"Oh Nayeon who got you smiling like that?" Nayeon was surprised to see Jihyo at the door of her condo. It is Sunday today so they don't have to go to work. Nayeon looked at Jihyo and no words came out of her mouth so she just shut them again.
She was wearing a black oversized tshirt paired with jeans and a converse shoes. She looked away from Jihyo since she could feel her cheeks blushing as she remembered what happened last night.
Yoo Jeongyeon.
'Wait why do I keep thinking of her? Do I like-' Nayeon stopped mid sentence when she realized what she was thinking.
'Like her?! Hold on Im Nayeon you're not going to do that!' Nayeon scolded herself then she felt a tap on her shoulders scaring her. She looked at the person and it was Jihyo with a concerned look in her face.
She forgot Jihyo was also there.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Nayeon shrugged as Jihyo sat beside her. Silence took over place as Naueon was still looking at nowhere.
The way she looks at her eyes last night. The way she holds Nayeon to prevent her from falling. The way she comforted her by hugging. The way her hands softly massaging Nayeon's aching neck. Wait.
Her cheeks heats up as she covers it with both of her hands. Jihyo is looking at Nayeon weirdly now but she remembered something.
'I just groaned yesterday oh my god' she feel like punching herself, that was so embarrassing.
"Hey Im Nayeon you're really acting weird today" she stopped. Nayeon couldn't even meet Jihyo's eyes because she knows she can read her.
"Someone's occupying your mind am I right?" Nayeon looked at her not showing her that she was shocked.
"No I'm not" Nayeon said lying but Jihyo looks seriously at her.
"You're lying" she said rolling her eyes before standing up and walked to the kitchen.
Nayeon looked at her back walking towards the kitchen before leaning back her head in the couch. She just couldn't tell her this she knows Jihyo going to tease her or maybe Nayeon is not yet ready to tell her.
A deep sigh left her mouth as she tried to remove that thought out of her head but it just couldn't. Nayeon could still feel her hot breath in her neck. The confession was also making her crazy.
"Yah! If you'll keep doing this for the entire day then you're just wasting your time" she looked up seeing Jihyo with chips and soda in her hands.
"Yah I bought that! How could you" Nayeon pouts trying to grab the foods that was in her hands but she was way too fast to dodge so Nayeon ended up sitting in her couch again.
"You also eat my foods when you're in my dorm Pabo" Nayeon rolled her eyes before throwing the pillow beside me and again Jihyo was too fast to dodge.
"Why are you even here Jihyo it's Sunday" Nayeon said in a grumpy tone. Jihyo looks at her so unbothered while eating the chips.
"Just visiting my friend" she said her voice was a little sarcastic. Nayeon couldn't help but to laugh, Jihyo is really her ball of sunshine.
"You are really a ball of sunshine Jihyo" she answered Nayeon with a hum, Nayeon stood up walking towards Jihyo but she was too focused eating so she didn't see Nayeon coming.
"Yah that hurts" Jihyo whined while touching her cheeks after Nayeon pinched them.
"Are you done eating?" Nayeon asked still standing infront of her and she just answered her with a glare then it was silent again.
"What if we hangout?" she looks at Nayeon and a large grin formed in her lips and before Nayeon could step back she could feel her hands hugging me. Good thing we didn't fell that might hurt a lot.
"Okay okay Jihyo let me go now I'm going to change my clothes" when she lets go of Nayeon she smiled at her one last time before walking to her room.
"Woah pretty" Jihyo compliments Nayeon as soon as she went out of the room. I just let out a chuckle while I look myself at the mirror.
Nayeon was just wearing a plain V-neck sleeveless paired with loose fit jeans and a white sneakers. She looked at Jihyo before looking at hetself again and a smile escapes from lips.
"Hi there gorgeous" Nayeon winks then a fake vomit can be heard behind her which came from Jihyo, Nayeom looked at her before imitating Jihyo's way of fake
"Jihyo just couldn't accept the fact that I'm really gorgeous" Nayeon said sticking out her tongue and she just received a roll eyes from her. Yes victory.
"Let's go time is running it's already 2 pm" Nayeon walked pass Jihyo showing Jihyo her wristwatch before leaving her condo.
"Did I forgot something" Nayeon mumbled as she look inside her pouch since she's already beside her car. Car keys, her driver's license, phone, money, her cards. Well, everything is here.
Everything is already there she looked at her surroundings just to see Jihyo was nowhere to be found. They walked together why is she not here?
"Yah I left Jihyo!" Nayeon was about to run back inside when Jihyo was slowly walking towards Nayeon, her face was so gloomy that it felt like heaven and earth collided infront of her.
"Hey are you okay?" softly touching her shoulders Jihyo looked at Nayeon with her sad eyes that was already forming tears. Seeing Jihyo at this state shocked Nayeon but then her tears were already slowly falling in her cheeks so Nayeon hug her tightly.
"Jihyo what happened" Nayeon still hugging her but she didn't receive a answer, she was still crying like a baby in Nayeon's shoulder.
