C H A P T E R   3 7 :  O N L Y   Y O U:

"It's always and ever only you."

               ........................................................................

It's the weekend.

We have a game against UCLA tonight. And Xavier won't stop talking about it.

Honestly as long as I get to tackle Colton I'm fine with this.

Xavier being our team captain is out, while the rest of us chill in the house.

The masquerade ball is this Sunday, and I have yet to ask Amber to be my date.

We've been hanging out a lot.

Either it's as a group or individually.

It's weird when she isn't around. I've grown to like her presence a lot more than I originally thought I would.

If she's not there, I need to know where she is. She's like an obsession that I can't seem to live without.

"Hunter asked me to be his date to the masquerade." Alice says, sitting in front of me.

"What?" I say, zoning back in.

"He asked me to be his date to the masquerade ball Jayden." She says, rolling her eyes.

Did that fucker really get a date before me?

"Ok..? What did you say?"

"I said yes." She answers.

"What's the problem here?" I ask, rolling my eyes.

"I need boy advice and since you're my brother you're gonna give me boy advice. Ok?"

I hate this.

"Go." I say, already dreading this conversation.

"Ok so see last night I was with Reed." She starts.

Reed's a fellow football teammate of ours.

"Doing what Alice?" I ask.

"I slept with him." She says quietly.

Oh god.

"Alice, that's so fucked up." I say, annoyed.

"Ok I didn't cheat on Hunter for the record. Also... I regret it ok?" She defends.

"Were you sober?" I ask

"Yes.."

Shit

"He sucked. He was horrible. He literally only lasted like 2 seconds and he couldn't even make me..."

"Alice shut up! I don't wanna hear this shit." I interrupt.

"My bad. I forget that you probably don't want the sex details." She laughs.

"You're like 5 Alice you shouldn't even be having sex."

"We're the same age." She says

"I'm older by 15 minutes, shut up." I correct.

"Ok so now Hunter is so fucking amazing like he's so goddamn perfect it scares me."

"Make that make sense." I say, rolling my eyes.

"He's too perfect to be real." She adds.

"Unfortunately he exists." I mumble.

"And he likes me. Like he likes ME. Don't get me wrong I think I'm amazing. Everyone should like me. I just don't know why he deals with me. All I do is hurt him."

I sigh. "Then don't hurt him."

"Amber. What would you do if you found out Amber slept with Reed?" She asks.

"I would kill Reed." I answer.

"I should've seen that coming. Anyways, would you forgive her?"

"Well since we're not together there's nothing to forgive her for..? So yeah I'd still like her." I answer.

"Why does Hunter like me?" She asks, quietly.

"Because you're amazing Alice. You're perfect, and any guy with half a brain cell would do anything for you. And as for Hunter.. just go to the ball with him. Stop fucking other guys. And you'll be fine."

"I love you sometimes." She says, hugging me.

I should consider becoming a therapist.

A couple hours later Jordan walks into the house.

His shirt is unbuttoned, his hair is messed up, and he looked like he just got laid.

"I found a date for the masquerade. Not that I had to find one cause' girls would kill to be my date, but hey! I got Makayla." He says sitting down.

Not him too.

Makayla's this girl who he sleeps with.

He sleeps with a lot of girls but Makayla in particular is consistent.

"When was the last time you had sex?" He asks.

"Jordan, I'm not doing this." I say, going on my phone.

"Couldn't be me." He scoffs. "Imagine being so head over heels over a girl you haven't even fucked."

"You'll get there one day buddy." I say, sarcastically.

Do I think Jordan will ever get married? Hell no.

Good luck to whoever he ends up with.

"I'll see you later." I say getting up and grabbing my keys.

"Let me guess going to Amber?" He smirks.

"Fuck off."

"It's ok Jayden, go cuddle with your girlfriend who's not your girlfriend." He says walk by upstairs.

I'll be sure to do this shit with him when he finally decides to like a girl.

I drove to campus, and went straight to Amber's dorm.

I knock on the door and fucking Jaden opens the door.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I ask, trying not to punch the smirk off his face.

