My hands shake as I dial his phone number.
"Malcom Thorne. Who is this?" my breath catches in my throat.
It's been so long.
"Are you happy? Does- does she make you happy?" I ask him a beat after he picks up.
"Auty is that you?"
"Answer the question Mal." I hold my breath, even though I already know what the answer will be.
"Autumn, what's going on, are you okay?" He asks in a worried tone, I hear whispers in coming from his side of the call.
"Please.."
"..."
"... I- I'm sorry to bother you. I shouldn't have called. I hope you and Kate have a good life. Goodbye Malcolm..congratulations, by the way.." I say, rushed.
"Autumn-" there's a pause, and I hear a woman in the back "... I'll see you around okay? I'll call you back just give me a sec-"
"Bye Mal."
Then I end the call.
