"Mimi?!"

Well decisions have been made, thoughts have been thunk and Miki was fucked.

But lets explain how he got in this...peculiar situation.

The day started off normal enough, Hizashi made pancakes for breakfast, Hizashi called the school to see when they were planning on actually letting him attend and Miki went with him to work. It was only the second day of the training camp anyways, nothing was likely to happen until 1-A started getting sick of spending time together 24-7.

Well, he wasn't entirely right. Things didn't become a problem until, around 7pm Midoriya texted him to tell someone that there might be a forest fire nearby. Miki thought it was strange to say the least, no one had mentioned a high fire risk for the area they were in, although with a group of teens who could have fire quirk surrounded by wood it was entirely possible. Miki had told his foster dad, who had called his other foster dad, who said he didn't smell or see anything and it would be fine.

15 minutes later, Miki couldn't stop thinking about it. His dad could be in danger. His dad could-

wait.

Back the fuck up.

His DAD?

Miki involuntarily threw his face into his bed, trying to smother himself out of embarrassment. He seriously did not just think that about Shota. The 14 year old wracked his brain, searching for the moment the man had crossed from caretaker to parents and-the lines were so blurred. He had no idea when it happened. How long had he been doing it? What if he said something out loud?

Hizashi and Shota had called him their son, but that might have been out of obligation. He was their foster son.

But so was Hitoshi. Well, until they got back from the trip. Then he would be his real son. But Hitoshi already called them dad and pops. Does that mean Miki can too? Does that mean he should? Does that mean he wants to?

He didn't know. He just didn't know.

Just as it seemed he was going to spend the whole evening wallowing in self doubt, his phone chimed. Another message from Midoriya.

'Midoriya Izuku shared his location, but we couldn't pinpoint it. This is our closest guess.'.

It was an automated message, and one that gave him horrible deva vu from his encounter with the hero killer.

Although Midoriya hadn't actually told him anything, it felt like Miki knew all he needed to. Quickly, he changed into some heavier pants. Ones less likely to cut easily. He put on a jacket and walked to the hall to grab his boots and go.

Somewhere in his panicked state of mind he must have forgotten about Hizashi being in the house, as the moment he reached for the doorknob the pro hero's hand enveloped his.

"Where are you going, treasure?" Hizashi asked, sounding a little jokey, but mostly concerned. "If I did or said something that upset you, you need to tell me about it. Not just leave again.". He pulled Miki around to face him and cupped his cheeks.

"What's going on in that loud head of yours?" Hizashi asked calmly. It was a lie though, his hands were shaking ever so slightly.

Miki felt like a piece of shit. He shouldn't have tried to do this, not after they lost him the first time. Running off was the last thing he should do. If he got hurt again, Midoriya might never forgive himself and neither will Shota.

"Shota's in danger. Midoriya-he sent me his location. That's kind of our way of telling someone things are really bad. They need my help, he called out for me ." Miki put emphasis on the word, wanting Hizashi to know that he couldn't just go himself and leave Miki at home.

The pro hero seemed to search his eyes for a moment but nodded in the end.

"Get my keys kiddo. Your dad's gonna kill us for this.".

------ ------ ------ ------ ------- ------ ------ -------

So they drove for nearly an hour. It was completely dark by the time they got to the remote longitude and latitude Midoriya's phone had last been seen at.

Well, except for the prominent blue and orange flames that seemed to consume the trees. "This is bad." Hizashi said, stating the obvious. "I've already called in the fire department and forest rangers, they should be here soon. But I don't think that's all that's going on here.".

"A villain attack?" Miki said, his voice soft and nervous. Hizashi nodded. "I have no idea what's going on down there, but if its already gotten this far than Vlad and Sho have lost control of the situation, and the students are in danger.".

Miki nodded in the dark car, his silhouette visible to Hizashi through the backlighting of the blazing wilderness.