"Just hangin' out with Amb."

Why does he think he can call her 'Amb'

Amber walks up. She smiles as she sees me before moving past Jaden and hugging me.

I put my arm around her waist, looking up at Jaden who doesn't look too happy.

"Jayden! What are you doing here?" She says, still hugging me.

"I need to talk to you, wanna grab coffee?" I say, still staring at Jaden.

"How can I say no to that? Give me a couple minutes. You both can come on in." She says, pulling away.

I walk in alongside Jaden.

She disappears in the bathroom and I sit down on their couch.

"Look, I really don't get your problem with me." Jaden says.

"Then you're just fucking oblivious." I answer.

"She clearly has a thing for you, and I've grown to accept that." He adds.

"Yeah?" I say, rolling my eyes.

He scoffs. "She's always talking about you. Her fucking face lights up when she sees you. She doesn't hug me like that. She looks like she wants to have your children. So if you don't wanna be her boyfriend that's not my fault. Because that girl is literally perfection. And she just so happens to really like you."

At Least he's aware.

But damn.

Before I can respond, Amber walks out of the bathroom.

"I'll see you later then, Jaden." She says, as he hugs her.

I wanna chop his hands off.

He finally leaves.

"I'm surprised you two didn't kill each other." She says, sarcastically.

"Trust me I wanted to." I say, rolling my eyes.

"What did you wanna talk about?" She asks, brushing her hair.

"Something. Come on, they opened a new coffee shop a couple blocks away." I say, grabbing her hand.

"Ok sounds good." She says grabbing her purse.

She's wearing a cute little dress and her hair is down.

I'm convinced she looks perfect in everything.

We walk down to my car and drive to the café.

We walk inside.

"Wait, this place is so cute." She says, looking around.

She orders her whatever fancy coffee and orders me one too because she just can't handle that there are people out there that can have a black coffee.

"So what'd you wanna talk about?" She asks.

"There's a masquerade ball in like two days and I want you to be my date." I explain.

"Woah. I don't think I've ever heard you be honest with me before." She says, sarcastically.

"Gee thanks."

"Hmm well why am I just knowing this 2 days before? I don't even have a dress, Jayden." She says, glaring at me.

"2 days is enough to get a dress, Amber." I add.

"Hmm fine I'll be your date to this ball."  She says.

The waitress finally brings our coffees.

Amber tries her latté and makes me try mine.

"Don't you have that game tonight?" She asks, sipping her latté

"Mhm." I nod.

"Oh my god." She says softly.

"What?" I say, looking up at her.

I see her looking at a guy in a UCLA jersey.

He's too tall and big to be Colton.

"Uhm." Before she can finish her sentence he sees us and starts walking over.

"Amby!" The guy says, before Amber gets up and hugs him.

He puts his hand on her lower back, pulling her closer.

Amby? What the fuck?

I wanna kill him.

"Travis!!" She says enthusiastically, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Who the fuck is this guy?

He has dirty blonde hair, he's tall and looks like a football player. He has his UCLA jersey on.

"You stopped calling me! I missed my girl." He says, still holding onto her.

My girl?

More like My girl.

They finally pull away.

"Oh. Jayden this is Travis, Travis this is Jayden." She says, looking at me.

What the fuck do I say to that?

"I'm Travis Stephen." The guy says putting his hand out.

No fucking shit.

"Jayden." I say shaking his hand for the sake of Amber.

"Travis, you should join us!" Amber says excitedly.

I really want to die just about now.

"Oh for sure." He says, walking away to get his order.

"Who is he?" I ask, as Amber sits down.

"Travis." She smiles.

Damn really? I thought his name was Emma.

Before I can ask Amber more about how she knows him, the man himself brings his coffee and sits on a chair at our table.

"Y'all watching the game tonight? Watch us destroy your school team?" Travis says, laughing.

Literally no way I'm losing to Amber's ex boyfriend.

I would literally rather die than lose tonight. And I don't give a flying fuck about our football team.

That is until we're playing UCLA.

