After months of planning, today's finally the day. I was so nervous but also so excited to finally be marrying the girl I love. I was sitting in my room waiting just on my phone when Lando walked in.
"Hey mate, how are you feeling?" he asked
"Nervous and excited," I replied
"it'll be fine. Your meant for each other and I'm so happy for the both of you." He said
"Thanks, mate," I replied
We chatted for a bit and got changed and ready to go. Then it was finally time. I walked down the middle of the aisle as stood at the end and waited.
Then Eye of the tiger started playing and Danny and Lando walked in with bum bags full of petals and started throwing them dramatically over the floor. We all laughed at them especially Danny as he was overly dramatic but it was a bit of fun. Then the music changed and her best friends/ bridesmaids walked out and then finally her and her father. She looked amazing in a beautiful white dress and flowers.
When she arrived at the alter, she kissed her father's cheek and handed her flowers to Libby and we took each other's hands and smiled wide.
"You look beautiful," I said
"Thank you and you looked very handsome." She replied
"We are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in marriage." The women started saying
She said a few more words and asked about objections and of course, it was silence, then finally it was onto the vows. I was up first.
"Y/N ever since I first laid eyes on you in the paddock, I knew we were meant to be. I instantly felt a connection to you and was determined to get to know you. I know you were closed off, to begin with, and with a good reason but I was so happy when you finally let me in and I got to see the real you. I have fallen in love with such an amazing woman who was the half of my heart I was missing until we met. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you." I said
"Thank you and now Y/N," said the women
"If I could go back and tell myself 5 years ago that I would be marrying the annoying guy who wouldn't leave me alone she wouldn't believe me, but God am I happy that you never gave up, you taught me how to love again and for that I will be forever grateful. Yes, we went through a rough patch but we made it through it better than ever. I'm so lucky that I found my soulmate in you and I will always love you until the day I die and after." She said
It was beautiful her vows. We exchanged rings and then
"I may now pronounce you husband and wife; you may now kiss the bride." The woman said
We kissed and everyone clapped. We then took each other's hands and walked back down the aisle together and outside.
Y/N
I can't believe we're finally married. This is one of the happiest days of my life. We took a couple of pictures and some with family and friends and then walked into the reception when everyone was inside. It was beautiful and exactly as I had imagined and wanted it to look.
We ate chatted and had fun and then it was time for our first dance. The music started and we started to dance together just us on our own for a bit and then our family and friends started joining in. the song ended and some fun music started playing so we danced together.
We cut the cake and ate some and it was delicious. Overall, it was a great day and we all had fun. We had the last dance when everyone had gone and it was beautiful. I had hurt it was a nice moment to get some time together like this after the busy day and it was nice. Once the song ended, we went up to our room.
George carried me through the door and dropped me on the bed as we laughed
"This has been the best day of my life," George said
"Same here," I replied
"I love you." He said
"I love you," I replied