And like a genius, Miki decided that was the moment to get out of the car and run. He had a flashlight in his hand, not that he'd need it once he got to the tree line. Hizashi called after him but he didn't look back. One look and he could get these people to stop. His quirk would make it easy, so easy. That was the priority.

----- ------ ----- ------ ------ ------- ----- ------- ------ ------

And now we catch up with the present, where Miki was literally on top of Toga after falling down a slope he hadn't noticed.

"Mimi?!"

"Himiko?!"

The two stared at each other in shock for a moment, before Miki noticed the other two people in the area. Uraraka and Asui. They looked scratched up and bruised. Miki didn't quite understand what was going on, until it all clicked. Oh Miki was sooooo fucked.

"Shigi was Shigaraki Tomura."

"I thought you knew that already, jellybean!" Toga said, a wide smile on her face.

"You know, it was fine when you were just a murderer, more people are than you'd think, but your group hurt my dad. A lot." Miki said, his teeth gritted. The dad comment slipping past his lips hadn't even registered yet.

"You know each other?" Asui said, still frozen with shock. Miki nodded, unashamed. "She bought me food and ice cream." He answered.

"You chose to take food from a murderer?! This is who you were with?" Uraraka practically squeaked. Miki furrowed his brow. "It was take out, its not like she cooked it or anything.".

"Yeah, and I'd never hurt a baby!" Toga insisted, helping Miki to his feet. The girls both glared at them.

And then it hit Miki. Why did it feel like he was on Toga's side? Why was she defending him and not them? Miki pouted a little and looked to his friend.

"Toga we have to fight, I'm not gonna side with you." He said. "We don't have to, Mimi. They don't like you, and I do!" Toga said, like it was the easiest thing in the world.

"Toga, please." Miki said, feeling like he was begging. He didn't want he positive words. Those were the type of words that made him question why he was defending Uraraka. Why he had stopped by here at all after realizing his dad was somewhere else on the camp grounds. There was that dad thing again. How did it keep sneaking in?

"There's a car, over there, just passed the slope I fell down. I'm sure its unoccupied now, Zashi probably came after me." Miki explained, putting his hands on Toga's shoulders, which was a little hard seeing as his fingers were trembling. "I can jack it for you. You could be gone before morning, its not too late. I won't tell anyone you were here, just please-".

His voice was cut off by Toga falling backwards. Asui held a tree branch. She had nailed her straight in the back of the head, knocking her out almost instantly.

"Why would you-" "Choose.".

Miki stared at Uraraka as she interrupted him. "Choose between her and your parents. I know where your dad is. I can show you where he is right now, but you can't take her. You have to actually choose, are you a villain or a civilian?".

Her voice was cold and calculating. Miki couldn't believe one of Midoriya's classmates, a hero student, could sound so cruel. "I'm not a villain! I never was-" He protested without thinking. Uraraka held her hand up to stop him.

"You stole, you knowingly spent time with a murderer and member of an organization that hospitalized your foster father, and you think you're good ?!" The older teen screamed.

"Ochaco, calm down. This isn't how heroes-" Asui began, but she was interrupted again. "Answer me!" Uraraka demanded.

"You don't understand." Miki said, taking note of how the flames were drawing closer by the minute. "Toga's like us! She wasn't treated well, she was homeless." Miki felt his voice die out as Uraraka kept her glare even. "She's...she's like us......" He begged, looking back at her unconscious form.

"Wrong." Uraraka said, grabbing Asui's arm, "She's like you.

And with that, they were gone.

------------------------------------------------------------

Oh boy did this take ages to write! I'm sorry for the update delay, this chapter was just so freaking long!

Some of you were upset that Uraraka didn't receive enough punishment for how badly she hurt Miki, and you're right. I figured that, although Uraraka is a positive, hardworking person in the actual manga/anime, in this fic she was going to be different.

And this different version of Uraraka had very conditional forgiveness.

Stay Tuned to see Miki maybe actually getting around to carjacking, Hizashi having a panic attack and Shota's POV for the first time since this arc started!