"Ok sure." Amber laughs. "Jayden's actually on the football team."

"Damn really?" He asks.

Nah she's just lying.

I hate humans.

"Yeah, wide receiver." I add.

"Cool, same." He says.

"So how are you liking it in New York?" Amber asks.

"It's cold as fuck. I don't know how you're wearing that shit, but you look hot as fuck. Anyways, I'll stick to Cali." He laughs.

My jaw clenches as I try my best not to say anything to him.

Amber laughs. "We grew up in Detroit, Travis. You should be used to the cold by now."

"Me and her.." he says, pointing to Amber "go wayyyy back like fucking pre-school back."

I'm praying he's Gay.

"Yup. We went to prom together." Amber smiles.

"Mhm Amby here is my favorite person on this planet." He laughs, putting his hand over hers on the table.

He would look so much better without hands.

Amber probably notices how much I wanna kill him so she interlocks her hand with mine.

"How's Ror?" He asks.

"She's been great, talked to her this morning actually. Just high school drama. But she's having the time of her life after Tristan." She answers.

"God I hate that bitch." Travis adds.

At least we got something in common.

"How have you been? How's your mom?" Amber asks.

"I've been great, living that college life. Mom's also good. She opened up her own bakery back in Detroit." He answers.

"That's great!" Amber adds.

"So.. you two a thing?" He asks, pointing to us.

Amber laughs awkwardly trying to dodge the question.

"Gettin' there." I answer, pulling Amber's chair closer to me.

"That's great. I like you better than fucking Colton. Amby, did you finally get glasses or something?" He jokes.

Maybe I hate him a little less now.

He still needs to keep his fucking hands to himself though.

"You play with Colton." Amber adds.

"Unfortunately. How the fuck did he get into UCLA? I swear to god he never passed a class in high school."

"His parents have connections." Amber answers.

Travis rolls his eyes.

"When we dated back in high school, I beat up Colton. Because I was just such an amazing boyfriend. And amazing boyfriends beat up their girl's ex's and I was in jail for 3 days for that shit." He says.

Travis is Amber's ex boyfriend.

"I remember that." Amber laughs. "So unnecessary."

"Unnecessary? He tried to drug you." Travis says.

What the actual fuck? I look at Amber, not even bothering to hide my clear shock on all the shit Colton actually pulled.

"It was a long time ago," She reassures me.

It doesn't work.

They continue walking down memory lane, and I add in an occasional 'yeah' 'mhm' and nods here and there.

"Well it was great to meet you, good luck on tonight's game. You better not hurt her." He says getting up.

"Mhm"

"We need to catch up Amby, I'm in town for only a day though, so next time." He says hugging Amber.

"For sure Travis." She says, hugging him back.

After endless goodbyes he finally leaves.

"You dated him, huh?" I ask.

"Yup. I dated a lot of people in high school, Jayden."

"Interesting."

"You look really cute when you're jealous." She says, sarcastically.

I scoff. "I was not jealous."

"And I hate coffee." She says, sarcastically.

"Did you ever date a guy who didn't play football?" I ask.

She rests her chin or her hand as she pretends to think. "No actually, I don't think so."

"Mhm." I chuckle.

"So... you're playing against 2 of my ex-boyfriends tonight. Actually 4 if you count Andrew and Blake. How ironic?"

"You have a thing for UCLA players?"

"No actually I dated them all in high school." She adds.

"You sound like you had the time of your life in high school." I say.

"Oh no. The boys just made it a bit more bearable."

I roll my eyes.

After leaving the café we drove straight back to Campus.

"Good luck on the game." She says.

"Yeah?" I say, grabbing her waist and pulling her towards me.

"Just don't do anything stupid." She adds.

"Like what?" I ask.

"Like listen to Colton."

I cup her face, before leaning in and kissing her.

I could never get tired of kissing this girl.

"No promises." I say as we both pull away.

"I'll see you after the game, Alex said we're all going clubbing." She says, hugging me.

"Wanna ditch that?" I ask

"Uhm no. Alex made me buy this super hot dress for the club so no." She answers.