"H-he wants t-to br-break up w-with me" she stutters in her talk then Nayeom can feel her hands forming a fist. How could that bastard do this to her friend.
"Yah I will punch him" Naueony said making Jihyo look straight at her eyes but she was shaking her head.
"Just- just- let's go" a slight nod was just Nayeon's answer before she let her sit inside the car. When Jihyo was already comfortably sitting she went to the drivers sit.
"Let's go somewhere" she said so Nayeon nod before driving her car away.
The whole ride was so quiet, Nayeon doesn't want to talk to Jihyo who was staring outside the car. Sometimes Nayeon can hear her slow sobs but she just let her. Nayeon just want to give her space so she focused on driving then she thoughts where they were going.
"Ahm where do you want to go Jih?" Nayeon asked in a soft voice breaking the silence that occupied the whole car ahe can feel Jihyo staring at her then she heard Jihyo let out soft giggles. Nayeon looked at her and Jihyo's smile that can make a whole world okay was visible, Nayeon couldn't help herself but to smile too.
"You called me Jih it's been a long time since I last heard that it's still cute" she said smiling then another minute the whole car that was quiet was replaced into a car that was occupied with giggles and chuckle.
"Are you okay now?" Nayeon asked then she realized that was a bad question because Jihyo's smile slowly disappears. Crap you ruined it Nayeon.
"No. I just couldn't believe it, after all this years being together he just left me without an explanation or a reason" she said tears slowly dropping on her cheeks again and Nayeon couldn't help but to feel sad too. She used her other hand to wipe Jihyo's tears away then she looks at her.
"Yah focus on driving! I still want to live pabo!" she said chuckling but Nayeon knows she was just pretending to lift the mood so she ruffled her hair before nodding.
Almost half an hour and still here they are still in the car driving in the highways of Seoul. Jihyo didn't answer her earlier when Nayeon asked her but then a place pops in her mind.
"I know where we're going" Jihyo was back to being silent so again Nayeon let her and focused on driving.
"We're here" it took them 20 more minutes before arriving in their destination. She looks at her phone and it was already 3:06 pm.
"Jihyo" Nayeon tapped her cheeks because she fell asleep in the ride then she can hear her groan then her both eyes started to open slowly.
"Yaah where are we?" she asked in sleepy voice while rubbing her eyes. Nayeon giggled at the sight of Jihyo, a cute ball of sunshine.
"Come out, we're here already" Nayeon said before leaving her inside the car. When she went out the cold air touched her bare face, Nayeon hug myself as she can feel the coldness touching her body, it's because she was just wearing a sleeveless.
The sound of the sea crashing to the sand is just so satisfying to hear. Nayeon let myself zone out and drown in her thoughts as she feel peace in this place.
"Wait this is the place where Jeongyeon brought me last time where you followed me and scolded me" Jihyo said interrupting Nayeon from zoning out. She looks at Nayeon with a scared face probably because about the last words she said. Nayeon just laugh looking at her funny face.
The both of them walked slowly to the place and there's a bunch of people in there. Nayeon looked at them having the great time of their life and like this place is just so comforting that even her, she couldn't help but to smile.
"Sana and Jeongyeon told me this is their comfort place" when Nayeon heard the name Jeongyeon she immediately looked at Jihyo that was clueless of her actions. This is their comfort place?
'Could she be here now?' Nayeon shrugged when that question popped up in her head. Nayeon stop thinking about her.
"Should we drink some coffee?" Nayeon asked Jihyo to remove that thought in her head and she nodded.
As the both of them walk to the coffee store a thought popped in her head again.
'So this is Jeongyeon's comfort place? I will agree at her, this place is really comforting' Naheon didn't realized a smile was already forming in her lips.
"Yah Nayeon back to earth" Jihyo flickered her fingers then Nayeon realized they were already inside the coffee shop.
"What do you want?" she asked looking at the menu and Nayeon picked Espresso coffee.
"Okay that's it" Jihyo said to the waiter then the waiter nodded at them after taking their order. Jihyo then went to the nearest table and both of them sat there.
"Oh the music is so cool" Jihyo said cheerfully then Nayeon listened to the song that starting to play.
'Why do birds suddenly appear'
'Every time you are near?'
'Just like me, they long to be'
'Close to you'
As Nayeon listens to the song she heared the bell on the door rings indicating that another customer came inside.
She didn't know why she looked at the door but she was shocked to see who it was. Her hair was kinda bit messy due to the strong air outside. She was barefaced and she was wearing a specs. She looks good in her outfit and her pinkish lips that was so mesmerising to look at.
She looks everywhere like she was looking for someone then her eyes laid on Nayeon. Nayeon could see that she was also shocked to see her but then a smile forms in her lips.
Just the way she smiled sends shivers down to Nayeon's spine and she can feel her throat drying up following by her heart starting to beat fast.
She was mouthing something to Nayeon and she just realized what she just said.
"Hi Im Nayeon"
