As Felicity walked towards the exit of the airport, she found someone familiar standing there, there was no doubt that Alexander came himself to pick up Felicity from the airport when she arrived to the capital.

"I came to pick you up," Alexander said in his natural husky and low voice making sure to make his point.

"I see," Felicity nodded nonchalantly and Alexander reached out to take her suitcase from her.

"Let's go," he said before starting to make his way towards the Range Rover that was parked securely.

Why did he come to pick me up himself? Felicity wondered.

Both of them clumped up their own seats, since there was no driver so Alexander took her steering wheel while Felicity sat of passenger seat.

Both of them said nothing as the car's engine came to life and it got on the road, making its way to Denise Hotel where they had their suits already booked. Two professors and four students had their own suits to themselves and the whole arrangement was significantly lavish.

"The schedule has changed, they are going to have some games on the second day after the quiz and postpone those quizzes to the third day." After a long awkward silence, Alexander decided to break the ice.

"Then the third day will only have speeches?" Felicity turned to look at him with her wide double lid eyes and her mouth hung open, looking like a little doe.

"Ahuh," Alexander nodded.

"Ohh god! No! That will be so boring," Felicity exclaimed in disbelief, a whole day of just speeches is just too much of a torture.

"I'm actually looking forward to it since one of those speeches will be yours," Alexander glanced at Felicity and said softly, an almost invisible smile on his face.

"It will only gonna be about twelve minutes the the rest of the day will be boring," Felicity replied, she was only given 12 minutes to speak at most.

"What can we do? It's probably our fault that we're outstanding students," Alexander chuckled, they had a responsibility so now they will have to fulfil it.

"How is your health?" He asked after some pause, a looke of worry was evident in his eyes.

That day he called Felix about it but never directly asked Felicity because of what happened before, it was only fine to take a step back.

However, he made sure to have his updates. He was actually worried if it was because of him that she was stressed, did he stress her with his approach?

"Pretty good," Felicity nodded, with her protective mother by her side, there was no way that she wouldn't be healthy now.

"Aunt Lin has been so anxious, I got a call a few days ago from her asking to take care our your rest and diet," Alexander recalled with a soft chuckled. At that time aunt Lin was talking in such a dominant manner that it was pretty cute.

She made sure to stress ever details precisely about Felicity's diet and rest.

"She's been doing those for quite sometime," Felicity signed and warmth flooded her heart, it's so good to have a mother, they are always the best.

(A/n please cherish your moms. Tell them that you love them, give then care and affection. You never know when you might loose them and life will never be the same again.)

"It's acceptable since she's only worried about you and I already told her that I'll make sure you don't faint here," Alexander replied.

That was the least he could do since he wasn't there to check up on her in the hospital.

"Can't be sure about the third day," Felicity laughed and it was Alexander look at her as his grip of steering wheel tightened before he turned away to look on the road.

"I actually wanted to ask you something if you don't mind," Felicity said nervously after a pause.

She was actually worried if it was her place to ask or not but she decided to to ask anyway.

"Ask away," Alexander said casually.

"The person who tried to assault you that day is Gina Chen," Felicity said slowly as if trying to check any signs of discomfort but she did not see any.

Alexander was expressionlessly staring straight at the road but a wave of nausea suddenly hit his bones.

"Yeah," Alexander said lowly.

"Why is she still out there in open and signed under your company?" Felicity asked softly, trying not to hit any vulnerable spot.

Alexander thought about that night and clenched his jaw subconsciously.

"Have you heard of the term 'keep your friends close but your enemies closer'?" He asked, his voice was casually but there was a hint of coldness it it that he was desperately trying to hide.

"Hmm."

"I have my own doubts to believe that it was all a conspiracy and Gina was involved in it," He replied and loosened his jaw.

"So you want to keep her in your eyesight to figure out about who is behind all this?" Felicity looked at Alexander in not so shoked manner.

It was just like the novel, how Alexander had this misunderstanding and everything started from here.

"Yes,"

"What if it was all just a big coincidence?" Fecility couldn't help but ask after all it was all just the coincident according to the book.

"Then it's good for her, if not.." Alexander said this time not trying to hide any emotions. His voice was very cold and ruthless and it sent shivers down Felicity's spine.

Alexander who lost control of his emotions, sighed deeply.

'Was he being weak if he showed that he wasn't actually so invulnerable?' He pondered.

Thinking about that night If he was being honest...even if he didn't want to admit it, it was traumatizing. He was conscious and aware of what was happening and what was about to happen but he didn't have the strength to stop it, it was..."

"We're here," He cut off his thoughts.

Felicity looked at the massive French style hotel and got out of the car. Alexander also got out and gave the keys to the valet.

They got Felicity checked in and the receptionist told them that her luggage will already be in her suit.

They both walked in comfortable silence till they arrived to suit 897 where Felicity will stay. None of them said anything this entire time and felicity was actually scared about what to say after she touched the sensitive topic.

So she just turned towards her room after saying a quick thank you and goodnight.

"Felicity," Alexander suddenly called out behind her.

"Yea?"

"I also wanted to ask you something," he said.

"Ask away,"

"Friends?" With his thumb tightly tucked in between his fingers, clenched into a fist, he asked.

When he was a kid, whenever he was nervous, he would talk his thumb in between his clenched fist. He hadn't done it in so long.

Felicity looked at his clenched fist with his thumb tucked in it. Because she had read the book, she knew that he was nervous.

Her gaze landed on head face that still looked very calm and expressionless.

'What an actress'

"Friends."