Great.

I would rather stay in and cuddle but I guess we're going to the fucking club.

"Fine." I say, rolling my eyes.

"Do great!" She says, kissing me.

"I will after that." I say as I walk into the locker room.

"Jayden. Where the fuck have you been?" Xavier says, angrily.

"That's not important. We have to win this game guys." I interrupt.

"Well no shit Romeo. Why the sudden interest?" Hunter says, putting on his jersey.

"Colton." Jordan answers.

Bingo.

"I hate all of you." I say opening my stupid locker.

"Hey Jayden? Try to win the game and don't only focus on fucking tackling your girl's ex. Your job is to catch the ball I throw to you and to score touchdowns. Ok?" Xavier says, sarcastically.

"Yeah thanks for the reminder on how to play football. Not like I've been playing since 5th grade, huh?" I say, rolling my eyes at his stupidity.

"I'm just waiting for this to be over so I can get a hot chick at the club tonight." Jordan mumbles.

"4 guys on the UCLA team are guys that have dated Amber." I say, randomly while changing into my football Jersey.

"Damn she really has a type." Hunter says.

"Oh god we are losing this game." Xavier says, worried. "Jayden here is gonna get the ring confused that football field."

"Shut up Xavier." I say.

Coach walks in and starts lecturing us as we get ready for the big game.
..............................................................................

Lizzy, Alice, Alex and I all sit on the bleachers as the place starts getting crowded.

Words can express how nervous I am for this.

Colton is probably gonna say something and we all know Jayden is gonna waste no time beating him up in front of all these people.

He already doesn't love Travis, so that's great.

And then I dated 2 more guys who play for UCLA.

It's quite ironic actually.

Xavier and Lizzy are leaving for Atlanta right after this game. Xavier's cousin is getting married and they're both part of the wedding.

The rest of us are going clubbing tonight.

Since it's a home game, the NYU team is called in first.

Cheerleaders in purple outfits cheer for our boys and so does half of the stadium.

Something about freaking Jayden in a football uniform.

He's so fine it's not fair.

UCLA is cheered for next, I remember when I used to cheer for Colton.

Damn. Memories.

I recognize Colton, Travis, Andrew, and Blake.

And then, Jayden, Jordan, Hunter and Xavier of course.

The game starts off pretty intense.

NYU gets the ball. Xavier throws it to Hunter who catches it but UCLA blocks him, taking the ball and scoring a touchdown.

People cheer as the girls and I frown.

NYU decides to turn it around by Xavier throwing the ball to Jordan who manages to score a touchdown in only a couple of seconds.

The boys work together and now it's 24-15

NYU being in the lead.

Colton says something to Jayden but before Jayden can react, Xavier splits them apart.

Jayden manages to shove Colton.

My heart drops.

The NYU coach probably tells Jayden to take a walk I'm assuming, since Xavier didn't look as pissed as he would be if the coach benched Jayden.

Jayden walks back in at the start of the second quarter.

He looks like he's finally a bit more in control which calms me down a bit.

Colton throws the ball to Travis who runs across the field to score a touchdown. But is Blocked by none other than Jayden who takes the ball and passes it to Hunter who then scores a touchdown.

We all get up and cheer as NYU takes the lead once again.

Anyone with eyes can clearly see the very obvious tension between the 2 teams.

Especially Jayden who's going out of his way to make sure UCLA loses big time.

NYU wins the game as Xavier scores the winning touchdown.

We all cheer as purple Pom Pom's get thrown into the sky.

Lizzy, Alice, Alex and I walk past the big crowd and towards the back to wait for the boys outside the locker room

This is gonna take a while since they have to shower and celebrate their win by doing their 'man hugs' and stuff.

We take selfies as we patiently wait for them.

"Why is your ex actually fucking good at football. Like I really underestimated him, he's still not as good as me but damn he can throw." Xavier says.

I laugh as Jayden walks out.

"Those were some good catches." I compliment.

"I know, right?" He says, cockily.

..................

"Don't you think this outfit is a bit too.." I start.

