran from the TARDIS, wires trailing from her hand, multiple clicked into the Sonic.  A small spray nozzle was in her other hand. "What's wrong, did you find some glue?" The Doctor spotted the screen Harriet was watching. "Ah. That's not good. We don't have a lot of time. Harriet, tape please."

She grabbed the tape and secured the nozzle onto the Sonic, then pulled a torch from her pocket and added it on too. "A bit slapdash but it'll have to do. Now, Harriet, I need you to listen. It's important. This is dangerous, properly this time. One Collavee is a hard enough task but a fully-fledged army is deadly. You must stay here..."

"But I want to..." Harriet tried to interrupt but was silenced by The Doctor placing a finger on her lips.

"Listen to me. You must stay here and watch the cameras. I don't want to walk around and have something jump out on me. I also don't want the Collavee getting shot at you or this device causing you to go deaf."

"How do I let you know? Do you have a phone I can call?" Harriet asked, pushing away The Doctor's finger.

"Nah, something way cooler!" The Doctor reached back into the TARDIS and pulled out two items; one simple headset with a microphone and one small ear clip. "Headset is for you, it's connecting to this earpiece which I'll be wearing. I can hear you but I can't talk back but you should hear enough on the camera audio. Is this all making sense?"

"Yeah, I understand. Will you be okay? I don't mind coming with you, I know it's dangerous. How're you going to protect yourself?" Harriet offered, taking the headset and hanging it around her neck.

"You're very kind, Harriet. I like that quality in my mates."

"Am I really your friend? Never been mates with an alien before."

"Oh definitely. Maybe I'll even show you a friendly alien race once we're done here." The Doctor commented, clipping the earpiece into place and walking towards the door. "I can't lock the door because of the cable attaching the Sonic to the TARDIS. If by any chance the Collavee gets close, get inside the TARDIS. She'll keep you safe."

"Understood. How are you staying safe?" Harriet asked again, watching The Doctor leave the room.

"Good luck, stay safe and just in case, it's been smashing meeting you, Harriet. See you later." The Doctor replied, walking away down the corridor; Harriet's question still left unanswered.