"Perfect." Alex interrupts.

"Yes girl you look hot." Alice compliments.

The dress:

"I know but I never wear red. It's also so short, I'm surprised it covers anything at all. And don't even get me started on the cleavage." I ramble.

"Amber you literally have the hottest body ever. Like you've got it all. And this dress does it justice, so don't worry you look stunning." Alex says, hyping me up.

"You're like my favorite person on the planet." Alice says doing her hair.

"Alice, that dress really brings out your eyes." I say, noticing how gorgeous her blue eyes look with the dark blue dress.

"Thanks bae." She says throwing me a flying kiss.

I would like this dress so much more if it was pink but this works too.

I added some bright red lipstick to match the dress, and winged eyeliner for my eye look. Lastly, I add some fake eyelashes to finish out my look.

I pair this outfit with some black high heels and a black Prada bag.

We all get into Alex's car and drive to the club.

It's dark out, and the city is still as busy as ever. It really is the city that never sleeps.

Lizzy left after the game ended with Xavier to Atlanta, so it's just Alice, Alex and I.

And the boys will be joining us at the club too.

We walk outside and towards the club entrance. The bouncer knows Alex so we get in easily. As we walk in the crowded club, the sound of loud music invades our ears.

It smells like alcohol.

Alex grabs both our hands before pulling us to the corner.

"Amber, have you ever been in a club before?" She asks.

"Nope.." I say, looking around at people grinding on each other.

"Oh damn. Ok well, just don't take a drink from anyone except for me. If a man approaches you kick him in the balls, it doesn't matter if he looks nice. Just do it. Men cannot be trusted. Uh, stay with us but I'm sure Jayden's almost here." She explains.

I nod.

"What is the UCLA team doing here? What do they have to celebrate?" Alice says, laughing.

I look over to see Colton with the rest of his teammates.

"If you want me to shoot any of them just give me a thumbs up and consider it done." Alex says.

I have a feeling she's very serious.

"Shots?" Alex asks.

"Yes." Alice says, enthusiastically.

"No thanks.." I answer.

"Amber let loose, you'll be fine. No need to pull a Jayden. Besides, show your ex what he's missing out on." She says grabbing my arm as we walk to the bar.

Last time I got drunk I'm pretty sure I embarrassed myself.

I look over at Colton making out with a random girl. I'm not jealous at all, she can have him for all I care. It just shows me that if he doesn't care, why should I?

I need to stop letting Colton control my life.

Alex orders a tray of shots. We all grab one.

"To feminism!" Alice says as we cheer.

We all take a shot, the taste burns my throat. But the aftertaste is cool I guess. It still tastes like I'm drinking nail polish remover but after like 3 shots it starts to get better.

Girls start screaming on the other end of the club. "I'll be right back." Alex says, walking away.

"You think you'll be fine here for a sec?" Alice asks.

"Yeah you go." I assure.

She nods, following Alex.

Now I'm sitting at the bar by myself.

I go on my phone and scroll through my Pinterest feed before I feel someone sit next to me.

I immediately looked up. I'm met with a blonde guy, who has really light eyes. He has a couple tattoos on his body that are peeking through his button up shirt.

"Hey." He says ordering a whiskey.

"Hi." I say, casually.

"Wanna dance?" He asks, putting his hand on my thigh.

"I'm good, thanks." I say, moving his hand off my thigh.

"Yeah? May I ask why?" He asks, putting his hand on my upper thigh.

Based on experience men seem to respect the fact that a girl has a boyfriend more than a simple 'no' which is absolutely sickening but it's worth a try.

"I have a boyfriend." I say, getting up.

He smirks. "Oh yeah? I don't see him."

"What was that?" A familiar voice says from behind me.

I look over and see Jayden, who wraps his arms around my waist from behind, pulling me closer while still looking at the man.

Jayden has some really good timing.

"Oh- Uh that's my bad." The guy says, getting up and disappearing on the dance floor.

"You're a really good fake boyfriend." I comment.

"Tell me about it." He says, turning me around with his arms still around my waist.

"I'm tipsy." I say, randomly.

"I can see that." He says, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Should I go say hi to my 4 ex boyfriends?" I say, pointing to the UCLA team.

"No." He says grabbing my face and kissing me.

"You smell really good." I say after we both pull away.

"You smell good too Amber." He says, playing with my hair.

"Where's everyone else?" I ask, leaning my head against his chest.

Just then Alice, Hunter, and Jordan walk towards us.

I see Alex dancing with an older man in his 30's on the dance floor.

"A whiskey." Jordan says to the bartender who then nods and makes one for him.

"Can I get another tray of shots?" Alice says, to the bartender.

Who then raises his eyebrows at her.

"ID?"

Alice gasps. "You're misogynistic."

"How so?" The bartender laughs.

"Just give her a tray of shots, man." Jordan demands.

"Yes sir." He nods.

Alice gasps dramatically. "You have no idea who you're messing with mr!"

"Ma'am I'm sorry I don't know what you're talking about."

"You stupid piece of shit. Does he?" She says pointing to Jordan. "Look 21 to you? No. Right?"

"Alice chill." Jordan says.

"Chill!? Jordan beat him up." She says, slurring.

So she's a bit drunk.

"I would. But I'm too sober for this." He says, drinking his whiskey.

"Hunter, come here." She says.

"That's my que." Hunter says, walking towards her.

"Amber!! Come here." Alice says, giving me a shot.

Now the 5 of us are sitting on the bar stools, I'm in between Jayden and Alice.

I drink one of the shots and make a disgusted face.

"How do people drink this?" I say, waiting for the aftertaste.

Jayden chuckles before ordering a different drink for me.

I take a sip and it's already so much better. It has a fruity taste to it, with a hint of alcohol.

"This is good." I comment.

Jayden pulls my bar stool closer to him.

"You guys come dance!" Alex yells walking over to us.

She pulls Alice and I towards the dance floor. It's a crowded place, we're in the middle of it.

People are grinding on each other everywhere.

I finally got away from the dance floor and back to the bar.

"Might wanna go get your girl." I say to Hunter.

"Thanks." He says, walking past me and to the dance floor.

Jordan is taking body shots off a girl in the corner.

I walk next to Jayden and sip my drink.

"I'm so bored." I say.

"Told you we should've ditched this." He says, pulling my stool closer and putting his hand around my waist.

"Do you like my dress?" I ask as the alcohol starts to take over my senses.

He chuckles, pulling me closer. "I love it."

His eyes trail down my cleavage.

"Even though it makes me look like a whore?" I pout.

Sober Amber would never say that.

"It does not." He says, playing with my hair.

I pull away and take a vodka shot.

i immediately regret it as it burns my throat.

"I like Drunk Amber." He comments.

"Drunk Amber likes you too!" I say, poking his cheek.

"Come on, drunk Amber." He says grabbing my hand as we walk to the other end of the bar.

He pulls me in front of him and keeps his hand around my waist as we walk.

We sit on the couch, people are dancing around. Jayden pulls me on his lap. I take another sip of vodka before drunkenly hugging him.

My extremely short dress rides up my upper thigh.

Everything I do after that is a blur.

Say hello to wasted Amber.
...........................................................................

"Stop pulling my dress down." She says, frowning.

She keeps on moving, causing the little dress to ride up on her thigh.

"We should go home, you're way too drunk." I say, trying to get up.

"Uhm no." She says, kissing my neck.

Drunk Amber is very confident.

"Amber." I laugh, as she traces her long nail on my face.

She's so hot.

"You're drunk." I comment.

"Obviously Jayden." She says, rolling her eyes.

Sassy.

She grabs my face before kissing me. I kiss her back for a second before pulling away and remembering that she's wasted.

"Hey!" She says, frowning.

"You need to sleep." I say getting up, and grabbing her hand.

"Why won't you kiss me?" She says, in a hurt voice.

Ouch.

"Trust me I want nothing more in life. But you're drunk, baby." I say, kissing her forehead.

"You're boring." She says, rolling her eyes.

I'll take that.

"Come on." I say putting my hands around her waist.

"Nooo I- I need to f-find someone e-else to k-kiss." She slurs, backing up.

"That's not happening." I say, grabbing her arm and pulling her towards me.

"This is kidnapping." She pouts.

"Call it what you want." I say, picking her up.

"That guy is so hot." She says, pointing to a random guy.

I roll my eyes.

She giggles. "But don't worry you're hotter."

I knew that.

But her saying it is so much better.

"Jayden can you please put me down, I need to walk." She says.

Fine.

I put her down.

She trips since she's more drunk than Jordan, who by the way is also wasted.

I grab her before she hits the ground and pull her closer.

"What was that Angel?" I joke.

"You're mean." She says pouting her lower lip out.

She's adorable.

Just then a guy walks our way, his eyes don't leave Amber. He looks like he knows her.

"Amber?" He says, shocked.

"Blake?" She says, leaning her back onto my chest.

Ex boyfriend.

"It's been so long, how have you been?" He asks, going for a hug.

"Greatttttttt." She slurs, moving away from his hug.

"And you got another boyfriend, huh?" He says, looking at me.

"Mhm." I lie, putting an arm around her.

"Yeah? I didn't even know that. Hi boyfrienddddddd." Amber says, smiling up at me.

"Well. I'll leave you guys to it, I guess." Blake says, walking away.

"You're my boyfriend?" She asks, furrowing her brows.

Alice runs over. "You guys stop leaving in some corner and come have fun with us."

"I'll pass." I say.

"I wanna come." Amber says, enthusiastically.

"Ok girl, yes." Alice says before taking Amber's hand and running to the dance floor.

I go to the bar and sit next to Hunter.

"I like your sister." He says, randomly.

"I know." I say, rolling my eyes.

"Ok so you don't hate me?"

"You both clearly have liked each other since grade school, even a blind person can fucking see that. Do I hate you? Yes. Do I care who my sister fucks? Not really." I say.

He sighs. "Great."

I see Alice yelling at the bartender and Jordan just watching the show.

Alex is grinding on some middle aged man.

I get a non-alcoholic champagne and take a sip of that while staring at the dance floor.

"Is that Amber?" Hunter says.

"What? Where?"

"Uh dancing with that guy." He says, pointing to 2 people dancing together.

The girl in the red dress is clearly Amber.

I've stared at that dress for way too long to conclude that.

The man looks like he's in his mid twenties.

Her arms are around his neck, his hands are grabbing her ass as he's pulling her to forcefully grind on him.

She looks like she's pulling away but he keeps grabbing her.

"Jayden don't do something stupid." Hunter says.

I walk over, ready to kill whoever this guy is.

As much as I wanna kill him in front of everyone I know I can't.

I discreetly walk over, pull a gun on his back before whispering. "Get your hands off her and slowly back away."

"Woah, man we were just having fun I.."

"I don't give a fuck." I interrupt.

Hunter walks over, grabbing Amber who's way too drunk to understand what's going on.

"I- I w-ant  gummy wormsss! Get m-me gummy wormsssss." She slurs, drunkenly.

"I got her." He assures before picking her up.

I nod, before pulling the guy outside from the back exit of the club. Which leads to a dark alley, perfect for killing a guy who just doesn't know how to keep his hands to himself.

"Dude I didn't mean to, she was coming onto me!" He lies.

I push him into the brick wall before punching him straight in the face.

"Look, it wasn't my fault. She was basically asking for it." He says, touching his now bleeding cheek.

"Shut the fuck up." I say, pulling out my gun.

"You can't do this! The dress she was wearing, she was legit asking for..."

I interrupt his stupid excuses with a bullet to his head.

**Ok I'm so done with Alice slander, they're not dating. He hasn't asked her to be his girlfriend. They both have issues. So let's not blame Alice please. She doesn't feel worthy of him, because if her past. In case y'all forgot, she was r@ped. So people saying Hunter deserves better should be ashamed of themselves**
